But I will toss my $0.02 in here anyway. Ignore if you like.

I am withholding all judgement until a non-tabloid news source covers the issue at hand.

I do not hold a "believe victims" value. People lie. I don't automatically believe anyone about anything. I DO hold a "listen to people who say they've been victimized" value. Victims need to feel safe coming forward with what happened to them.

I do not hold a "he must be innocent because I like his work and his public persona" value. People lie. I don't know the accused personally, only his work and public persona. I have no leg to stand on, in either defense or prosecution.

I also do not trust the media overly much, especially a tabloid-style news source with real conflict of interest on what's being reported.

Am I sad? Yes, deeply. Do I hope it's not true? Yes, of course. Do I empathize with women who say something bad happened to them? Yes, of course. Do I think we have the full story at this time? No, no I do not think we do. And I don't think the source currently available is a trustworthy one.

I will have to decide for myself when I think we do have the full story, and what to do about it and with myself at that time. My decisions will have nothing to do with yours, meaning I will not decide what to do based on what others decide to do, nor do I expect anyone else to decide what to do based on what I do. Until then, I am making no calls one way or another. I will keep doing what I do, because Good Omens is so much more than one person.

Be well. This fandom is the first one I ever joined, and it's meant so much more to me than I ever expected.

P.S. This post has been up for half an hour and I've already blocked 3 trolls insisting that I'm an idiot for this stance. That's more telling than anything else.
