Summary- Reader has been with the Chrisâ squad for 2 years now and Chris is slowly loosing control over her. He is so touch starved that he canât help but find himself touching her in the middle of their workout sessions.
The desire to belong somewhere. To be ruled by someone, to put order in your life, to help people or in other words , to save the world. This is something you had seen and wanted from your father since you were little. But the most important was the trauma you went through. Your mother died when you were very young, and you were so enamored of your father that saving people like him was just amazing for you to wear the gorgeous matte and black yet stylish outfits he wore. After your father died in an office where he served, all you had left of him was to do the things he did, which was actually what you wanted since you were little.
Your father worked in many places, but he was not always successful. Either he was fired or his life was put at great risk, as in the last assignment. You didn't stay in one place too long because you didn't want the same thing to happen to you. But you finally found the place where you wanted to stop.  The day you went on vacation with your friends was like a dungeon again. People were running around, shouting and not stopping. At that moment, you remembered what your father did. What you wanted. That's when it hit you. Now was your turn.
After you let the people calm down for a while, you took them to a safe place, and a few hours later , the supervisiors arrived, which you would have never guessed would change your life. The friendliest of them all, Emily, codename Tundra, worked hard to get you into the Hound Wolf Squad. Apparently their leader didn't immediately fully trust a person, but the others in the group instantly warmed up to you and formally begged their leader - Chris - to join the group.  You were content with a few things you got from your father, although you didn't have much ingenuity. You were someone who knew how to use a gun, how to use a knife, and how to be serious when appropriate. Chris was looking for just such a person. Although the man couldn't quite make up his mind right away, he eventually gave up and after a little practice, he realized that you were reliable and recruited you to his team.
Your courage, your reliability, your seriousness when appropriate, your funny jokes, your beauty seemed to had fascinated him. He never told you that he noticed these in you, but even though the serious expression on his face was hanging on, you could notice that those eyes were shining when he looked at you.
You had another exercise that day, and you rushed out of your dorm room so you wouldn't be late. Frankly, you were a little afraid of Chris. Maybe there was a soft disposition under his angry expression, but still you tried your best. The man's gaze on you was too obvious to ignore. Sometimes you wondered if the others were noticing it, too. You wanted to ask Emily this, but you thought it wouldn't be appropriate, so you dismissed the idea.
âY/N focus. â You were snapped out of your thoughts by Chris' harsh tone and immediately shook yourself off and continued your workout. You had to work even harder that day because you were going on a new missions a few days later. Chris said that this task was not easy at all, and he emphatically recommended that you renew your energy. As if that was very possible because of him.  âYes, sir. I'm sorry. â
You had decided to warm up a bit before moving on to another exercise machine. After completing your warm-up by taking deep breaths, you went to the dumbbells and took the one that suits you.  â You have to take it right, Y/N or you'll hurt yourself. âAs Chris spoke, you lifted your face from the dumbbell and looked at the man in front of you. Sometimes you wanted to erase that knowledgable expression on his face, and sometimes you would curse yourself for helping you and thinking about it. The man just wanted to help. He was helping you the most, or that was another matter, of course.
â Here, let me show you. Bend down on a squat position. â You did what he said. He took the dumbbells in his hand without any difficulty and went behind you and stretched your arms to both sides. âJust take one, now. â You staggered with the weight of the dumbbell in your hand, but you managed to stay stable again. â Now this one. â When you took them both in your hands and stretched  out in front of you, he hit you on the shoulder. He stepped forward to see how you were doing.  This was a position that you struggled with, but did not stop working in even though you were struggling. It might had looked easy when Chris was doing it, but it wasn't easy when you were doing it. Gritting your teeth, you pulled the dumbbells up. You suddenly threw the dumbbell to the ground and groaned in pain, as the pain came from the muscle in your right arm. â You haven't fully healed, huh? What did I tell you, Y/N? I told you- â â You told me to do this one after I healed completely, sir. Yeah I know. I'm sorry. â
â Stop saying sorry and drop it. You can do it another time. â You nooded your head and slowly lowered the dumbbell in your other hand to the floor, not like the other one. Since you injured your right arm in the last mission, your arm was continuing to hurt and cramps excruciatingly. You, on the other hand, continued without heeding it, but this did not escape the leader's notice. Nothing escaped his notice.
â Come here. I'll show you what else you can do. âAfter following him into the middle of the room you pulled back a little when you saw him picking up his boxing gloves. How did he expect you to hit him? After he handed you the gloves, he slipped the thick sheets over his fingers and clapped hands together. â Since you're sensitive on your right hand, I figured you might do something like this. It's just a practice to see how you're doing with it in case something happens on a mission. You can get wounded or worse. â He was right, but you've never hit a big body like him until now.
â How is she even supposed to hit you, boss? You're basically a rock. â You and the other members laughed at this thing from your team, but Chris just rolled his eyes. â You keep going, Y/N. âÂ
You took a deep breath and took one last look at the burly man in front of you and swung your solid arm at him. When he pulled back, it caused you to stumble forward. You did not give up and continued. Every time you swung an arm, he would either back off or let you hit him. That stupid grin on his face never ceased. You already knew you had done something wrong the last time you swung your arm at him because instead of hitting his arm, your arm was somehow aiming for his nose. The man staggered back in pain and dropped the sheets he was holding onto the floor, clutching his nose.  The other members were not alarmed at all, smiling at you, watching with curiosity what would be his next step. They had a reason to laugh. They knew their leader very well.
â S-Sir I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- â Before you could even get close to him and see what's wrong, he grabbed your waist and pulled you towards him, quickly laying you down hard. The members' laughter sounded from his side. Again, you managed to be disgraced in front of Alpha. Once again, you realized that it was difficult to beat him. You groaned in pain as you fell hard to the ground, and you tried to get up, but you couldn't succeed. Chris came to your head and bowed.
â Don't ever let your guard down, girl, understand? â You looked angrily and took his outstretched hand, letting him lift you. But he didn't know you had a game too. When he least expected it, you moved your elbow to the most sensitive part of his stomach. He pulled back and squirmed so you quickly jumped on top of him and sat on his stomach. You didn't actually plan this now. It had been your dream for a long time to knock the man down. Knock him down, sit on him, and touch his shield swelling. It was something that would have been the last if no one had been there at that very moment.  â I'm sorry, Chris but I had to. â You snickered, winked. Just as you were about to get up, he grabbed your waist and knocked you down again with the same intensity as he had just done. He didn't hold his arms on you, put them on either side of you and tried to get support from there. â Sorry, Y/N but I had to. âHe never knew the effect hehad on you. How much you wanted to touch him, to take his face in your hands and press your lips to his.
If there was one thing you didn't know, it was that Chris felt the same way. The man hadn't interfered with you much until now, his hands were always at his sides, either waiting for you to touch him or just standing there doing nothing.  You couldn't help but stare when you saw how his swelling was swelling up when he was on top of you. It was noticeable, you had to admit.  He got up without saying a word and quickly walked out the exit door. The door slammed shut behind him and you just stood there and watched him go.
âWell, that was weird. â said Emily. She came up to you and grabbed you by the arms. After thanking her, you decided to leave the room and take a shower. This gravitational pull between you had suffocated you enough and you needed some relief.
You entered the shower area of ââthe room and slowly began to take off your clothes. Your face was still red from the fact that you were facing Chris. The pain between your legs wasn't helping much either. Even if you tried to erase that moment from your mind, you could not succeed. His muscular body above you made you let go. Touching those muscles, his body and kissing him madly.  You jumped when the door suddenly opened. When you turned around naked, you saw Alpha standing there with her dick swollen and his eyes wide. You took a step back and stopped. He walked slowly towards you, didn't say anything, just grabbed your waist and pressed you against him. You could now feel the cock between your legs.
â Do you even realize what you do to me? â he said at last. You shook your head no, waiting for him to speak. â I've been waiting for you to come to me, to touch me. Oh yeah I've waited for you for so long. â When you heard what the Leader said, you couldn't believe it. You didn't want to believe it. All this time, you had always been chasing him, doing what he wanted, being at his disposal, and didn't you realize that he wanted you? â You didn't give me sign. I- " " I didn't give you a sign? Here.â He took your hand in his big ones and brought it to his swelling. â Isn't that enough for you? â
 â C-Chris, I don't know what to say. â
â Don't say anything, baby. Just let me touch you. Please â The man closed his eyes in pain. He wanted you to touch him so much that he almost exploded there. No, you were never idle to your leader. Someone would have to be a fool not to see his charm. You did everything in your power to make him appreciate you, to praise you. You knew that when he praised you, the twitching and the pain between your legs increased. You've wanted him for a long time.
â I've waited for you too, Sir. â He chuckled and placed a kiss on your forehead. You brought your hand, still above the swelling, up a little and lowered the zipper. You knelt down and unfastened his belt in slow motions, as if tormenting him. You couldn't believe your eyes when you eagerly pulled down his pants with his boxer. It was bigger than you thought. â Take it like a good girl, Y/N. come on. â You nodded and brought your hands to his cock and picked it up. How big it was in your little hands, and it was so swollen.
You put your mouth to the tip, started sucking, and occasionally gave small kisses. When you felt ready, you opened your mouth and took it in your mouth.  The veins on his cock that was in your mouth were pulsing and he was almost begging to come.
â Oh shit. Yes Y/N , keep going. That's a good girl. â You groaned against it without removing the bigness inside your mouth. The vibration just hit his dick and he snarled. â Fuck doll, you're doing so good for me. â You didn't take your mouth off him once. You continued to suck. The saliva that accumulated in your mouth began to flow down your chin and bother you. You didn't care. You sighed and took a deep breath when you knew from the trembling legs that Chris was going to ejaculate. Chris pulled the wet hair out of your way.
â Come here, little one. Let me pleasure you. âYou stood up and let Chris pick you up and sit you on the sink. â Do you allow me? â You nodded, but that wasn't enough for Chris. âSpeak up, girl. Let me hear you. â âY-Yes sir. Please touch me. â He pulled his trousers down, took it off at his ankles, and threw it across a room. â Ass up. â You watched with great impatience as you lifted your hips a little higher and pulled off your panties. You needed those fingers right in that moment. You brought your hands to his and pressed into your warmth. âPlease Sir. â
 â Please what, Y/N? â
â Please touch me sir. â
âWhat's my name, little one? come on. You can do better than Sir. I know it â  Even though there were many names you made up for him, you knew a name that suited him very well. It was a name that portrayed his dominance. â Please daddy. Please touch me daddy, please. He pressed his lips to yours, leaned over and unable wait any longer. His kiss wasn't soft, but rather hasty and sensual, as if he was now taking his pain out because he hadn't touched you in a long time.
He held his middle finger right to your hole. You pushed your hips up against him, as if wanting more. â Shhh baby. It's okay. Be patient. â No, you couldn't be patient. You couldn't be patient with that man's finger right in your hole. You wanted more, so you were impatient. You wanted him too much. insanely. â No daddy please, I want it now. â you said, pursing your lips. Chris let out a curse under his breath and slowly inserted his finger, afraid to hurt you. He was so different from the other men that his fingers were huge, almost filling you. But he knew you couldn't be satisfied with just one finger.  Your moans increased as he started move his finger back and forth, and you turned your head towards the chest of the big man who was now right next to you. You laid your head on him. Your hands did not stay in one place. Going a little further, poking his muscles from under his shirt, you lifted his shirt halfway up and planted kisses.
 âDaddy I'm gonna cum. â
âGo on baby. Cum for me. Cum for daddy. â You came hard after those sexy and flattering words. Chris took his fingers away from you, brought them directly to his cock, pumped a little, then rubbed up and down your clit to prepare you. It felt so good that you closed your eyes and focused only on the moment. â Open your eyes and look at me. â You have opened your eyes to your command. You looked down and realized that Chris was right in your hole, trying to get inside. He didn't need to be so gentle. You wanted him to break you.  â C-Chris please. Don't tease me. âAs you said that, he rushed inside of you, you both groaned at the same time and threw your head back. He placed kisses on your open neck and moved towards your mouth, pressing his lips to yours. Although his tides were slow at first, he later began to increase his speed.
