Too many beds trope + only.one bed trope where at the beginning the characters have to sleep in one bed and then at the end they finally get a room with multiple beds (like 15) but still choose to sleep in the same bed because they realized they can't sleep without the other anymore.
Back in the day, there was a challenge on the Master Apprentice list to write a fic where Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan bonded, but the bond was one-sided in some way. So many fabulous fics resulted, all exploring different ways where a bond might go wrong! So much delicious angst before the happy endings.
Never be afraid to riff off an idea.
because I've seen a couple posts like this recently:
Do not be discouraged if you see someone with the same idea for a fic as you! Because that's what we want--the same exact stories, over and over, through the unique lens of each writer! That's the beauty of fanfiction: you can read the same story, slightly to the left, as many times as possible!
So please, post that fic that has the same premise as someone else. Write your version of it, and rest assured knowing that at the very least, one person will be delighted to find the same kind of story as one they just finished!
Story idea:
Super poor, nerdy kid who can’t get laid grows up to be the most well known pimp in the city - called rags to rizzes
A character in a historical fiction book who is a noble but always speaks in a flawed imitation of a lower class accent because he thinks it's funny.
I love everything about this. What a vibrantly creative idea.
isekai about a nyc apartment block getting teleported into a fantasy realm, and how this group of people who previously have only had incidental contact with one another come together to build a vibrant community in their new circumstances. there's a season-long arc about introducing bagels and pizza to the fantasy world that gets into the details of sourcing ingredients, developing new technologies, and learning how to work with supernatural substitutions.
Pen and a few of her employees
Pen is in charge of a place where souls go to work off their "debts" if they owe any. After a soul has finished paying off their debt, they have a few options:
1) They can be reincarnated
2) They can simply pass on and cease to exist
3) They can stay and are given a monster form

The world of Pokémon is vast: in the vast regions you journey through, amongst the creatures you grow close to, in various people you meet. Many tales can be told as one makes their way through the generations, no matter what game you begin with or at what age you start. Even if the story ends all the same, it’s the in-between that has entertained many for years.
With every game I play, I like to create little backstories for the MCs I play as. I also like to have one game as a girl and one as a guy. I’ve ever only beaten Gold though since that was the only game I had when I was young. While I’m away from work (due to mental health issues), I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon lately and I thought I’d share them in this post. Even if no one ends up reading any of this, it’ll be something for me to look back at and maybe add to along the way.
NOTE: I always name my character “Burrows” but it’s treated more like a last name than their given name. Also not every game has a backstory yet because I’ve yet to play them.
Crystal is linked to Legends Arceus because at the end of the battle with Red on Mt. Silver, Kris ends up being teleported to Hisui (if I’m playing a female) by Arceus. She’s also Lyra’s older sister.
Platinum is linked to Legends Arceus because couple of years after Dawn becomes Champion, Lucas ends up being teleported to Hisui (if I’m playing a male) by Arceus.
In HeartGold, Lyra sets off on a journey with the motivation to find what happened to her sister, Kris.
In Sword, Victor is originally from somewhere that’s the equivalent to Germany and has had a crush on Hop since they were kids. In Shield, Gloria is Hop’s cousin.
Brilliant Diamond also has Dawn being related to Barry (since I play as a blonde in that game and I immediately thought of her being related to Barry when I saw them together).
Legends Arceus has been briefly explained already but I also like to imagine an alternate timeline where both Lucas and Kris have been sent to Hisui, with Kris being sent a few years earlier than Lucas.
Both Kris and Lucas came from timelines where they were the assistant to their region’s professor so they’re good with researching for Professor Laventon.
Kris is better at battling than Lucas but Lucas is better with problem solving and is more book-smart to Kris’s street-smart.
Neither lost their memories. They aren’t Fallers since they didn’t arrive to Hisui through a wormhole, Arceus was the one who brought them over (I know you can technically play as if you have amnesia in the game but I like the idea of the MCs retaining their memories better).
Kris doesn’t know who Ingo actually is but Lucas does and it’s pain-! He tells Kris and they both make it their mission to help Ingo recover his memories.
