VARIOUS RE CHARACTERS REACTING TO FRIENDLY ZOMBIE READER (G/N)

Brought to you by your local zombiekin <3 (Fun fact, was originally planning on adding Wesker- but I wanted to get this out sometime within the month lolol)

Also please note, I have not seen a full playthrough of Re1R or Re1- Chris might be OOC.

Characters Included:

Leon Kennedy (Re2R)

Claire Redfield (Re2R)

Jill Valentine (Re3R)

Carlos Oliveira (Re3R)

Chris Redfield (Re1R)

Content Warnings Included:

Mentions of body horror (brief, but still applies to reader themselves.)

Mentions of gore/death (nothing explicit.)

The Sewers. (They deserve their own trigger warning /hj)

Mention of eye touching/prodding

Leon Kennedy:

After having cleared the hallways of the Racoon City Police Department and coming face to face with some disgusting freaks of nature named Lickers, Leon thought he had seen it all. Honestly, he didn’t imagine there was anything new that could surprise him in this goddamn place until he made eye contact with you.

Well.. if you can call staring at the dangling eye hanging out of your socket “eye contact”.

He instinctively raised his gun, expecting to see you rise to your feet, stumble over to him and try to nom his neck like all the other undead he’d seen so far- but to his (pleasant) surprise, that didn’t happen. In some odd groan you spit out, which he assumed was your attempt at speech, you backed away from him. Arms raised as if to show you didn’t mean to cause him harm.

It was odd to say at the very least. He kept his aim marked at the dead center of your head, though he hesitated pulling the trigger now. Your right hand (which Leon noted had a nasty looking chunk taken out of it) drifted down to a bloodied ID badge hanging from your breast pocket.

Though it was hard to read, Leon squinted out the words “Assistant Secretary” in bolded letters at the top of your ID.

He looked back up at you, slowly lowering his gun as he noticed the almost.. human-like quality of fear in your eyes. He could’ve sworn he even saw your shoulders sag slightly with relief as he tucked his gun into his holster.

“Hey.. can you.. understand me?” Leon’s words paused at times as he debated internally if he was really trying to communicate with a dead person. He could feel his stomach sink slightly as you slowly nodded back, cautious that he’d still shoot.

“What the hell.. How are you even- no wait- you’re infected and you can still?- What??”

You watched as Leon’s brows furrowed and his expressions cycled through confusion, disbelief, intrigue and right back to absolute bewilderment. It was almost funny and you almost tried to smile at him- before remembering the fact that your jaw had gotten unhinged a while ago and it’d likely confuse the poor guy more.

After a very long and arduous time of trying to explain to the baby-faced police officer how exactly you got bit and how you locked yourself in this room and how even you didn’t know how you kept your humanity- it just ended up in Leon sitting on the floor, scratching his head.

“I really don’t understand what you’re trying to tell me. I’m sorry.” You grumbled out a brief noise of annoyance before just accepting it and sitting on the ground across from him.

There was an awkward silence between the two of you for a while before Leon spoke up.

“Hey look. I know you’re already bit and all but maybe we can find you some help? There’s a hospital in the city- there has to be someone who can fix.. uh.. whatever you’ve got going on here, right?” He even sounded unsure of the words he was saying, yet the caring smile etched onto his nervous features was enough to convince you that you should come with him.

Not particularly like you believed you could be cured, but more as in “This poor kind boy will get killed if someone’s not looking out for him.”

So you gave a polite nod, rummaging through what little supplies you saved in here before heading out of your sanctuary with Leon- glad you’d met someone so nice in this mess.

Claire Redfield:

Despite having been caught in the middle of a zombie outbreak and getting turned yourself, undead life was surprisingly calm. You had shuffled your way down into the sewers after getting bit, accepting your fate as you felt your consciousness slowly slip away as blood drained out of the bite on your leg- only to wake up a few hours later a lot paler and surprisingly awake.

Part of you was frustrated you had somehow miraculously lived through transforming into a zombie because of course you would be the unlucky schmuck who would stay sentient throughout something like that. Only your level of sheer bad luck would allow that.

It turned out being down here wasn’t too bad if you ignored the weird mutated masses of flesh in the water, the massive hulking figure of a presumably mutated man that would scream in agony every hour or so and the other rotting corpses surrounding you. Otherwise, it was nice.

You had honestly thought that you were going to live the rest of your undead life here. It’s not like being on the surface is any better at the moment- though you had to admit, it got boring really quickly.

That’s why when you heard a small repetitive bang of a pistol fire off- you couldn’t help but let your curiosity win. You peaked around a corner, just dark enough so whoever was firing couldn’t see you, to take a glance at whatever unlucky person slipped down here.

She couldn’t have been past her early twenties, you thought, her younger features and nervous look spoke volumes. Her eyes had a certain steely resolve to them though, which would’ve impressed you if she didn’t stare directly at you. Previously fascinating eyes now had your stomach drop as she raised her gun at you preparing to fire.

You scrambled away down the hall you came from, legs slightly slipping from the slimy layer on the floor that you really didn’t want to think about at the moment.

Claire had started giving chase after you, worried you were possibly another survivor that she had scared off with her reckless gun waving.

“H-Hey! Wait up!” She yelled out, following your shadow throughout the gross sewers.

You had run yourself into a dead end- panicking and turning around to see her approaching rapidly. Without a way to defend yourself, you simply put your arms in front of your face to shield it as you shut your eyes tightly- preparing to get shot.

Clacking sounds of boots hitting the wet floor filled your ears as Claire stopped just a few feet away from you. She huffed out in exhaustion, leaned over to catch her breath.

“I’m.. I’m sorry- jeez hold on. About.. About scaring you. I didn’t know there were other survivors down here. You alright?” She looked up at you, briefly scanning over your body.

She noted how you looked worse for wear (but then again, so did she) and the large, infected looking wound on your leg. Her face shifted into one of pity as she looked back up at your face.

“Oh.. Is.. Is that why you ran from me?” You nodded, slowly lowering your arms to gauge her expression. It’s funny, she looked a lot more sweet up close. Your eyes met hers and you almost felt better. She looked at you with such.. compassion, even though you were infected.

Claire felt an immense sense of pity overwhelm her. She must’ve scared the living daylights out of you upon chasing you down like a rabid animal. As her gaze met yours though, she realized how glossy your eyes looked- how pale your skin was. You were probably already dead considering how familiar you looked compared to other zombies she had seen.