â You're so tight, babygirl. But your pussy was totally made for me, right? You're daddy's girl, right baby. â You nodded enthusiastically. The man's size was better than you had imagined, it felt better. You were ecstatic, and the only sound in the room could be your bodies colliding, your moans, and the occasional growls of Chris. You were getting horny with his voice.
â Are you close, little one? Yeah you're close. I know babygirl. You're doing so good. â
You were delirious with pleasure as he praised you. You brought your hands behind his hips, causing him to press himself harder on you. Chris must have realized this because he sped up even faster, pushing himself back even further and quickly reentering. While he was continuing this, it was very soon for both of you to have your orgasms.Â
â I'm close. Are you? â he asked breathlessly. âYes Sir I'm about to cum. Please make me cum. â He came out one last time, shoved it back in, then groaned loudly. You both ejaculated at the same time. He poured his milk into you and came out. Despite you being terribly sweaty, he pressed his forehead to yours to breathe, placing his hands on your hips and staying like that for a while, until a door knock.Â
âHey Y/N, you there? We have to talk. âAfter hearing the voice, you broke up immediately. With your legs trembling, you put on your sweaty clothes that you had taken off to take a shower, albeit with difficulty, and turned to Chris. â SoâŠâ
â I was serious of what I had said earlier, Y/N. I really wanted you and I want you. â  â I know. I want you too, Chris. â He laughed and after kissing your lips for the last time, he stepped into one of the shower stalls and watched you leave.
Yes, Chris really wanted you for a long time, and seeing you and not being able to touch you was making him horny. Every time he looked at you, ignoring that swelling caused him to curse himself. It was too bad for him to be on the same team and not be able to declare his love for you, but now he knew that at least you wanted him. The feelings were mutual.
With a sigh of relief, he eft the room and entered the men's shower area. He was stunned by what he saw.
â Well Captain. Looks like you have a thing for that girl after all, huh? â
Daddy. Sir. I wanna touch his beard so badly.

Leon Kennedy in RESIDENT EVIL: VENDETTA (2017)
im just thinking how re4 leon would hold me in his arms and play with my hair i miss him
Oh, you and me both anon. Just imagine him, a big strong man like that just cradling you in his arms against his chest.
When Leon gets the chance to lounge and do nothing, heâll take up the couch, laying his entire body across the length of it. He puts his head on one of the pillows, throws an arm over his head, and closes his eyes. He takes in a breath or two, releasing a deep heavy sigh as he feels himself relax.
His ears perk up when he hears your footsteps coming towards him, not giving you a moment to say what you want before he raises his arms and flexes his fingers in a come hither motion.
You waltz over to him, placing your body on top of his and your head going into the curve of his neck, breathing in the hints of lavender and tobacco that were part of his natural scent. Big arms wrapped around you, giving you a gentle squeeze as his head leans against your own. Keeping you pressed to his body, one of his hands went up to your scalp, running his fingers through your hair and massaging your head gently. He could almost feel you purr at the touch, a gentle thrum going through your chest as you dig in closer to him and feel his heart beating underneath you.
Usually, he would be the one looking to you for comfort, enjoying the feeling of you caressing him in a way that he used to only pray for. But this, having you in his arms any chance he could get, he wouldnât change that for the world. You didn't know how a man like him whoâs seen horrors unimaginable, would be able to touch you so gently like you were his porcelain doll to love and cherish.
He gave you a soft kiss on your forehead before giving you another on your cheek, hearing the giggle that slipped past your lips when he did that. You were comfortable with him, despite being built like a brick his skin was soft and warm, like your own mobile furnace.
He felt like home.
You both stayed there on the couch, resting together and basking in the intimacy of the moment for as long as you could. Being each otherâs solace, there was no other perfect description for what you both shared.
family: âwhy are you just sitting in ur room smiling at ur phone?â

Kiss Me More !
( Death Island!Leon x GN!reader || clingy bf teases u with his stubble ⥠)

âAw, c'mon pretty baby, you don't like it when I do this?â Leon teases you, big arms wrapped around your torso to keep you in place. His stubble against your neck, you squirm in place, trying to get out of his hold.
The more you moved, the more his stubble tickled against your neck, sending prickly tickling sensations down your skin. Which makes you whine. âUh uh babe, you're not going anywhere.â He tuts, keeping you in place even more. He peppers your neck in kisses, his lips lingering against your skin longer than usual. He missed you a lot. Missed kissing your pretty face, missed the way you giggled when his stubble scratched against your cheek, the whole nine yards.
His lips travel up your skin, Leon stops at your cheek. âMissed you so much, babe. You know that?â He says into your warmth, soaking it up the best he could with his own.

leon and his partner usually avoid touching around people in the beginning of leon's career in the dso. leon felt like he always had to impress people so he push away touches... and he loves touches. but later in life, as chris scolds leon, he is hugging his partner from the back with his eyes looking at him. leon isn't a kisser in public but he will play with his partner's knuckles. his finger will go up and down as he pretends to listen to people talking.
he rather lay all day in bed with their lover, they help him to stop drinking as much as he wants to. they have small pillow fights and leon... he is a huge of being pinned down by his partner. but he is so gentle, he just wants to hold you tightly and kisses your neck. he likes it when you put your fingers on his belt loops as you two walk. leon loves being held and appreciated, he loves it when you touch his face and push his hair back.
he craves being in a stable relationship where the couple are best friends. why would he be in a relationship with someone who doesn't want to rot with him? he likes how people didn't expect him and his partner are dating because they aren't very 'romantically' touchy in public.
when you two lay in bed, leon is big spoon, he nuzzles against you and kisses your back. he kisses you as if were the last kisses... as if he didn't do it right.
blue christmas; leĂłn kennedy

featuring. leon kennedy x fem!reader
synopsis. youâll have a blue christmas without leon, or will you?
warnings. minor angst, mostly fluff. also my first leon fic! (iâm terrified)

once again, it was christmas time, a season meant for cherished togetherness. the air was supposed to be filled with the warmth of loved ones, snuggled in front of a crackling fire, adorning the tree together, relishing in the joy of classic christmas movies, and immersing themselves in the enchanting spirit of the holidays.
but for you, that idyllic scene remained elusiveâsomething you never quite experienced when dating an agent.
leon, your boyfriend, was constantly thrown into classified missions, shrouded in secrecy. there were times he couldn't even disclose the nature of his work, which meant you were well aware that a festive christmas break wasn't likely to be granted amidst his tireless efforts of dismantling organizations and gathering crucial intelligence.
during moments like these, you sought solace in solitude, confronting your sadness directly. you declined all invitations for plans during the final week leading up to christmas. a glimmer of hope remained that he would be present, and you wanted to ensure ample time to be with him. however, a sense of unease lingered, drawing you to want you to reject the idea of spending the holiday with anyone other than him and your family.
with a heavy sigh, you reluctantly left your warm bed, resigning yourself to the familiar routine of tending to daily errands and tidying up the house. nestling into the couch, you absentmindedly flipped through the channels, the repetitive christmas movies playing for the fifth time that week. then, a buzzing sound breaks the monotonous atmosphere.
your heart leaped with joy as you saw exactly who was calling. it was leon.
his calls were infrequent during his missions, making each one a precious and treasured moment. you never knew when you would get to hear his voice again, so you answered eagerly, your giddy anticipation evident in your high-pitched voice as you called out, "leon?" through the speaker.
"hey there, beautiful," leon's voice comes through the speaker, warm and familiar. "i hope i didn't catch you at a bad time."
a radiant smile illuminated your face as you responded, "no, not at all. there's not much to do anywhere with this snowstorm anyway." your gaze drifted towards the window, captivated by the swirling white fog gliding over the water, the snowflakes dancing amidst the relentless gusts of wind, their delicate forms adhering to the windowpane. "iâm about to binge another round of christmas movies," you added, a touch of wistfulness in your voice. "so, what's on your mind, leon?"
there's a slight pause on the other end, and you can almost hear him hesitating before he speaks again. "listen, i know it's christmas eve and all, and i hate that i can't be there with you. but this mission... itâs longer than i expected."
your heart sinks at his words, disappointment flooding your system. this was the same story every year, but it still hurt to hear it. "oh, leon," you say, trying to hide the disappointment in your tone. you were always polite with your sadness, like a little kid not wanting to deliver bad news, you didnât want to ruin him because of yourself. "i was really looking forward to spending christmas with you. but i understand, duty calls, right?"
there's a tinge of sadness in his voice as he responds, "yeah, duty calls. i promise i'll make it up to you when i get back. we'll have our own little belated christmas celebration, just the two of us."
you can't help but let out a small chuckle. "you better make it a good one, kennedy. maybe i'll even let you take over the cooking for once," you tease, trying to lighten the mood.
leon's laughter comes through the phone, and you can almost picture the playful smile on his face. "deal. just don't expect anything gourmet, okay?"
as you two continue your conversation, your disappointment slowly fades away. even though you won't have him physically by your side for christmas, knowing that he's safe and that youâll have your own celebration when he returns brings you comfort. and in the end, that's all that matters.
that was the mindset you had to haveâenjoy the moments you have with him, even when it seems to be few.
you giggled at his joke. âyâknow for an italian, arenât you supposed to know how to cook? kinda embarrassing if you ask me,â you tease, snuggling yourself into the blanket as you hear a low chuckle of his from the phone.
leon's chuckle grows louder on the other end of the line. "hey now, i never claimed to be a master chef. i've got other talents, you know," he retorts playfully.
"oh, is that so? and what other talents might those be?" you ask, feigning curiosity.
"well, for one, i can take down a horde of zombies with my eyes closed. i can make some pretty funny jokes if i do say so myself," he replies, coated in sarcasm. "oh, and let's not forget my impeccable ability to make you smile, even from miles away."
you can't help but laugh at his response, as corny as it is. it's true, leon has a way of making the toughest situations bearable with his humor, even with the dad jokes. "well, i guess i can forgive your lack of culinary skills then. just make sure you're ready to put on your apron when you're back, alright?"
"i'll do my best, but no promises," he states, amusement clear in his tone. "but hey, i've got a surprise for you when i get back. something i think you'll love."
your curiosity piques at his words. "oh really? now you got me curious. what is it?" you ask, unable to contain my excitement.
leon lets out a mischievous chuckle. "sorry, babe, can't spoil the surprise. you'll just have to wait and find out."
you groan, pretending to be disappointed. "you're such a tease, leon. but i guess i'll have to be patient."
"patience is a virtue, my love," he replies, his voice filled with warmth. "just a little longer, and then we can have our own christmas celebration, complete with whatever surprise i have in store for you."
you grin, feeling a surge of anticipation. "i can't wait. just make sure you come back to me in one piece, alright?"
"you got it. i'll be home soon. i love you," he promises, his voice filled with sincerity.
