Is There A One-hit Wonder Group Or Artist That You Wish Had More Success?

Is there a one-hit wonder group or artist that you wish had more success?

Honestly, I don’t know if success can really be summed up by “chart numbers.” I think that the second ever video I uploaded on my review channel was about the Top 10 Surprising One-Hit Wonders, a list that included artists who are known for more than just their one Billboard hit, like Rush, Gorillaz, the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Blink-182, and Muse. (Daft Punk was also there because at the time, “Get Lucky” was their only hit; however, since then, they’ve had other hits with “Starboy” and “I Feel It Coming.”) Similarly, there are also artists like Stone Temple Pilots who don’t have any hits, but are still favorites on rock radio stations.

I’ve always liked to say that pop music lives in its own weird little world outside of the rest of the world. I’ll put it to you this way: “Gangnam Style,” regardless of what you or I may have thought about it, was doubtlessly the biggest song of 2012; however, it was kept off the #1 spot by some Maroon 5 song that I don’t even know if I’ve heard before.

To answer your question directly, though... probably Gary Numan. His biggest hit was his new wave song “Cars” in 1979, but definitely check out his other stuff, he’s awesome. Plus, as a fellow Aspie, I find it really cool that he was able to use that aspect of himself to shape his music and persona.

And he’s still making music today!

Drew Myself For An Art Challenge. Its Not Entirely Accurate, As I Now Have A Minor Beard (which I Will

Drew myself for an art challenge. It’s not entirely accurate, as I now have a minor beard (which I will probably shave in a few weeks), but I hope you all enjoy it regardless! I also added some drawings of things in the background that I associate with myself (e.g. space, music, art, and a sketch of Al from my new comic).

I will begin uploading chapter one later this month, so stay tuned for that. You can read my comic on these sites: Tapas Smack Jeeves Line Webtoon And as usual, feel free to donate to my Patreon page!

Decided To Draw Al At The Beach (or Perhaps An Outdoor Swimming Pool). No Idea Why She Would Go There--it

Decided to draw Al at the beach (or perhaps an outdoor swimming pool). No idea why she would go there--it doesn’t seem fitting with her personality to go--but perhaps Sabrina dragged her or something.

Also, for the record, new pages are coming soon! I’ve just been working on a lot of other stuff lately, including my next review.
