I do understand Athena may not be in everyone's description of ‘awesome sauce’, but they are right, she deserves respect. Athena was commonly worshiped with Aphrodite and many other gods/goddesses, along with Ares, Athena has helped me in many ways and helped my family, I simply cannot stand people shaping her from myths that were made so long ago. She is a goddess, not human, she is not evil nor great, but I believe she deserves respect, and kindness.

Sorry for my non-regular post. Please correct me if needed about the info.

Due to something I had shared recently, I do want to state that Athena is often a very kind, compassionate goddess. I don't want to give the idea that you can't rely on Athena or that her standards are much higher than anyone could feasibly achieve. I am no hero. I am no great soldier of old. Yet Athena stands by me anyway. She assured me that I don't need to be a "hero" to have value. You don't need to be some "great legend" to catch her eye or win her favor. She is not scrutinous. She is not filled with disdain upon the sight of a person who doesn't fit the within "the norm". She is a great goddess, and her good traits don't overshadow any other deity's.

I dislike the idea of comparing gods or pinning them against each other, so I just wanted to make these things clear.

I wanted to do a digital offering for Lady Athena as well. She’s been with me for almost two years now and I appreciate her so so so much.

I actually make a lot of memes about my deities and experiences as a witch, I’m thinking about posting more of them.

My Official “Who the fuck am I?” Post?

Hi! Welcome to my blog! My name is Cardan, but you can call me that, Danny, or Stars (my online name)! My pronouns are he/him and I’m 18+ trans man witch who has been practicing for about 4 ish years! My deities are Lady Athena (worked with for about 2 years), Lord Hermes (we started last month), and Lady Artemis (it’s complicated, but we officially started like last week?)

I am a witch who is against non consensual love spells, (self love and romantic attraction are fine in my book) and believe in baneful magic. I do not know everything. I am learning everyday and I love it! I’m always one who loves to ask and answer questions!

This is actually based on a reading I got.

I would like to give a formal apology to any who came into contact with a user who was leaving negative comments on my recent meme. While I love those who ask questions, I do not encourage or support hatred. I may or may not have over reacted as well, seeing as they were calling Lady Athena “evil” without real proof. I was also very tired.

When I first started working with deities, I felt drawn to them. And I think that’s how most people choose their deities. But my favorite things is how they change us.

Before Lady Athena, I was quiet in class, sat in corners, and wouldn’t speak up for myself. Now, I raise my hand to answer questions, not afraid to be wrong, I prefer the front of classrooms, and boy do people wish I would keep my thoughts to myself. But it’s not just that. I grew drawn to pottery and sculpting. I enjoy strategy and I’m good at it. Specifically battle. (Thanks Fire Emblem Three Houses) I absolutely adore owls now and it brings me great joy to see them. Heck- I want to learn to use a spear.

Prior to Lord Hermes, I was mortified to drive, not much of a gambler, and hated running. Now, I want a sports car, drive whenever I can, love my scratch off tickets, and training myself to be able to run. However, I feel more love for my penpals and each letter I get makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I look forward to road trips and want nothing else than to fly. And above all- I want to learn all the languages I possibly can.

And Lady Artemis, she’s been around far longer than I thought she had been. But, there was always the childish fear of large animals and bugs that kept me inside often, I was not confident, and my interest in the wildness was close to nothing. Now I’m older. I appreciate all walks of life, animal and human. (Expect spiders and wasp- fuck them.) I feel safe in the woods and walk barefoot through clearings in them. I talk to the moon. I know who I am. And my gosh, the amount of money I spend on arrows.

And I feel them. When I’m trying not to cry as I mold clay, I feel a comforting hand on my shoulder and I know Athena is proud. As I laugh with the window down, music blaring, I know Hermes is in the passenger seat laughing with me. As I let my arrow fly, Artemis is doing the same right next to me. And I love them. And I think they love me back.

Everyone’s practice is different and that is so beautiful to me. We all love our gods one way or another and that’s what brings us together. And that’s enough for me. Knowing I’m not alone, even though most of us are solitary.

I haven’t posted any memes in a while, so have these. THEY ARE ALL OUT OF FUN! I have a very loose relationship with my deities and making memes is… kinda a way of devotion? Anyway- they find them funny as well. So enjoy these before I go back to school lol.

So, I never did an altar post or anything like that. Mainly because my altars are MESSY, however. I wanted to show yall that you can practice any where. I moved for college and was worried that I wouldn’t have any spaces for my deities. But I do! Sure- it’s small, but at the end of the day it is your practice, not anyone else’s. Do what makes you happy, what makes you comfortable. Picture below of what I did. I have an antler for Lady Artemis, Fernando (the owl sculpture) for Lady Athena, and a dice for Lord Hermes. Everything else is pretty much crystals because I love a good rock.

I ask for Apollo for a similar reason to you - he's the first god I started worshipping so it feels sort of empty if I leave him out of tarot readings. I also ask for Hermes because he's concerned with communication so I find Tarot readings are a lot easier when I ask for his help. If the question has a specific theme I might ask for other deities too - e.g. study-related I'll ask Athene or lgbtq related I'll ask Dionysus. I've been meaning to start asking for father Zeus' help but he's very intimdating so I don't do that just yet - maybe later lol.

Who are some of the deities you guys ask for help from when doing tarot?

I mainly ask for Lord Apollon as he’s the first god I ever worshipped so I started doing tarot with his guidance, and Lady Asteria seeing as I’m attempting to become a devotee of hers and she has a strong connection to divination
