Kitten Cuddles

"But really Helena," Myka says with a deceptively calm voice (because she is not going to yell at Helena, not when she's back), "you need to teach your cat that naked time is not cuddle time."

"Obviously darling," H.G. drawls back with a smirk from where she is snuggled in Myka's arms, "you have never tried to teach a cat anything."

Myka huffs and nudges the fur purring against her naked thigh.  A rough tongue licks at her sweaty skin in retaliation.  "Helena," the american agent whines, "he's licking me again."

Helena chuckles and picks Dickens up.  "No dear," she coos to him, "that's my job."

Myka's cheeks blush red.  "Helena!"

"Myka!" H.G. returns, a grin on her face.  The british agent gets up, cat still cradled in her arms, and walks naked to the door.

"Why couldn't you have a normal cat?"  Myka asks her lover semi-retorically.

H.G. tisks.  "Why would I want a normal cat?"  Pulling out a bag of cat treats for it's spot in the safe the inventor shakes it enticingly.  Dickens perks his ears in interest and watches intently as H.G. takes out a treat and throws it out the half open window.

"You're right."  Myka sighs, ignoring H.G.'s triumphant smirk.  "You and normal don't get along so well."

H.G. flashs a brillant smile at her lover, letting her cat slip out of her grasp and onto the floor.  "I truly don't.  Normal's for other people.  Me, I get endless wonder."

Myka smiles back and beckons for her lover to return to her.  The cat treats trick won't by them forever.  H.G. returns to her Myka (as she always will, her heart says).

Dickens, unwatched, stalks towards the wall the window sits in.  With a cautious glance back at his people he turns and jumps through the solid wood.

I watched Maleficent last night

Now I must resign myself to yet another OTP.  Oddly, while the thought of a young woman with an older, presumably ageless, fairy woman does not in the least gross me out the thought of the same young woman with a raven or a young man she met for all of five minutes does.  The things I learn about myself.

Really I just keep thinking about three things.

Firstly, Maleficent only refers to her parents as her parents, not her mother and father.  Does this mean fairies are capable of producing offspring regardless of gender?  Does this mean their gender is fluid?

Secondly, I love the Lana Del Rey version of Once Upon a Dream.  I find it humorous that after every time Aurora visited the Moors Maleficent floated her back to her bed.  Suggesting to me that Aurora would wake up each time half wondering if her visit to the Moor with Maleficent was a dream.

Thirdly, did I just plain miss the title sequence at the beginning of movie?  Cause I really can't remember seeing "Maleficent" in big letters across the scene until the end of the movie.

I tried really hard for a really long time to be a velociraptor (mainly through pretending).  Failing that I tried really hard for a really long time to be a dragon (also mainly through pretend).  Why?  Because I watched movies like Jurassic Park and found velociraptors to be awesome.  I watched movies like Dragon Heart and thought that although the prince was a dick the dragon was an amazing person.  You know what I didn't watch?  Gay marriage scenes.  As a wee child I didn't realize the princess could marry another princess.  So you know what? I pretended to be a prince.  Cause dammit I was awesome and I wanted to marry a princess.

Because It Will Destroy The Traditional Meaning of Marriage: I think you will find that actual 'traditional marriage' was a woman's father signing over ownership of her to the husband that he has picked out. Thank god we have moved on from such outdated 'traditions', right? The Bible Says It's Wrong: The bible doesn't actually say anything about gay marriage. It does however say that you shall not wear clothing of mixed fabrics (Deuteronomy 22:11), guess we're all going straight to hell! Because Being Gay Is Unnatural: Homosexuality is found in over 450 species. Homophobia is only found in one- i think it is clear which is more unnatural. Because Gay Men Are Sexual Predators: Male rape is most commonly committed by heterosexual men (McMullen 1990). Better keep your back against that wall for the rest of your life! Because Gay Sex Is Disgusting: If you have ever jerked off to a little bit of girl on girl action or if you have ever had heteronormative anal sex then your argument is immediately invalid. Because Gay People Are Icky: Well.. At least you're honest but i personally find homophobics icky and you're still allowed to get married. Because Innocent Children Might Re-enact Gay Marriage Scenes At School And It Will Turn Our Kids Gay: You're really more comfortable with children acting out gun fights than acting out a display of love? Pretending to be gun-touting criminals doesn't turn children into gun-touting criminals. Pretending to be a pony doesn't turn children into ponies. Heck, how many LGBT people re-enacted heteronormative marriages when they were kids? You should really look up the definition of 'pretend'. Because I'm a Dick: Glad you admit it. .... : Exactly.
