Literally! Bro i still cuddle with my friends and some family members when im sad or overwhelmed!! It’s not sexual it’s loving, AND THERES SO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF LOVE

When I cuddle my best friend (who happens to be a guy) it’s platonic love, or Phillia

When I calm my kid sister down by holding when she cries, or my mother does the same for me, it’s familial love, or Storge

If you have a QPR and you cuddle, it’s whatever label fits it best for you! I’ve heard my fellow ace-spec and our aro friends call it platonic, romantic, sensual (different from sexual)

The eight main kinds of love (explained to the best of my ability. I am not an expert. If I’m wrong please correct me):

Ludus- Playful love (I actually don’t know how to explain this one as i hadn’t heard of it till I googled for writing this reblog)

Philia- deep friendship; got a best friend? This is the word for that love

Agape- Love for everyone; for people who still optimistically love their fellow humans. (Personally I prefer animals at this point but humanity is okay too/hj)

Pragma- Longlasting love; when you feel like the person you’re with is someone you can spend your life with

Philautia- self love; everyone needs it!

Storge- familial love; The love for that family member(s) you’re close with (if you do not have that, this can be applicable to found family too!! Well even if you do have biological or adoptive family, you can still feel this for found family!)

Eros- sexual love; I’m not going to explain as this is the love most talked about it seems

Mania- obsessive love; this is dangerous. Therapy is a good idea for all parties involved if somebody is having manic love
