SNB3 is so unserious when he needs to be serious. He shouldn't have even made the game. He didn't even wanna do but that's are big fuck you from him.
I wont lie there was like 3 good bits of flipside and the rest was complete ass, unfiltered cheeks and a smidge of buns. Like cmon bro a single route actually utilised the whole different pov thing, the characters felt like actual caricatures of themselves which is saying something since they're all exaggerated in the first place, and on top of that it was just foot fetish bait? Multiple endings revolving around foot fetishes?
also like the palestinian slave trade comment was fucked, like what was the need. using an ongoing genocide as shock value in your borderline fetish game is just really really shitty

I can't say im surprised I saw more people comment on jeckas slave comment (which was immediately retracted after, because she's shown to not know/care about the subject) than the fact that there's a whole ending where the UNITED STATES sells her to the taliban because they found some illegal porn they want to keep and that they've been looking for something like it for ages. And that there's a massive warehouse with a CP section and a CP (inspired by Dan Schneider) section. Also the fact George fucking Bush sends her a message after the ending. Like the writing sucks in that route and it's variations all around but please use your brain to focus on something other than that. This is the same franchise that got Nicole's teacher indicted for hate crimes because Nicole didn't know what "zionist" means
SNB3 is so immature with sensitive topics he puts in his own game like CP, paedophilia and human trafficking. Adding the I'm not a racist joke was not funny. Pedophilia was not taken seriously. The child porn ending felt like fan fiction taken out of a Reddit post.
This One Really Missed
They would usually cook so hard with these games but they burned down the kitchen this time I'm afraid.
Lenght/Playtime:
Too short. Too little options. The flow chart of this game is pathetic and can't compare to the other 2. It felt like watching a movie.
Price:
Too expensive, my localized price was 8 bucks but I learned the original is 15 from steam reviews. If you really wanna buy the game wait for a sale, the price is unacceptable for this little decision making and 5 endings total.
Humour:
I only laughed out loud at one joke.

And that was the Hat Man joke. Most of the jokes did not land this time.
The original games had this thing where the dark jokes regarding really sensitive topics (racism, homophobia, slavery, xenophobia, abuse...) landed because they had added context. Like:
- "I thought our photography teacher was a pedophile but turns out he is a white supremacist. That's not... better"
- "Uncircumcised men are gross because the media told me so, I am a teenage girl in late 2000s."
- Every straight person in school accusing Nicole of homophobia and talking over Ari because she got rejected when Ari is only angry that Nicole was mean about it.
- Jeffrey pretending to be a white nationalist, entering a straight club etc. not because his beliefs but because he desperately wants to fit in.
- That whole scene of Nicole's mom screaming at her under medicine influence about how she steals stuff from her medicine cabinet. Then Nicole, after a really morbid argument where she plays the victim to the audience, reveals that she does indeed steal her mom's meds.
- The whole route of Nicole bullying Jeffrey into being a school shooter got kicked off by Jeffrey being creepy in general.
and the list goes on.
The dark jokes had twists which made them funny. In Flip Side someone says something stereotypical or generally morbid out of nowhere and follow it with "I am not racist" or barely any acknowledgement. The biggest examples of this I can think of are the Turkish creep stereotype and the whole FYE ending.
They actually made an '09 game parodying the original. This game is what the series' haters think the first 2 games are.
The.. Feet Stuff..:
I swear it was funny at first, with social commentary and all. But then it kept dragging... and dragging...
Then I realized almost half of the game was dedicated to foot stuff. Cool...
Are the writers aware that all those minutes wasted could've gone to an ending with Jecka's mom whom she kept talking about in the first game?
Jecka:
They should rename Flip Side to "Pity Jeckainator 5000" because holy shit poor girl. The overall game was more bleak and sad than funny. Jecka breaks down sobbing multiple times and no one helps her.
Jecka's Father:
I don't know what they were trying to do with Jecka's father but none of his scenes were funny. In fact it was extremely triggering because I got treated like Jecka in the past by multiple people. Jecka is severely jittery, jumpy and horrified at the smallest yelling. She breaks down crying a lot yelling "don't hit me" and I do not see what purpose repeating her father's screaming at every scene with him serves if it isn't meant to be funny. There were literally times where I went "oh here we go again" and took of my headphones before he started screaming at her.
Nicole:
Guys Nicole is severely out of character in one of the foot fetish routes. I don't care if she is supposed to be a sociopath, that is not Nicole. Sociopaths can still separate right from wrong, they are still people so the "Nicole is a sociopath" argument I keep seeing holds no merit here.
Nicole has shown that she is capable of admitting to her mistakes in the prison ending of re-up.
Also lets put aside her mutual respect for Jecka and pretend Nicole doesn't know her at all. That still feels out of character for her. Think about it. Why does Nicole go after older men when she does?
- She is in danger and needs to act. (Coach Colby route)
- She has no other choice. (The route where her mom kicked her out)
- She is trying to get them arrested. (Her luring one of the faculty outside to get arrested)
Why would she, for no reason whatsoever, go after Jecka's dad?
You would argue that Nicole is a petty person from the Megan-Hunter route, but Megan made Nicole snap. She got provoked. Same with the Ari route. Ari was severely fucked up herself. What did Jecka do?
"I can't cut you in, I need this money Nicole"
That's it? Nicole already mentioned she was selling shoplifted goods as well so what is her objective here if not money?
Emily would do this(which she did), not Nicole, Nicole wouldn't bother. It's too much useless effort. They confused their own characters.

Some Stuff I Liked:
-Seeing Jecka's side of the first game suicide ending was cool.
-I actually liked the FYE route... until I didn't in the last 5 minutes of it.
-The Hat Man bit was seriously funny.
-The illustrations improved.
But yeah overall... Jecka deserved better than this game. I do not hate it for the small stuff I liked it for, but I will still try to pretend this never existed.

