“When are we going to Calfironia?” Jonathan asked his mom wondering how much more time they had left with their friends.
“Soon.” Joyce answered as they continued to eat.
“When is soon? I want to know when I have to say goodbye to the party?” Will pleaded for more of an exact answer.
“We aren’t going till Billy’s better and can leave the hospital.” Joyce told her boys.
“For Y/n’s sake?” Jonathan hoped they wouldn’t leave till Billy was better. For his sister's emotional health most of all. She wouldn’t be able to handle leaving Billy in his current state. The Mall accident was bad all around but Billy got the worst of it, but at least he was alive.
“Yes. For Y/n’s sake. Your sister loves Billy and I’ve seen his love for her.” Joyce nodded in confirmation. What happened to Billy affected him and her daughter the most. Joyce knows for a fact they love each other and seeing him almost die killed Y/n. She couldn’t take her away with Billy still in the hospital.
“I hope he heals fast. I hate seeing her so distraught.” Will nodded in agreement, it was hard seeing his badass sister so broken.
“We all do.” Jonathan reached over and squeezed his shoulder. Billy had treated a lot of them horribly but no one deserved what he did to save El.

“Hey” Y/n greeted Billy as she entered his hospital room. She never would’ve left but she wasn’t allowed to stay once visiting hours were over. So Y/n comes back every morning.
“Hey. Did you eat?” Billy questions, he noticed she had gotten thinner and it worried him.
“Yes, I ate.” she nodded, giving him a sarcastic smile, knowing he means well. Y/n to noticed her weight loss like she’s sure he did. But she was still eating, it must be stress.
“Just making sure you're still taking care of yourself.” Billy reached out to grab her hand in his.
“Your my priority right now.” Y/n looked into his eyes, squeezing his hand.
“I can’t be your priority if you end up sick and in the hospital right next to me.” Billy points out with a stern look in his eyes even though he wasn’t angry he’s just worried.
“What’d the doctor say?” Y/n asked changing the subject and hoping the doctor said he’s improving.
“That I can leave and be discharged in two days.” Billy smiled at her pulling her with enough force that she leaned on top of him.
“Thank god.” Y/n smiled, hugging him tightly.

“When are you moving?” Billy asked as they sat on her bed in Y/n’s room surrounded by boxes.
“Soon.” Y/n looked down, sadness evident in her demeanor. Leaving Hawkins wasn’t the hard part that made her sad, but leaving Billy? That did. “Mom says we’ll leave in the next couple days.”
The two stayed silent for a while not knowing what to say.
“Hey I’m gonna get a drink. Do you want anything?” After a while Billy spoke up having an idea but he needed to leave the room and if it didn’t go as planned he didn’t want Y/n any more hurt than she already was.
“A coke please.” y/n gives him a tight smile in thanks but still in a sad mood.
Billy walked down the hall into the kitchen and saw Misses Byers just who he was looking for.
“Hi Billy.” Joyce greeted upon seeing him come out of the hallway.
“Hey Joyce.” Billy greeted back as he went to the fridge and grabbed himself and Y/n;s drinks before closing the fridge, turning around and asking. “Can I talk to you for a minute?”
“Sure.” Joyce nodds pointing to the table so they both could sit.
“Thanks for staying till I was healed. It means everything to me to have had y/n here for it.” Billy started off by thanking her, he knew they didn’t have to wait but they did and he appreciated it.
“Of course, Billy.” Joyce sent him a smile, it also felt kinda good and odd to hear him thank you. That's not something Billy’s known for. She also knew how hard it must be for him to talk to her like this. With his home life she knows he’s not comfortable around most adult’s.
“I know you’re all moving to California soon. I’m from there and I’ve missed it since the moment I was forced to leave. I don’t want to be seperated from Y/n.” Y/n was the only thing he liked about his time in Hawkins. He was glad in a way he had moved to Hawkins, he met y/n because of it and he wouldn’t have otherwise. “Would you mind if I come with you guys?” he asked nervously.
“Billy you're welcome to join us, and I think it would also be the best decision for you and y/n’s emotional and mental well beginnings.” Joyce smiled warmly at the young man that was going to fight to stay with her daughter. She couldn’t ask for better for her daughter. “You can stay with us as well. Till you find a job and get a place of your own.”
BIlly let out a shocked but relieved breath. Looking Joyce in the eye’s. He was grateful to her. “Thank you, Joyce.”
Joyce waved him off. “You're welcome, and thank you Billy. For the joy and happiness you bring my daughter.”
With the conversation done Billy headed back to Y/n’s room with their drinks.
“Took ya awhile. Thank you.” Y/n smiled, thanking and teasing him. She grabbed her coke, taking a sip all the while Billy walked around the bed to sit across from Y/n on it.
“No problem.” Billy wanted to tell her to badly to wait any longer. “I do have some news.”
“What's up?” Y/n sat up fully giving him all her attention.
“I talked to your mom just now.” he told her as they faced each other.
“Okay?” Y/n stretched out, raising a brow. ‘He talked to my mom?’ she thought, ‘what about?’
“I can’t wait to show you all my favorite places.” he smiled at her. Billy wanted her to figure it out, he watched her look confused for a few seconds before her face lit up and billy let out a laugh knowing she got it.
“You’re coming to Cali?!” Y/n exclaimed with a huge smile across her lips.
“Yeah I’m coming.” Billy nodded with a matching smile.
Y/n leaped across her bed and hugged him, the force knocking them both back so y/n layed on top of him. “Yes! Thank you.”
“No, Y/n. Thank you.” Billy spoke softly, brushing her hair back with one hand and the other wrapped around her waist tightly so Y/n could go anywhere. They were never going to be separated again. Not if he could help it. She saw him for who he was under the asshole he betrayed, she made him a better man.