"i love you too, leon. stay safe," you reply, bringing the phone closer to your ear to hear every tone of his.
despite the disappointment of not being able to spend christmas together, you know that seeing leon after will make it all worth it. and for now, youâll hold on to that thought, eagerly awaiting his return.
as the beep resonated from your phone, signaling the end of the call, a harsh reality settled in, causing you to slump back into the couch. despite the excitement of hearing from him, the sting of loneliness remained. you pondered whether leon truly understood the weight of your solitude, yet hesitated to voice your feelings, fearing it would burden him with guilt or worry amidst his own demanding circumstances. after all, he must be grappling with his own shit.
rising from the couch, you made your way to the christmas tree, reaching down behind it to plug the lights back into the socket. a growing smile adorned your face as the warm glow illuminated the room.
the christmas tree stood tall and proud in the corner of the room, its branches reaching upward like outstretched arms. it was adorned with an array of ornaments, each one holding a special significance and memory. the lights, now aglow, cast a soft, warm radiance that enveloped the tree, casting playful shadows on the surrounding walls. the branches were adorned with a delightful assortment of decorations, ranging from delicate glass baubles to whimsical handmade trinkets. shimmering silver and gold balls mingled with vibrant red and green ornaments, a harmonious blend of colors that captured the essence of the holiday season you adored. nestled among the branches were strands of sparkling tinsel, something that leon claimed to hate on trees but so desperately wanted to put on yours, that caught the light and added a touch of magic to the scene. handcrafted paper snowflakes, carefully cut and strung with thread, dangled delicately, evoking the whimsy of winter's first snowfall. at the very top of the tree, a glittering star shone brilliantly, serving as a guiding light to illuminate the room and symbolize the hope and joy of the season. leon had held you up on his shoulders for you to get that very star up there.
as you gazed upon the tree, its beauty and the memories it held washed over you, reminding you of how you and leon had happily adorned this tree together just a couple of weeks ago. now, you stood before it alone. you physically felt the silence of his hands wrapped around your waist as you peered up at the star, his chin on your shoulder as his breath hit your neck whilst whispering sweet nothings.
another sigh escaped your lips as you acknowledged the familiar reality of how your holiday was going to pan out.
determined not to dwell on it indefinitely, you pushed aside the melancholy and headed to the kitchen to prepare your breakfast. you knew that allowing yourself to be consumed by these emotions all day would not serve you well.
as you make your way to the kitchen, the smell of freshly brewed coffee fills the air. leon always made sure to set the coffee maker the night before, a small gesture that never failed to bring a smile to your face. but the smile wasnât on your face, as he wasnât here the night before or the nights before that. everything in your home seemed like an echo chamber of leon. though the house feels empty without leon's presence, you remind yourself that it's just temporary. he's out there, doing what he does best, and you couldn't be prouder of him. you know that his work is important, and sometimes sacrifices have to be made.
you pour yourself a cup, savoring the familiar taste and warmth. you grab a couple of eggs from the fridge and start preparing a simple breakfast. as you crack the eggs into the pan, you can't help but remember the times youâve cooked together, laughing and joking around in the kitchen. you can still find joy in the small moments, even if it's just making breakfast for yourself. you turn on some music, filling the kitchen with some christmas classics, and start humming along as you cook.
as you sit down at the table, enjoying your breakfast, you glance at the calendar on the wall. christmas day is just around the corner, and you can't help but feel a twinge of excitement. soon enough, even if you hate how it is now, leon will be home.
you refuse to let the loneliness consume you. after finishing your breakfast, you clean up the kitchen and decide to fill your day with activities that can lift you up. whether it's going for a walk, reading a book, going on youtube for endless hours, hanging out with a friend, or even just watching more christmas movies, youâll make the most of this day.
speaking of a friend, one of your friends had invited you to a christmas eve party a couple of days ago. however, at that time, you were deeply immersed in your emotions and sought solace in your own sorrows of being alone. but now, you've reached a turning point. the time for crying and being consumed by your emotions has passed.
you grab your phone and swiftly send a text to your friend, inquiring if the party is still happening. after a brief moment, you receive a reply confirming that the party is indeed taking place.
a surge of excitement rushes through you as you realize that attending the party would serve as the perfect distraction. it's an opportunity to spend time with friends, indulge in a drink or two, embrace the stupid holiday festivities, and momentarily let you forget the absence of leon.
as night fell, you wasted no time in preparing for the occasion. slipping into a stunning, curve-hugging short red dress, you embraced the perfect color for the festive season. its vibrant hue radiated celebration and joy. accompanied by elegant heels, every step exuded glamour.
attention to detail was paramount, so you meticulously selected accessories to complete your ensemble. your signature hoops and rings adorned your ears and fingers, adding a personal touch of style. but you didn't stop there. to harmonize with the season, you chose a few matching bracelets, flawlessly complementing the red dress.
turning your focus to your face, you skillfully applied makeup in a warm, natural palette, harmonizing with the enchanting christmas theme. subtle earthy tones accentuated your features, while a hint of shimmer on your eyelids added a touch of festive sparkle. a sweep of lip gloss provided a luscious glow, completing the radiant look.
before stepping out, you took a moment to enhance your curls. with a touch of product, you breathed new life into your locks, giving them refreshed volume that cascaded gracefully around your shoulders.
now fully prepared, you were ready to embrace the night, exuding confidence and capturing the spirit of the occasion.
with a sense of finality, you diligently switched off all the lights, the stove, and the remaining appliances. as the last item on your checklist, you knelt down to unplug the christmas tree, a tinge of melancholy tugging at the corners of your lips as you observed the once-bright lights flicker and fade into darkness. retrieving your keys from the coffee table, you approached the front door and closed it with a resolute click, sealing the chapter of your time within.
as you stepped out into the night, a cool breeze greeted you, whispering a farewell as you pressed the button on your car keys. a satisfying beep resonated from your vehicle, parked diligently in front of your house, punctuating the moment. slipping into the comforting embrace of the front seat, you took a moment to gather yourself, preparing to start the car.
as you make your way to the address, the air is filled with the lively sound of remixed holiday music and laughter. instantly, your energy shifts, and you feel a surge of excitement as you prepare to join the festivities.
upon entering, you find the party in full swing, with vibrant decorations adorning every corner and the delightful hum of friends and acquaintances mingling. across the room, you spot your friend, who eagerly waves you over with a warm smile.
twinkling lights illuminate every room, casting a warm, festive glow. garlands and wreaths, adorned with pinecones, holly berries, and shimmering ornaments, grace the walls and banisters, emanating the scent of fresh pine. the fireplace crackles with a cozy fire, casting dancing shadows on the walls. tables are adorned with holiday-themed centerpieces, featuring arrangements of poinsettias, candles, and miniature winter scenes. delicate snowflake decorations dangle from the ceilings, creating a whimsical atmosphere. everyone arrived dressed in their holiday best. other girls such as yourself don elegant cocktail dresses in rich colors, such as deep reds, emerald greens, and shimmering golds. some opt for fashionable jumpsuits or tailored pantsuits, exuding sophistication and style. the men present sport sharp suits or smart casual attire, complemented by festive touches like velvet blazers or patterned ties.
as you immerse yourself into the party, a profound sense of belonging washes over you. the room echoes with laughter, shared stories that make you blush, and an all-encompassing festive atmosphere. the night unfolds with drinks being passed around, party games igniting the atmosphere, and an abundance of delicious food and desserts to satisfy your cravings. witnessing spontaneous moments like people taking shots of coquito from another's belly button brings a carefree and joyful spirit to the occasion, exactly the kind of fun you needed.
in this lively setting, you let loose, embracing the merriment, and allowing yourself to simply revel in the happiness of the present moment.
as the night draws to a close, you say your goodbyes, feeling a little uplifted. the party had been a perfect distraction, you just dreaded going home to the silence you once shared with your lover.
you smile gratefully at your friend, feeling the warmth the her hug she encases you in. "thank you," you say sincerely. "i really did need this. it was a great distraction, and i had so much fun."
her embrace reminds you of the support and understanding that you have in your life. it's moments like these that make you appreciate the importance of having people to lean on.
returning her hug, you express your gratitude once more. "i'm lucky to have a friend like you. thanks for inviting me and being there for me. it means a lot."
âof course, donât stress it,â she replies nonchalantly. as she walks you to your car, talking as much as you can before you have to go astray, eventually you part ways with her.
you slip into your car, starting the engine as you embark on the journey back home. the anticipation of returning to the quiet solitude of the house weighs heavily on you. eventually, you navigate through the drive-through and park your car, eager to reach the front door swiftly, mindful of the cold creeping up your bare legs, accentuated by your short dress. with haste, you insert the key into the lock, feeling a sense of relief as the door swings open. stepping inside, you swiftly turn to lock the door behind you, the click of the lock providing a small measure of comfort.
rubbing your tired eyes, exhausted from the emotional roller coaster of the day, you fumble to flip the light switch, craving the clarity of illumination. as the room floods with light, your senses jolt awake at the sight of someone familiar, causing you to momentarily snap out of your weariness.
âleon?â you voice, taken aback by his appearance.
leon stands in the middle of the living room, a mischievous smile on his face. he holds up a bouquet of flowers and a small gift, his eyes filled with warmth and excitement. he looks at you, his voice dripping with charm.
"surprise," he murmurs, a smile forming at the side of his mouth as he spoke. "i couldn't stay away for christmas after all."
your heart skips a beat as you take in the sight of him, unable to believe that he's actually here. the exhaustion and dread you felt just moments ago vanish, replaced by an overwhelming sense of happiness and relief.
you rush towards him, your eyes welling up with tears as you throw your arms around him, embracing him tightly. "leon! i can't believe it! you're really here!" you exclaim, hands practically shaking from the withdrawals of him not being in your grasp for what seemed like months on end.
he holds you close, his embrace reassuring and comforting. "i wanted to surprise you, beautiful," he says softly, his voice filled with affection. "i finished my mission earlier than expected, and there was no way i wasnât coming back home to you the minute it ended."
you pull back slightly, your eyes searching his face, still in disbelief. "but... how? when did you even...?"
he chuckles, his piercing midnight blue gaze never leaving yours. "i made all the arrangements i needed to keep it a secret. i wanted to see the look on your face when you walked in and found me here."
that was just code for him that he probably drove here early and parked the car a block or four down so you wouldnât bat an eye at it appearing mysteriously in the driveway which would give his little plan away. a mixture of awe, joy, and gratitude washes over you. you feel truly blessed to have someone like leon in your life, someone who goes above and beyond to make you happy.
"i can't believe you did this," you repeat, beginning to sound like a broken record. "you've truly outdone yourself, leon kennedy."
there it goes, his name leaving your lips once again. nothing made him more tender than hearing you say his name. leon smiles, his eyes twinkling with affection. "you know i would do anything for you."
basking in the joy of being reunited, you can't help but feel a sense of contentment and love.
"i really thought i would be spending another christmas alone this year," you whispered, your voice filled with a mix of surprise and delight. stepping back from the embrace, you allowed yourself a moment to fully absorb the sight before you, taking in every detail of leon.
leon's eyes soften as he looks at you, understanding and empathy shining through. "i'm sorry you had to feel that way, my love," he expressed gently, his voice filled with sincerity. "i never want you to feel alone, especially during the holidays."
he takes a step closer, reaching out to cup your face in his hands. "i know how much this time of year means to you, and i wanted to make sure it was special. you deserve all the love and happiness in the world, and i want to be the one to give it to you."
you lean into his touch, feeling the warmth of his hands against your skin. "you've already made my christmas just by being here," you reply, voice laced with gratitude. "i can't even put into words right now how much it means to me."
he smiles, his thumb gently brushing against your cheek. "you don't have to say anything. seeing your smile and knowing that i could surprise you like this is enough for me. i love you, and i'll always be here for you, no matter what."
you reach up to hold his hand against your face, savoring the moment and the love that surrounds you both. "i love you too, leon."
as you stand there, wrapped in each other's embrace, you canât help but nuzzle yourself closer to him as if in one blink heâd be gone again.
you peer over to the flowers he had put down to hold you, and next to it a small box. âwhatâs that pretty little thing you got wrapped?â you inquire.
leon grins mischievously, now holding up the small gift box for you to see. "ah, this? well, that's a little something i picked up for you," he states playfully.
curiosity piqued, you eagerly reach out to take the box from him, as you carefully untie the ribbon and open the lid, revealing a delicate piece of jewelry nestled inside.
"it's a necklace," leon explains, his tone prideful as he was proud to come up with this gift for you. "i saw it and immediately thought of you. i added a little something too, look inside."
you delicately lift the necklace from its cushioned bed, admiring the intricate design and the way it catches the light. your fingertips grace the metal edge of the pendant as you flip it open, revealing a familiar photo of you and leon within. you instantly recognized the photo, a flood of memories rushing back as your eyes fell upon the familiar image. it captured leon perfectly, dressed in his black suit and tie, a visual testament to the moment he officially became an agent after his time as a cop in raccoon cityâa chapter of his life that was cut short, to say the least. but your connection with leon had transcended those challenging times, as you had been together even before his days as an agent.
