The shooting subsided leaving an eerie silence. YN skipped down the upstairs hallway making her way up to the rooftop.

She stood in the doorway, silently watching Seonghwa and Wooyoung who were still looking down on the lawn. YN took a deep breath, forcing some tears out before running out and exposing herself.

“I did it,” she cried, “I killed him.”

Seonghwa and Wooyoung quickly turned around to see her standing before them with blood all over her clothing and tears pouring down her cheeks.

“You didn’t get hurt, did you?” Wooyoung asked running over to encompass her in a soothing embrace.

Yn pretended to cry into his shoulder, “no I wasn’t hurt, I never killed anyone before, Wooyoung it was awful. I’m gonna see his dying face every time I close my eyes.”

Wooyoung rubbed her back in a comforting way, “oh baby, you had no choice. He wasn’t gonna stop coming until someone took him out.”

“I’m so sorry I’m not stronger or as tough as you,” yn continued. “I thought I could handle doing this but I guess I was wrong.”

“But you did handle it, you did it better than me,” Wooyoung continued rubbing her back. “I failed when I tried to kill him but you managed to finish the job. It’s ok to be a little upset about it.”

Yn pulled back so she could look into Wooyoung’s eyes, “were you upset when you…when you…when you first did this?”

“I don’t remember,” Wooyoung sighed. “I was only five but I'm sure I was a little upset.”

“You killed someone when you were five?” Yn gasped

Before Wooyoung had time to respond, Mingi ran onto the roof. “Seonghwa,” Mingi said, breathing heavily, “Hongjoong was hit.”

“Where is he?” Seonghwa asked racing towards the door leading inside.

“Your office,” Mingi said in between deep breaths.

Seonghwa didn’t say another word, he instantly rushed to his office. Wooyoung started to chase after him, yn grabbed his arm pulling him back towards her. “I want to hear the rest of your story later,” she whispered into Wooyoung’s ear while squeezing his ass with her free hand.

Wooyoung nodded but said nothing before continuing to chase after his boss. After Wooyoung was out of sight, yn looked at Mingi with a crooked smile.

“Why are you so bloody?” He asked.

“Oh Mingi, it was awful,” yn started, forcing tears out once again. “I killed somebody tonight.”

“That’s awful,” Mingi sighed.

“Have you ever been through this, Mingi?” Yn wondered.

“Maybe,” Mingi nodded, “killing never gets easier. Hopefully you’ll never have to do it again.”

“I sure hope I don’t,” yn cried, covering her face with her hands, fearing that she’d subconsciously smile.

Mingi rushed over to yn, wrapping his giant arms around her slender body attempting to lend some comfort. “It’ll be ok, everyone here will do anything they can to get you through this.”

“I appreciate that so much,” yn said, burying her head into Mingis chest.

“I really mean that too,” Mingi announced. “I know I’d do pretty much anything you want me to and I know the rest of the guys would too.”

Yn took a deep breath before pulling back to look at Mingi. She pretended to force a smile as a tear streamed down her cheek, “I think you might be the sweetest person that I have ever met in my life.”

“I’m not really this sweet,” Mingi huffed looking away.

“But you are,” yn argued.

“NO I'M NOT!” Mingi yelled.

“Ok ok,” yn nodded unsure of what brought the heavy emotion out of him.

“Isn’t this a sight for sore eyes,” jongho snarled walking onto the rooftop. “Mingi, you’re needed downstairs in the boss’s office.”

“What for?” Mingi asked.

“Go!” Jongho snarled.

“Fine,” Mingi huffed releasing yn.

Before Mingi could walk away yn whispered, “I’m not this sweet either.”

Mingi looked back at her a little confused but walked off without saying another word.

Jongho glared at yn a few moments before speaking, “hmm, it seems you went through quite a traumatic event, didn’t ya?”

Yn nodded as tears continued to stream down her face, “it was truly awful.”

“Which part was worse for you?” Jongho started. “Watching Wang's life drain from his body or coming to the realization that he was telling the truth about you this whole time?”

Yn stopped the tears, looking at jongho, surprised, “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she denied.

“So tell me, did you kill him to get revenge for woo or to keep your secrets safe?” Jongho asked.

Yn cocked her head as a red glint flashed through her eyes, “You know every single person is a fool, insane, a failure, or a bad person to at least ten people and I’m all of the above,” she smiled.

“What?” Jongho asked.

An evil smile overtook her face before she screamed out, “oh my god, Wooyoung help me!!”

Yn quickly pulled Jackson’s gun out from where she previously shoved it and shot herself in the thigh then quickly tossed it at jongho’s face. He instinctively caught the weapon, mid air before coming in contact with his face.

Wooyoung ran onto the roof, rage instantly taking over his body when he observed yn laying on the floor bleeding from her thigh and jongho holding a gun. “What the fuck?!” He snarled.

“Wooyoung help me,” yn pleaded. “He’s trying to kill me.”

Wooyoung pulled his 9mm out from his pants, aiming it at jongho.

“Listen man,” Jongho started. “She’s a crazy bitch, she shot herself.”

“You expect me to believe that?” Wooyoung growled cocking his weapon.

“That’s the gun wang pulled on me downstairs,” yn cried.

Wooyoung aimed his gun at jongho’s left knee cap and pulled the trigger causing him to fall to the ground.

“Jesus Christ Wooyoung,” jongho screamed.

Wooyoung didn’t hesitate, he pulled the trigger two more times until the gun jammed.

“What the fuck is going on?” San growled running over to jongho who was slowly losing consciousness. “Stay with me.”

Wooyoung ignored San, walked over to jongho aiming his gun at his head, “I hope you’re ready to meet your maker,” he snarled.

