I do understand Athena may not be in everyone's description of ‘awesome sauce’, but they are right, she deserves respect. Athena was commonly worshiped with Aphrodite and many other gods/goddesses, along with Ares, Athena has helped me in many ways and helped my family, I simply cannot stand people shaping her from myths that were made so long ago. She is a goddess, not human, she is not evil nor great, but I believe she deserves respect, and kindness.

Sorry for my non-regular post. Please correct me if needed about the info.

Due to something I had shared recently, I do want to state that Athena is often a very kind, compassionate goddess. I don't want to give the idea that you can't rely on Athena or that her standards are much higher than anyone could feasibly achieve. I am no hero. I am no great soldier of old. Yet Athena stands by me anyway. She assured me that I don't need to be a "hero" to have value. You don't need to be some "great legend" to catch her eye or win her favor. She is not scrutinous. She is not filled with disdain upon the sight of a person who doesn't fit the within "the norm". She is a great goddess, and her good traits don't overshadow any other deity's.

I dislike the idea of comparing gods or pinning them against each other, so I just wanted to make these things clear.

Apollo feels like being smeared in charcoal and paint, taking a deep breath and smelling the oil paint and solvent lingering in the air.

Hestia feels like the end of a college party, when everyone is lying together, slowly sobering up and talking about their hometowns.

Aphrodite feels like taking off your makeup after a long day and staring in the bathroom mirror, truly seeing yourself for the first time in a while.

Hermes feels like people watching on the bus, overhearing all the stories of people you will never meet.

Eros feels like loving something so fiercely, with so much passion, that you don't think you can live without it.

Hypnos feels like waking up from a dream that changed your view of the world, for the better.

Artemis feels like the girls you meet at parties who make sure you have a safe ride home.

Hephestus feels like spending hours meticulously building, with a clear vision in mind, but no proper measurements.

Hades feels like the hot embers burning bright on a fire that is slowly dwindling.

Dionysus feels like teaching young actors the ritualistic traditions of a theatre.

Ares feels like protesters fighting for change with unwavering strength.

Poseidon feels like learning about challengers deep for the first time and feeling yourself get entranced by the duality of the ocean.

Non-traditional things I associate with Apollo

.Guitars (awesome stringed instrument I believe He adores)

.Canaries (they're small, yellow, and sing!)

.Modern vaccines (a natural counterpoint to his plague association)

.YouTube (He would /so/ have a YouTube channel)

.Hospitals, modern Western medicine (obvious reasons)

.Courtrooms (This feels more like Zeus and Athena's domain, but Apollo gives me a similar sense of order and justice; He appreciates a well-run courtroom)

.Air purifiers for indoor spaces; respirator masks (effective defenses against airborne diseases such as Covid)

.Angelic aesthetic (who says a pagan deity can't appropriate some Biblical themes, hey?)

.Janitors, other public and private cleaners (they are critical for maintaining a healthy environment)

.Teachers (Apollo is a guide for the youth, just as teachers strive to be)

.Certain cat species: housecats, cheetahs, and lions

.Transmasculinity

.Sunflowers

.The Solarpunk movement/aesthetic (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-07/solarpunk-design-architecture-sustainable-future/103667452 ; https://www.climate-kic.org/solarpunk-speculative-fiction-climate-optimists/)

.Art Nouveau aesthetic

Fellow Apollo devotees, feel free to include your own associations with Apollo!

Thank you Hermes, Finder of lost things, Son of Zeus and Maia, Best friend of Humanity, for helping me always.

Hear me from Olympus, wonderful god, thank you for always keeping me safe on the road, helping me with my driving clases and keeping my dog safe.

Praise Hermes always!