Kris was dropped in Hisui feeling accomplished and is determined to find a way back home. Lucas was dropped in Hisui feeling like he might be better off in the past because at least he’s being appreciated and remembered (things weren’t exactly going great for him back in the Platinum timeline).
Kris and Lucas still meet Rei and Akari in this timeline but they’re kids, not teenagers (makes for some cute bonding moments since they remind Kris of Lyra and Lucas was an only child).
Story Ideas
As I said I'll be posting old stories on here, plus some newer ones that I've been working on (my process is always slower than I want it to be, blame ADHD)
Meanwhile, I'm always open to hearing ideas for scenarios to use in stories and will try to post more one-off works instead of ongoing series,
Hear me out! Future Verse(?)
I think a rare thing I have seen in the vore community is convict/criminal preds. The thought of creating a future verse of a small bunch of preds that got arrested and put into jail for their devouring crimes just sounds so interesting.
Sol obviously will be the main one cause like he's hot and the extra changes in his appearance just hits it off. Thought about my bad boys too, Dante and Philip, alongside the flirtatious horndogs, John and Fabian. Then the ex-military hunk of blonde, Brad
Can't have a group of preds without a couple cutie(s) getting flustered (obviously not making it all about these 2 but I think them being on security watch or nurses would be cute, Robin and Izzy.)
I don't know, just a random thought. A thought I hope you guys like too lol. What do y'all think? Yay or nay?
Untitled story about Ashley, "Rocky" and Señor Malo.
This story is meant to be like a Saturday morning cartoon with a super dark sense of humour.
Ashley was with her family on their way to one of many extracurricular classes her parents signed her up for, that she didn't like going to. The traffic was hellish. "Rocky" happened to be driving right next to them, on his way to work, when he notices a drunk driver who is not about to wait around for traffic. He tries to block him but he reacts too late. The drunk driver hits "Rocky's" truck head on and this in turn makes his truck hit Ashley's family van, just where Ashley was sitting.
The three of them die and apparently ended up in hell. While it's obvious why the drunkard is there, it's not clear why either of them are. For one, Ashley's family was full of atheists or spiritual hippies who believe in aliens and similar things. While "Rocky" is a devout and lawful man of god.
From the flames emerges Señor Malo (and it's not evil in Spanish, it's his last name). He explains to the two that they are in a place between Earth and the afterlife. The reason it looked firey was because their accident caused "Rocky's" truck to burst into flames, igniting the nearby woodlands. They aren't dead yet and had a chance of going back to Earth and live again. All they had to do was come to terms with the fact they had made some questionable decisions during their lifetime, and then make up for the consequences of their poorly thought of actions. Ashley knew exactly what she did, but "Rocky" was hit so badly he lost all his memories.
Since they can't change the past, Señor Malo asks them to help him out. He hunts down all sorts of addicts and criminals whose actions directly affects innocent people's lives.
"Rocky" thinks it must be a bad dream. But Ashley is conflicted. On one hand, she's free of her overbearing and strict parents' stupid rules and extracurricular classes ideas. But she also was no longer gonna see her best friends.
So far, that's as much as I've written about it, I want to see how well I can expand this idea, maybe into a full series (comics, actual animation, a full book, who knows). What kind of issues does Ashley have. What kind of criminals Señor Malo ends up meeting and hunting down. What is "Rocky" doing thorought all of this?
So, what do you think about it? Any questions, criticism, advice, suggestions and insults welcome.
I like the Self Aware AU'S, But, They are very focused on Genshin impact, honkai star rail/impact, twst among others.
Are they the least known?
Example; Harvest Town, Farm city or medieval/dragon games, dragon mania, etc... Games where you literally create a city or something, a fortress, a castle, that sort of thing.
"Oh But the characters-?"
Most self-aware story's are romantic, harem things, don't lie. It doesn't have to be romantic, there are things platonic.
Like Harvest Town and farm city, characters can see the player as a god of harvest, fertility and plantation. While games where you build kingdoms, castles, battle others, etc. Maybe they see the player as a god of war for example
I'm just tired of seeing self aware aus being simply seen in games for just romance, There are people who simply see the characters' comfort platonically, but when they look for stories like this, there are only romances ones.