San stood up, blocking jongho from Wooyoung. “Yo man, you need to fucking stop now!”

“He shot yn, he needs to fucking die,” Wooyoung yelled. “Now get out of the way!”

San grabbed the gun in Wooyoung’s hand, “you should tend to yn,” he said trying to distract Wooyoung, “I think she needs you. I’ll deal with jongho.”

Wooyoung hesitated, glanced back at yn laying on the ground with blood soaking her pants, causing him to run over to her.

Once Wooyoung became engulfed in tending to yn, San picked jongho up and carried him off the roof, bridal style. He ran down into Seonghwa’s office. “We need to get jongho to the hospital,” San announced.

“Hey Y/N,” a man called out from down the hallway, “wait for me!”

Y/N turned around, seeing a boy that she didn’t recognize running towards her with a huge smile on his face.

“Thanks for waiting,” Sunwoo said in between deep breaths.

“I’m sorry but do I know you?” Y/N wondered, confused.

Sunwoo smiled an inviting smile before speaking, “no, not personally but, I’m really good friends with Jacob.”

“Ok and?” Y/N asked, wondering where this conversation was going.

“Anyone that is a friend of Jacob’s is a friend of mine,” Sunwoo smiled, innocently.

“Is that so?” Y/N asked, suspiciously.

“Of course it is,” Sunwoo nodded.

“What exactly do you want?” Y/N wondered, wiping the lone tear that escaped her eye.

“I saw what happened in the dining hall and I noticed you appeared to be very upset,” Sunwoo sighed. “I just wanted to check on you to make sure you were ok.”

“I’m fine,” Y/N stated.

“That’s good to hear,” Sunwoo smirked. “Are you headed to the carnival?”

“No, I’m not really in the mood for all of that right now,” Y/N said.

“Awww that’s a shame,” Sunwoo proclaimed. “Jacob was really looking forward to hanging out with you today.”

“I didn’t know that,” Y/N uttered, looking down at her feet. She felt a little indifferent about the conversation. Sunwoo had a weird air about him. He appeared to be nice and caring but something seemed a little off. Y/N felt like she should listen to her instincts but at the same time didn’t want to be rude. She didn’t really have the room to piss off any of the friends that still remained on her side.

“Why do you seem surprised by that?” Sunwoo asked.

“I haven’t talked to him or actually seen him for days,” Y/N stated.

“Yea that’s just how Jacob rolls,” Sunwoo explained still smiling, “He’s an enigma.”

Y/N took a deep breath, forcing a smile on her face, “I guess I’ll go find him and see what he wants.”

“I can take you to him if you want,” Sunwoo suggested.

The offer brought back feelings of uncertainty. She had to learn the hard way not to trust anyone, especially people that she didn’t know. The last time she depended on someone to take her to a friend, they led her into a situation where her life was in danger.

Y/N took a step backwards away from Sunwoo, “I can find him myself.”

“What’s wrong?” Sunwoo asked as the smile dropped from his face.

“Nothing is wrong,” Y/N denied. “I just…I…”

“I’m not going to hurt you,” Sunwoo stated.

“I didn’t say you were,” Y/N snapped.

“You’re acting like you’re scared of me,” Sunwoo conceded.

“I’m not scared of you,” Y/N argued. “I just don’t know you and I don’t know if it would be that smart of me to go with you blindly.”

Sunwoo laughed, “that’s actually smart of you.”

“What?” Y/N asked

“I mean in normal situations,” Sunwoo agreed. “But this is different. You can trust me, I’m friends with Jacob.”

“Yea and I thought I could trust Niki because he was friends with Jungwon. Look where that got me,” Y/N huffed.

“I’m not sure what any of that means,” Sunwoo said, scrunching his nose.

“It doesn’t matter,” Y/N exhaled. “I’m gonna head down to the carnival and look for Jacob. If you see him first, just let him know that I’m looking for him.”

“Ok,” Sunwoo grunted, “but I think you really need to work on your trust issues. Not everyone is out to get you.”

“History has proven that statement to be incorrect,” Y/N argued.

She walked away from Sunwoo headed out of the school, making her way down to the carnival. Festivities were already in full swing. People were everywhere. Y/N walked around, aimlessly looking for Jacob or anyone else that she recognized and wanted to talk to.

Y/N went up to a stand and got a soda, she felt a distinct feeling that she wasn’t able to shake. It was a feeling that has felt throughout her life, a feeling like she was being watched. She could feel eyes burning through her soul. Y/N looked around the sea of people, looking for anyone who appeared to be watching her. She saw a man that appeared to be out of place. He was leaning against a tree, staring straight at her. She had never seen this man before and had no idea who he was. He looked too old to be a student here but according to Chan, families were allowed to attend this event so that could explain his presence.

Y/N and the stranger locked eyes, as an evil grin grew on his face, sending shivers through her body. Something didn’t feel right about this situation and she wasn’t going to take any chances. Y/N hurried away from the stand, continuing to look for anyone at this point.

She walked through the carnival, looking at all the games and rides, amazed by the excessive measures that the school went to in order to put this event together.

Y/N had that same feeling again, she turned and again saw the eerie stranger staring at her from afar. The evil smile grew on his face as he started walking towards her. Y/N didn’t want to take any chances, she ran off in the opposite direction. She turned down one of the paths, bumping into someone walking towards her.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry,” Y/N gasped, catching herself from falling.

“You really need to be more careful,” Sunoo smiled.

“Sunoo,” Y/N gasped. “I can’t tell you how happy I am to see you.”

“To see me?” Sunoo asked. “Why?”

“I think someone is following me,” Y/N sighed.

Sunoo laughed, “you’re stupid.”