I had no idea about Tumblr’s shadowban until it happened to me. Since then, surprisingly quite a few number of people have texted me about them getting shadowbanned as well. Now that I’m aware of it, I realize it’s becoming increasingly common for legit blogs like mine to get shadowbanned for no reason at all. So hope this helps everyone who has to unnecessarily go through this.
What does shadowban exactly mean?
Basically, your blog exists and mostly functions as it normally would, but Tumblr has made it invisible to everyone else. Tumblr lets you believe that everything is fine and that you can interact with others, but actually you can’t. (Look at the wikipedia definition here.)
Why does this happen?
From what I understand, blogs get shadowbanned since they are suspected of being bots, or just sketchy, or they might be going against Tumblr’s guidelines. I’m not sure, but it might also happen if someone has reported your blog.
But more often than not, it’s just a tumblr glitch.
How to tell if your blog has been shadowbanned? And most of the things that happen during this state.
(These are the things that I personally went through. It might not be the same for everyone. Also, my main blog (@that-damn-girl) was shadowbanned. My side-blogs were fine. So in case your main blog is fine but your side blog is shadowbanned, you might have a different experience.)

Tbh I'm not really surprised by how shocking and edgy Flip Side is because that's what I expected in the original and in Re-Up. But my main issue with this game, sbn's weird kinks aside, is that flip side felt more like jecka torture porn. it's either her getting verbally abused by her dad, dating her pedo teacher with no payoff, or just her going off the rails
how do you have 5 endings but none of them seem to have a decent ending for her. i guess you can argue that the jeffery dying ending is somewhat of a neutral ending for her, but the route in that seemed like it encompassed 50% of the game
the only ending i can say was probably the best written one was the nicole suicide ending since it was treated seriously and the player got insight to what was going on in jecka's head after nicole committed. i also like her whole talk with ms ames about how no one at school really gave a shit about her or nicole after all that went down, and then it just ends like that
i was honestly hoping there would be more routes where this game overlaps with the first two, but i guess that's wishful thinking.
the only positives i can really say about this game are the stellar voice acting from kayli mills as jecka (and also everyone else), and the use of more CG panels
other than that, the lack of content in this third game is not worth $15 just save your money and give it to a c09 fanartist/content creator or something

I'm disappointed in flipside...was worth it show us foot fetish? Jecka being s3xu4lly traff1cked? Like they didn't implied it ..they showed her half naked..very draw in detail..they showed her body naked when she off herself. Nicole sitting and putting her feet on Jecka's dad's mouth????....it was misery p0rn...it also feel like the creator disliked how much people were saying "oh the girls are so cool".. like they wanted to criticized men but also paint the girls from using men as hypocrites?? So they butchered their characters?..Idk..now looking back at it..there were things that I disliked about the first game...but didn't see right well with me... Like there are red flags..even if Nicole is really depressed and Jecka too. They acted like "I want to be d3pr3ssed..I'm making a d3pr3ssed playlist on iTunes" "if I fake this disorders" u know for the audience to laugh at them as if they weren't really depressed...(not saying they aren't..NICOLE AND JECKA ARE REALLY DEPRESSED) ..but there's q lots of people ..that believe girls love to pretend they have disorders...as misogynistic and ableist it is..some people think that way..that's why they put it there as humor...
I think they had luck on flipside because instead of saying "ha they hypocrites,many girls empathized with the fictional girls in some way..or don't feel them bad about those men being used...because they were bad and they still see the girls as victims...even if they aren't good people" and they didn't shame Nicole for being misandrist and was always proven right.
I don't know how to redact this shit..it does feel like they criticized society...but also...get off on misandrist girls....and many stuff feels for shock value..more than actual criticizing or creative comebacks...

ok so here are my thoughts on it because what the fuck just happened.
i just finished the game and i want my money back. idk if all the writers were on a serious acid trip but this game isn’t like the first two at all. the first two games are super self aware and hilarious, but this one is 100% poorly disguised fetish content. like i unironically feel like jeffery would play this game.
there are five endings. two of them have to do with a foot fetish, jecka’s suicide ending has her randomly naked, and another has her sold into sex slavery??
jecka’s dad is suddenly super terrible btw, which he wasn’t in any of the other games. i wasn’t rooting for him in the first place but like he’s worse than nicole’s mom by a million points.
the writing was just bad and unfunny too. i liked the idea of jecka going to therapy and i think her panic attacks could’ve been actually meaningful, but the rest of the games + plus the endings totally kill any chance of the game having the same depth as the others.
like in nicole’s games, what made her endings so powerful was that the entire game was supposed to be funny and apathetic, so when she gives her ending monologue, they’re actually thought-provoking and lowkey almost philosophical.
all in all i’m super disappointed because i LOVE jecka and i was so excited for a game from her POV, but now that it’s out it’s just so ehhh.

It’s been 6 hour since i watched the flip side gameplay and i still have that uncomfortable feeling in my gut. I shudder every time i remember the scenes from there. especially the foot fetish scenes... I was shocked, I've never felt so uncomfortable before.
And then I thought that I wanted to go back to the first two parts over and over again, to learn new interesting details, carefully reading the dialogues.
But things are completely different with the flip side. I hate even thinking about the flip side events, let alone reviewing them. I don’t fucking know how it was possible to make absolutely all the characters in the game disgusting but the flip side and SBN made it. But that's just a little part of what made me feel absolutely unpleasant.
Maybe that was the point. Maybe not. I still hate it with every fibre of my being and i'd rather ignore this part of the franchise as if it never existed and keep drawing what i like. But i think i'm still gonna need a little break to recover from the shock
