With the first few weeks going by, you had finally grown used to the busy surroundings. The random class timings, the large breaks between classes that stretched for, what seemed like, years.

And of course, the abstruse assignments that were determined to drag people's feet through the mud until their legs snapped.

"These fvcking assignments," Yunjin muttered as you and her both sauntered towards the cafeteria area and towards their well-known corner. It had abou 3 couches huddled around a table, good for a little study session, you figured.

"Hey, they're suppose to help us, Yun. They're not that bad," You said as she plopped onto the soft, grey couches.

For Yunjin, it wasn't a viable answer as she huffed, gripping the paper tightly, enough to create aggravated creases. "We went through this thing in class. Like- what's the need with the extra homework?"

"It's called reinforcement. Something that helps us."

"It is not helping." Yunjin huffed, shoving the paper into her bag rapidly, not caring if it ripped.

You had always known Yunjin would start complaining about classes soon enough- you were surprised it didn't start sooner.

Out of the corner of your eyes, there was a spot of black that focused on you, a glare of light crossing the vision. Addled, you turned to see a glass lens zoom in and out of your face, and immediately, you shot your hand to the intruding object, blocking its view.

"Hello? Consent much?" You said, furrowing your eyebrows to the man standing in front of you. He cheekily smiled, sharp eyes softening at the gesture.

"Why do I need consent to film my two favourite ladies in the world?"

"Jay, please don't say that- sounds like we're in a polygamous relationship," Yunjin gagged, sending a side-eye to the grinning man. Though, you contorted at your friend's astonishing comment.

"That makes it so much worse," You uttered, facing away to your phone in your lap.

Before Yunjin could even accuse you of what passed under your breath, Jay spoke up again. "I mean, doesn't this kind of memory be deserved to be filmed on this fine camera?"

And then, someone grabbed the gadget into their hands, cradling it tentatively.

"It's not even yours. I only asked you to take care of it for me while I was in line," Jungwon said as he gazed at Jay, and went to sit opposite the two girls.

Jay followed, and everyone was lazily leaning back onto the couch, the internal fatigue sinking into their bones.

Jungwon faced Yunjin, still fiddling with the black strap of his camera.

"What were you so angry about?"

Yunjin clicked her tongue, eyes firing up with the same frustration from 5 minutes ago. You could almost laugh, an amused glint in your gaze..

"This stupid assignment. We already went through it in class, what's the need for more work? What a scam, uni is a scam." she grunted as she crossed her arms over each other. Jay laughed and nodded, swiping his hand through his black hair.

"I agree 100%" Jay affirmed to which Jungwon let out a sardonic scoff.

"Yet you dropped out to take what- English literature?" he smirked. Jay blinked, offended.

"You wanted me to continue forensics? Are you mad? I wouldn't survive."

"It's good you left before midterms came up," Jungwon said. At that, Jay wrapped his arm around Jungwon's neck, putting him in a chokehold to which Jungwon smiled lightly.

You and Yunjin watched the awkward action, but it reminded you and her of how close their paths were.

Despite their different personalities, they blended well together to form their secure friendship, brotherhood- whatever people call it.

Whilst those two continued with their fighting, you gazed a little more upwards to a random poster plastered on the wall above the two bickering boys.

Your eyes glazed over the modern logo, one that had a pastel green background and "GoMin" plastered on it; the end of the pine-coloured word seemed to spiral into a swift circle around the name.

Curious, you furrowed your eyebrows at the paper, tilting your head slightly. A sense of familiarity pulled at your nerves, but the more you dug through your hazy memories, the more your thoughts became stubborn, refusing to actually recognise where you had seen it. You must have seen it somewhere- otherwise, you wouldn't be pondering on the same thought.

Pursing your lips, you stared.

Yunjin glanced at her friend and then touched your shoulder to shake you to which you flinched and gazed at Yunjin.

"You good...?" Yunjin inquired, tentative.

You nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Though, you found your eyes pulled back to the poster; Yunjin followed your gaze and spotted the advert on the wall.

