Autumn is my favorite time of year and Halloween is my favorite holiday. But for several years, I've been too tired to celebrate or decorate. Since 2018 my life has kind of been nothing but stress and disasters and money worries, and I've been out of spoons to do the fun stuff that comes with Halloween. It's a bummer. But I still try to take time to enjoy what I can about the fall. The crunchy golden and red leaves beneath my feet. The cool air replacing that stagnant summer wind that makes it hard for me to breathe. Cider and doughnuts. The sunny days and chilly nights. Making a cup of tea and drinking it while wrapped in the fuzzy, soft blanket I got at Target. The one I lovingly call my "emotional support blanket." Wearing heavy boots and cable knit leggings. And digging out my favorite fall scarves. I have sparkly ones, and fuzzy ones, and my personal favorite one has big ol' t-rexes all over it.

Even without costumes or decorations or pumpkin carving, I still love everything about October.

IT'S SO FUCKING GOOD YA'LL. AHHHHHHH!

So far (I haven't heard the whole thing) Midnight Rain, Anti-hero, and Question...? are my favorites. It's interesting, because usually her first single SUCKS. Like it's almost tradition for her first single to be the worst song on the album, but this one is fantastic. This album feels like a time capsule. It truly belonged between 1989 and Lover. I love Reputation (It's my 2nd favorite TS album) but sonically, this one fits right into that space where Rep ended up.

I loved Hope so much. I miss her. if you were trying to steal her man, she went into attack mode but if you were just her friend, she was amazing. She listened, she was fun, but most importantly, she was honest and she valued your honesty in return. Hope was a character you could be up front with, even if it was negative and she'd be like, I didn't want to hear that, but you're right. I loved that about her. Plus she was so cute and in the courtroom scene, it killed me. So excited to defend you because she watched The Good Wife 😆

I will read it upon occasion. I like angst and pain. Hmm, I can't think of a character whose death I couldn't tolerate. I killed off Bobby AND Chelsea AND Seb in my spookyfic, so clearly I have no soul. Wait, maybe Thabi? There's something so gentle about her, I'd be crushed if I read a story where she died. Huh. I did not know that about myself.
