Gordon Becomes Shocked And Unsure As What To Do At The Sight Of Tears.

Gordon becomes shocked and unsure as what to do at the sight of tears.

Camille: *picks up Baby Gordon and rocks him* Hey, hey… shhh… it’ll be OK.

Gordon: I.. erm.. I don’t understand. He’s a tender engine, we don’t sh-

Camille: He’s a baby, Gordon. He just wants to play. Have fun? *bounces the baby in her arms* And I would give that toy back to him before you have a tender engine size problem if his brother shows up upset at you for making him cry. Or Sir and Lady Hatt.

Gordon: But, Camille he’s part of an elite class of engine. It won’t hurt him to not shunt cars…

Camille: I hear someone is having a big play date today!

Gordon is following closely beside Camille holding her hand.

Baby Gordon happily peeps his whistle.

Baby Gordon: Pway, Pway, Pway!!!!

Camille: What is the process? I mean, do you think they would consider engines from other worlds? *takes a deep breath with a laugh* I mean, they don’t grow up I know, but it’s a very unique and lovely thing to have a family as an engine. It’s amazing that something like this can happen. Sorry, I’m rambling.

Camille: This question is more for the Ramsfield’s then anything. Do baby engines get adopted by other engines? Is that a thing? A-asking for a friend.

@theyellowroseofsodor Mrs. Ramsfield: Yes, on some of the railways my husband and I have visited, there have been engines who have adopted baby engines. Little Tykes amusement park has a program similar to Big Brothers, Big Sisters where the bigger engines will help staff look after the little ones.

Gordon: *sighs* Do you have a few minutes of your time I could spare sir? I just finished up with the Express. I know you’re not technically my Sir but… I need some advice.

Gordon: *standing at the door of Sir Topham Hatt’s office at Knapford and finally knocks a bit hesitantly* …. Maybe I shouldn’t… *turns and scratches at his hair in frustration*. Why do things always have to be so complicated??

Just then Sir Topham Hatt opens the door. He is surprised to see Gordon.

STH: Oh, Gordon! I wasn't expecting to run into you. Is there something you need?

Oh I’m sorry, I completely misunderstood what you were saying… For what it’s worth, wanting to make those kinds of posts doesn’t make you a bad person. There’s spaces for it for a reason, after all.

🎁 Gift Anon 🎁

😂 Thanks Gift Anon! You’re the best still. I’m just happy you’ve been understanding. I think I’ll end up posting some things and I’ve never ever thought of doing anything explicit (those thoughts stay hidden under lock and key 😈) but they kind of work with my fic because it is about to get a mature rating because of more dark themes, again nothing explicit but there will be romance and there will be fights and sorrows and well, it’ll be roughly the equivalent to a PG-13 movie nowadays. But most posts here are more pure than anything so I’m like “Do I dare?” It’s not just Gordon and Camille either, it’s James x Edward and Henry x Hiro too. I do plan on marking those sections with a second warning in the fic as well. I feel like if I post warnings then people can’t really complain. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Camille: Not many people have studied the gold dust that helps us transform. I mean, our skin is the same color as our faces of our engine, our hair matches our livery, and then there’s our wheels *kicks up leg pointing to ankle* on the sides of our legs. We can also move them and skate. All we know is that the Lady of Legend couldn’t stand watching her steam engines die and be replaced and gave us this ability. Some engines like it, some don’t, others… are sad or frustrated it took so long for Her to act. Many have lost siblings and friends from the age of diesels and electric.

*looks at Mrs. Ramsfield* Thank you. I’m.. not entirely unfamiliar with the emotions. I’m a first of my kind, I was built an engine and raised by a human as his daughter. Him and his wife couldn’t have children of their own. My siblings are all different types of engine crafts; two aircrafts, a ship, a fire truck. I know it’s hard for Gordon, my Gordon that is, to think of having a family. It was just him and his brother for so long after all, but for me… I have cousins that are human and aunts and uncles. Sometimes those differences from other engines… makes it hard despite wanting a family. Edward has been very kind towards the feeling though. He and James have sometimes daydreamed of having a child together.