"Ah- the poster! I've seen like 3 this morning," Yunjin said, turning back to you. Confused, you hummed in response, crossing your arms, thoughts clustering together.

"What's with all their promotion? GoMin? What even is that?" Your voice had caught attention of the two playful boys who had halted and looked at you. With a quick glance, they scanned the poster behind them and Jungwon faced you.

"Apparantly, its a charity thing."

Jay turned now, tilting his head. "So, like fundraising?"

"What are we possibly fundraising for?" Yunjin spoke up, eyes flickering back to the poster. Jungwon pondered, eyes clouded with thoughts, but he just shrugged.

"I don't have a clue to be honest," he responded. He pulled his bag to grab something.

You shifted in your seat, cheeks puffing up before deflating in your seat.

"I mean, our tutors would tell us, right? And who even is GoMin?" You asked, to which everyone stayed silent.

"God knows," Yunjin said, now looking at her fingers as she picked on it. You still stared and then someone called your name from behind, a light and sweet voice.

"Yn!"

You turned around to see the familiar strawberry blonde sauntering up to you, eyes gleaming as he saw you. Smiling, you waved and gestured for him to come over.

"Hey, Sunoo," You greeted and everyone else said hi as well. Sunoo waved and smiled at them before coming to sit next to you. Plopping down onto the sofa, he sighed.

"How is everyone?"

Everyone kind of groaned in response, not really giving a word to describe their utterly exciting day (sarcastic of course). You frowned slightly.

"You should've seen the homework we got today...-Oh, by the way, I picked up the assignment for you... and a few other notes..." you said, digging into your backpack to pull out a few resources.

You heard Sunoo thank you. He was always busy with something, or he was sick most of the times. Well- you assumed that was the root of why he wasn't coming in so frequently.

You gathered the papers and handed it to Sunoo, to which he smiled graciously.

"Thanks..."

"What's keeping you so busy?" You asked and everyone listened as well, glancing at Sunoo with curious expressions.

He adjusted his papers as he replied with a skittish look in his gaze. "I actually got an internship-."

"Wait- seriously!?" Yunjin interrupted, eyes widening as she perked up.

You had the same internal reaction: internships were already hard and something that you preferred to do after working your butt off in uni. You always thought there were less hurdles that way- but Sunoo taking one whilst in 1st year was definitely a brave decision to take.

"And they took you in? That's amazing!" You squealed, nudging his shoulder softly.

"I know- I was equally as surprised but I was already looking for one anyway. I emailed them and they emailed me back a few weeks ago. Hence, my absences. Sorry about that."

Jay spoke up now. "What company- for who?"

"GoMin- Oh, their poster!" Sunoo exclaimed, pointing to the poster that you discovered a few minutes back. He smiled and Yunjin turned to him again.

"So you know what GoMin does, right? What is it?" Yunjin asked. It seemed everyone was tuning in now.

"It's a kind of charity company that distributes school and educational supplies to many different school in supply for money or popularity. Kind of like that I guess. I mean, they told me they're sponsoring our school and we have to throw a fundraiser and everything." he explained, eyes staring off into the distance as if to remember every detail.

"So... like a festival?" You interjected. Sunoo shrugged and nodded.

"Yeah, like that."

"Seems a little over-the-top," Jungwon muttered, peeling back the wrapper of the muffin he was eating. His eyes were focused on the snack in front of him. Sunoo shrugs, ignoring Jungwon's comment.

"I mean, it helps with the school's popularity. I guess they should do it," You said. Jungwon glances at you.

"I mean, this school is popular anyway, they must've been offered something if they agreed to this." Jungwon ate his muffin, looking at you from his snack. His brown eyes gazed and then he looked away.

You crossed your arms.

"Money is everything I guess, you can't stop that," you interjected again. Jungwon rolled his eyes, eating his muffin. You knew he wasn't serious as you leaned back on the couch.

Yunjin cleared her throat and looked at Sunoo. "Well, congratulations, anyway!"

Sunoo nodded and thanked her, eyes creasing into a crescent. He had the moon in his eyes and they shined through every emotion he had. And then, Sunoo frowned a little, his hand coming to his head slightly, massaging his temples. You glanced as everyone went back to their own thing.

