So I was watching the Acolyte and I think I know why they named one of the characters Osha. For years fans have been saying that Star Wars has no OSHA.

The TikTok algorithm is so weird because I have gotten not one but two adds “For the Church of Jesus Christ of later-day saints.” (For anyone wondering that is the Mormons.) I was never Mormon, but I did grow up religious and I have enough religious trauma already, I don’t need to join a cult thank you.

This is for people who haven’t seen Star Wars (shush they exist.) I’m going to name two canon things that happen and one completely made up thing (just two truths and a lie, basically) and you should comment which one you think is the lie.

Ok so I discovered Kevin Can F*ck Himself, last year and I am so glad it is blowing up now. Fuck all gatekeepers, having one of your favorite niche shows blow up is great, before there was basically no one to talk to about it with. I am so happy there is so much discourse now. The show honestly deserves it. Annie Murphy is astounding, the writing is superb and honestly there is not a single bad performance in the show.

I could write an entire dissertation on every little detail of the show. But a small detail that I really appreciated that often gets overlooked. Is how everyone had the same accent. It is a pet-peeve of mine from other shows and movies when characters who supposedly grew up in the same place have different accents. (Yes I admit I’m being pedantic) I just think it really helps with the immersion.

I am someone who admittedly loves sitcoms, but the way it deconstructed the classic sitcom style was chef’s kiss. Much more intelligent people than I have broken down the show’s themes and messages so I won’t try here. But must say the ability to be that deep and that entertaining you don’t find every day. And it’s endlessly re-watchable every time I watch it I discover something new. It is one of the best example of a show with a great twist, that is more substance than style.

I’m rambling but what I mean to say is, spite makes the best T.V. Shows.

I love how Kevin Can F**k Himself, in addition to being a general critique of sexist patriarchal sitcoms starring a shlub husband and his "nagging" supermodel wife, also manages to be an extremely specific fuck-you to comedian Kevin James in particular.

Watching rebuild the galaxy, and I’m loving stoner Luke.