âso you always have me with you when iâm away,â he explains, his eyes creasing a bit from the smile on his face as he studies your features. âdo you like it?â
itâs not like you could hear what he was saying as all the background noise felt like muffled echoes as you fixated on the image before you.
"it's beautiful, leon," you whisper, fighting the tears that threaten to trickle down your cheeks. "thank you. i love it."
he comes closer, rubbing the sides of your arms. "i'm glad you like it. i know it doesnât replace the real thing, and itâs nowhere near close to,â leon affirmed, a laugh escaping his lips from referring to himself so highly. âbut itâs something. and if it makes you happy, then iâm happy.â
with a gentle gesture, he extended his hand, delicately draping the necklace around your neck. the weight of the pendant against your skin sent a tingling sensation, as if it carried a significance beyond its physical presence. standing behind you, he carefully lowered it onto your chest, his touch evoking a sense of tenderness and affection. as the clasp secured the necklace, you swiftly turned around, your eyes meeting leon's.
in that fleeting moment, specific emotion could only describe how you feltâlove. love for the person standing before you. the necklace settled into its rightful place, a symbol of the connection between your hearts, and you couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the depth of your feelings.
leaning in, you press a soft kiss against his lips, your heart beating so hard against your chest you feel it might burst. "thank you for everything, leon. you truly are the best gift i could ever ask for."
you go to hug him one more time. leon holds you tightly in his arms, savoring the warmth of your body against hisâa sensation he hasnât felt in a while. "and you are the best gift i could ever ask for too," he replied, touching your heart as corny as it appeared. "being with you is all i need."
you remain intertwined in a tender embrace, savoring the preciousness of the moment and the profound love that envelops you both. as you nestle into each other, you can sense leon's arms enveloping you tighter, his hands gently pressing against the small of your back, conveying a depth of longing and affection that words could never fully capture. in that tranquil moment, you find solace in the knowledge that your connection is unbreakable, and that together, you can weather any storm that comes your way.
as leon's gaze shifts to the clock, his eyes follow each passing second until it finally strikes twelve, signaling the arrival of christmas. with utmost tenderness, he leans in to press a gentle kiss against your forehead, his affectionate gesture filling the room with warmth and love. his voice, as soft and delicate as the snowflakes that dance outside, gently breaks the silence of the room.
"merry christmas, my love," he whispers, his words spoken with a delicate care that wraps around you like a cozy blanket. the air seems to get warmer as he continues, "let's make this one to remember."
and as the joy of the season filled your heart, you knew that this year, your christmas would be anything but blue.

Human life is expendable. In this world, it always has been. If someone dies, theyâll simply be replaced.
In a way, itâs like the alcohol Leon consumes. Sometimes he takes just a few sips, and sometimes he drinks until heâs wasted, but when heâs done, he just grabs another drink. The liquor does well to remind him of the fragility of life in more ways than one. He takes a sip, and even though he knows itâs slowly killing him, when the intoxicating buzz fills his head, all he can feel is heaven.
Life is so much better when youâve got something to take the edge off.
Leon pulled his flask from his pocket, unscrewing the lid and taking a long swig, relishing in the burn of the alcohol as it traveled down his throat. The smell of it mixed with the cool air of the city, the familiar warmth spread throughout his body, and for a brief moment, he could almost feel his stresses melt into the tranquility of the cool breeze.
Almost. He was only escaping from the cycle of worry and stress for a short time, because once this drink was finished, it was begrudgingly back into the fray.
Why was it always on the nicest of days that Leon had to be stuck on a mission? Actually, thatâs a stupid question, considering heâs working pretty much every day. But shame on him for wanting to handle a mission peacefully with you and enjoy the nice weather for once.Â
Whatever, the situation this time was supposed to be under control anyways. Only you and him were dispatched to the scene, and you were told it was okay to take your time, so this must be something the both of you could handle quite easily. Soon, the sun would set, but maybe if you both managed to get this job done quickly, heâd be able to enjoy what was left of the day.
âShit, Leon, I canât find mine. Can I have yours?â
âNope, thereâs not much left. Sorry,â Leon replied, taking another long swig from his flask.
âDammit, I left my jacket at home âcause it was supposed to be hot today. It must still be in my pocket.â
The sun was beaming down, blistering heat radiating off the concrete sidewalk, but while standing in a large shadow cast by the looming buildings, a soft breeze dancing through the air cut through the tepidity. It brushed against Leonâs arms, bared by his gray t-shirt, tickling the side of his face and the hair on the back of his neck. This corner of the city was calm and quiet today, with the only sound being the rhythmic hum from cars on the nearby street whizzing by.Â
âHey, let me have a swig of yours.â
Leon shook his head. âNo way.â
âOh come on, Iâll be quick. Thereâs no way Iâm getting through this mission without a little sip.â
He took another sip, holding the flask carefully in the palm of his hand. Dribbles of liquid sloshed inside, the sound echoing through the silence. He turned his head, finally meeting your pleading gaze. You cocked your head at him and he hesitated, if only for a moment, before sighing in defeat. He brought the flask to your lips until they closed around it.
âDrink.â
You followed the command, taking a swig as he held the half-empty flask steady. The warmth of the whiskey hit your lips firstâyou tasted the sweet oak flavor on your tongue, and when you swallowed, the fiery warmth lingered satisfyingly in the back of your throat.
It wasnât very difficult to persuade Leon when it came to you, as it never has been. But thereâs something about sharing his drink with you, something about watching you take a sip between his fingers, eyes locked onto his. Something about it enthralled him every time. So if you asked, he was sure to let you have a taste, and this time was no different.
He withdrew when you took in a sufficient amount, bringing the flask back to his own lips. You tilted your head upwards, catching glimpses of pale blue obscured by a tangled web of power lines before the burning sensation sank down on the back of your throat.
Funny, at one point, you told Leon youâd never drink. Yet now, here you were. Somehow, Iâd never turned into Fine, Iâll try it, which then led to you asking What brand do you get again? Iâm just curious, all right before his eyes, and all because of him. It filled him with a little sense of pride.
If you were going to be an agent beside him, experiencing the same loss and turmoil as he has his entire life for the rest of yours, he supposed you deserved something to indulge in. Or at least, thatâs what he taught himself a long time ago. When you first became his partner, whether it was a nostalgic force of habit or an urge to put you through the same rite of passage he himself once underwent, Leon made it his goal to convince you to drink.Â
With how adamantly against it you were at first, he almost gave up. But after countless missions together, months spent growing closer and further trusting one another, something seemed to crack. He managed to convince you to try it, and in no time at all, he had turned you into just as much of a hopeless addict as he was. It was a satisfying feeling at first, but now, that feeling wasnât enjoyed without a sharp pang of guilt.Â
Leonâs life was expendable. If he died, what impact would he leave on the world? He had no loved ones, no familyâbesides you. And the very day after he breathed his last, youâd find that heâd be replaced, just as simply as everyone he himself has come to lose. Youâd forget about him and move on with your new partner. A sip of liquor was certainly not going to be his final nail in the coffin, but it doesnât really matter either way, does it?Â
Your life though, your life was different. Your life was precious. It was filled with time he didnât have, filled with hope he didnât have. In himself, he saw nothing, but in you, he saw love. To him, you were love. You were the embodiment of everything that made life worth living, everything beautiful. A star-filled night spent drinking the sweetest liquor, or finally getting home and taking off your shoes.
Thatâs something he would never admit. Not out loud, anyways.
He canât help himself, because the way his name falls from your lips sounds more divine than the way anyone else has ever said it. Leon seems to have the most meaning when youâre the one to utter the syllables. Kennedy doesnât sound like just another horrible, heavy weight he has to bear when itâs spoken from your mouth. His very existence is more precious to you than it is to the world.
You were someone he found worth protecting, and thatâs what Leon promised he would do, precisely why he changed his mind. If he could go back, he would have never given you alcohol. Hell, he would have quit drinking if thatâs what it took to get you to never try one. Your life was precious, and he shouldâve never taught you to shorten it.Â
Fantastic. He was thinking too much again. What he should do is shake these thoughts from his head and start focusing on the mission.
Leon gulped back the rest of the remaining whiskey, the warm sensation soothing his throat and the sweetness hitting him all at once. âAlright,â he spoke as he closed the lid, placing the empty flask back on his belt. âYou ready?â
âAs ready as Iâll ever be.â You pushed yourself off of the wall youâd been leaning on, stretching before you stood up straight. âYou okay? Youâve been spacing out.âÂ
âYeah, Iâm fine,â he replied nonchalantly, âRemember, if things go bad, you stand behind me. Understand?â
âDonât worry, itâll be just fine,â you stated, âAnd after weâre done, we can go out for some celebration drinks.â
Leon felt his worries fade away, like snow melting to a warm flame. He smiled softlyâsomething only you could seem to make him do, he thinks. Drinks together after a stressful day sounded great. All he had to do was get through this mission, and then he could relax. And with the two of you, it would be easy, right?Â
He nodded. âRight, letâs go.â
â â â â â â â â â â â â â *
Tyrant sighting inside block #9âs parking garage. According to the request, it fled to the 3rd floor. It is described as a rather weak bio-weapon. All civilians have been evacuated safely from the area. Dispatching two agents from the Division of Security Operations.
It was never supposed to happen this way. It was supposed to be an easy jobâfigure out the source of the possible outbreak, neutralize it and head to the lab. Get things done like you both always do and get out, simple as that. So how did you end up getting cornered by a tyrant like this?Â
From the minute you saw the state of disarray the parking garage was in, you knew rather weak was a complete lie. Youâve been working under D.S.O. long enough to know this much damage couldnât be caused by a mere low-rate bio-weapon. Cars were toppled everywhere. Some appeared to be flung with incredible force, and some were covered in holes where something had pierced straight through the metal. A chill was sent up your spine when you began to wonder what that something could be. It was definitely much stronger than it may have appeared.Â
Likewise, youâve been fighting alongside Leon long enough to know when he gets quiet like this; gritting his teeth roughly, sweat coating his furrowed brows. Itâs usually a bad sign. The only time he goes silent is when he knows things are about to go to shit. Either that, or he pulls one of his dad jokes to lighten up the mood.
Noted: donât complain about his sense of humor ever again.
With no words exchanged, you made your way to the third floor alongside Leon. Neither of you were sure what to expect, but you were saying silent prayers in your mind as you both climbed the stairs. Prayers that this one really was weak, and prayers that today wouldnât be your last.
Once you were face to face with the titular tyrant though, your assumptions were dreadfully proven.
First of all, it was no small-fry, boasting a rather large body of contorted limbs and mismatched appendages. It was a disgusting freak of nature, like every sickly creature youâve come across. What was most interesting were the equally sizable spines that covered the entirety of its body.Â
The tyrant appeared to be able to shoot them out and recall them back to its body at will, so not only did it have great range and offense, but when recalled, the spikes also provided an excellent layer of defense. They werenât porcupine levels of spines either. The size was comparable to railroad spikes, and they were heavy enough that it took a sustained burst of your pistol to deflect them, the recoil of the gun leaving your arms aching.
Second of all, thanks to all of those limbs helping to propel it, the damn thing was blisteringly fast and incredibly relentless. Its movements were a blur you could hardly even make out. All you could manage to do was block, block, blockânever having the opportunity to get a hit in.Â
Despite the growing severity of the situation, you were able to control your breathing and maintain some of your cool. You were both going to get out of this alive, you always do, donât you? After all, you trusted Leon completely, and he reciprocated with unwavering trust in you. You stood back to back, pressed close to one another, covering for each otherâs blind spots to deflect the tyrantâs attacks.
Leon has always been more agile than you, so at this point, you were relying on him to land a blow while you focused on simply keeping yourself from being impaled. Unfortunately, try as he might, he was just as unsuccessful as you. At least he was able to take a few shots at it, which was more than you were able to accomplish, but they proved to be fruitless when the creature dodged them easily.Â
With every bullet of your pistol, it seemed to become heavier and heavier in your hands. In your chest, you could feel every single pound of your heart. It was hard to breathe, almost like the air was being forced into your lungs. You were slowing down, threatening to succumb to your exhaustion.
