So there’s been talk of Locus and Felix meeting Siris’ family, and Cap and I took our own crack at it.

They’ve been at Siris’ house for a while, had a meal and all that, and Locus has been quiet most of the time they’ve been there because he doesn’t have a clue the social rules for this situation and he’s feeling just a lil’ bit awkward. Then, whilst Felix is in the kitchen with Siris and Meg at some point, Locus is sitting in the family room on the sofa all withdrawn and quiet, when one of Siris kid’s appears in his peripheral.

After a few moments of silence he gives a little ‘hello’ and the kid asks him if he’ll open their drink for them because “he looks strong”. He does, and the kid almost immediately launches into a bunch of questions that Locus answers in kid-friendly ways and sometimes with some rather fantastical little stories when he can’t actually tell the truth at all. And by the time the others come back the kid is sitting listening intently to him, and Locus has relaxed.

Felix ends up carrying one of the kids around because the kid won’t let go, he loves the attention the kid gives him and the kid literally has to be pried off at the end of the night.

And finally, at some point the kid that Locus was talking to just straight up falls asleep on his lap to the sound of Locus’ voice. Locus is just like “siRIS THE CHILD HAS FALLEN ASLEEP ON ME WHAT DO I DO” and refuses to move even a little in case he wakes them up. At some point after this, when the kids are having trouble falling asleep, they ask for “uncle Locust”.

Simmons is a raptor hands autistic and Caboose is an always slouched autistic. And they both hang out and Simmons learns to fucking chill with the masking slowly bc Caboose doesn't even bother. Simmons is a remembers where everything he's ever seen is located but only when others need it autistic and Caboose is a if it's not in front of me right now it doesn't exist at all autistic. Caboose is an eats all the time autistic and Simmons is a forgets to eat for thirteen hours straight autistic. And they both burn down Autism Speaks together on purpose

Lopez being the only sane one is funny yes but we need to talk more about how he is also insane.

No one appreciated the love song he wrote so he started a robot uprising.

He was instructed to build a robot army that would bring a "day of victory" so he build them to move so incredibly slowly it would take them 24 hours to cross a short beach.

He was asked to build a jeep prototype and instead he built a holodeck to test it in, which is simultaneously more impressive and absolutely not what he was asked to do.

He didn't want to be bothered while he built a seismograph so he imprisoned Simmons in a cave and stole his identity, figuring no one would talk to him or notice they speak different languages. And he was right.

The man is related to SARGE. Yes he is competent and will accomplish everything asked of him and more but he WILL do it in the most batshit insane wrap-around way possible.

i was going to refrain from posting on tumblr but now that i know a huge part of the american arcadia fandom is in here i gotta post stuff because damn i am so hyperfixated in this game.