“I’m not stupid,” Y/N argued, annoyed with his response. “There’s a man here that is watching me.”

“Everyone is going to watch the stupid human,” Sunoo explained, lifting his bear up in front of his chest. “You didn’t say hello to Carl.”

“I didn’t think Carl liked me,” Y/N announced, trying not to upset Sunoo.

“He doesn’t but to be fair no one actually likes you and you still say hi to everyone else,” Sunoo smirked. “Now fucking say hello to carl.”

“Hello there, Carl. How are you doing today?” Y/N sighed.

“Carl said today is the day you’re going to die,” Sunoo laughed, smacking her with the bear before walking away.

Y/N took a deep breath, a breath of defeat and disappointment before looking around, only to see the stranger walking in her direction again. She panicked slightly, running into the closest building to her, the fun house.

Everything was dark, except for the black light illuminating certain objects in the rooms. There were clowns laughing in the background. Y/N was terrified of clowns and instantly regretted her decision of entering this building. But a fun house was supposed to be fun, it was included in the name afterall. She took a deep breath and started wandering through the house, when that familiar feeling hit her again. She looked around, unable to see anyone in the room with her.

“I can see you,” a man’s voice sounded out. “But you can’t see me.”

“What do you want with me?” Y/N yelled.

The man laughed maniacally in response. Y/N didn’t recognize the voice, it wasn’t a voice of one of her previous tormentors. She knew it had to be the man who has been following her all day. But what did he want from her? She frantically ran from room to room trying to escape the fun house with no success.

“Ring around the rosie,” the man started singing. It was as though he was circling her but she still was unable to see who the culprit was. “A pocket full of posies. Ashes ashes, we all fall down.”

Y/N felt two hands grip her shoulders, shoving her onto the ground then laughter sounded out again.

“This isn’t funny,” Y/N cried.

“Humor is subjective my dear,” the man snarled, poking her on the back. “I find this quite comical.”

“Who are you and what do you want with me?” Y/N asked, scooching up on the floor trying to find a wall so at least one part of her would be protectied. She scooched until she bumped into something, something that she knew wasn’t a wall, it was a person. Y/N felt the tip of a blade lightly graze her neck. She felt the cool metal as it caressed her soft skin.

“Now it’s time for the real fun,” the man laughed.

“We finally finished exams! Wooaaahhh!!” Mark cheers, leading his friends down the staircase.

“It’s over!!” Chenle adds. “Woo woo!”

“It’s freakin over!!” Jaemin shouts, throwing a stack of papers into the air.

“What the hell, Jaemin!” Soojin snaps. “Why would you throw my papers? Pick them up now!”

Jaemin bends over, scurrying to gather all of the loose papers on the stairs.

“Hurry hurry,” Jeno teases.

“You guys help him too!” Soojin orders.

“What the hell, why us?” Johnny snaps.

“None of you stopped him,” she growls. “Now do it!”

Everyone groans but eventually succumbs to her demands, bending over to assist in gathering the papers.

“If I see a single paper left on the ground, I will cut you all,” she adds.

“So which bar are we hitting up tonight?” Jeno wonders.

“I’m thinking the bar where Hyuck loves the toilets so very much,” Chenle smirks while looking at Donghyuck walking down the stairs.

“Oh yeah,” Mark laughs. “So are you in?”

“I’m sorry guys, I have to bail tonight,” Donghyuck says. “I have to be home.”

“What’s going on, Hyuck,” Jisung asks.

“Nothing,” he says, with a giant smile on his face. “I just have some errands to run.” He looks around waiting for a response only to see everyone staring at him suspiciously.  “Well I'll see ya all later,” he laughs, running past his friends and down the stairs.

 - . -

“Wait up, Y/N,” YangYang orders, chasing behind you down a different set of stairs.

“Why are you in such a rush?” Doyoung asks.

“No reason, I just have some errands to run,” you explain, not stopping or slowing down.

“What errands?” Kun wonders.

“Um…” you hesitate.

“Did you guys finish your part of the report yet?” YangYang asks.

“Yea,” Hendery nods.

“Whatever guys, I’ll celebrate with ya’s another night,” you smile. “See ya.”

You pick up your speed and run off, leaving your friends behind with even more questions. You run outside to where Donghyuck normally parks his motorcycle, looking all around to make sure no one you know is in eyesight. He sneaks up from behind, lightly tapping your back.

“Boo,” he yells.

You nearly jump out of your skin. “What the hell,” you snap.

“What?” he laughs. “I saw you looking around, acting all suspicious so I couldn’t help myself.”

“I wasn’t acting suspicious, I was wondering what all this is about,” you stated. “Why do we have to meet here in secret? We normally don’t do this.”

“Well…I don’t know,” Donghyuck sighs, looking down at the ground for a split second before looking back at you. “Things changed between you and me, I guess.”

“What are the ‘things’ that you're talking about?” you ask.

“Well…things,” he smiles.

You shake your head with a giant smile, “what things? Huh?”

“Whatever…then we’ll just let everyone in the university know about us then,” he laughs, pulling you closer to him. “Let’s see, is there anybody around?”

“Oh my god, there’s Doyoung,” you panic.

He quickly lets go of your arm and drop down to the ground hiding behind his motorcycle. He glances up at you to see you smiling and giggling in amusement. Donghyuck huffs before standing back up, adjusting his shirt.

“So where are you taking me today?” you wonder.

“I’m taking you to the best restaurant in the world,” he smiles, proudly.

You watch as he gets onto his motorcycle and you climb on the back. You wrap your arms around his waist and enjoy the ride to the best restaurant in the world. He pulls into the driveway of his house and parks his bike. You both climb off and you look around confused.

“Isn’t this your house?” you wonder.