“I don’t want to hurt you, okay? You seem like a nice.. person? Zombie? I’m not fully sure what to call you.” Her tone was very soft, almost like a gentle elder sister, it was soothing to hear after all the harsh groans and grumbles you’d been hearing from the other undead around you.

“I think that it’ll be beneficial for us to work together. I have a friend who’s a police officer who I’m trying to meet up with. Maybe we can all find a way to escape together and you could get some help at a hospital out of this town. Is that okay?”

It wasn’t like you really had a reason to say no and the way she kept her voice so polite and calm definitely swayed your choice. With a nervous step forward, you precariously nodded.

“Perfect. My name’s Claire. Claire Redfield. It’s nice to meet you.”

Jill Valentine:

Jill was getting pretty damned tired of this zombie shit. First at Arklay, now in Racoon City the day before she was supposed to move out of this hellhole. It was just starting to get ridiculous and if she still believed in a God, she would’ve thought they had it out for her.

As she turned a hard left, narrowly avoiding a zombie grasping and hobbling towards her- Jill entered the subway company’s office. Thankfully it was empty, Jill thought to herself as she pushed the door leading into the traffic control system’s room only to have the door get pushed right back into her face.

What the fuck??

Jill grabbed her knife from the sheath on her side and rammed the door open- fully expecting to have to fight hand to hand, only to meet your terrified gaze as you fell onto the floor.

She honestly couldn’t tell if you were infected or not- you looked like you’d been drained dry of all your blood, yet your expressions were so human. Hands raised, slightly shaking (Jill wasn’t sure if that was due to fear or the fact your right hand was hanging on by a few tendons of muscle.)

You mumbled out a shrill and raspy yelp, trying to communicate as best you could that somehow you were still conscious, even in this form.

Jill wasn’t exactly sure what to do with you, knuckles tensing and untensing around the handle of her knife. She almost felt guilt thinking about stabbing you now. Her body went taut as she saw you stumble up and head to the subway panel. You waved your hands, pointing back and forth at the subway map and its controls.

“You.. know how to work that?” Jill hesitated with her words, almost embarrassed that she was trying to communicate with.. a zombie as far as she could tell.

Well that was until you nodded very rapidly, as if trying to prove you had some worth.

So with a frustrated sigh, Jill said “Okay, I need to go to Fox Park. Figure it out.”

Jill watched you with interest as you flipped through the switches expertly, going through the path so quickly she had to assume you worked here before.. whatever happened to you. You figured it out so quickly and turned back to her, as if expecting her to allow you to follow her to wherever she was headed.

Part of her really didn’t want to bring back an infected to the subway but you had the biggest eyes and were practically pleading.

“No- you can’t. God just..” Bigger puppy dog eyes.

“NO. You’ll cause too much commotion! I can’t-”

“Hey Jill- you got that subway route finished?”

Your eyes instantly went to the radio buzzing from her shoulder and she made a mental note to punch Carlos when she got back.

“Yes.. Thanks to the help of a.. oddly friendly zombie.”

You could hear him cackle over the other side of the radio. “You’re joking- right?”

“I wish I was.” Jill sighed out and explained to Carlos that she actually met a nice zombie and spent about 10 minutes convincing him and the other U.B.C.S members to let you follow and that she swears she’ll keep an eye on you and please please please please let her keep you-

Mikhail begrudgingly agrees after her arguing that she should be able to keep you around and that you’ve proven yourself to be helpful- but is told that you’ll be staying with Carlos when you both return to not endanger the civilians and to truly prove yourself.

Jill didn’t know why, but she felt the need to protect you. Maybe it was some lingering savior complex or survivor's guilt but she ignored that for now and walked alongside you back to the subway station.

Carlos Oliveira

As Jill arrived with you in tow, Carlos did notice how surprisingly calm and patient you were with everyone. You clung onto Jill for a little while- being careful to not go too far into the train- in the off chance someone would see you and freak out.

While Carlos trusted Jill’s choice in trusting you, most of the other U.B.C.S members were.. not as happy with the platoon leader’s choice in allowing you to stay. Tyrell was very obvious about his lack of faith in your unwillingness to cannibalize them and informally ordered you to stick near Carlos.

Carlos didn’t mind to be honest. Though, it was a little perturbing to see the way your flesh loosely hung on in some places. He tried his best to be polite and not stare as it’d be “ungentlemanly” of him.

You served to be pretty helpful in the RPD, keeping an eye out for anything he might’ve missed (zombies or items.) You even took a few solid hits for him which may have left you a little more gory in some places over before- but Carlos just appreciated the gesture.

“So, tell me, how’d you end up like that?”

“
”

“Oh right. Can’t talk. Sorry.”

A simple nod or shake of your head was enough to satisfy any base questions he had for you– plus his quips about certain events like the locked doors kept the mood light and cheery.

It was honestly a lot of easy communication between you two- Carlos read you very well and normally a simple tug on his arm or small grunt would do the trick if he truly missed something.

Carlos did ask some weird things though-

“Can you like.. see outta the hanging eyeball?”

You didn’t really think about it before but now that you focused on it- you really couldn’t. With an experimental prod, Carlos watched in horror as you pushed it back into its socket to see that’d change anything. It didn’t but it was worth a shot.

He (somewhat disturbed, somewhat politely) asked you never do anything like that in front of him again.

Fair enough.

Chris Redfield

This entire mansion situation was completely overwhelming for Chris- everything was so out of place and nothing made sense. Grappling with the concept of zombies being a real thing, Umbrella Corp actually being tied to this goddamn place somehow and the Bravo Team being completely wiped out along with his other colleagues being God knows where was just getting too much to handle.

Maybe that's why he didn't even take a second glance at you when you rolled a flashlight next to him as he sat on the ground of the grimy hallway.

It took him a second to fully process what just happened- his eyes running over the slimy flesh of your body that looked rotten and gross. You just simply stared back at him, hollow eyes in hollow sockets waiting for a response.

“.. Hello?”

You waved back in response, watching as Chris’ face cringed as your bones cracked and popped from the movement.

“That's new. Most of your friends seem to not be interested in conversation, eh?”

Chris was pretty sure he was losing it- he knew he should be grabbing his gun and getting rid of this thing in front of him before it attacked instead of making conversation. Yet something felt different about this one.

You nodded your head slowly and made trepidatious steps towards Chris. Testing his willingness to let you near- he did move his hand near his knife, which you took as a warning and stepped back.

