I never had people draw fanart for one of my fics or write something based on it, but I just know that that is such a high honor and show of love. I once had someone ask me if they could translate my fic in Chinese and I was like, wow, they love it enough to want to put time and effort into it to show it to more people.

I fell in love with a girl who was my bestfriend. I didn’t realize until this year. Four years after I could have done something. Six years after I really could have done something. I still love her, in a way. But it’s not a healthy relationship for me to pursue. And I know that. But it doesn’t really stop the hurt.

There’s something so painful about loving someone too late. About realizing you loved them in a moment that, if you’d known, could have changed yours and their future. Or maybe not. But things would have been different anyway.
