I am suddenly reminded of the best advice I ever heard for drawing realistic noses. Draw a dick on the person's face. That's it... I mean then you refine it into a nose, but boy did that change my perspective on noses.

Oh hmm, my favorite trope to write? That is so hard! But probably the battle couple. I love to write a pair that kick ass together. They were equals. Which leads into my second favorite which is the guard dog/ he can take care of himself, but why should he have to? Ugh... I had to look up a list of tropes because I don't think in tropes, I know I probably write a lot of tropes, but I am trope blind until someone points it out. As for 16, do I prefer co-writing or working by myself? My fanfiction history is a long and checkered past of entertaining myself with stories about the people or worlds I want to rotate in my mind, and also roleplaying (we each write from the perspective of a character) collaborative storytelling. I don't much do the second one anymore, so most of my fic is written alone but with pinging ideas off of a few trusted people. If I had the time and the right partner, I would do more collaborative storytelling roleplay. (Which is still fanfiction, I think?)

To help with my desire to learn to read Chinese I am playing with the extension called toucan which turns random words on a webpage into whatever language you set it to. So far it has been fun and hilarious to see the words it picks. I am going to be so fluent for words like tag and work-in-progress 🤣