I know there are some that are platonic or simply neutral, but it's hard to find that there aren't one or two characters in love with the player.
But I'll leave this there for anyone who wants self-aware story ideas.
Imagine you being Will’s and Jonathan’s Sister:
and Vecna/Henry/001 takes a liking towards you..:
SOMEBODY PLEASE WRITE THIS!
Also your Jonathan’s twin!
Idea
Imagine Where it’s Coriolanus snow x fem reader and they have known each other for a long time and maybe even dated (until Lucy gray) and somebody says in a speech:
“A Toast To Y/n always the second love, never the first..”
Or something like that and yes it’s inspired by the quote in corpse bride..
(Like honestly how would he react? How would the reader react? What would happen?)
Harry Potter - TVD au (I think that’s what you would call it) prompt
So, It was way late at night and I had this random Harry Potter (AU?) fanfic idea. What if someone made a HP/TVD (TVD stands for “The Vampire Diaries” and it takes TVD elements/aspects and puts it in HP, so it’s still HP and not a crossover) fic? It’s also fem!Harry. There will obviously be a lot of changes to the story, and rebuilding, but I feel like if done right, it can be really cool.
Disclaimer: I’m a big fan of both TVD and HP, but I am by no means an expert on either. I don’t know everything about these franchises or much about their world building and history. My knowledge is very limited. So, please bare with me.
Anyways here are some points and stuff I had in mind for it:
The time period would be very different. It either follows the TVD timeline (or it somehow mixes both) or it’s more modern time (like HP cursed child). So, a lot of the characters birth years would have to change and be pushed back and/or forward. If it follows the TVD timeline, than Harry would be born in the year 1992-1993 (instead of 1980), and it should take place in 2003-2004. If it follows the modern timeline, then Harry would be born 2005-2006, and it should take place 2016-2017. Note, it should only start at those years IF (and only if) you want to start the story from the beginning, when they were 10-11. If you want to start it where they’re 16-17, then depending on which time period you chose to follow you would start off in the years 2008-2009(TVD)/2022-2023(Modern).
It can either be realistic to our real life world or semi-realistic, where some of the events and things that happened in real life happen/happened in there, but not everything (so maybe Covid would not have ever been a thing and so on).
The Potter family would be the Bennett family of the universe. Harry would be Bonnie (the character, not the name). This is mostly because of the whole Bennett witches being so connected with death and “the other side” (bc of Bonnie’s ancestor, Qetsiyah) and then Bonnie becoming the anchor to the other side. Then we have the Potter family also being connected with death and the whole Master of Death thing (bc of Harry’s ancestor, Ignotus) and then Harry becoming the “Master of Death”. Since the Bennett family is mostly dominated by the women, you can do the same with the Potter family and just make up some more Potter witches if there’s not enough canonical or you can just make it where it focuses on both Witches and Wizards in the family.
Squibs would be the Siphoners. You could keep Squibs as they are, magically born people with no magic themselves, and though they can still see magical things, they can’t really interact with it or they can be all that but actually have the ability to siphon (draw out) magic from magical beings/things (obviously with limits) to use.
For the werewolves (or Vamps), you could keep them as they are in HP or you can change them completely to TVD werewolves (and Vamps) or just keep them as they are in HP but they have some TVD aspects (like the werewolves being able to control their transformations with Moonlight rings and vamps being resistant to sunlight with Daylight rings but without giving them any superhuman abilities or immortality).
The founding families could either be the Pureblooded families (the sacred 28) or the founders of Hogwarts (Helga, Rowena, Godric, and Salazar).
The elixir of life in HP is literally just the immortality elixir in TVD (they’re literally the same thing, only, where the HP one has limits/is not forever and you have to drink it regularly, the TVD one is forever just from one drink.
How death(s) and ghosts are handled can be a mixture between both franchises or you can decide on which one you want it to lean towards more.
Vampire Hunters & any other Supernatural Hunters could be made relevant, and actually be (somewhat) important figures in the story. You can do a mixture of both or decide whether you like the TVD or HP version better.
