[8:50 p.m.] it’s kinda late but here you are, at the grocery store, because work sucks and you’ve just now had time to quickly grab a few essential items before you go home. you’re tired, and all you wanna do is grab your our things as soon as possible so you could go home and make some ramen and perhaps watch an episode or two of your favorite show. you reach the dairy section, and to your dismay, you find that the milk that you usually pick up is way in the back of the fridge. now you have to find a way to reach for the milk so you do the best thing you can: you open the fridge, lean one foot on the bottom edge and attempt to reach and hop simultaneously to try and grab the milk but your fingers were just shy of reaching it. that’s when you heard, right behind you, “can I help you, ma’am?” without thinking twice, you elbowed the guy right in the ribs and heard a loud “shit!”

your eyes widened once you realized what you did and you turned around to find a guy wearing an employee vest, now leaning forward and clutching his side in pain. eyes scrunched shut and teeth clenched, he winced and you quickly shut the door, “oh my god, I’m so sorry!” he rubbed his upper torso in pain and nodded his head. you got a better look at him, and as if you already weren’t feeling bad because you completely just assaulted an employee, he was a cute employee, too. “I don’t know why I just did that, but I didn’t mean to hurt you.” he opened his eyes and started to relax, “it’s okay. I shouldn’t have startled you like that. it’s my fault. I was going to ask if you needed help with that,” he motioned back to the milk, and you sheepishly nodded, face heating up. you moved out of the way so that he could get past you. his tall frame barely brushed by your shoulder and your heart beat sped up a little. “here you go,” the man passed you the milk and you received it, “thanks so much, uh,” you tilted to read his name tag, “sungchan. I really appreciate it. sorry again about elbowing you.”

sungchan smiled a little, rubbing the back of his neck, “it’s no problem, ma’am. have a good night,” and he turned to walk away, when you cleared your throat. “uh, sungchan? I don’t really do this, but,” you tucked a piece of hair behind your ear when he stopped in his tracks and turned his head back. “I really feel bad about elbowing you. I’ve never really done that before to a stranger, especially in a public area. you could’ve gotten into trouble because of me, and I’m really sorry, again. I hope you don’t think this is weird, but I haven’t had dinner yet, would you let me buy you a meal?” sungchan’s eyes widened and he raised his hands, “I’m okay, really!” you smiled at him, a strange sensation growing in your stomach. “please, I insist.” sungchan bit his bottom lip in thought, before checking his watch. “tell you what, I get off in ten minutes. you can check out, and I’ll meet you outside.” your smile widened, and you nodded shyly, “okay.” sungchan started, “sounds good, uh” and you finished the sentence, “y/n. my name’s y/n.” “y/n. I’ll see you in a bit, and I’ll be careful not to startle you,” your heart beat accelerated and you bit your lip. a throaty chuckle left sungchan before he turned back to go to another aisle. and as you made your way to the checkout line, the warmth on your face did not disappear, the charming boy already leaving his mark on your heart.

[6:50 a.m.] kim fucking taehyung stood in a black turtleneck tucked into black slack-like pants and a faux fur coat draped across the span of his broad shoulders. his stylist adjusted his bangs over his face as the magazine editor spotted you. “ah there you are, y/n, right on time. we’ll have someone help you set up, and we should be running in five minutes!” nodding, you started setting up your equipment and pulled out your camera. by the time you shot the photos, the time had gone from 6:50 to almost 9:30. you had help from the editor and the magazine’s staff. you did your best to shoot these pictures, if you were honest with yourself but how could you when taehyung looked so good? you tried not to stare at him too long, although his mere presence a couple feet away from you shook you to the core. once th shoot was over and you started to pack up, you felt your phone buzz. a text from an unknown number said: you wanna grab some breakfast? there’s this really nice place that makes a really good waffle nearby. when you texted back a tentative who’s this, your heart was beating out of your chest because almost immediately the unknown number replied taehyung. i got your number from the staff lol don’t freak out. well, you know what they say; when your all-time celebrity crush turned (kinda) colleague offers to grab breakfast with you, you don’t refuse.

as much as it pains me to say this, I have decided that I will not be writing coterie any further. I’ve hit immense writer’s block with the story, and I’m not motivated in the slightest bit to write anymore of it. I have other ideas that I would rather write, so I’m sorry to anyone who’d been waiting to read more. I thank you all for your support and love as always, and I hope to write new content for you guys.
