Everyone's focused on the beef and the Met Gala and shit but do y'all not see wtf is happening in the world rn.

People in Rafah have nowhere to go, and Israel is bombing them, people are now seeing (hearing from tiktok) that they're see ppl with demonic faces and such, the government is to ban parts of the bible, there is an ocean under the ocean I guess I don't fucking know, and then there's the argument on why women choose the Bear and such, plus all of the other wars that are happening as we speak

Y'all, I am really afraid and scared of what our future holds, man. I know I said this a couple of times on this app, but I'm deadass fr scared.

I do not see myself having a child in the future because I do not want my child to live in this vile world, I promise you God will understand stand my choice.

All I know is I gotta get right and stay prayed up.

‼️‼️

If you're having trouble keeping up with what's going on in Palestine because of US news coverage of university protests, here are some articles you can read and a video you can watch:

dirco.gov.za
Media Statement   23 April 2024   Discovery of mass graves at Nasser Hospital in Gaza   South Africa is appalled by the recent grim discover
amp.theguardian.com
Spokesperson says some bodies allegedly had their hands tied while others were bound and stripped

While CNN & all the other mainstream media try to paint the university protests as "pro terrorism" (which they're not, they're literally anti-war protests.) Palestinians are being slaughtered by the minute.

Please don't stop speaking about Palestine.

Updates 4/2/2024

twitter screenshot: الهلال الأحمر الفلم CRESCENT يني PALESTINT OCIETY PRCS @PalestineRCS ... RED In a challenging operation spanning several hours, teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) successfully recovered the bodies of the seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) employees this morning. They were targeted by Israeli occupation forces yesterday evening while traveling in vehicles owned by the kitchen in Deir al-Balah, in the central #Gaza Strip. Two of the bodies were initially missing, but were later located and retrieved by the PRCS teams. Subsequently, all seven bodies were transported to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah and then to Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital in preparation for their evacuation through the Rafah border crossing. 1:45 AM 4/2/24 From Earth 2.1K Views

World Central Kitchen is devastated to confirm seven members of our team have been killed in an IDF strike in Gaza. The WCK team was traveling in a deconflicted zone in two armored cars branded with the WCK logo and a soft skin vehicle. Despite coordinating movements with the IDF, the convoy was hit as it was leaving the Deir al-Balah warehouse, where the team had unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza on the maritime route. “This is not only an attack against WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war. This is unforgivable,” said World Central Kitchen CEO Erin Gore. The seven killed are from Australia, Poland, United Kingdom, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada, and Palestine. “I am heartbroken and appalled that we—World Central Kitchen and the world—lost beautiful lives today because of a targeted attack by the IDF. The love they had for feeding people, the
determination they embodied to show that humanity rises above all, and the impact they made in countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished,” said Erin. The IDF says it is “carrying out an in-depth examination at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.” World Central Kitchen is pausing our operations immediately in the region. We will be making decisions about the future of our work soon.

Hamas just released its proposal for a permanent ceasefire. Israel has dismissed all of their proposals as “unrealistic” — and that has been echoed across the U.S. corporate media.

Here are the actual proposals from each side.

LOOK AT THIS CHILD. LOOK AT HER.

This is what Biden is sending "Israel" money and bombs to do. This is what America and the UK and "Israel" are doing. This is what the "free, civilised world" is paying for. This is what your taxes are paying for. This is where every penny earned by companies supporting and owned by "israel" are paying for. LOOK AT HER. THIS IS REAL. DO NOT LOOK AWAY. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. OR ARE YOU NOT HUMAN?

On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.

On This Year Women's Day, All We Could Think About Are Palestinian Women In Gaza.

Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.

“Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,” Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesperson, said on Thursday.

Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.

Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.

Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.

According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under “harsh, unsafe and unhealthy” conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.

There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from “malnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.

There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with women’s underwear.

This is cultural genocide. The Canadian government has removed being born in the state of Palestine as an option on passport renewal process - and people are expected to accept being born stateless moving forward. This is anti-Palestinian racism. https://t.co/H4bAHO4Z5H

— Yipeng Ge 葛义朋 (@yipengGe) February 24, 2024

Where do I even begin? I'm appalled. The Canadian government living up to its roots in colonial-settler violence... this is beyond criminal. Contact your MP's. This erasure and anti-Palestinian racism is unacceptable.