He looked down at the flashlight you rolled towards his side and palmed it. It was essentially a gift- and you didn't seem to want to harm him.

“Listen. I need help finding my friends. They're somewhere in this mansion. This place is just so confusing to get through- will you help me out?”

You seemed to hesitate for a second, feet lingering in place as if trying to see if it was a trap. Chris almost found it funny, the both of you unsure of the other and still needing help to get out of here in one piece.

You gave a weary nod to him before stepping closer and offering your hand to help him up.

Chris shuddered a little as he felt the bone through your frail, decaying flesh and pulled himself up with your help.

An odd duo you two made, but certainly two is better than one in this situation.

Dead By Daylight request! Survivors or Slashers reacting to a female!newbie/survivor having a way with animals. Some suggestions: Trapper, Myers, Oni, Ash, Bill, + whoever else you'd like. I hope this isn't too much!

Slashers & Survivors Reacting To An Animal Whisperer Reader.

Content Tag(s): Fluff

Paring(s): The Trapper/Evan MacMillan || The Shape/Michael Myers || The Oni/Kazan Yamaoka || Ash(ley) J. Williams || William “Bill” Overbeck || + Jake Park (x GN!Reader, Separately)

A/N: Not a big fan of this piece but it's all :,) ignore my spelling errors.

SLASHERS

The Trapper | Evan MacMillan

Evan has a cute connection with nature already. He knew a couple of the survivors could find a way around it too, but he never had one like you.

You were the new survivor that Frank had mentioned during a recent trial. He didn't think much of it, as he thought he’d only see you through a trial.

Well he was wrong.

He actually found you setting off all his traps in his realm. When you two stood, staring at each other for a couple of minutes. He noted the small little animals on your head and shoulders. The birds looking as if they were making a nest in your hair.

When you tried to make a run for it, he snatched you by the back of your shirt. Causing the animals to scatter as you tried your best to slip away. Evan wasn’t gonna allow you though. You messed with his traps, in his realm
 and you were dirty.

He forced you to bathe when he brought you to his home. Gave you some clothes he found and that was it. Did tell you not to mess with his stuff and— simple

He may or may not have made a little hangout area for you and your animal friends beside his home though
Totally didn’t make little door entrances either for any wolves or Cubs.

He totally did.

As the animals seek for him and cuddle when your out on trial. A heap of warm fur always welcoming him.

You as well when you return.

He actually had grown a big crush on you after a week or so. So he gets flustered whenever you join the cuddle pile but doesn’t dare move
if the entity takes him out of a trial during a session he’ll definitely make it quick and show no mercy to return as quickly as possible.

The Shape/Michael Myers

Honestly? He's never been so confused in his life. He doesn't- have any specific relationship with animals of any type. He prefers to stay away from them half of the time. Even the crows get on his nerves.

So imagine him when he heard a unfamiliar voice. Going to check it out because he can. Then the pure- just- confusion his body held when he saw you. A new survivor just cuddled up with a wolf.

He didn't even know they were around these areas.

Why the hell was that thing even letting you near it? Regardless use it as a bed?!

Myers could only watch from behind a tree. He knew that thing wouldn't let him nearer so he kept his distance... He was growing curious though. The way you- sunk into the fur. Was it really that comfortable?

As time passed he eventually figured out you had some sort of ability with animals. It didn't seem like you could command them to attack (they do it themselves) but just had a companionship with them.

When he was finally caught by you. He was ready to walk away as he physically cannot do anything to you without severe consequences. (He wanted to kill you because he didn't like you catching him actually being curious btw)

He didn't expect you to call out to him. He thought you were dumb too for even approaching him with a little squirrel on the top of your head.

Over time he- didn't care(?). He finds it annoying that the crows go quiet during trials with you though. Even when it's other survivors if you're in the trial they don't dare to move unless he's on his way. That being said he’ll highly tunnel you and get you sacrificed as quickly as possible. (Both because he's grown to have a soft spot for you and doesn't want to be inconvenienced. Especially in specific trials when the survivors decide to go play with the crows more than survive.)

Makes it up with a hug you ask nicely.

The Oni/Kazan Yamaoka

So envious of you.

He's a calm spirit at times (odd to say with his special abilities but trust me.)

So when he encounters you in his realm for the first time. He was ready to escort you out. Until he noticed you were meditating. A variant of these magnificent birds relaxing on your limbs and perched on stacked pebbles. One's which he could safely believe you managed to tower.

It was a nice to see.

Kazan wouldn't dare disturb you either, going off to do his daily duties as normal. He would try to sneak up a bit sometimes though, (will crawl if he really needed to) just to study you. The birds did get off his location after he staggered a bit too close; causing them to scream at him and for him to collapse face first. His heavy armor clattering with the fall.

The two of you stayed still for a couple of minutes before you carefully approached him. He is much larger than you so even your lending hand wouldn't help. But he accepted the act without much hesitation or rudeness.

From there, he got to ask you questions. There was a language barrier between the two of you at first. So he wrote his questions down instead where you would get help from the other survivors to translate then answer.

Is honestly super excited when you cover him in critters. Gets all jittery and makes small noises. One's which you could only describe as a purr(?)

Will constantly try to catch small frogs or animals around his realm to ask you about them. Then shares the facts with Spirit.

SURVIVORS

Ash(ley) J. Williams

Confused and impressed.

Doesn't really know what to think about it other then, oh neat. That's really cool.

If your are able to show him a wolf or a bear up close then that's when he gets pretty enthusiastic. Will joke about wanting to wrestle the animals— but isn't actually joking because you catch him doing such things minutes later.

Man's isn't scared to be mauled.

That you respected a bit. But that was also just a death wish in your mind.

The animals seemed to enjoy it though, so you couldn't stop him half of the time and ruin all the fun.

Ash is the guy to force anyone into a literal dog pile if possible. So expect being crushed or at least thrown on top of one from time to time.

Bill 'William' Overbeck

He thought he managed to get a special cigarette when he saw a stranger rubbing the belly of a damn bear.

When he knew he wasn't high he just believed he finally turned crazy. As you, the newbie was just petting the belly of a grizzly and the cubs were just casually clinging to your limbs.

Bill wouldn't say anything for a good time.

It wasn't his business unless it became his business.

He is a dog type of man, so if you bring a bunch of little wolf cubs he’d probably melt. He wouldn't mind falling asleep against a tree with th cubs in arms either.

