About a year ago, I had an idea for some Welcome Home ocs. They started as a doodle in my math book, and now they have a fully fledged ref!

Say hello to the conductors of The Train of Thought, Martie and Artie Mind!

Artie was the first one I drew, but I drew his brother soon after realizing that Artie wasn’t really a conductor. They are based off the left and right side of the brain while their train is obviously based off thought.

Their first digital drawing is below. I had to change some stuff because it didn’t scream “welcome home” to me, especially their colors.

For reference, this is more of a concept for an actual episode rather than an entire AU. That’s also why I didn’t draw Caine and Bubble because their designs would be relatively unchanged (Bubble gets fairy wings and Caine gets a cloak) and they wouldn’t have stats. It’s definitely not because I just finished Zooble’s drawing and would probably keel over dead if I had to draw them.

Above is a bunch of the art I drew before making their refs. Gangle gets her own drawing because I drew her first when I was trying to decide how far from the source material I wanted to go. Ended up not going with the realistic style I started out with and far closer to the show’s official style.

This animation is a little older (I originally posted it on tik tok) but since I’ve been so busy with artfight, I wanted to keep you guys fed until I can so some other stuff.

This animation takes place BEFORE Dave and Henry die, as you can see by the normal skin tones and eyes (which were definitely intentional wdym)

This is FASCINATING. I already had an idea for what Vanny would be like in the dsaf world (tried to write a fanfic about security breach and failed) where she was a phone head, but her being human is (weirdly enough) something I never thought about. AND JEREMY! I love him!!!

Once I have the time, I’d like to try my hand at designing these guys, but I’m not sure if they’d still have the day shift charm.

Quick disclaimer: Nope, I'm definitely not making a new DSaF game.

I just saw some fanart of Vanny in DSaF on Twitter (check out their profile, they've got way more too!) and someone asked me what I think Vanny's personality/backstory would be if added her to DSaF canon and I thought the idea was fun, so I quickly drafted up something while on break from working on DT marketing stuff/Roger's route for DT!

I wrote this very quickly, so forgive the misplaced brackets and a few weirdly structured sentences:

I also wrote a lil more lore, trying to imagine what a location of characters outside of the recurring supporting cast (Matt, Jimbo, Ronaldo) could contain (like if Jack/Dave wound up at a different location after the events of DSaF 1?) and this is what I came up with:

I wrote this very quickly, so forgive me that it's not my best writing! Thought people'd get a kick out of it and felt selfish just keeping this stuff in my head since people seemed to like the Vanny stuff. If anyone wants to use these ideas for anything, feel free! Thanks!

Happy last day of pride month! I just wanted to sum up what this month means to me as it comes to a close.

To understand what June means to me, I should probably first state my relationship with the LGBTQ community. I am someone who spent years struggling to find an identity that “fit”. Eventually, I realized I am happiest unlabeled. I like being able to explain the aspects of myself that I have analyzed to oblivion and feel too complex to be just one term. I do not care if people call me a straight man, an asexual woman, a nonbinary lesbian, or any combination of terms in the world. If you hear my description of my identity and pick a label for me, even if I do not agree with it I am still happy you heard me out and tried to understand me to the best of your ability.

You might think that I don’t belong in the LGBTQ community if I don’t identify with any queer labels but I present you with this: if I also don’t identify with any cisgender or heterosexual labels, where do I belong in this world? Nowhere? If gender and sexuality are both on spectrums, where do the people who acknowledge the existence of the spectrum within themselves belong? To me, the LGBTQ community is for people whose identities do not conform with being cisgender and/or heterosexual, and I can assure you that my identity is not that of a cishet woman in denial.

With all of that background out of the way, I feel slightly more comfortable speaking on what pride month means to me. Pride month, in the simplest terms possible, is a time to celebrate what makes your identity “unconventional”, specifically in relation to gender and sexuality. It’s a period where the LGBTQ community can unite under the idea of being proud of their queerness, whether it be being trans or gay or aromantic or bisexual or genderfluid or anything in between. I love pride month. I love seeing flags everywhere and videos of parades and just the joy and love radiating off of everyone’s faces. Pride month is a time to be unashamed of who you love. It really doesn’t matter whether the person you love is a romantic partner you’ve known for decades or a friend you met five minutes ago. Pride month is about sharing who you are with those who are important to you on a personal level, and with the world on a group level. It’s about being honest with the people you love, but also showing those who may be struggling with their identity or in places that may not be as accepting that they are not alone and that it’s okay to be “different”. It sounds reporterish and stereotypical to say that it’s powerful, but it is genuinely moving to see so many people unite under those two words- pride month- to celebrate what makes them different rather than what they have in common.

In conclusion, all I really wanted to say is pride month is a beautiful way to unite with people, whether it be parents, lovers, friends, neighbors, or even strangers on the internet. I hope that someday every LGBTQ person in the world will have at least one person to celebrate their identity with during pride month.

P.S. congratulations to Thailand for being the first Southeast Asian country to pass a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. I am sure this June will be a pride month the people of Thailand will never forget. Hopefully many more countries in Southeast Asia and around the world will follow suit soon.

Hey there! A while ago, on instagram, I posted a short guide to the species of Exernia (the fictional world I created). However, that guide limited each species to one slide and it didn’t really talk about all the stuff I wanted to talk about. Plus, a lot of the stuff is now outdated and I CAN DO BETTER.

Snug was the first shapeshifter I ever made. He was my persona at the time (not anymore though) and I called his species “Crownies.” That sucked so I changed it.

Some additional info I couldn’t figure out how to fit:

They still require the same organs that living things usually have (heart, lungs, etc) but where they are differs

Shapeshifters are often mistrusted by the majority of people on Exernia because of their ability to shift, many people defaulting them to criminals or cheats.

Shapeshifters are more rare than other species because of their unique reproductive system.

Unlike some species, like Ogres and Elementals, shapeshifters don’t have a unique shared culture.

Halloooooo it’s been a bit since I’ve done a fully rendered thing.

I spent a good while on this one and I’m neutral to the outcome. There’s something that feels a little off with it, but it’s alright. Also this is a screenshot redraw of that one scene in into the spider verse because LOTD McQueen gives me BIG Peter B. Parker vibes.

Anyway! I saw @burrotello’s fight club AU and wanted to throw Minnie into the ring! I couldn’t imagine her as an actual fighter, and I realized that we don’t have a referee. I thought it’d be fucking hilarious if a mute character refed, so that’s what I went for :)

Shes far more greedy in this AU, letting Jax and Able get away with a lot more because of the pretty pennies they put in her pocket, despite hating cheaters. When the fighters don’t stop fighting, she gets in the middle of them to break it up. She’s a lousy (and very weak) fighter, so it doesn’t usually go well.