"You okay, Sun?"

Sunoo chuckled in gratitude, nodding as he picked up his bag and brought out a white bottle. Concern pricked you ever so slightly as you narrowed your eyes at the bottle.

Hastily, he opened it and brought out a white pill. Then, he noticed your worried eyes and he laughed it off, waving his hand dismissively.

"Don't worry, I'm not overdosing or anything. Just something to help me feel less anxious," he said, getting his water bottle. You nodded, but you still couldn't help but follow his actions with your eyes.

"You have anxiety? I could never tell," You said to him. Sunoo chuckled again, amused.

"That means they're working."

Scoffing, you smiled a little. "Yeah, don't overdose, Sun. I don't want to be your therapist if you accidentally... you know.." You gestured to him, joking. He nodded, gulping down the pill.

"I don't think I would be so clumsy."

Then, their conversation was cut short when Jay yelled in triumph, a thin smile on his face as he smirked at Jungwon. The grumpy cat threw his head back in frustration, annoyance igniting in his eyes as he glared at Jay.

"I win in rock, paper, scissors and 21 days-."

"One more game!" Jungwon interrupted tenaciously, narrowing his gaze at the older one. You and Yunjin laughed under your breaths as Jay shook his head, mischief in his expression.

"Nah, you agreed you would do the dare! No more chances, you already had one," Jay said, clapping his hands as he smiled. Jungwon's lips twitched before he looked at you and Yunjin. In confusion, they just waited for Jungwon to speak.

He fiddled with the sleeves of his hoodie, swiping his hair back slightly.

"Fine..." Jungwon huffed, crossing his arms as gloominess clouded his expression.

"I'm going to dinner, and I'm inviting you. Would you like to go, I'll pay," Jungwon asked, the dagger of irritation poking in every few syllables.

You looked at Yunjin and you guys both smirked. Both of you knew you could never close the gate to anyone offering free food, so you two glaced back at Jungwon. A look of dread washed over his face.

"Of course we would!" You said.

"Obviously, it must be a nice resturant."

"He can't take us to a shitty resturant out of spite-."

"That wouldn't be surprising-" Yunjin was cut off when Jungwon cleared his throat, looking at the pair with a gloomy cloud over his head, threatening to rain on his head.

"I take that as a yes?"

"Of course. It's free food!" You said, tilting your head. You then, turned to Sunoo, who was watching the conversation go down.

"You wanna tag along and drain his card?" You asked, gesturing to Jungwon. He chuckled and shook his head, and in the corner of your eyes, Jungwon deflate dhis shoulders in relief.

"No, with all this work to catch up on, I have to pass... sorry, guys," He said, pouting a little.

"Meh, it's fine, I think Jungwon would die if another person tagged along," Jay interjected, playfully nudging his shoulder hard against Jungwon. The other boy slowly turned to glare at the older one, and Jay pinched his cheek. Jungwon winced, slapping his hand away softly.

"Then, it's settled! What time? It has to be dinner, right?" Yunjin exclaimed, eyes sparkling with anticipation. Jungwon's gaze flickered around the cafeteria, uneasy.

"I don't know, we could go to one in town...?" He muttered, looking down at his sleeves slightly. Jay hummed in response.

"Easy and cheap... I want to drain your card, though..."

Jungwon glared again.

"Chill, hyung. Quality over quanitity," Jungwon said. Scoffing, Jay crossed his arms.

"Not in this case-." Jay couldnt finish his sentence before Jungwon nudged him in the ribs. Pain briefly sweeps over Jay before he starts smiling and looking at both the girls.

"Dinner time is perfect. So like, seven-ish?" Yunjin suggests, perking up at the future plans. Jay nodded and looked to jungwon for approval. The younger boy shrugged and nodded.

"Fine with me- wait, am I driving as well?" Jungwon asked, narrowing his eyes at everyone. Jay kind of was silent before he smiled sheepishly.

"I mean... yeah..."

"Bruh, you said I would pay for dinner, not be your slave!" Jungwon retorted, crossing his arms, a gleam of apprehension shining in his expression for a second.