Leon could sense it. When you started to lag, he only squeezed the trigger faster, firing his gun in bursts, but each bullet pierced through the air only to be effortlessly dodged by the tyrant. He blocked where you failed to, and before you knew it, the fight was in a league all its own and you truly werenât a part of it anymore.
He deflected every hit on his own while slowly backing away with you behind himâtaking every opportunity, each break in the tyrantâs attacks to put space in between the two of you and itself.Â
Eventually, you both were able to back up far enough that its attacks subsided a little, although not completely. Instead of sending out as many continual attacks as it could, the bio-weapon honed in on concentrated strikes. It was trying to eliminate one of you, and it clearly didnât care which, with one strong blow. Leon deflected the first hit, but not without briefly staggering under the weight of the impact.Â
âGo. Get out of here.â
Your attention was pulled away from the fight when Leon suddenly spoke, his voice breathless yet resolute. It was the first thing heâd said in a frighteningly long amount of time. His command hung in the air, his eyes remaining locked on the tyrant as he deflected another attack.Â
Do something, anything, be useful. But you were rooted in place and couldnât think, couldnât move. Everything was a blur, moving in fast motion while you were stuck in the past. All you were able to do was uselessly stand at Leonâs side, your eyes darting between him and the tyrant as he fired shots after shots, loud bangs of gunfire echoing throughout the garage.
Leon turned to you, grabbing your shoulder, and his iron grip paired with his sharp gaze meeting yours was enough to briefly shake you from your trance. He raised his voice, shouting, âDid you not hear me?â
âI did, I heard you, butâŠâ You stammered frantically, trying to come up with the words, trying to come up with anything at all. Right now, youâre aware that youâre only a liability, just someone he has to protect. But you didnât want to leave himâyou couldnât. You were hoping somehow, someway, youâd find a way to assist. If you searched your brain hard enough, youâd have to come up with something.Â
Leonâs face seemed to soften the slightest amount when he spoke again, staring into your eyes with an expression ever pleading. âI can handle this, youâre only going to get hurt if you stay so justââ
You should do something. Anything. Something to help him, something more useful, something better than just standing there.Â
No, you should run. You should listen to him. You should take the chance heâs made for you and get out. So why werenât you? Why were you numb, unable to move?Â
Wait, when did he start standing so close in front of you? And when did the noise of gunfire cease?Â
And why was Leon not moving?Â
The air was filled with a suffocating silence, save for a faint sound of droplets splattering on concrete and the twofold echo of weary gasps for breath. You were terrified to look, shaky vision remaining fixated on the tyrant, but when a spike stained crimson was recalled to its body and the sound grew from a light dribble to a loud splatter, your eyes darted downwards.Â
Blood. Leonâs blood.Â
His pistol slipped from his loose grasp, falling to the ground with a clatter amongst the spots of red painting the floor below. His legs buckled, and as he swayed forward, you reached out and caught him by his waist.Â
âHey, hey, waitâShit, Leon, Iâm so sorry.â
Everything was scrambled, surreal, and you were fumbling over your words, shaking, struggling to hold up his weight and not even sure what was going through your mind anymore.Â
Leon wrapped his arm around your shoulders, still wobbling but regaining a little bit of his balance. He opened his mouth to speak, but as soon as he tried, he sputtered into a cough, spitting up spots of blood into his hand.Â
His mind was a dizzying blur, coherent thoughts swirling, drowned out by a razor-edged pain that kept hammering away at his senses. Heâs losing blood. He can feel it warm and wet against his side. Even though his adrenaline is pumping right now, he canât have much consciousness left before heâs done.
Make the best call, otherwise youâre dying here.
The tyrant seemed to be taunting you now, taking its time to lick the blood off the spike clean. But Leon was the only one who noticed this. You couldnât tear your eyes away from him.Â
Despite how much it made your heart sink to see his face contorted in such pain, his lips parted as he took in ragged breaths, your gaze remained locked on. You focused only on watching the heave of his chest, right above where his navy shirt is stained a vivid red, because you were terrified of the thought that if you looked away, when you looked back, it wouldnât rise and fall anymore.Â
At least the tyrant seemed to have finally let its guard down. The damn thing probably thought it had already won. The two of you had lured it all the way to the edge of the parking garage. Orange rays from the setting sun cast large shadows upon its figure.
âLeon, come on, we need to get out of here.â
Make the best call, make the best call, make the best callâŠ
With every strength he could muster, his eyes roamed over the monster. He scanned the length of its spines, noting its intricate curves. As he observed further, his eyes drifted across something barely perceptible. Leon took a moment to adjust his gaze, unsure of what he was seeing with his blurry vision, but it was unmistakable: a barely perceptible glow nestled within the spineâs root.
The gears in his mind were spinning rapidly as he considered every possibility and angle.
Could he use this to his advantage?
What if it wasnât a vulnerability like he thought?
What if he missed his last chance?
Now was the only chance he had to test it, and he needed to do it quickly before it started paying attention again. He tried to form ideas on how he could seize the opportunity to his advantage despite the odds being stacked against him, and despite that deep, heavy feeling in his stomach that tells him to just let go.
No, stop hesitating or youâll die, idiot. He had to do it, and he had to do it right now.Â
Leon brought a heavy, trembling hand up, his finger pressed faint to the trigger. Through blurry vision growing dim, he aligned the pistol with the shadowy silhouette of the tyrant, attempting to take a shot at the glowing area.
The bullet pierced through the faint glow as if it was nothing, causing the tyrant to screech in pain and let out a guttural moan. With its body wracked with agony, it couldnât recall its spikes in time to protect itself.
It had worked, Leon realized, that was its weakness. He seized the opportunity and continued firing, and with each well-timed gunshot to its vital area, he weakened the tyrant further. Finally, finally after what felt like an eternity, a decisive shot left its gruesome form collapsing in defeat.
Leon used a final burst of energy to hurriedly twist until he was in front of you. He wrapped his arms around your back and held you close, his tall frame leant over yours to shield you from the splintered shards of broken spikes that were being flung through the air.
Itâs over.Â
The bio-weapon was taken down, Leon kept you safe, and once this realization hit him, the ache in his chest seemed to increase exponentially. It was a piercing, hot, all-encompassing pain, like nothing he could even describe. His ears were ringing, and every breath he took in was starting to become shorter and shorter without his control.Â
Thereâs so many things he wants to tell you. He wants to say itâs alright, we did it. Donât worry about me because everything is going to be okay. But words wouldnât form anymore, let alone comprehensible thoughts. He was at the end of his rope now, wasnât he?Â
It hurts, itâs fading away. Everything is fading.
âHang in there, Leon. Look at me, please.â
But your face was a blur, a mere swirl of colors growing hazy, almost as if he was being swallowed into the darkness of a long, pitch-black tunnel.
Shit, donât give in just yet. Donât give in.
âFocus on me, donât close your eyes.â
Your voice was growing fainter, muddier, as if Leon was plunged underwater, the depths threatening to claim him. His eyelids were starting to feel so, so heavy.Â
Heâs going to die.Â
The realization should have been terrifying. Instead, he felt release, like finally letting go when your hands had been burning from holding on for far too long. The end should have hit him much harder than it did, yet he found it soothing, like a riverâs rippling waters finally settling into a still, tranquil pool.Â
It was never supposed to happen this way. It was supposed to be an easy job, and now the person you cared for the most was dying in your arms.Â
âCan you hear me? Leon?âÂ
At this point, if you were saying anything, he couldnât tell what it was anymore. He could feel himself slipping, losing the fight, and before he knew it, he was speaking before he was thinking. Soft words tumbled from his aching throat at barely more than a whisper.Â
âIâm sorry. I love you.â
And then, he was done.Â
Leonâs head fell to rest on your shoulder. His body went limp against yours, motionless and heavy. You could feel the ever so subtle tickle of his shallow breaths against your neck.Â
He was barely breathing, but at least he wasnât dead yet.
â â â â â â â â â â â â â Â Â Â *
Itâs happening again. Heâs there, but at the same time, he is watching himself, a mere observer to the snowglobe that is the microcosm of his life. Inside the dome is a familiar place, surrounded by dead trees with bloodied corpses. Through frosted glass, he can see itâhe can see himself, determined and eager, as innocent and naive as he used to be. But all he can do is watch.
All he can do is watch as the scene plays out just as he knew it would, just as heâs seen in his dreams countless times before. Someone shakes the globe, and all at once, the city is torn into the sky, blown away with the same disorder present in a gorgeous flurry of raindrops and glitter. Â
Itâs strange. Seeing it now, so small, so far away, a swirl of mesmerizing crystalline, it almost seems beautiful. But as he watches, he can taste the bile rising in his throat, heâs weighed down by the sinking of his heart, and in that moment, heâs filled with the same sense of dread he felt that day. The feeling of being lost at sea with nothing but miles and miles of blue in sight. Nowhere to run to, no one to reach out and help you, left treading water until you drown in the deep.
If God is up there, he isnât listening anymore.
Leon feels cold, down to his bones. Is it because of the rainstorm? Or is it coming from within?Â
The scene fades, and a new one opens on what he remembers to be the first time he killed one of those things. He watches a much younger, inexperienced version of himself through the shiny reflection on the gun. His fragile hands grasp the grip tight and he fires with a reckless naivetĂ©. God, he was so young to be fighting, and even though he tried to hide it, Leon knew him better than anyoneâhe knew the boy he saw in the mirror was terrified.Â
He became a spectator to his first zombie kill. Adrenaline pumped through his veins and he was overwhelmed with the satisfaction of finally doing something useful. From then on, he killed more, more. He didnât stop, not even for a second.Â
His gun was aimed and fired at creature after creature, but the madness didnât end for him once they were shot. When he was done, his palms were stained red, down to the crevices. He remembers feeling as though it would never wash out of his pores. With his vision blurring with tears, Leon could no longer see through the steel, and so the scene faded anew.Â
When the picture took shape once more, Leon was standing in the grounds of the Raccoon City Police Department.Â
Through a blurry vision, he could see himself inside, chatting with an experienced police officer. Or perhaps it was an argument, he canât remember. The main hall appeared to be empty apart from them, and although he could see himself clearly, the one sitting on the sofa across from him was blurred. He knew exactly who it was, and yet, his face was obscured and just wasnât quite right.Â
Even though he was watching from further away, he could hear the conversation clear as day, like it was coming from inside his brain.Â
âLook, we can still make it out of here together, if you just gimmeââÂ
Leon didnât look up, although now, he wished he did; because if he had, maybe he would have remembered his face more.Â
âItâs too late,â Marvin stated firmly, âI tried, Leon. But I couldnât stop it. We canât let this thing spread. Itâs on you now.â
Itâs still on him now, isnât it? It has been for a while. Leon is awfully aware of the fact that he doesnât belong anywhere except the line of fire. Itâs all he has, all he knows. He is held on the tightest leash around his neck, owned from the day he joined this miserable circus until either retirement or demise. Thatâs the price he pays for keeping people safe, one bottle at a time.Â
Perhaps, he thinks now, he does deserve this lifestyleâwaking up every day only to despise the very air he breathes. Leon isnât sure anymore. Maybe thereâs some twisted deity up there, laughing at his torment.
âI understand.â
If he could go back now, would he have changed his answer?Â
Right now, he isnât sure, but in this world where heâs only an onlooker, it doesnât really matter. He is on the outside looking in, left staring at his double and the hazy vision of Marvin.
Why was he seeing all of these things? Is this what they call your life flashing before your eyes?Â
He stood idly, watching the film continue to play out, although he already knew how it was going to end. For a second time, he had to shoot Marvinâs zombie form, and for a second time, he was utterly powerless to stop it. He was a prisoner to a story already told, and even though the rest of the memory was fuzzy, he could remember everything about Marvin as he watched him slowly disappear.Â
That memory was always the clearest. His own brain is so cruel.Â
Leon couldnât bear to see much more of this. He turned and started walking, then running, leaving the stage behind him.Â
Perhaps it was because he hoped to enter a memory more pleasant, or perhaps it was because your face was the last thing he saw, your voice the last thing he heard, and so you were still lingering in the labyrinth of his mind. Whatever it was, Leon began to reflect on recollections of you.