Hi everyone, My name is George, I am Palestinian born and raised in Gaza city, I moved to London Ontario 4 years ago with my husband. I am raising this fund to help my family flee the war and come safely to Canada and reunite with me and my kids again. I'm writing to you at a really critical and urgent moment. Presently, my family is in Gaza and is dealing with unspeakable conditions. My family and I are fervently requesting your assistance so that we can help them flee to safety and reunite with me in Canada. I live in Canada with my 2 kids , yet I feel like I'm thousands of miles away from my family and are helpless to stop the suffering caused by ongoing aggression in Gaza. The situation is getting worse every day, and I worry about their safety. Any donation will be highly appreciated. The donation link is in my pinned post. Kindly help where possible.

I'm personally sorry that I cannot help you via donation but I hope spreading awareness on your situation can help. I wish the best for you and your family sir, I will try to get this post to reach the right people who can donate to you. Stay safe po

The problem I have with the “it’s performative to share videos of Gaza” and “you shouldn’t traumatize yourself watching videos of death” narrative is that it’s literally the opposite of what people in Gaza are asking. They are in an Internet black out. Palestinians are risking air strikes, tank, and sniper fire to get to high enough ground to maybe catch Internet service via e-sim to share these videos. Their video content is the evidence of genocide and the only counter narrative to Israeli propaganda.

Only Al Jazeera has international news on the ground and their journalists have been routinely targeted and killed for sharing these videos. Western media spreads IOF propaganda without fact checking but makes sure you know the Palestinian Health Ministry is “Hamas run.” CNN gets Israeli approval of its stories as a deal for access.

Why do you think Motaz was permitted to leave? His account reached 15 million people (18 now). He was too high profile to kill but evacuation would effectively stop his coverage. (This is not a criticism of Motaz in any way. Let that man live.) High engagement with Palestinian journalists on social media is protection. There is a reason Israel had to kill Al Jazeera bureau chief Wael Dahdouh’s entire family instead of targeting him directly. Motaz may not be here without viral sharing. Sending e-sims to Gaza would not be a thing without viral sharing.

You should absolutely engage in self care but if you think never sharing or watching on the ground coverage of a genocide is helpful to stopping the genocide, I am baffled. This is not something mainstream media is capturing. Consider the extent to which Israel spread propaganda videos to normalize bombing hospitals. Without social media coverage, most young people would not hear the Palestinian side. Congo and Sudan would remain completely unheard of and they’re still not getting the attention required for change in part because of Internet blackouts the moment attention was drawn. (The other part is anti-Black racism.)

Palestinians absolutely get the right to say I can’t watch this. Rest is your revolution in this genocide.

White people in particular use these narratives of protecting our mental health as a way to disengage. I am not saying you need to watch 24 hours a day of footage, but yes you should be sharing what’s happening on the ground. And yes, you should do more than reshare.

I am neurodiverse and mentally ill. I am chronically ill. I get our limitations. But you need to reflect where you are actually engaging in self care to sustain your advocacy and using these narratives to center your comfort and manage your guilt.

This is Rafah, The "safe" zone, where 1.5 million Palestinian fled to. You have to understand, what bombing Rafah means.

Please don't look away, while everybody is busy watching the super bowl, Israel commits one of its most deadly and openly genocidal attacks on Rafah. Please don't look away.

I am so fucking scared. I feel that... you know it's not about death. I'm not so scared of death. I'm so scared of being displaced. I want to go back to my home--and I'm so near, by the way... Gaza is so small. But I can't go there because the Gaza Strip is cut into pieces, and vehicles and tanks are in the borders between these pieces so I just can't go anywhere inside my homeland. My place. And... it's unacceptable. It's unimaginable. You know I have never imagined before that one day someone would just grab me from my... my homeland. My place. And just throw me away and prevent me to come back.

By the way, we don't know if we could go back. If we could go back again. Ever. And I'm so scared that they could displace us from Gaza Strip to the desert. [Bisan's voice breaks, she breaks into tears] We will die in the desert because of hunger. They displaced us to Egypt. To the north of Egypt, to Sanari desert. People just die. We will die.

[Sob] I don't know why do you guys are watching without doing anything to end this. Just in the... just stop it. Just stop it. Stop it in any price, stop it in any cost. Just stop it for anything. Just stop this. It's a nightmare. I can't continue just thinking about the displacement more and more. It's a nightmare. And I can't-- I can't keep it alive while thinking of being displaced more and more.

I just wanna go back to my home.

-- Bisan in a heartbreaking voice memo on Instagram, 2.14.2024