You can catch him baby talking the canines too.

Will help you and the parents raise them. Both of you generally becoming grandparents to the wolves.

Jake Park

Forest man is severely jealous.

He was known to be able to at least hold a calm exterior with the crows of the realm. Which he was enjoying having. As no one else was able to do it.

Until you came along and birds, foxes, and even bigger mammals started coming around to visit you at camp.

Everyone has their own opinions on your ability but are always in awe of it.

Whenever someone would compliment you, Jake would roll his eyes and scoff. Simply stomping away like a baby. You couldn't blame him though. He was here first- and had a way with the birds before you did.

After a couple of hard weeks, he noticed you stopped bringing the animals back to camp. Only going out to them instead... He was told by Kate that you felt bad for making him feel ‘normal.’

Which made him feel bad.

He did his best to show you he wasn't mad or frustrated with you. Simply just jealous he didn't have a spirit like your own.

...Would eventually ask you to teach him your ways or at least about your fuzzy friends.

Managed to befriend a squirrel with your help and name him Sasquatch.

Ok imagine this.... force 141 meeting price twin sibling reader that's a retired captain but here's the twist they think reader is an imposter when in reality their just here to visit price and take him to his favorite restaurant for his break...

This is so old I’m sorry :,)

Protective 141 my beloved

Ok Imagine This.... Force 141 Meeting Price Twin Sibling Reader That's A Retired Captain But Here's The

“Leaving, on a jet plane..

Don’t know when I’ll be back again..”

Your soft voice cut through the music, singing along as your tires dug across the dirt road leading to the base entrance.

Your keychain swayed gently from the rear view mirror, a tiny toy soldier John had slipped into the pocket of your slacks the day you were promoted to Captain.

As much as you were at peace with retiring from your position, those small pieces of your career never seemed to disappear.

The security personnel were all smiles seeing your truck pull in, joking and teasing as they’d done for so many years. While your car was taken care of, you were lead to your brother’s office before being left to greet him. You listened through the door, only hearing the tapping of his keyboard.

BANG, BANG, BANG.

You grinned like a child when you heard a low curse and angry footsteps. The door flew open.

“You are a pest.”

“Good to see you!” You beam.

“Mhm.” He grumbled, though he guided your shoulders inside carefully.

It had been strange since you left, but just being in his office was reassuring. He told you what he could now that you weren’t in on classified info, and you told him nearly everything. The nightmares, the daydreams, the panic attacks, disassociation.

Talking to him always reminded you that even though you ached to be back in uniform, leaving was for the best.

You displaced his office decorations and spoke with him for a few hours before he hugged you goodbye tightly, reminding you that this was still a version of home, and he was here.

“Always here.” He said.

You closed his door gently, hesitating a moment to run your thumb down the groove of the door seam in thought.

“You lost?”

The voice nearly made you jump, though your years in service didn’t let you show it as you turned to see a young man in uniform, scanning you with a furrowed brow.

“Do you need assistance?” He repeated, adjusting his cap.

You blink in realization. “Oh, I’m-"

“This is a restricted area, mate.” Another voice joined the first, accompanied by an intimidating figure that had appeared from behind a corner. Not an inch of him was uncovered apart from his eyes, his build and layers making him look even more threatening. He seemed to puff up like an angry cat; amusing to your trained eye.

“John is my brother, I worked here with him before your task force transferred here.” You replied smoothly.

“Price doesn’t have siblings.” The masked soldier spoke lowly.

You smiled despite yourself. “Well, that’s news to me..”

“Need some directions?”

Another?

Your patience thinned.

“Look. I served here, he’s my brother. If you open this door, he’ll tell you.”

The first soldier eyed you suspiciously.

“Forgive me for not taking your word for it, uh..?”

“Price.” You deadpan. “My last name is Price.”

The capped soldier hummed, seemingly still off-put.

You sighed, exasperated. “Please open the door.”

“Yeah, alright.” The masked man starts toward you, and you fight the urge to skillfully escape his hold when he guides you by the shoulder back into the office.

“I hope you’re not lying..” The Scottish soldier from before murmured as you passed, and John lifted his head from his work.

“Claims to be your-”

“For Christ’s sake, release your death grip from my sibling!”

His exasperated tone makes you smile as the three soldiers flank you.ïżŒ The hand on your shoulder leaves along with a tense apology that only deepens your amusement.

“If I wasn’t, I think they did a pretty good job interrogating me.” You say lightly.

“I’m so sorry.. what’s with you lot, aye?”

He shut down the protesting of the capped and Scottish soldier with a raised hand, sighing as he brought you to face them.

“Should have thought to introduce you..”

Capped soldier was Gaz, Scot was Soap, mask was Ghost. Their apologetic shuffling of their weight made you comfortable already.

“It’s nice that you’re so..protective.”

You hoped they sensed your amusement and didn’t really think you were rattled. It would have taken a lot more than a strong arm to trip you up.

“They’re idiots.” John corrected, sitting back down.

“You served?” Ghost murmured.

“I did. I retired a few months ago.”

“You’re.. Price’s age?” Gaz’s tone was disbelieving.

“Oi.” John glowered.

“You can’t say that..” Soap nudged Gaz harshly.

“The exact same actually. Well..” You glance at John. “I am three minutes older..”

“And yet you’re the child.” John bit back.

“Why’d you never tell us you have a twin sister?” Soap gestured to you.

“Not your business?” John replied.

“Aye..” Soap rolled his eyes.

“You three should come with us for dinner.” You suggested.

John’s ‘No’ was overshadowed by the resounding enthusiasm of his task force.

“You’re supposed to be on my team.” John grumbled.

“I’m retired, John, I work alone.”

He glared at Gaz’s quiet laugh.

“7:00. We’ll be at that little run-down near the bar.”

“You’re taking them there? I thought you were family.” Ghost shifted his weight.

“Good chips.” You and John both defended the restaurant of choice at the same time.

“Oh, they’re twins for real..” Gaz murmured. “Creepy.”

“See you tonight.” You gently shoved John’s head before excusing yourself.

“See you!”

“Bye!”

“Cheers..”

When you had left the building, the three turned back to John. Soap didn’t get a chance to open his mouth before John rumbled a warning.

“If you so much as think about it, I will tear you apart.”