The first time he offered you a cold glass of whiskey. He demonstrated how to drink it before passing it off to you. When you coughed and sputtered, it was almost endearing, like watching a younger version of himself. You didnât give up though, and when he watched you, he couldnât help but smile. That day, he smiled for what was the first time in a long time.Â
The first mission you completed together. He didnât think it was anything to write home about, but you were so excited, and some of that cheerfulness couldnât help but be rubbed off on him. You praised him for how strong he was, rambled about how much you wished you could be an agent as strong as him. Never become like me, was what he wanted to say, but instead, he offered to train with you, show you some of what he knows. You graciously accepted, and after that, training sessions together became a regular occurance. That was only the start of Leon spending time with you outside of work.Â
The first time he took you to his familyâs grave. He told you it wouldnât be anything fun, but you insisted on coming. Heâs still not sure why you did.Â
It was chilly that day. You both left early in the morning. You slept on his shoulder on the train ride there. Then, on the boat, it was freezing, so while you looked out at the water, he took off his jacket and draped it over the two of you like a blanket with his shoulder pressed against yours. Lastly was the bus, and even though it was totally empty, for some reason, he stood close to you. Close enough that every bump in the road caused him to lean into you. Close enough that his fingers kept accidentally brushing against yours.Â
Another thing heâs not sure of is why you decided to grab his hand then. It could be because you were getting tired of all those accidents, or maybe it was because you figured it was awfully close anyways, so you might as well. It wouldnât be a far extension of what was already occurring.Â
Or possibly, it was because you could see right through him. You could tell deep down, he was troubled with the reminders of all of this, of everything he lost that day. So when you took his hand, it was to give him something to hold on to. A small form of comfort. He likes to think the reason was the latter.Â
âYour hands are cold.â You commented.Â
âYours are warm.â
The trip was always a long one, but with you, it seemed to go by in an instant. You prayed alongside him, and something about you being there made it easier, made him feel less alone.Â
In his eyes, in every memory, your face was clear. He could see every detail of it, but he swore it was more beautiful than he remembered.Â
The first time you came over to his house, he showed you around, and when you were hungry, he peeled and cut an apple for you. He remembers the way your face lit up when you saw the bunny-shaped slices, the way you smiled at him as you ate. You watched movies together, talked about stupid shit and gossiped about co-workers while forgetting about the world. For just one night, everything was normal. Leon remembers wishing he could freeze time right at that moment.Â
The second time you went out drinking together, you both probably shared more secrets than necessary, but Leon can hardly recall what was said. What he does remember is taking you home when you got too drunk, your whole body leaning on him, your infectious laugh when you wobbled, and the way you relied on him to keep you safe without question. It made him feel important, made him feel like he was needed by someone.Â
Itâs the dullest of moments that Leon remembers the clearest, he notes. They also happen to be the ones he loves the most, because when every monster might be what drives you to the brink of insanity, a little bit of something simple goes a long way.Â
Leon relives a conversation he had with you on his balcony, over a shared whiskey and under the dull light of the crescent moon. He recalls something you asked him that night.Â
If you could go back and change your past, would you?
You posed it as a pretty casual question, teasing him when he simply replied he doesnât know.Â
Ask him any other time, and Leon would have said yes, absolutely. There were so many things heâd like to change about his life. So many people heâd want to save, and when he really thinks about it, all of this started with that stupid uniform and that damn gun. Against the impossible odds, heâd find a way to prevent it, find a way to save innocent souls. Find a way to fix his life.Â
Now though? Heâs come to feel a bit differently, not just about that question, but about his life as a whole. No matter how much you wish it could, the past canât be changed. The only thing you can do is learn to live with it. Accomplish your goals and treasure what you have left until itâs gone. And if you do, you might just find something that makes all the suffering worth it in the end. Someone who makes you look forward, instead of looking back all the time.Â
The only thing he regrets is ever giving you a damn glass of whiskey.Â
This world has always hated him from the start. Was showing him all of this the universeâs way of trying to get him to finally give up?Â
To hell with that. Leon still had a job to do, and for once in his life, he had someone out there waiting for him. Someone who would cry if he died, and he canât let that happen. He needed to get out of here.Â
âWhere are we going?â
With no warning, he found himself on a busy street, and he heard your voice clearly through the suffocating crowd.Â
âWe have to patrol the south side,â came his response, although it wasnât coming from his own mouth. Leon turned to where he heard it, and standing out from the group as if a spotlight was shown upon them was the striking image of himself walking with you close on his heels.
âTry to keep up,â his duplicate continued, âI wonât have time to babysit you.â
âYou must have pretty low expectations of me.â
âI have low expectations of some people, especially softies like yourself.â
Leon felt his hands ball up into fists. Man, was he always such an asshole?
âAnd whyâs that?â
âBecause everyone ends up eitherââ
Leon charged forward, closing the distance between himself and you. Before he let himself say another word, he reached out and grabbed your hand. Your palm was warm, and he could feel it when you gripped back, the touch distinct and real. For a moment, his heart skipped and he hesitated, a gravity almost drawing him awayâbut he held on tight and let it pull him with you in tow.Â
He moved as quickly as he could manage, shouldering past those in the way, and when the sea of people seemed to part, he started running.Â
âLeon, wait!â Your voice cried out from behind him, and you were slowing down, stumbling, struggling to keep up. âWhere the hell are we going?â
His vision was growing muddled, and he wasnât sure where he even was anymore. His surroundings were a confusing, vague blur, in an uncanny kind of way.
âWeâre getting out of here,â He replied, and the next thing he said poured from his mouth thoughtlessly, âIâm not ready to die.â
âYouâre not dead, Leon.â
Leon froze in place. âIâm not?â He murmured, although to be honest, he knew a long time ago that he wasnât. He knew from the moment he first saw your face, and from the second he felt your touch so strongly when he grabbed your hand. He could feel this was only a dream that he was on the edge of waking up from. Â
And as if on cue, a loud boom pierced right through the languor, and the calm haze of a quiet dream was severed in favor of a heart-pounding awakening.Â
â â â â â â â â â â â â â Â Â Â *
Heâs not dead yet.
Leon awoke, the fog blanketing his mind rapidly fading to a clear consciousness. The first thing he heard was the crack of thunder, and once his eyes fluttered open, the second thing was the rolling thrum thereafter. He fought against the grogginess still lingering in his mind and the heavy weight of his eyelids begging to close, attempting to take in the area around him. The room was dim, covered in a veil of gray, and the gentle patter of rain could be heard outside.Â
He sat there for a moment, pondering the loose threads from his dream still lingering in his memory. As his senses returned, he felt something in his open hand, holding it carefully, but firm. Your touch blended so well with his dream that it took him a bit before he noticed. Fabric rustled as he turned to look at you, your head rested on the edge of the bed. You had pulled up a chair next to him, and although he couldnât tell since you were facing away, he guessed you were sleeping.
Leon felt his body relax and his heartbeat slow once he saw you, and for a minute he was settled there, simply enjoying the feeling of your hand in his. It was warm. So warm.
He could tell from his surroundings that he must be in the hospital. How long had he been asleep? Or, more importantly, how long had you been waiting for him to wake up? Hopefully he didnât worry you for too long, he thought, and as he attempted to recall how he got himself into this in the first place, the memory of the day prior began to return.Â
Thatâs right, the mission was interrupted by a bio-weapon, and thatâs where he became injured. He remembered fighting alongside you, stepping in front of you, and taking a spike right through his stomach. Leon could feel his middle wrapped in something snug, and to confirm it true, he snaked his free hand up his hospital gown. Sure enough, when his fingers met his side, he felt the smooth cotton of a bandage cloth.
The next thing he recalled was the pain. How sharp and hot it was, and then the feeling of almost dying that followed. It felt oddly calm, like slipping into a peaceful slumber, but now, the mental image it conjured utterly terrified him.Â
You werenât hurt, were you? No, if you were here now, you must have gotten out safely. Leon remembered your panicked voice as you begged for him to stay awake. The look on your face that shot a bullet through his heart when he realized you were crying. He remembered being held in your arms, slowly slipping away, whispering his last wordsâŠÂ
Shit. They were supposed to be his last words, anyways, but considering he was alive and well right now, they certainly didnât turn out to be. He wasnât sure if that was a good or a bad thing.Â
In the moment, his mind was in shambles, and all he was concerned with was making sure something left his mouth so you could hear his voice one last time. He wanted those words to be meaningful and good, but he didnât have much time nor energy left to decide on them. The grim prospect of death was staring him right in the eyes, and he could tell from the dwindling sand within the hourglass that he didnât have much time left. He dug a hole for his own grave, and as he did, he unearthed feelings he had long since buried in the dirt. In the moment, all he could think of was not allowing those feelings to be forever buried alongside him.Â
Leon could feel his heart constrict in his chest. I love you. I love you. I love you. Each resoundment was like a punch to the gut, echoing throughout his head, spoken in his own voice. Out of all the things he could have said, why did he have to go with that? Maybe it would have been endearing if he had actually ended up six feet under, but in this instance, all he did was force his feelings onto you.Â
He shouldnât have said it. The time and place couldnât have been any more horrible. You shouldnât feel pressured to accept his confession just because he almost died, so Leon decided the first thing heâs going to do when you wake up is take it all back. Heâll tell you he didnât mean any of it, even if that was an outright lie.Â
Speaking frankly, Leon didnât know much about love, but somewhere down the line, he became pretty sure he was in love with you. He could feel it clearly in the way his heart came alive every time he was around you, and in the way your presence alone brought him so much peace. You treated his life as anything but expendable, and you cared about him in a way almost no one else ever has. There was something about you that captivated him and made him grow very, very attached, until before he realized what was happening, you became the most precious thing in his life.Â
Nevertheless, for so many reasons, he swallowed those feelings and kept them concealed. You were his partner firstly, his friend secondly, and he couldnât allow something stupid like this to get in the way of either of your jobs. Besides, if you grew closer to each other, it would only lead to more hurt when one of you inevitably departed. Leon had to keep you at a certain distance. For his own sake and yours, you two could never be more than friends.Â
But when you find yourself on the brink of death, something about you changes. You start thinking of all those things youâve tried to keep hidden and youâre met with a choice: speak now, or die beside them.Â
Oh, whatever. Whatâs done is done, so itâs not worth agonizing over now, is it?Â
Searching for something to distract himself, Leon finally decided to push himself up, doing so slowly as to not wake you. The second he rose, he immediately felt the strain of fatigue on his body, like a hook held by a taut line threatening to drag him backwards. The slightest bit of movement also triggered a steady throb in his side. He brushed strands of hair from his face, rubbed some of the stress from his temple, and forced himself to stay up.Â
A dull flash of lightning brought his attention to the window beside him. Gentle droplets tapped against the glass, then steadily cascaded down, obscuring the view with blurry streaks of water. Dark, puffy clouds hung low in the sky and blotted out the light from the sun. The slosh of water could be heard when cars in the streets below passed by, headlights casting streaks of yellow that traveled across the room.Â
For a while, Leon watched the rain, the soft rhythm beginning to settle his thoughts. He could still feel your hand in his, and he faintly closed his fingers around it, holding it in a tender grip. The drizzle outside bounced off of the sidewalk and soaked into the soil. Where it had the chance, it collected into puddles that reflected the cityâs colorful glow. It could have been his imagination, but he swore the storm was only picking up.Â
âLeon?â
A voice calling his name stirred him, but before he could fully turn towards it, before he could even form a word in response, you had already flung forward and wrapped your arms around him. Leonâs breath hitched in his throat. For a few seconds, he stalled, before he hesitantly returned the embrace, shaky arms clutching around your back. Loosely at first, but tight when he gave in.Â
You held him close, close enough that how glad you were to see he was okay was conveyed through your touch alone, and without a single word spoken, he understood. You could feel his heart beating through his chest and the fabric of his clothes was balled up tight in your hands.Â
His heartbeat. In the grand scheme of things, it was inconsequential, but hearing it now made it sound like the worldâs most perfect melody.Â
Although his lips trembled like there was something he wished to say, Leon was rendered speechless until you pulled apart. You held his shoulders, the look on his face one of relief. When he met your gaze, he got lost in your eyes, and when he spoke to end the silence, his voice was low. To hear it after so long made it sound especially comforting.Â
âHow long have you been here?â
âSince this afternoon,â you replied, âTheyâve been letting me off work early âcause I canât work without a buddy.â
Leon looked away, his face tensed in thought, and you spoke again, figuring you knew what was on his mind. âYouâve been asleep for three days now.â
Three days? He should be grateful he wasnât out for longer, but three days was still far too long to have left you worrying about him. He was so stupid, so sloppy, such an idiot. How could he let something like this happen?Â
Leon sighed, âIâm sorry.â
âYouâre sorry? For what?â
Fuck, for everything. His voice fragile, like it was glass about to break into a million little pieces, he answered, âFor failing you, for making you worry about me. For what Iââ
The hospital roomâs door opening with a creak caused Leon to trail off, his attention and yours shifted to a nurse standing in the hallway.Â
The nurse stated simply, âVisiting hours were over a long time ago.â
Your hesitation made Leon almost think you were going to protest, but instead, you responded, âOkay, Iâm leaving in a minute.â
When the nurse left, you pulled Leon into another curt hug. You were about to tell him not to apologize because there was nothing to apologize for, but when he rested his head on your shoulder, you heard him say quietly into your ear, âYou should leave now anyways, the rain is picking up.â
As much as you didnât want to, you cut the hug short and decided to leave the conversation there, since it seemed like what he wanted you to do. You began shuffling around the room to find your belongings. âYeah, I guess youâre right, but I wanted to talk to you for longer.â
âI know. Me too.â
âIâll come back tomorrow as soon as Iâm off work.â You said, pulling your arms through the sleeves of your jacket.Â
Leon shook his head, âThatâs not necessary.â
âYou donât want me to?â
Of course he wanted you to. If he was truly listening to his heart, he would have begged for you to stay and never fucking leave his side again. But he has to listen to his head.Â
âNo, just⊠Donât worry about me, okay? Iâll call you when I get out, we can talk more when Iâm feeling better.â
âAlright. Do you need anything before I go?â
âI could use something to take the edge off, but I doubt theyâll let me drink in here, so...â Leon pondered with a shrug of his shoulders, but without a care for what he just said, you rooted around in your jacket pocket, tossing your flask at him. He saw it out of the corner of his eye and spun to catch it with ease.Â
You were about to leave the room, but as you grabbed the door handle, you stopped to say one more comment, âHey, make sure you get some rest, alright?â
âDidnât I tell you not to worry about me?â
In response, you only chuckled.Â
Leon spoke between the flask already placed around his lips, âBe safe.â
âI will. See you later. Call me.â
He waved, and after catching one last glimpse of him, you left and closed the door behind you.Â
â â â â â â â â â â â â â Â Â Â *
Leon never called you.