The last scene of the show being Hopper and Joyce’s wedding? Amazing thank you. Max waking up from the coma and Lucas helping her through it all? Yes thank you. The core four being back but we see the development in their dynamics in comparison from s1? A dream! Will getting a bf? Somehow someone needs to make that happen! Hopper-Byers family all together at the dinner table just enjoying life? more of that please! Nancy and Mike finally getting a scene together after four seasons? I would like to see it! Mike and El finally not being separated for a whole season? It’s about time! Karen and El interacting? It would be something so personal to me. Elmax reunion but make it irl? It’s what we deserve! Happy ending for everyone because not every story needs to be tragic? Yes, please, and thank you 🥹
What do you think Nancy’s love triangle?
I watched the show for the first time in 2016. I’ve always been a fan of Nancy and Steve as a couple. I was ecstatic when at the end of season 1 they were together. I always loved when shows are able to impress me and change character prototypes. And Steve did that, and with Steve so did Stancy.
Season two comes around, and we discover that Nancy doesn’t really love Steve. She likes him, so when she’s tired of waiting for Johnathan, she gets with him. And she really, really likes him. But not in the way she loves Johnathan. Obviously my heart broke for Steve because she was probably the first girl he ever loved. But Steve knows the truth, she’s happy with Johnathan, and he goes with “if you really love them you have to let them go”. So my stancy heart broke but it made sense for her to end up with Johnathan.
Season 3. We see that Nancy and Jonathan have different upbringings and they both struggle to see each other point of view (something that we also saw in s1). But at the end of the day they love each other, and that’s enough. They’ll fight but they’ll learn from the other and that’s what it means to be a couple. Steve? He still loves Nancy but he also doesn’t seem to be stuck on her anymore.
Now season 4, I have a real problem with season 4. And not just because love triangles are the worst trope ever and it’s been four seasons and they’re still dragging this shit.
Johnathan storyline and why he lied to Nancy is okay, and it makes sense for his character. He doesn’t want to be like his dad, he’s always been there to support Will and Joyce and he doesn’t want to leave them, being more like a second father than son/sibling. The only storyline that actually made sense in the trio and it was the only one that wasn’t developed, just postponed to season 5.
But Nancy? She is pursuing her dream as a journalist as she always did, she says she loves Johnathan, as we been knew. And then she goes on all season making heart eyes at Steve? Just because Johnathan was away? Kind of out of character if you ask me. Steve? I’m not saying that he was 100% over Nancy but making him say that his dream is having a future with her while he knows she’s in a happy relationship with Johnathan, that’s not at all steve-like
PLUS Eddie making comments about them when he doesn’t know how things went between them so why was he giving Steve false hope? Robin doesn’t even know Johnathan so why is she talking to Nancy about their relationship?
It’s just seems to me that the writers kinda forgot what happened the last three season because was there really a reason for Steve to say that he changed when Nancy knew this since season one. It seems that the duffers don’t know what to do with Steve’s character so they keep coming back to his relationship with Nancy and him not being able to get girls/ find the right girl. And all of that to also ignore Johnathan as a character.
So yeah, I expected Nancy and Steve to be besties this season and was really disappointed. As someone that always shipped stancy and grew to love jancy, I hated the way they handled their dynamics this season.

