The bell rang in the Byers' house and Will, as nervous as he was, rushed to open it. A smile lifted itself on his face as you stood there, a small smile on your face and a bouquet of flowers in your hands.

"This is for your mom," you said and Will smiled at your generosity.

The said mom appeared behind her son, resting her arm around his shoulders

"You must be Y/n, come in," she smiled warmly and you did as she said, following Will into the hall. Joyce returned to the kitchen after you offered her the flowers, and you turned to Will.

"Are you alright? You seem nervous,"

Will breathed in and turned to his mom "I'm more than okay, I'm just unsure of how she'll react,"

"She seems really sweet and from what you told me, she is a great mom. Remember that no matter what, I'll always love you,"

"Hey Y/n!" you heard a familiar voice and turned around.

"Hey Jane," you smiled and returned the hug she gave you. El, as Will called her, knew about all of this. He had told her already and she had reacted the perfect way, and everyone managed to not let it slip.

"Kids, come on in," A male voice erupted from the kitchen and you turned around.

"That's my stepfather, Hopper, El's dad," Will explained

"You'll see he seems a little rough at first but genuinely sweet," El said as they lead you to the living room at the table. You sat next to Will on one side of the table, as El sat on the other, soon followed by Jonathan who you had seen a few times.

As you looked around, you saw that the room was filled with details. From a vinyl of the group Will often listens, to baby pictures and old drawings.

You felt a hand hold yours under the table and turned to Will who kept his gaze on his parents making dinner. You smiled at him and hold his hand back.

Soon, Hopper and Joyce sat at the table and dinner began, as if nothing important and special was to be said.

"So Y/n, Will told us about you a lot but how did you two meet?" Joyce asked

You stopped eating, how to tell her you met her son because some guys were making fun of him for presenting Allan Turing as his hero subject.

"In chemistry," you lied "He needed help with a homework and I was there,"

Will turned to you and smiled knowingly before going back to his dinner.

The dinner went on and on and you learned to know everyone a bit better. Will's mom was definitely the sweetest woman on the planet and Hopper was, just as El said, sweet behind this strong man posture.

"Actually we're really happy that Will is making new friends," Joyce smiled, looking at her son, as she knew how difficult it was for him to leave Hawkins and everyone behind.

"Mom, hum," Will started and dropped the spoon on his dessert plate. He turned to you and you nodded to him, your hand going to hold his under the table. "Y/n is not a friend, he's more like a... he's more than a friend,"

Joyce looked at her son and smiled almost immediately. She extended her hands toward him and Will took them.

"I knew it already honey, ever since you were a little kid," she said

Will turned to Jonathan and smiled as tears beamed in his eyes.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner,"

"You think I didn't guess it?" Jonathan smiled and got up to hug his little brother.

Hopper turned to you "You better not hurt him," he said giving you a look and you nodded fast. He laughed and patted your shoulder, looking at the family in front of him.

Joyce turned to you and smiled as she hugged her son, nodding her head. You understood at this moment that she would always be here no matter what, and accept both her son and you.

As dinner finished, you and Will went up to his room. He sat down on his bed and let out a loud sigh, plopping down.

"Well this is done," you said, sitting down next to him

He turned to you and smiled softly as you kissed his forehead.

"Leave the door open three inches!" you heard Hopper from downstairs followed by El's laugh.

I’ve actually got categories and stuff for this one. So many scenarios popped in my head I just have to include them.

WHILE IN PUBLIC (IN A PUBLIC AREA):

When in public Will would probably notice signs of an oncoming panic attack pretty quick.

When a panic attack starts he would immediately get you somewhere as fast as possible. Those places being either:

Isolated

Somewhere you can sit down

Out of the building your in

He would stay with you the entire time

If his friends are around he immediately orders them to find you water and or a snack

He’s not big on PDA but he would still put his hands on yours and rub his thumbs over them

As you walked through the mall with your friends your brain started feeling fuzzy. The background noise became oddly quiet while peoples words was too loud.

“Love, are you alright?” Will said to you quietly, his eyes filled with concern.

You didn’t turn your head to him immediately and when you did your eyes were wide and watery. Your shoulders moved up and down quickly and your hands were shaking.

Will recognized what was happening and immediately escorted you to the nearest bench to sit down. When one of your friends came over to check on you, Will sent them off to find you food and drink.

He, after getting your consent, grabbed your hands and used his thumbs to smooth over your knuckles in a repetitive pattern. He guided you through simple breathing exercises. In for four, hold for seven, out for eight. Over and over and over again until you calmed down.

He smiled softly at you when you finally came back to him. “Hey baby are you alright? Do you want to leave? We can, I don’t mind I promise.”