“Oh, I’ve never told you that my mom opened a restaurant?” he asks.

You scratch your head still looking around, “and you want me to eat with your family?”

“Mhm,” he nods. “Do you mind?”

“No, I guess not,” you sigh. “I’m just uncomfortable around new people…especially your parents.”

“Ooooooh hey,” a woman says, walking into the garage. “Is this her, the junior you told me about? The one that wants to try my cooking.”

“Yea,” Donghyuck nods. “You gotta show her your skills, mom.”

“Bring it on,” his mom says, proudly. “Come on, come and wait inside.”

She leads you both inside to a table and quickly wanders off into the kitchen. You and Donghyuck sit in silence. You’re clearly uncomfortable which seems to bring a sense of amusement to him. He watches you with a giant smile plastered on his face.  Renjun, his brother, wanders into the room, surprised to see you sitting aside Donghyuck.

“Oh, uh-oooh,” Renjun smiles, sitting down on the chair next to Donghyuck. “Hi,” he waves at you.

You look at the younger boy, confused then look at Donghyuck for an explanation.

“If you want to say something then say it now,” Donghyuck says to Renjun.

He slowly looks away from Donghyuck and focuses on you, “nope I don’t have anything to say, at the moment.”

“And how did you meet, Hyuck?” his mom asks, walking back into the room carrying a dish of food. “Hyuck has never brought any of his juniors home with him.”

“Oh come on mom, this isn’t just a normal junior,” Renjun announces. “She’s a special junior with an extra topping.”

You exhale deeply, looking at Donghyuck, annoyed that his brother seems to know about the two of you.

“She lives in the same dorm as mine, so we’re kind of close mom,” Donghyuck explains.

“Oh I see,” she says, carrying the rest of the dishes over to the table. “Here it is, eat up.”

You stare at the food, not reaching to get any, unaware of everyone watching. “Is there something wrong?” his mom asks.

“No,” you say, still staring at the food on the table. “I just think it smells so…”

“It’s made from a secret family recipe. You can’t find it anywhere else,” she interrupts.

“Really?” you ask.

“Yes really,” she nods, proudly.

You hesitantly scoop a spoonful of food and shove it in your mouth, everyone silently watching, patiently waiting on your response. The food tastes like nothing you ever tasted before. It is exceptionally good. Donghyuck smiles at you with such love in his eyes.

The front door swings open and in walks an older looking man. He is wearing dark blue work pants and white shirt stained with oil.

“Oh honey,” Donghyuck’s mom happily smiles. “I didn’t think you were gonna be done so soon.”

He walks over to the table, staring at you with an unwelcoming expression on his face. “Who is this and why is she in my seat?” he grunts.

“Father, this is my…my friend, Y/N,” Donghyuck explains.

“Where is Yeji?” he asks.

“Oh honey, that’s not important. Why don’t you sit next to me and enjoy this happy occasion.”

He grunts but ultimately sits down next to his wife. The energy at the table shifts instantly. The rest of the meal is in silence and you refuse to look up from your food. After dinner Donghyck leads you outside, his mom follows behind.

“Thank you for dinner Mrs. Lee,” you smile. “Everything was absolutely delicious.”

“You’re quite welcome,” she says. “You’re welcomed here anytime.”

“Now she’s gonna be begging me to come back all the time,” Donghyuck interrupts.

“Make sure you listen to her and bring her back soon,” his mom orders.

You smiles, “thank you for everything.”

His mom turns to look at her son, “now give her a good ride and get her home safely.”

“I plan on it,” Donghyuck smirks, resisting the urge to wink at you.

She continues smiling as she turns around and walks back inside of the house.

“Come on, let’s go,” Donghyuck sighs, walking over to his motorcycle. He pauses and looks at you before hopping onto his bike, “I’m really sorry about my dad earlier. He’s weird about who we bring home.”

“I get it,” you sigh. “You should’ve just told your dad that we’re just friends.”

An amused smile appears on his face, “Sure. Because I wouldn’t be taking you home if we were more than friends.”

You smile at him as you follow his lead and climb onto the back of his bike. Donghyuck quickly turns to look at the back tire, “damn it,” he snarls. “How the hell did I get a flat?”

You both quickly get off of the bike and you watch as he investigates the deflated tire. He turns to look at you, “well I guess you gotta stay the night.”

“Doesn’t your dad run a garage?” you ask. “Can’t you just fix the flat tire?”

“Can’t you see that his garage is currently closed,” Donghyuck laughs. “I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to ask him. Just spend the night.”

“Nah,” you huff, pulling your phone out of your pocket. “I can take an uber.”

“This far out?” he laughs. “There’s no ubers here, especially at this time. You have no choice, you’re gonna have to stay with me.”

“You seem to forget that I have legs and I can walk to the nearest bus stop,” you smirk, turning to walk out of his parent’s garage, “Good bye.”

Donhyuck nods amused by your naivety, “ok.”

The sunlight fades, making way for the darkness to engulf the world. You make your way down the country road with only the light of the moon guiding your path. There are minimal street lights along the way making for an eerie walk. You’re used to the bustling energy of the highly populated city life and you hate to admit that this is kind of out of your comfort zone.  You want to turn around and run back to Donghyuck but you’re way too stubborn to admit that you aren’t capable of getting home on your own. You shake your fears away and continue down the road, praying that you are heading in the right direction.

“Hey,” a shady looking man says, appearing from the shadows. “You need a ride, pretty lady?”

You ignore him, continuing to walk while looking down at the ground, scared to accidentally make eye contact.

“Oh don’t be scared baby girl,” another man scoffs, appearing from behind the other man. “We can show you a good time.”