Jay put an across his shoulders, sighing dramatically.

"It's the sacrifice. You're doing good deeds," Jay explained. You kind of giggled at that.

"I didn't realise all of you guys were charity," he said, looking at all of them, seeing their faces sparkle with amusement. You chuckled.

"Don't throw a tantrum, Won, you lost the game-."

"Okay fine- you guys are greedy as hell." Jungwon smirked as he scoffed. Everyone shrugged and smiled.

"I mean, living as a uni student is hard," You said, pouting slightly. Jungwon saw the expression and he smirked smugly.

"Don't you work?" Jungwon crossed his arms, throwing back a remark. You gave a look of disbelief.

"Which I pay bills with, Jungwon. Me and Yunjin both pay for the rent," You explained, looking at your withered, green nails. Yunjin kind of agreed (even though Yunjin was rich as heck).

"That's not my question- you still work so, I don't know why you think you can drain my money," he said, looking at his sleeves, tugging them downwards. Shrugging, you just smiled with a gleam of mischief.

"Just because, you know. Pissing you off is kind of funny," You replied and Jay nodded in agreement, determined to ignite Jungowns silent fire more.

"I agree- like, look you're already growing red from anger. Your ears are red!" Jay exclaimed. Everyone snickered a little and Jungwon thrusted the hoodie over his head, making sure to curtain his ears with a little frown on his lips.

And then, he muttered something like, "My ears are not red."

Yunjin scoffed and then directed her attention to her phone. Then, a sigh.

"You have psychology, don't you, Yn? Pfft, good luck," she said, glancing at you.

You, in fact, had psychology and it almost felt like a wave of depressions washed over your head and was drowning you before entering the classroom- you hadn't even left the cafeteria. A twinge of annoyance crossed your face.

"Unfortunately..."

And Jay turned to Jungwon. "You have film- how fun."

Jungwon nodded and carefully picked up his camera, that was resting in his bag, smoothing his finger over the delicate surface.

"It's better than psych." Jungwon stood and so did you, hearing his little comment. But then again, you couldn't dig for a remark because, deep down, you knew that film could possibly be better than psych... in maybe every aspect.

Everyone stood, including Sunoo as the lecture time was approaching. Once you didn't reply, Jungwon smirked and looked at you, walking to the main hallway.

"Have fun at you psych lesson," Jungwon said, walking ahead of you and Yunjin.

With a petty smile, you walked closer to him.

"Thank you so much. Oh- and by the way, thank you again for agreeing to treat us to dinner," you said, hand tugging on his blue hoodie and ruffling his hair. It made Jungwon recoil as he scowled at you, not liking his hair unkempt.

You chuckled, making a smug face. Approaching the door, you was about to go through after Jungwon, until your body unexpectedly slammed into the door; you retreated with embarrassment flooding your face and a sting of pain springing in your left arm.

Shooting your gaze to Jungwon through the glass doors, there was the smallest smug grin. Yunjin laughed behind you.

You was about to burst the door open and lunge after, except an older man had opened it for you, his hairs greying and a frail stubble on his chin. He had a straight face and his attire was a blue jumpsuit. His brown eyes shone at her gently as he slowly smiled.

Your anger freeze as you smiled and bowed to him, seeing the 'Janitor' tag. "Thank you..."

The man smiled tenderly and you was off again, racing to psych class as Jungwon had already run with the wind and dissapeared.

Even after class, you were still a bit energetic since the idea of free food made your fatigue fade. You were picking out outfits and Yunjin was brushing her strawberry blonde locks, scanning her reflection with scrutiny. She pouted a little and you laughed slightly.

"You're duck, you know?" You said, picking out a sweater. Yunjin snickered, stretching the brush through her straight hair.

"I prefer dumpling- they're just juicy like that."

"Yeah, no one's calling you that," You said, getting changed.

When a car beeped in front of the apartment, you ushered Yunjin out, entering the cold and sharp wind. March was a pretty icy month in Korea and you snuggled into the padded jacket, the serene evening sky returning to the world. Yunjin got into the back with Jay, and you had no choice but to sit at the passenger seat.

