I Don't Know If You Knew This But Araki In His Book Manga In Theory And Practice, The Craft Of Creating
I don't know if you knew this but Araki in his book Manga in Theory and Practice, The Craft of Creating Manga said that Valentine is a coward.

When Araki says that Valentine is a coward, he doesn't mean that Valentine is not capable of fighting by himself because he has shown that he is capable of that and more. Araki means that Valentine uses innocent people and does horrible things for what he wants, this is selfish cowardice and his plan to redirect the misfortune of the United States to the rest of the world is the best example of this, because if Valentine had been successful with his plans, the United States would be Falconia 2.0 and the rest of the countries would be a total disaster and would have worse living conditions and those who have read Berserk will know how horrible the consequences of the creation of Falconia are for the other countries of the Berserk universe.
Hence Valentine's stand name, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, as he believes himself that the lives of others are cheap compared to his bigger picture of him, he is very cowardly. And stands represent the soul, and Love Train is a stand that gives only Valentine complete protection, emphasis on only him, while hurting other innocents, including US citizens that he claims to protect. Then blaming Gyro and Johnny for this, when it's not their fault, Valentine is just so deluded into thinking he could never do something wrong. Coward no matter what, a true villain.

Do you remember the panel in which Himiko bites her wrist while she sleeps?

It turns out that this panel occurs right after, here Himiko's parents saw how their daughter woke up after biting her wrist in her sleep but instead of showing concern for their daughter's well-being, they took her to a doctor to treat her bite wound or try to heal it themselves, or even ask "are you okay?", "what happened to you?" or "how and/or why did you do that to yourself?", they simply say that she's rotten to the core, leaving Himiko's physical or emotional well-being aside. And the fact that Himiko biting her wrist in her sleep is an analogy to self-harm makes this situation and the behavior of Himiko's parents and the upbringing they gave her that much worse.

This shows once again that Himiko's parents never cared for her daughter to the point that they saw her as a monster as an excuse for their psychological abuse and neglect of her emotional and physical well-being and that all they care about are appearances.
Basically what Neo really wants is this:

I wouldn't be surprised if Neo ever had a scene like this:

Taking over the world was never Neo's wish. It was always Roman's. She sees no pride in conquering the Ever After or anything, she was only following him. She only wanted a family, friends, a place to belong.
The only thing I've ever really wanted, was to be understood.

I've already written about how Belos feels a twisted solidarity towards Luz and this can be seen in King's Tide. He tells Luz that he wants to save her and tries to convince her to go with him to the Human Realm but when she rejects him, Belos decides to petrify her, seeing this as an act of solidarity and mercy because he believes that Luz was corrupted by witches and he wants to save her soul.
Later in Watching and Dreaming after being defeated by Luz, Belos tries to manipulate her by pretending to have a curse like Eda but after seeing that Luz doesn't believe him and that the boiling rain is melting him, Belos tells Luz that she should save him because If she doesn't, this act would make her just as evil as the witches and later Belos tell her they are human and humans must help each other and they are better than witches but Luz doesn't move and she lets Eda, King and Raine step on him.
One of the main messages of The Owl House is weirds stick together, that is, that no matter if you are weird you can always find a place to belong and Belos believes that this ideology is only for him and humans in general and that others that they aren't human don't deserve that solidarity. After all for Belos humans have to stick together.