For sirens, you can keep them as they are in HP, mix them up, or make them as powerful and important as the TVD sirens (or maybe you can change it up and make the Veela’s into what the TVD sirens are instead, since the sirens in HP live in water, have no legs, and thus can’t come out to land. So Veela’s could just be the sirens of the land (land sirens).

Dracula + Frankenstein? 🤔
Too Many Story Ideas
So, I know I need to post on here more, but I need to talk about some stuff.
What do you do when you have too many story ideas in your brain, but can't keep one long term? Because I started writing my Bianca di Angelo Lives AU again, but I’m also working on a screenplay and now another story idea is developing for a book trilogy.
My current plan is to just work on the fanfic on the side when I have time with my main project being the screenplay because that has the end goal of being a film by 2025 for school. But this book trilogy I know I can’t start writing it because it will just take over, but I want to at least outline it and develop the characters.
And on top of that there’s a one-shot I want to write in The Dragon Prince because I can’t get the idea out of my head and I want to write it, but it’s a one-shot so there's not the worry of not finishing it.
It’s like I always have a story to tell, but I just keep getting new ideas that I want to work on. Should I just write all the ideas down as ideas in some notebooks to look at another time when I get more ideas for stories? Because maybe I’ll want to write them later in life when I’m not working on something else.
This isn’t something that is only happening now, it’s been happening for years. I have stories I started writing in notebooks but abandoned because I wasn’t interested anymore. I just want a way to work with the creative flow and actually finish stuff before starting other projects.
Does anyone have any advice?
Random, but a really handy way to make things seem creepy or wrong in horror is to make them incongruously neat or clean:
In the middle of a horrific battlefield, you find one corpse laid aside neatly, straightened and arranged, its arms crossed neatly across its chest
As you walk through the garden, you gradually realise that the oddness you’ve been noticing about the trees is that they are all perfectly symmetrical
As you move through the abandoned house, you realise that suddenly that there’s no dust in this room, no dirt or cobwebs
You hear hideous noises coming from behind a locked door, screams and pleas, and visceral sounds of violence. When you manage to break down the door, there is no one there, and the room is perfectly spotless
In the middle of a horrific battlefield, a hollow full of churned mud and blood, you find five corpses cleanly dismembered, each set of limbs or parts neatly laid out in their own little row
You witness a murder, a brutal, grisly killing that carpets the area in blood. When you return in a blind panic with the authorities, the scene is completely clean, and no amount of examination can find even a drop of blood
You run through the night and the woods with a comrade, pulling each other through leaves and twigs and mud as you scramble desperately towards freedom. When you finally emerge from the forest, in the grey light of dawn, you turn to your companion in relief, and notice that their clothes are somehow perfectly clean
You hand a glass of water to your suspect, talking casually the whole while, and watch with satisfaction as they take it in their bare hand and take a drink. There’ll be a decent set of prints to run from that later. Except there isn’t. There are no prints at all. As if nothing ever touched the glass
You browse idly through your host’s catalogue, and stop, and pay much more attention, when you realise that several items on a dry list of acquisitions are ones you’ve seen before, and it slowly dawns on you that each neat little object and number in this neat little book are things that belong (belonged?) to people you know
Neatness, particularly incongruous neatness, neatness where you expect violence or imperfection or abandonment, or neatness that you belatedly realise was hiding violence, or neatness that is imposed over violence, is incredibly scary. Because neatness is not a natural thing. Neatness requires some active force to have come through and made it so. Neatness implies that the world around you is being arranged, maybe to hide things, to disguise things, to make you doubt your senses, or else simply according to something else’s desires. Neatness is active and artificial. Neatness puts things, maybe even people, into neat little boxes according to something else’s ideals, and that’s terrifying as well. Being objectified. Being asked to fit categories that you’re not sure you can fit, and wondering what will happen to the bits of you that don’t.
Neatness, essentially, says that something else is here. Neatness where there should be chaos says that either something came and changed things, or that what you’re seeing now or what you saw then is not real. Neatness alongside violence says that something came through here for whom violence did not mean the same thing as it does to you.
Neatness, in the right context, in the right place, can be very, very scary
And fun
