I’ve observed recently that in Astrology, there are two main types of “fame.”

Type #1: “Solar” fame, related to the Sun

Type #2: “Rahuvian” fame, related to Rahu (aka north node)

By now, you probably know that the Sun traditionally rules fame. The Sun also rules the sign of Leo, which is the main Zodiac sign related to fame. But Rahu can indicate massive fame as well.

So after observing many charts I’ve come to the theory that the kind of “fame” the Sun gives a native is: status, recognition, prestige and nobility.

Whereas the kind of “fame” Rahu gives, is the more modern version where someone goes “viral” or becomes some sort of internet sensation. I believe Rahu’s influence plays a major part in today’s modern day definition of “fame” which deals more with being an “online celebrity.”

In Vedic Astrology, Rahu takes on more of an animated role, whereas in Western Astrology he’s not recognized the same way. But generally speaking, Rahu rules: fame, notoriety, electricity, the internet, rebels, outcasts, politics, viruses etc. Rahu’s description is kind of similar to Uranus.

Both parties are famous and known globally, however, we can see with the royal family they are famous for their titles, prestige and status etc. They have pedigree.

TikTok stars are also famous but due to the massive attention they’ve gained online. Note how Rahu fame can be somewhat temporary where Solar fame is more substantial.

For people with Sun-Rahu conjunction in their Natal Chart it can give massive fame. Ironically enough, Charlie D’amelio has this placement and is the most followed person on TikTok.