WHILE WITH FRIENDS (AT SOMEONES HOUSE FT. THE PARTY):

He is less likely to notice as fast when at a friends house

When he does notice he doesn’t make a scene, trying not to overwhelm you

Most of Will and your friends (as well as your friends parents) are used to Will’s panic attacks so they all spring into action when they see you.

“Hey baby are you alright?” Will asks but he sounds distant. You feel tears slide down your cheeks but you aren’t even aware of them enough to wipe them away or blink.

When the others hear Wills words and look towards you they recognize what’s happening.

Mike goes off to find one of his parents as Will sits to your side trying to calm you down, using the all to familiar breathing exercises. His arm goes around your back to rub your shoulder and his other hand if holding yours.

He whispered soft encouragements into your ears along the lines of “hey calm down I’m right here” and “it’s okay. You’re going to be okay.”

When you finally do calm down Dustin hands you the bag of chips he was snacking on and you accept with a grateful smile. When Mike returns with his mom Will calmly explains to her what happened and she offers you a ride home.

Will would sit close to you, making sure no one else got super close

If it was really bad he would take you home immediately, even volunteering to go get your bike the next day so that you don’t have to ride by yourself

AT THE BYERS HOUSEHOLD (FT. JOYCE AND JOHNATHAN):

If your in the Byers household Joyce would notice first (the woman cares for you so much change my mind)

Will would notice after his mom stared at you for an uncomfortable amount of time

Joyce being the mom she was would grab your hand while Will leaves to find you water.

When Will gets back Johnathan would also be in tow. Probably carrying some type of music track, hoping it’ll calm you down. He tries.

“Hey honey are you ready to come back to us?” You hear Joyce Byers say softly as your mind clears up. “There he is.” She would say before stepping to the side so Will could kneel in front of you.

In the background you could hear music playing curtesy of Jonathan.

After you’d had a little while to recover, Will offers you his hand gently and asks you “do you want to dance with me?”

You giggle and give him your hand as he pulls you up. His favorite song “Should I Stay or Should I Go” just so happens to play. Also, you assume, curtesy of Johnathan.

The two of you dance together for a long time. A welcome distraction from the thoughts that overwhelmed you previously.

Eventually Joyce decides you can stay the night and you and Will head to bed together where he cuddles you until you fall asleep.

This is assuming you’re in his bed probably

When you’re alone his methods of calming you down gets more physical

He’d probably be sitting where your back is to his chest and you’d be in his lap, his attempt to keep you grounded

He’d place small kisses on whatever exposed skin he could access

Will held you tightly as you followed his breathing patterns, though unlike you when he held for those seven seconds he placed soft kisses to your skin.

When you came out of it you turned around in his lap, now straddling him. You rested your forehead against his shoulder. Will moved his hand up to your hair and played with it as he hummed softly to you.

You feel your eyes go heavy and before you know it you’re sleeping in your boyfriends arms.

Doing his best not to wake you up. Will lays the two of you down. He doesn’t move to retrieve blankets, not wanting to risk disturbing your peaceful state. Will gives you soft kisses scattered on your face until he himself falls asleep. A soft smile on his face.

And then Will tells the reader it’s no big deal but then the readers like “no it is a big deal, I can’t stand it when he treats you like that!” Type of moment. Thnx!

Warning: Season Four Part Two Spoliers

“I feel like my life started that day we found you in the woods.”

Mike’s words to El resonated in your head after he had spoken them during his attempt to encourage and back up his girlfriend. But it wasn’t a positive resonance.

As he spoke those words you could see the pain on your boyfriends face. With one hand in his you could feel his grip tighten slightly. The movement undetected by the others.

At first you didn’t understand the problem, it was a romantic statement. But as you all were preparing to travel back to Hawkins it hit you. You suddenly realized that what Mike had said had an unintentionally different meaning to Will. One that caused a fire to burn in you.

You wouldn’t let that slide.

“Hey Mike, can I talk to you for a second?”You said, arms crossed leaning against the large yellow van.

“Yeah man, what’s up?” Mike said casually. You could see Will in the corner of your eye, but at least this was better than doing this in the car in front of everyone.

You sighed before shifting your weight so that you stood with one hip cocked to the side, your arms still crossed. “I want to know why you thought saying what you said was okay.”

“Listen, I say a lot of things. You may need to be more specific.”

You chuckled.

“Tell me if this sounds familiar.” You quoted Mike’s words back to him. But the unassuming smile on his face showed he still didn’t know what was wrong with his statement.

Will was now standing besides the two of you, he looked uncomfortable with the tension in the air.

“I don’t get it. What I said was true. It felt like my life started the day I first saw her. Is that so bad? Is that not how you feel about Will?” Mike said. You couldn’t tell whether Mike intentionally tried to use your boyfriends presence against you, but you wouldn’t stand for it.

