I have a headcanon that Kakashi has basically not worn clothes that weren’t some variation on a standard Leaf shinobi uniform since he was four. After he becomes Hokage and stops going out on missions he decides he wants to start wearing actual civilian clothes when he’s at home. Except that he has zero understanding of style or ideas about what he likes. So he just wears whatever people buy for him, namely whatever Naruto, Sakura, and Gai buy for him. Which means he ends up with the weirdest most mismatched wardrobe ever. Then to make matters worse he just randomly picks out clothes and put them on without really understanding what goes together and what doesn’t. 

Kakashi always asks Gai what he thinks but that’s basically no help since Gai always thinks he looks handsome. 

Sakura; I regret giving you that blender.