After almost a week of not hearing from him, you decided to take matters into your own hands. You went to the hospital first, only to find his room empty upon opening the door. You flagged down a nurse, who informed you he left a few days ago. Against the wishes of his doctor, might they add. Yeah, sounds just like him.Â
So next, you tried to call his phone, but of course, it rang infinitely without an answer. When that plan failed, you didnât waste any time trying to leave voicemails. You got in your car and drove right to his apartment.Â
Considering what the nurse told you, it wasnât hard to believe he was ignoring you because he was trying to get some rest, but considering what you knew about Leon, the real reason was probably because he didnât want you to fuss over him. It was either that or he was too embarrassed to talk to you.
You parked in front of his apartment and then made your way to the door. The sun hung low in the sky, casting orange ribbons of light upon everything it touched. A sharp chill settled in the air, leaving goosebumps on your arms in its wake. You raised your knuckle and knocked.Â
No answer.Â
You rung the doorbell, hearing the muffled chime resound from inside.Â
No answer, again.Â
The lights werenât on, but his motorcycle was parked in the lot, so he definitely was here. Was he okay? Something didnât happen to him, did it? Youâre starting to get a little nervous.Â
You were about to try knocking at the door again, but to your surprise, it unlocked with a click. You hurriedly moved your hand away, and when it swung open, you couldnât hold back a sigh in relief.Â
Leon leant on the doorframe, his hair an utter mess. He was wearing comfortable clothing, what you assumed to be his pajamas, and a weary look was present in his eyes. Maybe he actually was resting after all.
He eyed you up and down before asking in a flat tone, âWhat are you doing here? Do you need something?â
You scoffed, âYou said you would call me and you didnât, idiot.â
âRight. Sorry,â He replied, his attitude standoffish, and he averted his eyes, looking down at the floor.
In his defense, he doesnât need to be saved when heâs the one doing the saving. Could he be any less subtle about this? At least you were here now, so he couldnât avoid you for any longer.Â
âCan you let me in? Itâs cold out here.â You said, crossing your arms.Â
Leon appeared to be unsure, but regardless, he opened the door further and moved aside, allowing you to walk in before he closed it behind you.
The second you entered, a heavy warmth settled over your body like a cocoon. The familiar smell of his apartment and the distinct musk of his cologne filled your lungs. The scent was comforting, albeit a little suffocating, but it smelled exactly like him, and thatâs what you loved about it. His living room was lit solely by the rays of light shining through the balconyâs sliding glass door.Â
He wobbled past you, and before he sunk down on the couch, you noticed how he was clutching his side. âThereâs beer in the fridge if you want one,â he said, grabbing a can from the coffee table in front of him.Â
You rolled your eyes, but decided to take him up on that offer, walking over to the kitchen. âIsnât it bad to drink while youâre recovering?â
âIt helps take the edge off.â Leon brought the can to his lips, head tilted back as he took in a sufficient sip. After swallowing, he added, âBesides, youâre the one who let me drink back in the hospital. It shouldnât be a problem now.â
After rummaging around in the fridge, you grabbed a beer can of your own, cracking it open with a satisfying hiss. The bitter taste of alcohol pricked at your throat when you took a sip, and as you made your way to the living room, you looked at Leon again. He didnât look to be in much pain, but he was still holding his stomach like something was sore there. His expression was plagued by exhaustion and his hair was in total disarray. He probably hadnât even brushed it since he got home.
âLeon, are you alright?â You asked, plopping next to him, the couch sinking under your weight.Â
âIâm fine.âÂ
âYou donât look fine.â You snapped back after his curt response, pointing to his bandages as he brought the beer can to his mouth again. Most curiously, his waist was wrapped in bandages stained a dark red from dried blood. âAre you really okay? Have you been changing your bandages at all?â
âI told you I was okay. You worry too much.â
âYou didnât answer my second question.â
Leon looked away, unresponsive. There was your answer, you supposed. You took another swig of your beer before setting it on the table and pushing yourself up.Â
âWhere are you going?â He asked, peering up at you.Â
âBathroom.â
This was far from the first time youâd hung out at Leonâs place, so you knew exactly where the bathroom was. You dug through all the cabinets and drawers until you found everything you were looking for: a roll of bandages, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, a washcloth, and his hairbrush.Â
When you returned, Leon immediately saw everything you were holding and a slight look of annoyance formed on his face.
âYou donât have toââ
âCome on, let me help you.â You interrupted, setting everything down on the table besides the brush, which you held in your hand. âFace forward, Iâm gonna brush your hair first.â
He gave a few more flustered comments, but you ignored them. You stood behind him and grabbed his chin when he tried to twist around, tilting his head back until it was forwards. Realizing there was no sense in fighting you, he sighed rather dramatically and reluctantly kept still, allowing you to run the hair brush through his tangles.Â
You were gentle, as much as you possibly could be, anyways. Leon tried his hardest to keep still. It was impossible for you to tell from this angle, but if you could see his face, you would know he was totally embarrassed. Not embarrassed enough to stop you though, of course. Itâs fine if you wanted to brush his hair, because he definitely wasnât enjoying this and his heart definitely wasnât pounding right now.Â
âHey, Leon, I have something Iâve been meaning to ask you.â
âYeah, what is it?âÂ
Were you finally going to ask him about his last words? Itâs okay, he already prepared what he was going to say, so itâd be fine. Itâd be awkward, but heâll get over it, youâll get over it, and everything will go back to normal.Â
âOn our last mission, why did you step in front of me?â
Why did he do what? For a second, Leon was taken aback. This isnât what he expected you to say, not at all, in fact. Was this really all you were wondering about?Â
At first, he wasnât sure why. In the heat of the moment, the only thing in control was his reflexes, and when he protected you, he did so without a conscious thought. But the more he thought about it, the more the answer became obvious to him.Â
Leon is used to losing partners. Itâs nothing new, and even though he tells himself heâs not going to get attached, he always does. When they die, reduced to nothing but one of those damned things, their souls burn on in his memory when he shoots them, haunting him until he drowns in salty tears and the sweet burn of another whiskey. Theyâre replaced with hardly any time given to mourn, and the cycle repeats itself. The world discards them, but he never will.Â
The thing is, youâre not just another partner to him. Youâre not just someone who can be easily replaced. You meant so much to him, more than you would ever really know. If you died, youâd be taking a piece of him with you, and the void left behind is one he would never be able to fill again. Not with anyone else. Not with the alcohol or the rush from fighting. Nothing else would compare.Â
Leon is tired of this, and he realized he was a long time ago. Heâs sick of the world giving him something he thinks he can cherish, but no matter how tight he holds on, it always ends up slipping away, right between his grasp. He canât do this anymore. He canât sit back and be complacent, allowing the cycle to repeat itself over and over again until everything he finds beautiful is wilted, all right before his eyes.
He doesnât care about all the pain heâs in now. The temporary sting from this injury doesnât compare to how much it hurts to lose someone he cares about, a wound that aches everlasting. And he knows he could have died, he knows the feeling of death to an uncomfortable degree. But if keeping you safe means giving up his life for yours, heâd do it in a heartbeat, and he did.Â
âLeon, did you hear me?â
âI did it because I didnât want to see you hurt.â
You stopped for a moment, before exhaling a long sigh. âI donât want to see you hurt either, you know. You could have died.â
âIâm sorry.â
âDonât apologize, just next time, letâs both be more careful. I donât want you dying on me any time soon.â
Leon didnât say anything back, half expecting you to ask him something else, but the discussion stagnated.Â
I donât want you dying on me any time soon. How could one little sentence carry so much weight? Heâll try, God, heâll try. Heâll do anything and everything in his power to stay with you for as long as he can.Â
By this point, you finished brushing out his hair, and it was soft to the touch when you ran your fingers through to make sure you didnât miss any knots. One thingâs for sure, it looked a hell of a lot better than when you started.Â
âAll done,â You said while moving to stand in front of him, setting the brush down on the table, âIâm going to do your bandages now, take off your shirt.â
âHuh?âÂ
âI said Iâm going to do your bandages now. Iâll do the wound on your side first since thatâs gonna be the harder one.â
âNope,â Leon shook his head, reaching for the bandages, âIâll do it.â
You promptly put your hand on his and pushed it away. âNo, you wonât. Leon, please. Let me help you.â
Although his mouth opened like he was about to argue, he ultimately kept it shut, the pleading tone in your voice convincing him. He sunk back on the couch and his gaze avoided yours as he reached down, grasping the hem of his shirt and pulling it up over his head, letting out a little grunt of pain when he tossed it aside.Â
Itâs the first time youâve seen Leon without a shirt, and under it, heâs a lot more slim than you expected him to be. You could tell how the stress had eaten away at his soul, the burdens heâd been carrying for so long visibly taking their toll on him.
