Realistic Self-Talk

Realistic Self-Talk

This too shall pass & my life will be better.

I am a worthy and good person.

I am doing the best I can, given my history and level of current awareness.

Like everyone else, I am a fallible person and at times will make mistakes and am committed to learning from them.

What is, is.

Look at how much I have accomplished, and I am still progressing.

There are no failures, only different degrees of success.

Be honest and true to myself.

It is OK to let myself be distressed for awhile.

I am not helpless. I can and will take the steps needed to get through during crisis.

I will remain engaged and involved instead of isolating and withdrawing during this situation.

This is an opportunity, instead of a threat. I will use this experience to learn something new, to change my direction, and/or to try a new approach.

Other people are responsible for their reactions to me.

I can stand anything for a while because I am resilient.

In the long run, who will remember or care?

I see all things through the eyes of compassion.

Let me tell you about my panda mini-washer

Let Me Tell You About My Panda Mini-washer

As an apartment dweller, this is a game changer. My current apartment doesn’t have a laundry facility and the closest Laundromat about a 30 min bus ride which is just not practical. The mini-washer is a life saver

The panda mini washer hooks up to the sink, is incredibly lightweight (about 28 pounds, so light even I can lift it) and easy to use.

It has a surprisingly large capacity. The basket from the first picture represents about one and a half loads. The jeans took up a whole load while the rest filled the bin only half way.

Here’s the inside. The left is the washer the right is the spin dryer. Yes, it even drys.

Basically you shove your cloths into the washer, fill it up with water and let it go. I use my shower head to fill it up so it goes faster, the sink hook up took about five minutes to fill the whole tub, with the shower head is is down to a minute an a half. I do it in three wash cycles, a five minute rinse with baking soda, a five minute wash with soap and a three minute rinse with water. You have to drain and refill between each cycle so it’s a little more labor intensive than a traditional washer.

That’s the spin dryer. It’s about half the capacity of the washer so one wash takes about two loads to dry. The spinner is much more effective than I was expecting. A three minute spin gets my cloths about 90% dry. I hang them up to air dry for that last 10%.

The machine cost me about 150$. When you factor in two dollars for the bus, five for the machines (per week), the mini-washer pays for its self after only about six months worth of laundry.

I’m not great at expressing emotion, but I’m hoping you can tell how excited I am.  Let me just say that the panda mini-washer is great and I highly recommend it to anyone currently using a Laundromat.

Don't feel ashamed of doing "CHILDISH" things

•buy toys/dolls/crayons •play with Legos •play old videogames/dress up games •weave friendship bracelets •watch cartoons •use stickers •draw pics of your favorite characters

If it makes you feel nice, do it. Don’t even worry about what other people think, because it doesn’t matter–if it brings you happiness, it’s not “ridiculous”, or “immature”.

You deserve to enjoy yourself.

chellerrific replied to your post:

sits up grabs ur shoulders Mollymauk is an ENTP…

DEF one of the two accept no substitutes please share the rest of your thoughts because i may or may not have already been thinking about this (your surprised face)

“I’ve never seen a group of people more in need of a good time in my life” - opening line of ENTP trying to sell you Fun, because there is no hotter commodity.

The ‘patronize’ pun he pulls on Beau is 100% xNTx wordplay. Also Tal’s saying on talks that Molly doesn’t like Beau because she’s kinda apathetic-sarcastic (which is of course SUPER hypocritical, and also very ENTP)

Again, an ESTP would have -actual charisma -an actual fashion sense (that COAT)

The most bothered Molly got was when People were Stupid. “oh dear, we’ve been found out, our VERY CLEVER plot to destroy our OWN SHOW with a zombie has been discovered, whatever shall we do.” I think an ESTP would be far more pissed about the “going to prison” part (YOU’LL NEVER TAEK MAH FREEDOM), whereas the ENTP would be WAY more pissed that people are making such an OBVIOUS, BORing assUMPtion.