You know you’re now in a situation that you might not be able to get out of. You can feel the tears starting to build up in your eyes. They are tears filled with fear, shame, and disappointment in yourself that you are just too stubborn to stay with the one man that you did truly wanted to stay with. You adjust your bag on your shoulder, preparing to take off running when you feel a hand grab your shoulder. You quickly turn, preparing to swing your bag in self defense when you see Donghyuck standing behind you.

“Come on, let’s go home,” he smiles. “My mom made up a bed for you.”

You stare blankly at him, contemplating how to properly respond. Instinctively you want to wrap your arms around him and never let go but you fight that urge.

“Ok,” you sigh, knowing you have no other option.

To your surprise, he doen’t have a cocky response or any response at all. He nods back and you two walk side by side back towards his parents’ house.

“It’s really isolated out here,” Donghyuck explains. “There are a lot of rough crews that hang around here at night too. If you’re not careful, a young, hot girl like you can get into a lot of trouble here.”

You still don’t have anything to say, you just listen to his words, knowing he is right. Afterall you almost found yourself in a dangerous situation before he got to you.

“But if you’re afraid, you can hold my hand,” he smiles, putting his hand out in front of you.

You look at him, wanting to instantly grab his hand but that stubbornness in you is still present. You don’t want to show the fear, you don't want to show him any signs of weakness. You think about where your stubbornness almost got you and you know what you should do. You exhale slowly and place your hand inside of his. His hand is so warm and your tiny hand fits so perfectly in his, almost as if they were destined to be together.

“Who wouldn’t want to hold Lee Donghyuck’s hand? Afterall I was voted most eligible bachelor, most likely to succeed, and was the homecoming king the past three years. I’m like a celebrity.” he boasts. “And yet you try to keep your distance.”

“Do you think I’d fall for you just because of all of your past accomplishments and popularity?” you ask.

“What is your type anyways?” he wonders.

“Why don’t you tell me your type?” you demand.

“My type, huh?” Donghyuck repeats, looking you up and down. “Mmmmmm. Well I like someone younger, small shape, delicate hands, fair skin, stubborn, and loves to argue with me. I’ll kiss her until she can’t open her mouth.”

You cock your head to look at him before speaking. “And my type is…”

“I already know your type,” he interrupt. “Someone sexy, funny, charismatic, cheeky and playful.”

“No,” you shake your head. “Someone clean, handsome, kind and caring.”

“What?” he gasps with a giant smile on his face. “It’s me…all those things you said, you described me.”

“Ummm,” you stare at him stunned. “More importantly, not a narcissist.”

“Yes! It’s definitely me!” he boasts.

You don’t argue, you know that no matter what you say he already has his mind made up that you are describing him and there would be no convincing him of anything different.

You walk back to his parents’ house, tightly gripping onto his hand, not wanting to let go at all cost. You follow him up the staircase in the back of the house leading to his bedroom above the garage. You are grateful of him having his own entrance to his room therefore there would be no uncomfortable encounters with either one of his parents.

Once inside, you take your bag off and place it onto one of his chairs. He hands you a change of clothing with a smirk on his face.

“Do you need help?” he asks.

“I think I can manage,” you sigh, grabbing the clothing from him.

You turn and walk into the small bathroom inside of his room. You pull your dress off over your head, replacing it with the small t-shirt that he gave you to wear. The shirt is so small that it barely covers your ass.

While you are in the bathroom, Donghyuck sits on his bed, patiently waiting for you to come out. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and begins scrolling through facebook.

Hwang Yeji updated her profile picture with a picture of a black screen. Donghyuck knows this is an obvious cry for attention and unfortunately it makes him feel some kind of way. He can’t resist the urge to click on her page and do a little snooping.

You slowly walk out of the bathroom, wearing the shirt he loaned you, the shirt that barely covers anything. Donghyuck looks over smiling widely upon noticing you standing in the doorway, looking slightly uncomfortable.

“I’m sorry,” he smiles, handing you a pair of plaid pajama pants. “I thought I had these with the clothing.”

“Thanks a lot,” you huff, quickly snatching the pajama pants from him.

“I mean I don’t mind if you just want to wear the shirt,” Donghyuck winks. You glare at him before sliding the pajamas pants on, instantly feeling a little more at ease.

“You can sleep in my bed, and I’ll sleep on the blow up,” he smiles, before walking into the bathroom to get changed into his pajamas.

You slowly crawl into his bed, without any hesitations. What you really want is for him to lay in the same bed with you. You want to spend the night with him so close that you could feel his heartbeat against yours. But you don’t want to disrespect his parents and decide not to push the issue. When he comes out of the bathroom, Donghyuck turns the lights off before crawling into the made up bed on the floor next to his bed, where you are laying. He doesn’t say anything to you, he doesn't need to. You can feel the tension and by now you know him well enough that you can tell there is something wrong with him.

“Are you stressing about Yeji?” you ask. He doesn’t respond, he looks at you with a surprise expression on his face.

“You’re not the only one who spies on people online,” you sigh. You are a little hurt that he still cares enough that her obvious attention seeking behavior is having this kind of effect on him.

“How did you forget about Jisung so easily?” he asks, rolling over to face you.

You think about the question for a few seconds before responding, contemplating the proper way to answer. “Who said I forgot about Jisung?” you ask, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I just no longer want to be with him. For someone that you can’t forget about, the only thing that you can do is forget your feelings for them.”

“So…” Donghyuck says, sitting up and moving over to lean onto his bed where you are laying. “Will you help me forget my feelings?”

“How can I help?” you ask.

He slowly leans down, closer to your face causing your heart to begin to race. Your breathing picks up in anticipation. He inches closer and closer until you can feel his hot breath on your skin and it feels so amazing. You slowly close your eyes…

“Ahem,” Renjun huffs from the doorway of Donghyuck’s bedroom.

