Jake has a “suck it up and be nice” sorta mentality.. he’s had this long before becoming captain and when he does become captain it get worse.

He rarely gets pissy with people because of this but one time he was so overwhelmed with stressed he yelled at hook (calling him crocodile food) and immediately felt bad afterwards.

Hook being an ass basically makes Jake feel like the worst piece of shit possible by constantly reminding him about.

But what if Izzy was the horny asshole instead of Jake, it would give way to showing how boys can get sexually assaulted and abused.