The car interior was warm and you shivered, skin stinging at the sudden heat.

"Thank you so much, Jungwon for driving us."

Jungwon sighed, his fingers finding its way to pinch a strand of your loose hair and tugging. You winced, glaring at him.

"Hello??" You exclaimed, hearing Jay and Yunjin snicker. Jungwon just smirked a little.

"I'm the driver, don't complain," He said, setting the car off and the vehicle started moving. You just rubbed your scalp slightly, cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

Everyone watched the road, sitting in silence for a few minutes. And then Jay sighed, his eyes glued to the road, not taking it off for a second or a blink.

"I may have been in your car so many times, but please don't crash," Jay said, exasperated. You chuckled leaning your elbow on the car window as Jungwon flickered his eyes in the rear view mirror and sending a glare to Jay.

"If I crash, I would've done it by now." Jungwon turned the steering wheel, the car swerving softly.

"Give him some slack, Jay, he is completing a dare right now," Yunjin sighed, the fake concern reaching her voice as the three of them laughed.

"Guys, I'm not joking, I can kick all of you out and leave you on the road," Jungwon muttered, pulling up his hoodie sleeves halfway up the forearm. You took a glance and then quickly looked back at the road, seeing the bustling town life come into view.

The conversation continued with snarky jokes and talks about classes. And of course, they all made fun of you and your psychology class, taunting your desolate situation. Rolling your eyes, you smiled in amusement.

"You know you want to agree with us, Yn," Jay said, leaning towards you from the back seat, trying his hardest to break your unbothered shell. You waved him off, keeping your stoic mask on.

"I mean, it's much better than English Literature..." you said, turning to glance at Jay with a sharp look. He put his hands up in defense and then he suddenly clapped his hands, announcing something.

"Okay- English time, guys- let's go!" Jay said, and everyone kind of groaned in response.

"Yunjin, you're American, why are you mad about speaking English?" Jay inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Still takes a lot of mental effort, you know," she muttered, grumbling a little.

You scoffed, trying to turn to your friend. "What mental effort-."

Before you could even finish the sentence, Yunjin reached over the seat and also pulled your hair making your scalp sting. You winced and slapped Yunjin's hand.

"Do you guys have some kind of obsession with pulling my hair...?" You murmured, rubbing your head. Yunjin was also rubbing the sore spot on her hand, pouting.

"And you slap people a lot."

"No- what? I don't--."

"Okay, we're here," Jungwon said, swerving smoothly into a parking space, and making the two girls shut up. He finally turned off the engine and everyone clicked off the seat belts, stepping into the sharp, cold wind.

You shivered, lips already chapped and dried out.

"Shit, it's cold," You cursed, hugging your coat tighter. Yunjin agreed before they all walked down the lively street, weaving through the crowd. The lights were still blaring, alive and intruding into people's sights.

The street had a comfortable wave of conversations, the volume adding to the night-life ambience. All 4 of them walked by each other, trying to find a diner to eat and drink.

Despite the cold weather, everyone felt somewhat warm from the hearty atmosphere. And they soon arrived to the diner- one that Jay pointed to and was convinced had the best soju ever.

Jungwon grumbled because he knew he couldn't have it since he just had to drive everyone there.

Once entering, the warm air flooded over them, a server diligently coming to them and leading them to a clean table. The walls were dark, a rich purple and red with warm lights hanging low over the booths.

They all seated themselves in the booth and you snatched the tablet to get the menu up, eyes fixtated on all the possible options to drain Jungwon's card.

"This place is actually nice, Jay," You said, shrugging as your eyes scanned over the choices on the screen. Yunjin huddled next to you, looking as well.

And Jay chuckled.

"Never underestimate my recommendations. I'm at least that good."

Jungwon just smiled lightly, scoffing.

"You took forensics- I don't think we should ever trust your first decisions..." Jungwon trailed off, crossing his arms, amusement on his face.

Jay just nudged his head softly and Jungwon grumbled again.

You and Yunjin tapped on their orders, muttering amongst yourselvesa.

