After a turbulent 2018, and an agonizingly slow 2019, 2020 may be the year where I learnt to let go.

Let go of the idea that my life had to look a certain way to be happy. Let go of the fear that trapped me in choices that didn’t belong to me. Let go of the restlessness that has been with me since I can remember.

For the first time in eleven years, I feel at home. Where I should be. Where I want to be.

In the weirdest of years, I found my voice. It’s shy and broken, but I want to nurture it back to strength.

I only ask myself one thing from 2021: take up space. Fill the room. Be honest. And vulnerable, and shameless.