Donghyuck quickly sits up while you pull the covers up to your chin, making sure you are completely covered.

“Mom told me to bring you some extra covers so you both will be nice and warm tonight,” Renjun announces, dropping the extra blankets onto the bed that you are laying on. “But I see that you two have that department already covered.”

“Get out of here,” Donghyuck orders, throwing a pillow at his brother.

“Have a good night you two,” Renjun laughs, slowly backing out. “And make wise choices.”

Once the door is closed, Donghyuck exhales slowly before laying back down on his bed. You smile at the cute brotherly love that they have for each other. Renjun quickly pops his head back inside. “So have you two shagged yet?” he asks with a shit eating grin on his face.

“Go away, damn it,” Donghyuck snaps.

“Bye,” Renjun smiles, waving before quickly making his exit.

You roll over, getting as close to the edge of the bed as possible. “Hey Hyuck, what does shag mean?” you whisper.

“Shag?” Donghyuck repeats, looking around attempting to avoid eye contact. “It means bathroom. He’s asking if we both used the bathroom before bed.”

“Ooooh,” you nod, readjusting in bed. “I already shagged.”

You lay down and slowly drift off to sleep. It is a restless night. You are lonely in the bed by yourself and can’t get comfortable enough to fall into a deep sleep. You open your eyes, sitting up looking around, realizing Donghyuck is no longer in his made up bed.

 - . -

Renjun is sitting on the sofa in the garage, chugging his beer while Donghyuck is digging in the refrigerator.

“What’s with the chick?” Renjun asks, cutting right to the point.

Donghyuck pulls out a beer, closes the fridge and looks at his brother with wide eyes. “Well nothing special,” he lies.

“Let’s be real,” Renjun demands, scratching his face. “You didn’t break up with Yeji, did you?”

Donghyuck looks down at the ground, then back at him before responding, almost out of pure disappointment in himself. “She asked me to take a break,” he sighs.

“Well what would happen if she would all of the sudden want to get back together?” Renjun asks. “What would you do?”

You wander out of Donghyuck’s room. You can hear the two talking in the garage so you creep down the stairs so you can listen to their conversation.

“Hyuck, be honest with me,” Renjun insists. “Do you still love Yeji?”

“Yeji is my first love,” Donghyuck starts. “And I’ve been with her longer than I’ve been with anyone else. Do you expect me to feel nothing?”

“I know you two have been through a lot,” Renjun snaps. “But that doesn’t mean you have the right to keep someone on the side like this.”

“I know,” Donhyuck nods.

“Then why the fuck don’t you clear things up with Yeji first?” Renjun snaps. “Do you like this girl?”

Donghyuck stares at his brother without saying a word. He looks as though he wants to say something but can’t get the words to come out of his mouth.

“Is it really that hard for you to say those words,” Renjun huffs.  “Or is it that you really don’t want things to get serious with her?”

“I…” Donghyuck starts. “I just can’t say it out loud. Even though I desperately want to tell her how I feel. She’s the first person that I want to be serious with but I have to clear things up with Yeji first.”

You don’t know how to feel about what you heard. It is a mix of emotions but you have the urge to cry and you don't like that feeling. You slowly creep back up the stairs and crawl back into bed, attempting to go back to sleep.

Seonghwa walked into jonghos room, anticipating the worst. Jongho laid still on the line bed, hooked up to every machine imaginable. He opened his eyes, blinking a few times before speaking, “who are you?”

“I’m your brother,” Seonghwa sighed as a tear ran down his cheek.

“I doubt I’d have a brother who would cry like a bitch.” Jongho huffed reclosing his eyes again.

Seonghwa ignored the rude comment, understanding that normally jongho wouldn’t dare to spew such disrespect.

“How are you feeling?” Seonghwa asked, sitting in the chair next to jonghos bed.

“I feel better than I ever felt in my life,” jongho snarled, not opening his eyes. “What kind of stupid fucking question is that? I’m in a hospital from what I’m not really sure of but how the fuck do you think I feel?”

Seonghwa bit his lower lip in frustration, trying to keep his patience for his belligerent brother in front of him. “I’m sorry,” he sighed. “Do you remember anything?”

“All I know is some dumb bitch shot herself and I was blamed,” jongho said.

Seonghwa shook his head but didn’t respond. Thoughts raced through his mind. Wild thoughts, things that were only seen in movies.

“If that’s all you have to say,” jongho started. “I think I’d like to go to sleep.”

Seonghwa wasn’t ready to leave, he wanted to stay with jongho to watch over him and protect him. Help him get his memory back but knew he shouldn’t push the indignant person before him.

“I’ll be back soon,” Seonghwa sighed as he exited the room.

“Please don’t,” jongho yelled out.

Seonghwa walked into the lounge where everyone was waiting his return.

“How is he?” Hongjoong asked.

“He’ll get there,” Seonghwa said. “Any word from woo or San?”

“They found his phone,” yeosang nodded, “but no y/n.”

“Tell them to meet us at the house,” Seonghwa ordered leading everyone out of the lounge. “Shits about to get real.”

“Ten?” Yn asked.

“No,” ten said. “Don’t say my name.”

“Get me out of here,” yn pleaded.

“I can’t,” ten sighed.

“Come on pleeeaaseeee,” yn begged.

“Look you can’t act like you know me,” ten whispered.

“Just help me,” yn urged. “They’re gonna kill me.”

“Yes we probably will,”Mark said, entering the room. “But until then we’re gonna have some fun.”

“You two seem awfully friendly,” jb announced, cocking his head to examine both ten and yn.

“She was just begging me to let her out,” ten explained.