"Okay, but I'm craving tteokbeokki," You said, pointing to the option. With a growling stomach you were about to tap on it, but Yunjin moved it, scrolling.

"But dumplings though..."

"Yun, come on- get tteokbeokki."

"I don't know- it's just so... basic."

You sent daggers to Yunjin. "And dumplings isn't?"

Yunjin had a playfully offended expression.

"Of course not-."

"Let's just get both..." You stopped her, looking at Yunjin in the eye and the same gleam crossed over each other. And then, you both nodded and tapped on both.

"Jungwon is paying so I don't really care," Yunjin whispered discreetly.

"Okay, but I need rice- or a main meal-."

"Damn, are you guys done yet?" Jungwon said from opposite. You looked up briefly with a sheepish eye and then looked down again.

"I don't want to order random shit," You remarked, scrolling.

"It would still taste good, though?"

"Just be patient, Jungwon," You snapped a little and Jungwon rolled his eyes, leaning back onto the back of the seat and crossing his arms.

Gradually, you and Yunjin ordered and gave the tablet to them and Jay took it as he now ventured the page with Jungwon.

The mumbled conversation in the back and the low lights gave you a sense of relaxation. You enjoyed this part of uni life- of being away from your dad, from his protective blanket. Perhaps, the study part could wait in the back of your head for a little. Looking at the computer for 2 hours straight definitely caused your back to bolt into such stiffeness...

Once everyone ordered, they put the tablet down and the soju came on the table, the green bottles clinking among the murmuring. The petite glasses were also situated near the green bottles. Before you and Yunjin could open one, Jay held them back, a dramatic gaze in his eyes.

"We can't do it just yet," Jay said, voice sharp as he stared at the bottles. You sighed and Yunjin gave a bored look.

Jungwon shook his head, knowing where Jay was going with this.

"Are you going to actually try?" Jungwon asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Of course I will, why wouldn't I?" Jay said before swiping a bottle and gripping it, his eyes set on the green glass.

Everyone seemed to sigh as Jay flipped the bottle upside down, making the liquid spin inside as he did a rush of actions before turning it the tight way up, and presented it to everyone.

Jay hoped it would work as he stared inside the bottle and saw a weak swirl inside.

Everyone stared in silence before Jungwon couldn't help but chuckle lowly.

"All of that for nothing?" Jungwon laughed, holding his stomach. Jay blinked, flustered as he clutched the bottle.

"It's not like it didn't work..." Jay muttered, embarrassment shining in his face.

"It was the bare minimum, Jay." Yunjin laughed after, amused. You chuckled as well and Jay had his ears flooding red and he scoffed.

"As if you guys could do better?" Jay spat at them, prying the lid open and grabbing the shot glass and lazily pouring them over the edges.

Jungwon scoffed. "If I wasn't driving, I would do it."

"Oh please, you're not going to drink it, just do the tornado thing- go on, do it," Jay urged, challenging Jungwon as he put his glass down, grabbing a shot glass.

With a sharp gaze, Jungwon took another green bottle and he inhaled deeply, eyes focused as if he was manifesting something. Everyone held their breaths, fixating their eyes on the hopeful action.

Jungwon flipped the bottle swiftly- a bit too much as the slippery glass slipped out of his hand and thunked to the table.

He yelped, his reflexes catching it before it could smash. Everyone gaped.

"That was close, gosh, Jungwon. We didn't want you to break the bottle..." You said, apprehensive.

"Yeah, bro, what are you doing?!" Jay exclaimed, grabbing the bottle from Jungwon as if he would break the drink if he moved an inch.

"You haven't even drunk and you're already dropping things," You muttered, smirking. Jungwon scratched tugged at his sleeves as he looked at the glass being taken away.

"Oops."

Next, Yunjin tried to do it, her hand diligently flipping the bottle and swirling it with a force. And then, she forced it back up and everyone stared in awe as there was an actual swirl present. You clapped a little and nodded in satisfaction, eyes igniting with pride.

"It worked better than those two over there," You said, gesturing to the two boys.

Scoffing, Jungwon grabbed a bottle and shoved it to you, to which you stared at it quizzically.

