Looking at me know you wouldn't believe me if I told you that I was top in my grade

After every term you'd find me stood up on that stage

A certificate in hand and a soft smile on my face

A young woman with a bright future and everything in place

Now I cannot study for anything any more

I have also stopped writing not long before

Tried every technique ever made

But this young woman's future has started to fade

Turning 21 and I have yet to take my learner's test

I beg you to believe when I say I have tried my best

But I am giving up and dream of taking a rest

Pressure surrounds me that I cannot escape

How do you look for help from a family who thought your depressed cries were fake?

Sorry, Mom and Dad, but I can't seem to focus

Sorry that all your dreams for me turned out to be hopeless

I’m me.

I've gone too far tonight

And lost it all tonight

Drank too much tonight

And spilled my guts tonight

I'm writing this still intoxicated but it is no longer the same night

But rather a few minutes into the morning that had passed that night

Maybe nothing of this will make sense in the morning

Perhaps I'll even forget most of it in the morning

But I probably won't and be left to deal with the mess that I had made

There is no way of taking back the things that were said.