Are You Able To Draw Puppy Carlos From RE3 Remake? Also May You Try And Do Wolf Nikolai From RE3 Ask

Unfortunately I don't really know who Nikolai is (haven't even finished RE2 Remake... PC deleted the save now I have to play from the start ueueue)

But I know a lil bit about Carlos! sorry if it's not accurate but I thought of him as a Pitbull hybrid! Bulky and looks scary on the outside but is actually a sweetheart and very affectionate and will cling to you if it weren't for puppy Leon already doing it. I can see both of them fighting for your attention but both will reluctantly share if you look at them with disappointment.

❝ [a normal cat...] ❞

✩ oneshot : raiden x catshifter!reader

╰ ➀ fluff, gn reader, implied smut, nudity

(♡) synopsis: raiden trained in dedication at the wu shi academy and the academy's cat always seemed to follow him everywhere. He never thought much of it until one day, the cat turned out to be something else as a naked and rather extremely attractive person, sat on his lap where the cat previously was.*ੈ✩‧₊˚

a/n: Oml this was so fun to write! I hope you guys enjoy this story and yes, there's no full on descriptive smut in this so sorry hehe

 [a Normal Cat...]

àŒ‰â€§â‚ŠËšâœ§Raiden's hand ducked under the table, handing you a piece of his breakfast while the champions talked. You happily accepted it and meowed at the man which caught the attention of the others.

Johnny raised a brow. "That cat's always around, huh. Who does it even belong to?"

"Does it matter," Kenshi spoke up, clicking his tongue to catch your attention. You smiled and decided to indulge in his actions, walking over to brush your head against his hand. "What if it's just a stray who likes to wander this area? Either way, I heard the monks take care of them. Their name is Y/n, I think."

Raiden smiles, looking down at you. "Y/n seems to enjoy our company."

Kung Lao scoffs. "Yeah right! They nearly bit me yesterday, I think they like you the most Raiden."

"You think?" He says, innocent eyes gleaming as he watched you trot back to him.

The champions then continued to eat their breakfast, making sure they were ready for another day's training while you sat yourself amongst Raiden's lap. His hand would brush against you and feed you bits of food every now and then. You could say you were being selfish, taking advantage of your cat form just to get close to your crush. But it quickly ended when Liu Kang announced that training would begin. You couldn't help but glare at the god. Raiden carefully picked you up, petting your head before walking toward the training grounds. Unfortunately, as you tried to follow him out the door, Liu Kang's foot blocked your path.

"Y/n," He gave you a stern look, almost like a parent scolding their child.

"What?" You whispered back.

"It's rather immature for you to be doing this. When will you introduce yourself to them normally?"

You huff, sitting down with an obvious annoyance portrayed by your tail. "I just don't wanna, plus, Raiden won't give me as much attention as he does now."

Liu kang rolls his eyes and lifts you up. You unwillingly let him, ears tucked back. "You're just like your previous self." He sighs.

"Oh really, how was I like in the prior timeline?"

"Obsessed with Raiden and always clinging to him." He says with amusement. "I thought maybe you'd be more tame this time, but you're exactly the same."

You chuckle. "Y/n's always gotta be Y/n."

"Unfortunately." Liu Kang smiles, carrying you over to where the men were training. He held you in his arms while observing the champions stances. You felt proud watching how attentive Raiden was in his movements. He was very dedicated to his role.

"Have you decided on who earth realm's champion will be?" You ask.

Liu kang hums, his own hand brushing along your fur. "I have decided, yes. But I'd rather keep it to myself until the time arrives."

You nod in understanding, turning your gaze back to the champions, eyes glued to one in particular. He was the sweetest man you've ever laid your eyes on. You could remember clearly when Liu Kang first arrived with the initiatives and your heart thumped. It was like love at first sight and because of it, you feared of showing them your human form, especially to Raiden.

You snapped out of your thoughts noticing the orange hue of the sunset. "Has time truly passed this quickly?" You questioned to yourself.

Liu Kang then placed your small body back onto the ground. You look up to him and he tilts his head in the direction of Raiden, a small smile on his face. You stuck your tongue out at him and quickly padded your way after him.

Raiden hadn't noticed you following him, your small paws making it extremely difficult for him to hear you, but you halted your steps as you saw him turn into the path that led straight to the Wu Shi hot springs. Your mind quickly flourished with many thoughts of Raiden's physic and you suddenly felt light-headed.

"Should I follow him? Ugh I'm such a creep. What will he think if I showed him my human form? Would he still like me?!"

You cursed under your breath, tiny paws taking slow steps one after another until you arrived to the hot springs. And there he was, his chest and lower half submerged in the hot liquid. Your mouth went dry as your cat like eyes stared at him. He was completely unaware, head tilted back with his eyes shut, a small smile on his face as he let out a satisfied sigh.

You slowly approached him, knowing damn well all he had was a white little towel around his waist to cover him. Your paws dapped the water, testing the temperatures before entering. Even though it was shallow, your tiny body felt as if it were a lake. Tiny paws swishing in the water to keep you afloat.

Raiden's eyes flickered open, seeing you swimming in tiny circles. "Y/n?" He calls. "I thought cats didn't like water." He chuckles.

You meow, because what else could you possibly do without freaking him out.

He then moves forward and your brain short-circuits. "Oh lord, oh lord, his body!!!" You internally squeal. His hands wrap around your tiny frame and pulls you close to his chest and your eyes were stunned. "Why did I do this to myself!"

He cuddles you into his chest, content with relaxing in the hot springs with you, but you were having an internal war in your head. Dirty thoughts swarming and torturing your mind.

In a panic, a soft poof sound erupts out of nowhere, pink smoke enveloping the entirety of the hot springs.

Raiden coughed a little, swatting away the strange pink smoke until the place had finally cleared. He placed his hands back on what he assumed would be the cat but was met with a bare. . . human chest. His hands now on someone's waist rather than a cats.

Your eyes met his and silence filled the area aside from the noises of the nightly critters. You gulped, fear consuming you as your legs were around Raiden's thighs, hands on his shoulder. "H-hi." You say nervously.

Raiden in complete shock, trails his eyes from your head to your waist and then back up at you. Quickly, his hands fly to his sides and his eyes shut. "I'm sorry!" He yells. "Um- who are you, if you don't mind me asking?" He questions, eyes still screwed shut.

"Y/n." You say feeling awkward about the whole situation, but you couldn't bring yourself to pull away.

"T-the cat. . .?" Raiden's eyes hesitantly open back up, quickly training them to only look at your face.