"Go on, do it yourself," Jungwon urged, chin tipped up in smugness.

"Fine."

You had to be strategic with this. Do it at the right timing, the right amount of force and the velocity had to just be exactly correct for the tornado to actually happen within the liquid-

"Yn, what are you doing?" Yunjin nudged you. Momentarily, you glanced at Yunjin before looking back at the green bottle.

You did the same motion as everyone else, flipping it upside down and then doing the little spin with your hands before flipping it back up forcefully and- behold, there was actually a swirl digging into the drink. You grinned at the two boys, who stared with spite. You were actually shocked at yourself to be honest.

"You guys are idiots," You interjected as Yunjin nodded and laughed.

"Shut up," they both chorused, a flash of embarrassment crossing over their faces.

Soon, the food came and everyone had done a few shots, giggling and talking. Jungwon had restrained a drink from his lips even if he urged to have one and join in. Though, he distracted it with the tteokbeokki, taking it from your side.

Seeing food being stolen, you struck your chopsticks at his making him drop it on the table.

"Yn, what the hell? Let me it eat," he said, grumbling as he quickly grabbed it and ate it. You frowned, allowing him before taking the small glass and drinking the soju.

You couldn't exactly be annoyed at him since he was sacrificing his fuel to take everyone out.

The night was filled Yunjin and Jay speaking in English and switching the languages. Jungwon had tried hard to listen, but with his eyebrows dug deep into his face, he gave up and shrugged. You understood bits and pieces and you continued to finish the meal.

And it was like university wasn't a thing to the four of them, and it dissipated within a second.

In their own little bubble, about 2 hours passed by and it was 8:15 PM when they all devoured the food, not wasting any of it. Yunjin suddenly exclaimed, eyes wide with distress.

"I didn't take pictures- oh my gosh?"

You groaned, glaring at Yunjin because you also wanted to capture the memory but their hunger had consumed them before the aesthetic.

"You didn't take pictures?"

Yunjin shook her head, agitated as she scrolled through her phone in the gallery. "Nope, I only got Jay holding the soju bottle... ugh, I'm not posting that to insta."

Jay threw a look of offence, scowling. "What do you mean you can't?"

"You look high," Yunjin muttered, her eyes glued to her phone. You laughed, head a little bit dazed.

"No, wait, send it to me," You said, huddling next to Yunjin. The two girls giggled as Jay scowled and went back to finishing the last bit of his drink.

And then, you sat straight, an idea popping into you mind. You gazed at everyone.

"Who wants dessert?" You asked. The 3 of them looked with interest in their expression, and then Jungwon spoke.

"I'm not driving there." He crosses his arms stubbornly. You had a little gleam of annoyance in your eyes.

"Oh come on, it's, like, 10 minutes from here- you won't even realise you drove there," you said, pouting. You couldn't tell if you were a little bite dazed from the alcohol, but you were determined to get your hands on something sweet.

Jungwon simply stared at the pouty lips and the glare, and he looked away to Jay, who was also quite keen of the idea. With eyes sparkling at Jungwon, Jay blinked.

"Oh come on, Jungwon, don't be so grumpy," Jay said, leaning to him, eyes fluttering. Jungwon sighed, crossing his arms and turning his head to the other direction, away from their tenacious gazes.

Jay scowled, nudging Jungwon.

"Bro, what's the big deal?" Jay asked. The latter just huffed, annoyance painted on his face, bleeding strongly through his expression.

"Oh come on, don't you want gelato or something," You urged, trying to crack that stubborn exterior.

His gaze flickered, as if tempted to give in to that, but he rolled his eyes. "Nah, I'm good."

"Bro, rock, paper, scissors, let's go!" Jay exclaimed, bringing his hand out to set that battle up. You and Yunjin watched in anticipation as Jungwon warily glanced at his hand formed in a fist.

Jungwon really didn't want to- this was a trap, a very meticulous trap that he was slowly walking into...

"For the gelato."

"For the strawberry with chocolate," you interjected.

"For the bingsu," Yunjin said.

