The other day I came up with a theory about firescales. You know how SandWing scales emit heat? What if it was just an exaggerated form of that? Like if a SkyWing mates with a SandWing, there's a chance of a genetic mutation that results in firescales? Maybe at some point thousands of years ago, the first time a sand-sky hybrid was born, it released that possible genetic mutation into the SkyWing tribe and now it just happens randomly. idk if this really makes sense but I thought it was kind of smart