You nod. "I'm friend's with Liu Kang. . . I was supposed to introduce myself when you guys got here, but I never did- properly at least."

Raiden nods his head slowly and purses his lips. He was doing everything in his power not to get a boner from the way your ass was sat atop of him, a mere white towel separating you two.

"Umm," He looks away. "It's nice to finally meet you then, Y/n."

"Yeah same. I wasn't supposed to transform just now though. . ." Your voice trails off. "Perhaps a malfunction. . .?" You whisper to yourself, brows furrowed in thought.

Your eyes quickly shoot to Raiden's as you feel his hands place themselves on your hips. He gives you a sheepish smile, before guiding you off of him and standing. "I'll get you a towel, please stay here." He bows quickly and rushes off.

You watch him, eyes looking at his ass for a bit before your palms slap your flushed face. "God, I'm such a creep!"

By the time he came back, he helped you out of the hot spring and covered you up with the towel. You noticed how he had his attire back on besides his jacket. "Here," He gestures the fabric toward you. "It's going to be cold on the way back."

Your eyes flicker between the jacket and him, gingerly taking it from his hands and draping it around you. "Thank you." You look away in embarrassment.

Raiden smiles. "We should had back, it's late."

You agree, both you and Raiden walking back toward the academy grounds. You felt a little guilty as Raiden stood out in the cold, shirtless. It was a peculiar situation, you and Raiden casting each other glances without each other knowing. Raiden had to admit that you were extremely attractive and he never thought his mind would be addled with such lovey dovey scenarios. Perhaps in his younger days, but now? He had never pondered on such things till he laid his eyes on you.

Raiden cleared his throat. "Should I walk you back to where you stay?" He asks.

"No it's okay. I'd rather you get back first, after all I'm technically of higher status. I must make sure the champions are taken care of, then I'll head back to Lord Liu Kang." You say, head turning to look at Raiden. Raiden had his brows furrowed in thought and it worried you. "Is something wrong Raiden?" You ask.

He hesitates for a moment. "I um. . . you're relationship with Lord Liu Kang. . . is it-"

"We're just close friends, nothing more. Why? Are you looking to start something?" You tease him a little, your confidence growing as you grew more comfortable in your human form.

Raiden raises his hands up in embarrassment. "No no, I mean. . . it does sound nice. You're very attractive and I- nevermind. I'm rambling, sorry."

You chuckle and notice you guys arrived to Raiden's room.

Raiden lets out a disappointed sigh. "I'll be seeing you then?" He says.

You shift in your spot, hand gripping onto his jacket. Your eyes shifting to the distance and then back to Raiden. You so badly didn't want this interaction to end, craving more time with the kind man.

"If it's not too much. Perhaps I could stay the night?" You nervously looked to him and his eyes widened.

His hand scratched the back of his neck, a creeping blush upon his features. "O-of course. You can definitely stay the night!" He says a bit more excited than he intended to.

He opens the door for you and you bow walking through. The scent of his room filling your nostrils. You smiled seeing how organized and clean it was.

"Someone knows how to take care of themselves." You give a halfhearted laugh.

Raiden chuckles. "I try, afterall I'm just a guest here."

You hum, sitting yourself on his bed. You were going to unzip Raiden’s jacket but halted, realizing that all you had was a towel to cover yourself without it. Raiden seemed to notice your concern and blinked in thought. "Sorry, maybe we didn't think-"

You were quick to cut him off, raising a hand to silence him. "It's okay. . .if you're okay with it. . ."

Raiden gulps. "I uh, yeah. I'm okay with it." He says, eyes watching how you began to strip yourself to nothing. And boy did Raiden keel over at the sight. You smirked and gestured your head to him, waiting for him to shed his clothing too.

By the time both you and Raiden settled on the bed, it was evident that it was not going to be a simple sleepover. Your body quickly going over his. “I might be selfish, but I don’t think I wanna just sleep here.” You whisper, ghosting your lips over Raiden’s. Your hand trailing up his arm to his neck.

Raiden’s eyes looked down at your lips, eyes now half-lidded, his breath becoming more heavy at the sexual tension. “I don’t think I just want to sleep either.” He says, hands massaging the sides of your body, his hardened dick swelling with need.

And your lips were on each other, hands passionately exploring each other's bodies throughout the night. The room was filled with the sounds of passionate sex, two lovers eager to discover more about each other and please each other beyond words as the night went on.

However, the next morning was extremely hectic as Raiden was swarmed with questions on what he did last night- hickeys littering his neck and collarbone.

Liu Kang slowly turned his head to you in your cat form with the biggest smirk a cat could ever have.

"Y/n." He calls your name in a serious tone.

"Yeahhh???" :3

hi i love your work so much omg

what do you think of the scenario of monster!141 x (platonic, if you want, it’s probably for the better) reader that’s made up of thousands of worms/spiders/or whatever creatures. reader is always covered up in clothes that cover up the entire ‘skin’ and they speak extremely weirdly/like everything’s speaking all at once and the voice is just sounding from the mouth but also in the torso? and legs? . the thing is that reader is shy or something and doesn’t want to admit that they’re just a hive mind of creatures, but it’s just kinda obvious not really (well obvious to monster 141). 141 doesn’t really want to comment on it because they’re just nice like that and find ways to help Reader get through some situations lmao (help i’m sleep deprived and i made this thought in 3 AM ish).

i give you a piece of 🧀

Hi I Love Your Work So Much Omg

Pairing: Platonic Monster 141 + König & Horangi x monster!reader

Cw: spiders, blood, military inaccuracies, canon-typical violence, cannibalism? Eating human, hive mind monster, tell me if I missed any. Wc: 2.9k (A/N): I’m gonna be honest with y’a, I went on a spree and completely forgot what you first asked for but uh
I used some of your ideas and I hope it’s apparent enough?

Hi I Love Your Work So Much Omg

For someone as decorated as you were, you were awfully timid, shying from human and hybrid interaction like a plague. Perhaps it was unintentional, the stiffness in your shoulders or the constant coverage, but to the world around you, you were nothing but an awkward person whose social cues were lost to time after more than a decade in the force. Starting your days covered head to toe, black over more black, or khaki and brown over more khaki and brown depending on the situation of your stay and deployment.

