Shrimp Scampi on Pasta al Limone
An excellent weeknight meal is shrimp scampi. With only a few ingredients, many of which you may already have at home, it comes together quickly. Naturally, good shrimp is the key in this situation. Frozen wild-caught or sustainably farmed shrimp are probably fresher than the frozen-then-thawed shrimp available at your neighborhood grocery, unless you have access to a fisherman.

This week, I'm making my new go-to pasta dish: Tuscan herb chicken over lemony linguine. Tossed with linguine and a dusting of Parmesan after being cooked in a lemony sauce with shallot, garlic, and chili flakes. Just one bite will convince you of why it has become my new favorite.

Since February is my birthday month, I've been thinking about the foods I would treat myself to. The French macaron from Ladurée comes to mind as one example. A dream dessert I enjoy taking my time with each bite to let the nuances of each taste and ingredient come through.

When my memory has flown to space and my smiles stolen by the clouds, my hairstrands picked for birds' nests and lashes clinging to the seagulls Wings - - - will you miss, my dearest? Will you remember the song or the dewdrops in my eyes at every dawn? Will you strain for the sound of my voice or look for the sight of my smile; Will you worry when storms will come and I'd be drenched to the bone fleeting cold in space - afraid and all alone? Or will you let me go And roam the darkness of the night; knowing that tomorrow I will not be there To kiss the morning mist from your eyes.