“Is that so?” Mark raised an eyebrow.

“Pull the switch,” jb ordered.

“But..” ten started.

“Prove your fucking loyalty to se7en,” mark growled. “Let the bitch burn.”

Ten took a deep breath before turning the switch on, shocking Y/N. After a few seconds he turned it off and smiled at JB and Mark, “I have no connection with her.”

“Do it again,” jb ordered coldly.

“But I just shocked her,” Ten argued.

“And I said to do it again,” JB snapped, reaching for the Glock that he had stashed in his waistband.

Ten hesitated but ultimately turned the switch on, once again electrocuting Y/N.  He started to turn the switch off when JB pulled his gun out of his waistband, aiming it at Ten, “I didn’t say to turn it the fuck off.”

“It’s gonna kill her,” Ten argued.

“I don’t give a fuck,” JB snarled, “but you’re starting to show that you do.”

“Maybe we should put you into that cage with her,” Mark added. “Two dead bitches in one cage would be a lot more fun that just one,”

Ten didn’t say anything, he could only watch on in disbelief, disgust, and a little horror.

JB turned to look at Ten, “go ahead turn it off. I think she had enough, for now.”

Ten nodded and turned the switch off as quickly as he could. He turned to see Y/N barely moving and instinctively wanted to run over to her but restrained himself.

“I guess you’re not that close to her,” Mark laughed.

Y/N slightly raised her head and spit out a mouthful of blood before speaking, “you will all fucking die a slow painful death for this.”

JB kicked the side of the cage knocking it over onto its side, flinging Y/N onto her back. “I want to watch your face this time,” he snarled before turning the switch on again, smiling while watching her contort in pain from the further electrocution.  When he finally turned the switch off, Y/N didn’t move, steam coming off of her exposed skin and blood dripped down from her nose onto the floor.

“I’m hungry,” JB said to Mark, “we should get some fried chicken.”

“Oooh yea, I could eat some chicken,” Mark nodded with a huge smile on his face. “You hungry, Ten?”

“Yea sure,” Ten lied, trying to conceal the concern he was actually feeling.

“Come on,” JB ordered, leaving the room. “I think she’ll be napping for a while. We’ll check on her after we eat.”

Ten and Mark followed him out of the room to go get some food.

Hours went by, bringing darkness unto the world. There was no light in Y/N’s torture chamber, only darkness engulfed the room. Y/N laid helpless, unable to move, barely breathing and unaware of her surroundings.

“London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down,” Y/N sang to herself softly staring into the dark abyss that seemed to engulf the room, “london bridge is falling down…my fair lady.”

The cage door opened up and she felt strong hands grab onto her torso, yanking her out of the cage. She was pulled out onto the cold cement floor like a rag doll. “Come on, we gotta go.” a man whispered as he pulled her off the ground and threw her over his shoulder.

She was unsure who the man was, or where he was taking her, but anything was better than being in that torture chamber. The man carried her through a long hallway leading to a door that went outside. He ran with her still thrown over his shoulder into the nearby forest. Y/N was content dangling behind him. She fiddled with his white shirt, staining it with the dried blood from her hands.

They reached a street where a car was waiting. The man threw Y/N into the trunk and slammed the door shut before getting inside the car and it sped away. There was no panic left in her, no room for concern. She traced the outline of the roof of the trunk with her finger.

“Ring around the rosie, pockets full of posies, ashes ashes, we all fall down,” she peacefully sang to herself. She continued to sing the same song over and over until she could no longer keep her eyes open. She fell victim to the sandman’s cruel tricks and dozed off into a deep slumber.

The car came to a sudden halt and the trunk opened, exposing an unconscious Y/N.

“You brought a broken hostage?” a man snarled. “What the fuck good is this gonna do us?”

“She’s been through a lot,” another man stated. “She’ll be fine.”

He reached inside the trunk, picked Y/N up and carried her bridal style inside of an abandoned building. He placed Y/N down onto the only item in the room, a dirty mattress.

He gently shook Y/N attempting to wake her from her slumber. “Y/N wake up,” he whispered.

She slowly opened her eyes, “where am I?” she asked.

“Some place special,” he smiled. “But you won’t be electrocuted here.”

“Don’t I know you?” she asked.

“It’s me, Ten,” he cocked his head, confused.

“Oh yeah that’s right,” Y/N blinked.  “Are you taking me home?”

“Hopefully,” Ten nodded.

“What does that mean?” Y/N asked.

“We’ll just have to wait and see who is willing to pay the most for the ‘princess of the mob’,” another man announced, entering the room with a creepy smile on his face.

“I can’t believe it's time for exams already,” YangYang complains, leaning his head against a bookshelf. “Although, I feel like I’ve studied enough already.”

Doyoung glances up from the book he is reading, “that’s because you’re normally always asleep for the studying part.”

“Why wouldn’t you wake him up,” Hendery asks, walking over to join them.

“Cuz’ I’m usually napping next to him,” Doyoung laughs.

Kun turns around, placing his back to you, “you idiots, I told you guys to find some books, not make jokes. You won’t be joking around when you don’t have any more time to study.”

“Come on, let’s go over there,” YangYang says, walking towards the opposite side of the library while Hendery and Doyoung follow him.

Kun closes his book and places it back on the shelf, following them, leaving you behind alone. You continue to glance at the shelf, trying to decide what book you need when Donghyuck sneaks up behind you.

“Ahem,” he clears his throat in order to get your attention.

You turn to look at him, unamused bringing a smile to his pretty face. “So do you have a study buddy for the exams?” he asks.

“I do,” you nod, “and a lot of them.”

“What about more than a buddy?” he winks.

“Isn’t that what Yeji is for?” you ask, not being able to refrain from bringing her up again.