“Maybe I should teach you a thing or two about wording you asshole. Make you think for once instead of just spouting off your bullshit.” You said rolling your sleeves to your elbows

Will placed a hand on your arm. “Stop it. It doesn’t matter. What he said doesn’t matter. I don’t care.”

You looked at your boyfriend with your eyes wide. Looking at him was a clear indicator that him being okay was a lie. Your attention was immediately turned towards him.

“Will,” you said cupping his cheek, “I can tell you’re lying. Why do you let him slide with saying these things? When will you finally let me help you break the cycle?”

“What are you talking about? What did I say?” Mike inquired.

You had never turned your head so fast in your life. You glared daggers at Mike. After he clamped his mouth shut you turned back to Will.

“Can I tell him or will you?” You asked Will.

“You can do it.” Will said. Placing one hand over your own on his cheek, then pulling it off slowly, your own hand in tow.

“You say the day you met El was the day your life began.” You begin, making unbroken eye contact with Mike. “Think about why you met her. Why you were on Mirkwood that day. You were there because Will was kidnapped by the Demogorgon, launching into the most traumatic thing that someone that young could’ve experienced. Not only that, it means that you didn’t care before that day. You started giving a shit after Will went missing. That’s what you said Wheeler. That’s why I’m upset. Why Will’s fucking upset. You’re a piece of shit who doesn’t think before he talks and who doesn’t care about anyone but his girlfriend.”

Will had to pull your arm to make you stop talking. You and him both knew that if you continued, it would likely cause more of a fight.

Mike’s eyes were wide as he apologized frantically.

“Will, I didn’t mean it like that. I’m so sorry. I didn’t think. He’s right.”

Will turned away from him. “You should stop doing things like this. Maybe then I’ll be able to happily accept your apologies. But for now go take care of your girlfriend. She’s the reason your life began, remember?” Will walked away with you trailing slowly behind him.

The three of you hardly talked on the way back to Hawkins, the only interaction had was Will, rubbing shapes into the palm of your hand and you let him.

Hours after the confrontation you, Mike, and Will still hadn’t spoken a word. The sun had set, filling the sky with a peaceful darkness, as the stars twinkled in the distance.

Mike was sleeping with his head in his hand, leaning against the window. Will’s head was resting gently on your shoulder, though you had to stay slightly hunched over to make it work. It was the first time in the whole car ride that the tension in the air was settled. The only other person in the car who was awake besides you was Will’s older brother, Johnathan.

When you had first met Johnathan, he was a bit odd in your opinion. He didn’t speak much to anyone other than Will and he was always just taking pictures at random moments.

However as you had gotten to know him more through Will, the two of you became as close of friends as one could be with their boyfriends older brother.

Tonight you had occasionally caught him glancing at you many times. The most recent time you finally decided to speak up.

“So Johnathan are you going to keep staring at me or are you gonna tell me what’s up?”

He turned to you looking shocked before responding with, “I’m really happy Will has you y’know?” His fingers shifted on the wheel as he glanced between your face and the road ahead of him.

“What brought this on?” You inquired, a small smirk rising on your face.

“Well I heard your conversation with Mike before we left.” Your face flushed red. You couldn’t believe that despite your best efforts to conceal the conversation, someone had still heard the words you spoke.

“Look I’m sorry, I know it was an overreaction I-“

Johnathan was quick to cut off your explanation with a soft laugh. “No, it’s okay.” He said between chuckles. “I would’ve done the same thing. Except I wouldn’t have been nearly as nice about it. Mike would’ve probably been strangled at this point if I had my way.”

The two of you shared a few laughs. Keeping it quiet so you wouldn’t wake up any of the passengers around you. The next time it quieted down between you Johnathan broke the silence once again.

“As much as I want to I can’t be there for Will forever.” He ran his hand over his face as he spoke. “And he won’t need me as much the older he gets.”

You nod. Gesturing for him to continue.

“I need you to promise me you’ll watch over my brother. Be his rock.” Johnathan asked, voice quiet and hitching in the final sentence.

As if on cue Will shifted against you, opening his eyes and staring into your own.

“Are we in Hawkins yet?” He asked.

You chuckled softly. “No baby, not yet. Go back to sleep. It’s okay.” You kissed his forehead before he tucked his head into your shoulder.

“I promise you Jonathan. I’ll be there for him. Forever and always.”

Johnathan smiled behind the wheel not moving his eyes from the road. He clearly was acceptant or your statement and you allowed yourself to rest.

Because you were sitting next to the window, you shifted your position so that your back was against the door and Will was against your chest, the sound of his steady breathing and the car tires against the road lulled you into a deep and calm sleep.

God knows what would happen tomorrow or the next day, but you knew you would do anything for your boyfriend and his brother.

I don’t like the ending that much but I did my best <3