Despite your social anxiety, your voice stayed strong and unwavering in the field, a cold, monotone voice that would coordinate the team if needed —you were a prolific intelligence specialist, that found your calling in intelligence gathering from the deepest and darkest pits, and an infiltration specialist that was sought out for your proficiency and successful operations worldwide, especially the undercover Ops done in secrecy. You’ve led a few clandestine Ops with Laswell for 141, the Station Chief letting you lead and direct them, trusting your insights and they always resulted in successful missions, coming back bruised and battered but alive and securing the cargo (or whatever they were sent there for).

That meant that they knew you, your voice, your confident tone when you directed them, your unwavering decisions and your helpful guidance, but they hadn’t seen you until a few months ago. You were officially assigned to Task Force 141 as their Intelligence and Infiltration specialist, working on and off. This would be the first time you actively moved to the front, standing beside them during infiltrations, slipping into the enemy base with efficiency and silence. You moved as if you were a part of the shadows, melting into the darkness and disappearing from any camera and scans, your body invincible to infrared cameras or heat sensors.

You moved with fluid motions, your body incredibly - scarily - flexible and seemingly aware of everything around you. To humans, you were probably the most skillful and abnormal human, born with talents that far rivalled those of hybrids, and a saviour to some for being able to keep them alive even through the hardest moments of their capture; but to monsters, to hybrids, you were special, a different type of creature that held a different category in the classes, one that humans knew little outside of the government and military.

Whereas humans saw you as a stiff and socially awkward human that covered their whole body, TF141 knew better, they could sense it a mile away, the difference in you, the odd aura and smell you projected. Soap and König had mentioned it in the past, in the bustling Mess hall where they shared a table, Soap had noted that you smelled off, of something dead yet alive and König only brought the oddness of you holding thousands of different scents, musks that didn’t originate from one place, but from around the world.

Gaz and Horangi gave off-handed comments about sudden movement under your clothes, a slight - near invisible - ripple under your neck or on your arm, their eyes zoning to the smallest of movements. Gaz brought it up first, his voice hesitant and confused, frowning down at his plate when he mentioned it to the others, only to feel reassured that he wasn’t imagining it, the small ripple that no one else perceived, when Horangi shared his own observations. Horangi had seen small black spots moving over your shirt and under the tight mask hiding your face, tiny-legged creatures climbing over you and vanishing under your clothes as if they were never there.

Rudy was the best at understanding people, sympathising with both monsters and humans, but you just seemed lost, a shy creature that always hid from others when you weren’t needed. He and Alejandro remembered when they spoke to you after an Op, catching up to you before you fled to hide in your room, your tone was soft and shy, but it seemed to come from everywhere, never staying in one place as if there wasn’t a source to your voice. One moment your voice would come from your face, and then the next, it’d be down your abdomen, every word you spoke came out of a different area, but your chin never moved, face still and unmoving.

They brought it up to Ghost, who’d sit with them at their table, pushed against the wall for privacy around human soldiers, since he - leaving out Price - knew you best, having worked with you a few times in the past where they needed your expertise in infiltration and hostage securing. They had hoped that Ghost could give them a few insights on you, whether it be about your kind or your uniqueness, they wanted something - anything - to quell their growing curiosity. Not only was Ghost one of their only sources of information, but he was also a paranoid one, always demanding an operator's file before and after they joined, his mind going through loops to calculate the danger of the new addition. Ghost was a guarded and walled-up character, ensuring that they wouldn’t betray him in the long run.

Unfortunately, Ghost knew as little as they did, Price was stricter with your information, keeping it under a hard lock and key. Only he and Laswell held information about you, your little quirks and details were a secret to anyone who wasn’t in the higher-ranked stations or the commanding rank and station chief. They had nothing to go on but theories, little hypothesis until Price or Laswell - whichever caved first to their incessant pleading - disclosed your personal file. So they did what they could with their observations, combining up with different monsters they’ve crossed paths with. You could’ve been one of those crossbred hybrids where they coupled for specific perks, or an experiment, seeing that you had an aversion to physical touch and human interactions. The least possible one, by far, was that you were an Eldritch being, a creature of horror and madness.

“Classified for now, sergeant,” was all Price had told Soap when he cracked, his puppy-like excitement getting the best of him. “You’ll have to ask them, yeah?”

That left them with little to no choice but to watch you more closely, to observe their surroundings for any clues and to note anything bizarre since they couldn’t necessarily outright ask you. You fled seconds after anyone tried to start a conversation, head down and feet moving too swiftly to not seem like you were avoiding them or any long discussion as if you knew what they were planning. You seemed to have eyes at the back of your head, reacting instantly when one of them would follow you wherever you went, slinking from one shadow to the other, trying their best to hide from your sight and sense, but you were an expert in your own right, knowing and aware of undercover tactics when one was used against you.

Fortunately for them, other clues helped, subtle signs that most people wouldn’t even catch. The first one was small, jerky spiders that weren’t local to the UK or any continent, they weren’t like any arachnid they’d ever found, that was the first thing they noticed when they came across one, but the true challenge was to catch one of those pesky things. They were quick and small, evading them as if they had a mind of their own, their bites painful if one of them tried to grab it with a hand, the tiny fangs piercing through the thick material of their gloves, but once Soap got his paws on one, he made sure to keep it in the glass container. The spider was small, its exoskeleton so dark that it seemed to swallow any light rather than reflect it, a shade of black so black that it didn’t let any colours out. It didn’t look hairy, the shell so smooth and spotless that it seemed like two circles if they ignored the scrawny legs.

Those spiders were almost everywhere, yet they went unnoticed by the people walking around the base and them until now. Other than the spiders, your aversion to physical contact and socialising, and favouring your privacy much more than anyone on the TF. You didn’t eat with them —you never seemed to eat at all. Your voice moved so often that the possibility of you having many mouths came to mind a lot. Your body was extremely nimble, bending in odd - sometimes painful for others - ways. Over other observations, everything they took notice of you were things that were inhuman, it made you a minority in the military - much like them - and a mystery to your team.

They went on for months, unbothered that they might have seemed slightly obsessive, a stalker following his obsession. They weren’t worried about others calling them out, humans would chalk it up to monster stuff with a sneer and look the other way when Ghost or König glared at them. That didn’t escape you, Price or even Laswell’s eyes and ears around the world.

“You boys don’t know when to stop, hmm?” Price wore a frown, brows cocked questioningly. His tone was one of a tired and relenting to their months-long search. “You’re lucky they weren’t mad about this.”

“So you’ll tell us, boss?” Ghost hid his excitement better than the rest, his chest rumbling lowly and eyes narrowed darkly, but not with a dangerous gleam.