“Well,” Donghyuck looks down at his feet. “Yeji usually studies at her friends’ dorm during the exams and I study with Jisung. But I’m pretty sure this year, Jisung will be with at his lover’s dorm…Soooo, I want to be like him.”

You look around to make sure no one was around before asking, “and who’s your lover?”

He closes his eyes to take a deep breath while moving a little closer to you. “Please, Y/N,” he begs with a giant smile on his face. “Let me study in your dorm, with you.”

He places the index finger of each hand on his cheek, pressing the tip into his dimples, attempting to look extra adorable.

“Do you really think that’s going to work on me?” you scoff.

Donghyuck smiles even wider, cocking his head in a cutesy way.

 - . -

Donghyuck and you hide in your dorm for the next few days, studying together. You enjoye the time alone with him. Although, it only seems to make your feelings grow. The more time you spend together the harder you seem to be falling. The only downfall to studying with Donghyuck is you both end up paying more attention to each other than your books.

 - . -

The night before the exam, Donghyuck takes you to a shrine set up on the university grounds by some of the students. He kneels down before it and you follow his lead.

“Are you sure?” you ask.

“I’m positive,” he smiles. “We’ve been screwing around all day, we can’t start studying now. Listen, whoever makes an offering will pass the exam.”

“But, will it really work?” you wonder full of skepticism due to the fact that you never attempted anything so ludacris before.

“Of course,” Donghyuck states. “That’s how I survived my entire third year.”

You exhale slowly, nodding in defeat, “ok.” You watch as he inches closer to the shrine and lights incense sticks, waiting further instructions.

“Donghyuck,” Soojin yells, walking up to the shrine behind the two of you. “Are you two worshiping the shrine of good luck?”

“I just accompanied her here,” he lies.

You quickly turn to see all of Donghyuck’s friends standing next to Soojin. You’re speechless that is trying to throw you under the bus when all of this nonsense has been his idea.

“Just admit it,” soojin sighs, kneeling down next to you. “Everyone comes here.” She scoots over to make room for Jaemin to be able to squeeze in next to you.

Chenle grabs a handful of incense sticks, lights them, and hands everyone a couple. You observe everyone closing their eyes once they recieve their sticks and it looks as though they whisper something to themselves. Not entirely sure of what you’re doing, you decide to imitate their actions, closing your eyes then quickly open them.

Sijoon is the first to open her eyes, leaning forward to place her sticks in the slot on the ground in front of the shrine where other incense sticks are. Then Mark and Chenle both lean forward at the same time, banging their heads into each other.

“Ouch,” Chenle yells, looking at Mark. “Why do you have to be in such a hurry?”

“You were in too much of a rush,” Mark snaps.

“Let me do mine first,” Chenle snaps. “Your ash burnt my freakin hand.”

“Can’t you guys be quiet?” Jisung asks, rolling his eyes.

Donghyuck looks at you sitting perfectly still, “I’ll put your incense over there for you.”

You don’t resist, you hand him your sticks, smiling as you watch him taking care of you.

“Hey Y/N, come here, Jaemin and I want to talk to you about something,” Sijoon says, pulling you away from Donghyuck.

Donghyuck watches, wanting to put a stop to it but fully aware that if he says anything he will expose your secret relationship, which he isn’t ready to do that. He stands up, walking away from the shrine to lean against another tree so can’t see his friends with you. Jisung follows his friend over and leans against the tree as well.

“Hey,” Jisung sighs, nudging Donghyuck with his elbow. “Your eyes were practically popping out of your head.”

“What are you talking about?” Donghyuck huffs.

“I’m just teasing you,” Jisung laughs. “How are things with Yeji?”

“She’s studying with her friends at their dorm so I haven’t really had the chance to see her,” Donghyuck explains.

“I think the faster you talk to her, the better. If you leave things like this for too long, it won’t be good for anyone,” Jisung suggests.

Donghyuck knows his friend is right. He knows he has to handle things properly, what is he doing with you isn’t fair to you or Yeji.

 - . -

You lay on your bed, attempting to sleep when you notice Donghyuck is staring at the ceiling, deep in thought. You roll over to face him, “can’t sleep?” you ask.

“No not really,” he sighs.

“That sucks,” you say. “I guess you’ll be going to your room once the exams are over, right?”

“Well…since this is my last night here,” he rolls over to look at you with a devilish smirk on his face. “And since neither of us can sleep, I think we should do something else.”

“In your dreams,” you scoff, closing your eyes.

“I can just wait till you fall asleep then,” he laughs.

“I won’t fall asleep before you,” you state.

“I call bullshit,” he laughs, “you always snore and that’s what keeps me awake.”

“That’s insane,” you snap, “I don’t snore.”

He decides not to argue, there’s  no point, you’re too stubborn to admit you’re wrong. Donghyuck watches as you slowly drift off to sleep. You look so peacefully that he can’t help but to smile. He inches towards your face, kisses your forehead, then lays back down on his side of the bed.

“I knew you didn’t have the balls to do it,”  you smirk, not opening your eyes.

“It has nothing to do with my balls,” he retorts, “it’s because you can’t act.”

You laugh, turning to look at him, smiling at his adorable face. You are really enjoying having him stay with you and even though you don’t want to admit it, you’re going to be a little sad once things go back to the way they were.

“No, the real reason I didn’t do anything is because I gotta make things right, first,” Donghyuck explains, turning his entire body to face you

“What do you mean by that?” you ask.

“After the exam, I’m going to end things with Yeji,” he confesses, staring intently into your eyes. “I know this might a lot to ask, but you please wait for me?”

A small smile subconsciously appears on your face, “I’ll be right here…so you better make it quick and hurry back to me.”