Hours after the confrontation you, Mike, and Will still hadn’t spoken a word. The sun had set, filling the sky with a peaceful darkness, as the stars twinkled in the distance.
Mike was sleeping with his head in his hand, leaning against the window. Will’s head was resting gently on your shoulder, though you had to stay slightly hunched over to make it work. It was the first time in the whole car ride that the tension in the air was settled. The only other person in the car who was awake besides you was Will’s older brother, Johnathan.
When you had first met Johnathan, he was a bit odd in your opinion. He didn’t speak much to anyone other than Will and he was always just taking pictures at random moments.
However as you had gotten to know him more through Will, the two of you became as close of friends as one could be with their boyfriends older brother.
Tonight you had occasionally caught him glancing at you many times. The most recent time you finally decided to speak up.
“So Johnathan are you going to keep staring at me or are you gonna tell me what’s up?”
He turned to you looking shocked before responding with, “I’m really happy Will has you y’know?” His fingers shifted on the wheel as he glanced between your face and the road ahead of him.
“What brought this on?” You inquired, a small smirk rising on your face.
“Well I heard your conversation with Mike before we left.” Your face flushed red. You couldn’t believe that despite your best efforts to conceal the conversation, someone had still heard the words you spoke.
“Look I’m sorry, I know it was an overreaction I-“
Johnathan was quick to cut off your explanation with a soft laugh. “No, it’s okay.” He said between chuckles. “I would’ve done the same thing. Except I wouldn’t have been nearly as nice about it. Mike would’ve probably been strangled at this point if I had my way.”
The two of you shared a few laughs. Keeping it quiet so you wouldn’t wake up any of the passengers around you. The next time it quieted down between you Johnathan broke the silence once again.
“As much as I want to I can’t be there for Will forever.” He ran his hand over his face as he spoke. “And he won’t need me as much the older he gets.”
You nod. Gesturing for him to continue.
“I need you to promise me you’ll watch over my brother. Be his rock.” Johnathan asked, voice quiet and hitching in the final sentence.
As if on cue Will shifted against you, opening his eyes and staring into your own.
“Are we in Hawkins yet?” He asked.
You chuckled softly. “No baby, not yet. Go back to sleep. It’s okay.” You kissed his forehead before he tucked his head into your shoulder.
“I promise you Jonathan. I’ll be there for him. Forever and always.”
Johnathan smiled behind the wheel not moving his eyes from the road. He clearly was acceptant or your statement and you allowed yourself to rest.
Because you were sitting next to the window, you shifted your position so that your back was against the door and Will was against your chest, the sound of his steady breathing and the car tires against the road lulled you into a deep and calm sleep.
God knows what would happen tomorrow or the next day, but you knew you would do anything for your boyfriend and his brother.
I don’t like the ending that much but I did my best <3

I’ve actually got categories and stuff for this one. So many scenarios popped in my head I just have to include them.
WHILE IN PUBLIC (IN A PUBLIC AREA):
When in public Will would probably notice signs of an oncoming panic attack pretty quick.
When a panic attack starts he would immediately get you somewhere as fast as possible. Those places being either:
Isolated
Somewhere you can sit down
Out of the building your in
He would stay with you the entire time
If his friends are around he immediately orders them to find you water and or a snack
He’s not big on PDA but he would still put his hands on yours and rub his thumbs over them

As you walked through the mall with your friends your brain started feeling fuzzy. The background noise became oddly quiet while peoples words was too loud.
“Love, are you alright?” Will said to you quietly, his eyes filled with concern.
You didn’t turn your head to him immediately and when you did your eyes were wide and watery. Your shoulders moved up and down quickly and your hands were shaking.
Will recognized what was happening and immediately escorted you to the nearest bench to sit down. When one of your friends came over to check on you, Will sent them off to find you food and drink.
He, after getting your consent, grabbed your hands and used his thumbs to smooth over your knuckles in a repetitive pattern. He guided you through simple breathing exercises. In for four, hold for seven, out for eight. Over and over and over again until you calmed down.
He smiled softly at you when you finally came back to him. “Hey baby are you alright? Do you want to leave? We can, I don’t mind I promise.”