“Better if you see it yourself,” he sighed, crossing his arms, hunching against his chair, lip quirking at a corner. It was a cheeky lopsided smile, teasing them with having to wait longer. “It’s hard to explain in words. It’s quite the sight.”

And a sight it was! Watching you melt to the ground, your body scattering in thousands of small spiders that moved towards the body lying before you. You’d been paired with Ghost and Soap for this Op, leading them down a path you knew didn’t have any hostiles, getting intel back from the many spiders scattered around the area. They were the first to watch you eat, arachnids swallowing up the bodies, devouring them at record speed. You ate flesh and bones, ligaments and tendons melted by your acidic bite that only left clothes behind as an indication that someone died here. They were the lucky ones to see you eat, to bear witness to your monstrosity in the flesh and your moment of weakness where you had to sustain yourself, shedding off the shape of a human body.

It left Soap filled with awe, seeing you break away in thousands of individual bodies and come back together as one, and Ghost’s mind strewed with questions, some answered when you told them that you were self-conscious, a hive mind made up of spiders to form a body. You weren’t hiding away because you were afraid of them or that you hated socialising, you were simply too self-aware of your making, of the natural fear of eight-legged creatures. So you hid, shying away from people, thinking that they’d hate you for being what you were, a colony of undocumented spiders working as one.

Horangi, Rudy and Alejandro caught you in action on the second covert operation when you were given the signal to lead your small squad into enemy lines. They watched the clothes you wore ripple, little critters bulging out from under your protective gear and rolling down your body in waves, black masses dropping off and separating. You were spread around the place, everyone acting as an extension of your mind and body, and they were —thousands of spiders sharing one mind. You shrank lightly, your body mass lower than it was with your body spanned across the area, working as your eyes and ears from afar like cameras worked for Laswell, except that your reach was farther and more potent.

It was expected, but not less surprising to the three, watching your body shorten and little spiders crawl all over you. It would’ve made the hardiest monster shudder in fear or repulsion, feeling hundreds of legs moving about over their body, it would’ve made them slightly apprehensive, knowing from Soap and Ghost that your bite could be acidic, melting tough muscle and robust bone. It made more sense as to why you were so nimble and so observant, you had parts of yourself scattered around, working to map out everything and see everything. You were what made you so sought after for your skills in clandestine missions and covert infiltrations, it was scarily inspiring.

Gaz and König were the unlucky ones, being in the wrong place at the wrong time to see you “die”. With how unlucky his streak with helicopters was, it wasn’t a surprise that he was falling from another one, his wing bleeding from a bullet wound, the copper piercing through the meat and grazing the bone. It had him handicapped for the next few missions, staying on base until it healed completely unless he wanted to cause a bigger issue with his third pair of limbs. You were medevaced, watching Gaz grunt and groan, holding his wounded wing against his chest with a face screwed in pain. He’d been in an unfortunate situation, being purposely targeted by the enemy, and the situation couldn’t get any worse.

The helicopter was shot down, and the flares deployed too late to stop the missile. It was a fiery mess, there was screaming and the loud crack of metal breaking, you could hear Laswell yell out in the coms, her worried and frantic voice trying to reach you and Gaz in the falling blaze. Most harpies feared fire, the flames burning their feathers and scarring the skin, making it impossible to regrow feathers on some rare occurrences. Gaz couldn’t remember much after the fall, waking up in pitch darkness, his skin crawling with shivers and invisible hands. He couldn’t make out left from right, he didn’t know if he was lying face down or on his back, and he wasn’t even sure he was conscious, seeing that all he could see was black. Then he felt sudden movement, a prickly sensation covering his body until light broke through.

He could feel his arms and his legs, he could stretch his wing out when he sat up, he wasn’t burned or hurt more than what he had before the crash, but he couldn’t see you when he looked around. He palmed the ground, feeling around the rough floor for you, your small, black spiders. You were on and around him, slowly climbing off him and flocking to a large mass. Your clothes were gone, burned to ashes in the mess while you shielded him, taking the brunt of the heat and burns. He swallowed down the quake that wracked his body and rushed to you, frantic to see whether or not you were in pain. Rather than forming back into a human, your appearance resembles more of a large mammal on four, clawed legs. Seeing that you were fine - or so he thought - he called back for evac, getting cover with your prone figure guarding him until the other helicopter and support came back.

König’s accident was more vicious than Gaz’s, losing control of his urges, letting himself shift and rampage through the area, ripping apart both enemy and ally. You were another body in his path, his claws tearing through your chest with sharp, bloodied hands. The others panicked, watching you scatter into pieces, falling apart from the seams as if someone had pulled out the only string that held you together. Instead of blood and guts, intestines that should’ve called out in a bloody mess, you broke apart, some fell to the ground, crushed under König’s weight, and others clung to him, swarming to stop him before he caused more chaos.

It looked like a futile attempt from outside viewpoints, watching the beast stumble blindly, his face covered, your thousand pairs of legs locked to keep his mouth closed from causing more harm to others with his serrated teeth made to gnaw through bone and break flesh and muscle to consume and feed his big appetite. They could only stare at König trash around, limbs slowly being locked together, bounding his arms from flailing and slashing at people and his leg from blindly ambling and rushing towards his next victim. You rippled around König, a mass becoming a full-body restraint containing the hybrid’s grunts and growls, unmoving and unrelenting against him.

You kept König’s rampage in check, keeping him contained while they moved both you and him to the aircraft and back to base where they could wait out the shift, the burst of rage in the hybrid. Gaz had thrown you a bundle of clothes after König fell asleep, you slipped off and crawled to your clothes, reappearing in a human shape under all your protective layers. Although they knew you could take extensive damage and survive unscathed, they still worried, would your strength still held together with a chaotic mix of human resilience and percht invulnerability.

You seemed to have let yourself go a bit, letting Soap or Gaz drag you around the base, letting Rudy and Alejandro strike up a conversation, letting Ghost or König sit with you in silence, and letting Horangi get the jump on you and follow you soundlessly because he was curious (and answering his questions). You might not eat with them, but you swallowed down your fright and agreed to sit at their table while they ate, digging into their preferred meal and occasionally replying to their friendly banter. You were still nervous about spending so much time in public, the looming fear of being faced with disgust from your allies was still possible, but you - with the supporting pat on the shoulder from Price - worked through your storming thoughts and insecurities.
