Tomato Soup

I remember being quite bored with all the soups my mom made, then, once I was on my own I noticed how many soups I ended up making 😊

Most of the time I don’t really follow a strict recipe, although for this tomato one I use a Bobby Flay recipe I found online ages ago. The only real change is that I use an immersion blender, it saves a lot of cleaning.

Needed a lot of tomatoes so grabbed some from Costco. After some roasting I finished off the recipe on the stove, blended everything and it was ready to serve.

Easter Sunday Lunch

Decided on slow cooked lamb shanks in Guinness and purée for Easter lunch.

A bit of prep and then into the slow cooker, looks impressive, but not that much effort. The best kind of lunch 😊

Ferry Doodle - Yellow Flower

Still in the “getting to know you” phase of the app. A quick little doodle as I waited for the ferry to dock just to experiment and practice a bit with layers and brushes. Used the default pastel brushes, all freehand, no reference pics.

Solid Colours

One of the first so called “completed” pictures I did last year when I decided to get back into drawing.

I was mostly trying to get a sense of the app, so stayed with simple lines and solid colouring. Used a butterfly picture as a guide, didn’t trace it. Not perfect, but like in all things, you have to start somewhere 😊

Ferry Doodles - Pink Flower

I guess flowers are one of the easier things to doodle while on a ferry. Playing around a bit with the Bardot watercolour brushes trying to remember what I did in the tutorial 😊

Plane Doodles - Peach

Well, seems like I tend go have a theme going for travel doodles, should try something other than fruit next time, diversify my portfolio and all 😊

Nothing much, I was just trying to distract myself from the fact I was on a plane, don’t like them. Used the Bardot pastel brushes.
