I always wondered what was going through her mind when she asked them to sit on her magic memory chair. Did she think they were going to say "Oh, now I remember that I really am Hoshidan! That obviously cancels out all the years of good memories I had with my loving friends and family and all the years of being taught that Hoshidans are my enemy! Gee, it sure is easy to shrug off brainwashing!"

Then again, considering that that is LITERALLY what happens in Birthright (and even Conquest, to an extent), it seems Mikoto knows her kid well.

You ever wonder what would’ve happened if Corrin had sat on the throne when Mikoto asked? I tend to think it just would have caused their transformation to happen a few hour earlier. I also tend to think Mikoto wouldn’t have thought that far ahead and would have been stuck with a rogue dragon and would have died anyway.

I understand enough german and spanish to read about 90%, and context fills in the other 10%. This is the best.

I don’t even know. It’s from a book about languages my friend’s been reading. (it’s creepy that I can understand it …)

How to make a character's death sadder

 Don’t have them die of old age after a long, fulfilling life. Many people don’t even think of this as sad (note that this can still work if you have enough of the other factors).

 Leave one of their major goals unfinished. The more enthusiastic they are about completing the goal, the sadder.

 Give them strong relationships with other characters.

 Make them fight against whatever is causing their death. Their ultimate loss is sadder if they struggle.

 Kill them in the middle of their character arc.

 Don’t describe their funeral in detail. Maybe it’s just me, but I find that long descriptions of funerals kill the sadness.

But... their face is literally the one part of them that always goes full dragon no matter what other part of their body they transform...

corrin’s battle animations in fates + their moveset in smash confirm they can selectively transform individual parts of their body into dragon form while keeping other parts humanoid. so it’s completely possible for corrin to assume a form where they’re almost entirely dragon, except with a regular human face/head