When he does notice he doesn’t make a scene, trying not to overwhelm you
Most of Will and your friends (as well as your friends parents) are used to Will’s panic attacks so they all spring into action when they see you.

“Hey baby are you alright?” Will asks but he sounds distant. You feel tears slide down your cheeks but you aren’t even aware of them enough to wipe them away or blink.
When the others hear Wills words and look towards you they recognize what’s happening.
Mike goes off to find one of his parents as Will sits to your side trying to calm you down, using the all to familiar breathing exercises. His arm goes around your back to rub your shoulder and his other hand if holding yours.
He whispered soft encouragements into your ears along the lines of “hey calm down I’m right here” and “it’s okay. You’re going to be okay.”
When you finally do calm down Dustin hands you the bag of chips he was snacking on and you accept with a grateful smile. When Mike returns with his mom Will calmly explains to her what happened and she offers you a ride home.

If it was really bad he would take you home immediately, even volunteering to go get your bike the next day so that you don’t have to ride by yourself
AT THE BYERS HOUSEHOLD (FT. JOYCE AND JOHNATHAN):
If your in the Byers household Joyce would notice first (the woman cares for you so much change my mind)
Will would notice after his mom stared at you for an uncomfortable amount of time
Joyce being the mom she was would grab your hand while Will leaves to find you water.
When Will gets back Johnathan would also be in tow. Probably carrying some type of music track, hoping it’ll calm you down. He tries.

“Hey honey are you ready to come back to us?” You hear Joyce Byers say softly as your mind clears up. “There he is.” She would say before stepping to the side so Will could kneel in front of you.
In the background you could hear music playing curtesy of Jonathan.
After you’d had a little while to recover, Will offers you his hand gently and asks you “do you want to dance with me?”
You giggle and give him your hand as he pulls you up. His favorite song “Should I Stay or Should I Go” just so happens to play. Also, you assume, curtesy of Johnathan.
The two of you dance together for a long time. A welcome distraction from the thoughts that overwhelmed you previously.
Eventually Joyce decides you can stay the night and you and Will head to bed together where he cuddles you until you fall asleep.

When you’re alone his methods of calming you down gets more physical
He’d probably be sitting where your back is to his chest and you’d be in his lap, his attempt to keep you grounded
He’d place small kisses on whatever exposed skin he could access

Will held you tightly as you followed his breathing patterns, though unlike you when he held for those seven seconds he placed soft kisses to your skin.
When you came out of it you turned around in his lap, now straddling him. You rested your forehead against his shoulder. Will moved his hand up to your hair and played with it as he hummed softly to you.
You feel your eyes go heavy and before you know it you’re sleeping in your boyfriends arms.
Doing his best not to wake you up. Will lays the two of you down. He doesn’t move to retrieve blankets, not wanting to risk disturbing your peaceful state. Will gives you soft kisses scattered on your face until he himself falls asleep. A soft smile on his face.

johnathan and nancy should NOT be together oh my god. but also i don’t like stancy…
in s5 everyone needs to break up w their partners and do some serious self evaluation, bc like??? esp nancy and johnathan, because their relationship needs work. nancy hasn’t witnessed her parents having a healthy, two-sided, loving relationship like ever, whereas johnathan definitely hasn’t. (also it was implied in s1 when j went to his dads to find will that he has physically fought with his dad before—there’s definitely some abuse that went down towards j and will. see:j checking his dads trunk for will because he wouldn’t put it past him to put will in there)
but anyways yeah neither of them have seen examples of how to maintain a good relationship. and not to mention how terrible they are at communication because of this… like the fact that nancy thought that j was coming to hawkins for break and j thought the opposite is so telling. how do you *not* get that worked out with your partner?? and the second that j leaves nancy starts flirting with steve again. honestly it’s so weird how nobody really talks abt how nancy literally cheated on steve with j, and is now close to cheating on j with steve? and maybe it’s the writers not letting her exist as a character without having some relationship with a man, so that has to be taken into account too i guess.
TL;DR: nancy please god do some therapy or something