And from these attacks, he sighed as he uncrossed his arms, a look of defeat in his eyes.

"Fine."

You jolt in your seat ever so suddenly, staring at Jungwon in the darkness of the car. Startled, Jungwon stops the car momentarily, looking in the side mirrors and staring back at the ambiguity of the road behind them.

He wasn't that careless to not move out of the way of something on this type of isolated road. Now that the car jumped, he couldn't help but keep staring behind him.

Anxiety slightly pinched Jungwon's spine as he sighed. The other three stayed in silence, trying to formulate their thoughts.

"Um.. what was that?" Yunjin asked quietly, a slight shake in her voice. You looked in the other door mirror.

"I don't... see anything..." You mumbled slowly. It was as if the shakiness was contagious because now you couldn't stop the shake creeping into your tone.

"We should go check it, just quickly," Jungwon said, gazing over at you. Your eyes widened.

"Me?"

"Yes, you. Who else," Jungwon muttered, clicking the seatbelt off.

"I don't know, maybe Jay?"

"Shut up, and come with me." Jungwon huffed as he opened the car door, the swift breeze chilling your bones. You couldn't even bite back with a response and, exasperated, you opened the door and walked out before closing the car door.

The wind passed by her and you shivered, walking slowly to the rear of the car with Jungwon. The night sky blanketed your vision, the car engine rumbling into their ears.

No one was saying it but their spines ran with uneasiness, quiet breaths from both as they approached whatever they ran over.

At first, from the car's red lights, you couldn't make it out. It seemed dull and lumpy, and you moved closer with Jungwon.

"What is it...?" Jungwon mumbled to himself but you could hear every word. You ignored the way your muscles bolted into place and walked closer.

Looked like a speed bump, but it wasn't even in the appropriate place to even resemble one.

"Yn, hold on," Jungwon said, a hand wrapping around your arm gently tugging you back. You sensed his anxiety and couldn't help but let the feeling flood your senses as well; you shakily crept more.

With a hand still on your arm, you forced herself to go to it and it wasn't a speed bump.

Seemed like a black bag- a long one.

This time, Jungwon inched closer, bending to it and finally a stench hit his nose as he scrunched his face up. He cleared his throat a little, trying to comfort himself.

"What the hell...?"

You bent down next to him, the air chilling you more as you tugged at what seemed like a zipper on the black lump. Your breath was caught in your throat, but you forced your lungs to relax, inhaling and exhaling.

The stench hit you now as you cleared your throat, and Jungwon peered at the thing as well.

Gently pulling, you revealed a bloody mess of someone's face, eyes wide and void of life- as if he had no light. His neck having a clean cut line that coloured him scarlet over his dead flesh. And the skin seemed so purple, pale and red- veins cut messily and the dried blood explained the awful stench

And you both screamed, losing footing as you and him stumbled away.

look. i’m sick and fucking tired of seeing such horrible and inhumane responses to the global strike for palestine happening this week. it’s not just some β€œtumblr phenomenon”. nobody is forcing you to take off work. nobody is forcing you to take off school. use your brains and figure out that the strike is for justice in palestine. the point is to DO WHAT YOU CAN. even if that just means reblogging posts, telling a friend who might be able to do more, participate in the boycotts, make informative posts yourselves. i know that is all do-able to the majority of you. have a heart. this is not supposed to be comfortable. this is not supposed to be nice. innocent lives in Gaza are being killed by the second and the strike is to keep up the pressure for a ceasefire. Thinking abt how street!racer Jungwon would literally pine for you, but he is always flirty

How street!racer Jungwon would nearly crash his car when he saw the white ribbon in your hair that formed a little bow.

How street!racer Jungwon would literally ask you straight up for your number and then go to ask you to tag along to his street race tonight.

How street!racer Jungwon would laugh when you say "isn't that illegal" and he would chuckle with dimples indented into his cheeks.

How street!racer Jungwon would literally internally celebrate when you said "yes"

How street!racer Jungwon would see you among the crowd with that iconic white ribbon in your ponytail.

(Bro, character AI got me hooked in that story and now I WILL defo write one now)