He was slim, but with defined muscle. Especially in his biceps, which you would assume is from the years of training. Bruises kissed his skin and scars decorated every last inch. You could imagine each one telling a different story: some of sorrow, some of triumph, but all a reminder that through everything, he lived. Just below his ribs, stained bandages were wrapped tightly.Â
When the last of the bandage was unwrapped, you finally got a good look at his wound, and the only thing you could think was this would definitely leave his biggest scar yet. The cut was sealed by stitches and traveled up the length of his abdomen, dried blood coated around it.Â
âSo, how should IâŠâ You stood in front of him, leaning down, attempting to figure out the best way to go about this. After feeling around, you located the end of the bandage, pulling on it and beginning to unwrap it from around his body. You could see the gentle rise and fall of his chest and hear the sound of his breathing: soft, and a little shaky. The angle was awkward and quickly caused an ache in your back, so to alleviate it, you rested your knee on his legs.Â
You took the bottle of rubbing alcohol from the table, then the washcloth, pouring a small amount onto the surface. When you turned back to him, you decided the easiest way to continue would be to climb into his lap.Â
Leon couldnât hide the blush on his cheeks anymore, nor could he stifle the way his breath hitched when he felt your weight settle on top of him. You were so close, way too close, and when you shuffled against him, his entire face felt very, very hot. He could feel the warmth all the way from his cheeks to the tips of his ears.Â
âAlright, this is probably going to hurt. Are you ready?â
âUh, yeah.â
God, why was he so embarrassed? Why couldnât he calm down? His heart was thrumming against his ribcage, pounding so hard he wouldnât be surprised if you could hear it through his chest like he could hear it in his eardrums. With you pressed up against his lap, he could admire the details on your face like he never could before. The shape of your nose, the color of your eyes, each and every mark and⊠and he didnât know where the hell to put his hands. Maybe he should⊠No, itâd be best if he justâ
âFuckinâ Christ,â he let out a pained groan, speaking through gritted teeth, âThat hurts, why didnât you warn me?â
âI did, you dumbass.â
The second you pressed the rag to his cut, a sharp sting shot through him and he flinched back instinctively. When you pressed it to him again, he tensed up and subsequently jerked away.Â
âLeon, you need to hold still.â
âI canât when itâs so goddamn painful.â
You gave him a second to compose himself before trying once more. Leon winced and swore under his breath, but he was able to keep still this time. You cleaned around his wound carefully, taking the washcloth away to give him a break whenever he squirmed or made it obvious he was in pain. Searching for something to hold onto, he grabbed your shoulder, squeezing tight to ground himself.Â
âYou shouldnât have left the hospital so early, this looks horrible.â You ascertain.Â
âI need to get back to work, Iâveââ He cuts himself off with a sharp intake of air, âIâve lost enough time already.â
The pain stung like all hell, but there was something about being looked after by you that felt nice, almost calming, in a way. There was also something about how you fit in his lap that felt so, so right. Leon could hardly get over that feeling, and when he was squirming too much so you gently held his waist to keep him still, your soft touch against his bare skin was tender and heavenly and perfect. Any more of this, and his heart might pop like a balloon.Â
âIâm almost done,â You said softly, your tone comforting, âYouâre doing good, hang in there for me.â
Leon gave a quick nod and you continued. You cleaned the entire length of the wound, and once you thought your work was sufficient, the next thing you grabbed from the table was the fresh roll of bandages. You began wrapping them around him, winding them up the width of his body once, then twice, then a third time for good measure. When you were finished, you asked him, âAre you okay?â
Leon merely nodded again.Â
âAre the bandages too tight?â
He shook his head. You secured the bandage with a knot, and when you started to slide off of him, Leon suddenly stopped you by grabbing your arm.
He canât let this moment end. Not right now. Not when he needs it. Not when heâs needed you for so long.
âWait,â He whispered, swallowing, âCan we⊠Can we stay like this for a little bit longer?â
You smiled, âOf course.â
You slid back into his lap, carefully straddling him, and Leon couldnât help but feel the way your body connected to his was like puzzle pieces finally fitting together. Heâs not sure if he planned to or if it was purely by natural reflex, but he was a slight bit bolder this time when he allowed his hands to find your waist and hold it faintly through the fabric of your clothes.Â
âAre you alright?â You asked him.Â
âYeah, Iâm fine. I just really missed you.â
To be honest, that didnât even begin to scratch the surface. Leon missed you so goddamn much. He longed for your touch, for your mere presence alone. To have you in his lap now was a blessing, and what he didnât tell you was on that day, when he woke up at the hospital and you wrapped your arms around him, the feeling which leapt through his heart was the most heâs felt in a long, long time.Â
Fuck, he was so stupid. Why did he ever try to push you away? Why did he think that was a good idea?
âI missed you too.â You replied.Â
âIâm sorry, I should have called you.â
âLeon,â You said with a half-hearted laugh, âItâs okay.â
âNo, itâsâŠâ Leon shook his head, his eyebrows furrowing, âItâs not, and Iâm sorry. Itâs not okay for me to get hurt so badly Iâm out for three days, or for me to ignore you, and I wonât let it happen again. I promise.â
His expression seemed to soften, and the next thing to leave his mouth was spoken a little quieter, a little softer, and much, much warmer.
âI donât ever want to be apart from you, not for that long. You matter too much to me.â
The way he said it so genuinely took you by surprise and ignited a little feeling inside your heart. It was a few seconds before you responded, âI donât want to be apart from you either.â
The room grew silent, and in between the two of you, only deep breaths and lingering gazes behind heavy blinks of eyelashes were exchanged. The sun is nearly set by now, the day nearly spent. Twilight casts the faintest lush glow of orange on half of Leonâs face, and the other is obscured by the dark shadow the light creates. The way it makes him look is practically ethereal, and you canât help but marvel at his featuresâthe faint wrinkles on his forehead, lines from constant scowling, tiny moles adorning his cheeks, and his perfectly shaped lips.
Your hand starts to drag up, up, until youâre caressing his jawline, cupping his cheek, feeling warmth radiate from his skin when he leans into your touch.Â
Leonâs not really sure what it was, or how it happened, but something fell into place right then. A want evolved into a need, then into a desire, and Leon knew, he knew he was done forâbut quite frankly, he didnât care.Â
He shouldnât be doing this, should he? His fingers shouldnât be trailing under your shirt. They shouldnât be shaking, climbing slowly upwards until he can study your waist, the dip of your sides, the outline of your ribs. He shouldnât be losing himself to you, nor should he be allowing you to touch him so earnestly, so intimately. Youâre not another person to fuck just to make sure heâs got his head on straight, youâre not someone he could ruin. Way too precious to be doing this with someone like him.
With one hand, you caress his chin, feeling his stubble, and with the other you run up the back of his neck, tangling it in his hair until he can feel tingles throughout his scalp. Meanwhile, he touches you with the delicacy of feather-light fingertips against your skin, like he was scared you might shatter if he wasnât careful, and the nervousness of unsure movements and trembling hands. And when he does so, he shouldnât be wanting more. If he shouldnât be doing this, why did it feel so good, and so right?Â
All he knew anymore was right now he wanted, no, he needed you, more of you. More of your touch, more of everything youâd be willing to give him, and then some. He needed you to take him somewhere far away from this world, because when you touch him like this, he doesnât feel empty anymore. He doesnât want it to end, even if he should, even if it would be the smarter choice. Truth is, heâs been cold inside ever since that rainy day, and this is the most warmth in his soul he thinks heâs felt since then.Â
Youâre his partner, nothing more. But in this space away from reality, inhabited by just the two of you, the world doesnât really fucking matter.Â
Maybe itâs because he was a little tipsy, or maybe itâs just because he was high on you, but his mind was a dream-filled haze, and with a budding, lovesick ache in his chest, Leon felt words blossom until they were falling from his mouth like petals, words he thought he would never say again.Â
âI love you.â
It came so naturally, as did his affectionate hold on your chin between his thumb and finger, as did the way you whispered I love you too in return without missing a beat.
Do you? It felt like a dream, but if it was, this was one Leon definitely didnât want to wake up from.Â
I do, always have. It wasnât a dream, it was real. You loved him. You said you loved him, and he didnât even know how to process it. He didnât know where to begin. But with you right here, he didnât think, he didnât complicate it, he just believed you. He let his heart take control and allowed everything to unfold.Â
His eyes dropped to your lips, and then gravity started to pull him in closer, closer, listlessly, his hand seeming to guide you forwards in the same way. His voice was quiet when he asked, Can I kiss you? and your response only came in the form of eyes fluttering closed and your mouth pressed against his.Â
His lips were soft, hesitant, woven with sparks, filled with a longing he didnât even know he hadâand to him, yours felt like a dizzying sense of relief. All of his longing, all of his infatuation. All of the times he was so close to you but stopped himself from doing anything more. All of the indirect kisses shared through metal flasks. All of it led up to this. And yet, the moment was cut short when he pulled away almost as quickly as he leaned in.Â
When he met your gaze, he smiled, and whispered, âYou can kiss me like you really mean it, you know.â
âYeah?â
âYeah.â
His lips sought yours again, but this time they pressed harder, for longer. In between struggles for breath, your mouths parted. Your hands were becoming lost in his hair and you were kissing him much deeper than you ever could have expected or imagined. He tasted vaguely like beer, the ones you both always drink. Comfortingly familiar.Â
It had been forever since youâd kissed someone, and never since youâd been kissed like this, so everything was clumsy and messy. The kiss became one he was teaching you how to do, and eventually, you started to get the hang of it. You were hesitant at first, but when he pulled you closer by your waist and you rocked your hips hard against where he was stiff beneath you, all nervousness and any attempt to control yourself went out the window.Â
Sucking on his tongue has you feeling lightheaded, and with soft sighs and gasps echoed between each other, it was then that you realized: Leon didnât just taste like his glasses of whiskey, he felt like them too. His lips on yours felt like the way alcohol leaves a burning sensation on your throat, working its way into your blood until youâre left hopelessly addicted.Â
When you pulled apart, he was breathing heavily, eyes filled with lust and an almost divine sense of adoration. Your hand pressed to his chest, the steady beat of his heart thrumming beneath, and you pushed him until he settled backwards. Tender kisses were blessed to his cheek, his jaw, his neck, where he tilted his head up to give you better access, and then you kissed the Adamâs apple in his throat, where he let out the sweetest moan.Â
Your lips traced downwards, and where they did, they wrote words Leon wished he could etch forever into his skin. There was a kiss on his collarbone, then one on his chest, over a faded scar. Another, on top of a bruise, and although still sore, the pain was drowned out by tingles of pleasure.Â
If itâs possible for heaven to exist on Earth, Leon thinks this might be what itâs like.Â
Somewhere down the line, his hand met yours. When exactly? He doesnât know, but what he does know is your fingers fit into the crooks of his too perfectly to be a coincidence. He knows itâs ridiculous, but it has him thinking perhaps, his hands werenât meant to fight or hold the grip of a gun. They were meant for something more like this.Â
Somewhere down the line more, heâs asking, Can I touch you? and the hand thatâs free is moving on its own the second he sees you nod, his palm exploring wherever it oh so desperately wants to. It slips under your shirt, caressing and squeezing your breasts, rolling the nipple between delicate fingers. Callouses morph his touch into a mix of rough and gentle, providing the slightest bitter reminder.Â
A moment of clarity finally befalls him when he notices your fingers playing with the drawstrings of his pants. A moment which whispers to him, Hey, this is your last chance to get a grip, are you going to take it? He chooses to pretend he didnât hear.
Actually, he chooses to go directly against the little voice in his head when he grabs your hand, his fingertips brushing against your knuckles as he starts to guide it down, down, right to where heâs craving it to be. Thereâs a gnawing hunger for more that festers in his heart, in his stomach, and in between his legs and⊠for fuckâs sake, when did he get so hard? Heâs so turned on it hurts. Was all of this just from a little kissing?Â
Heâs hopeless. Way more hopeless than he thought, way more needy than he thought. And who can blame him? Sure, he did take his frustrations out on one-night stands before, but that was a long time ago and no one has ever touched him like this or loved him so strongly, not once in his life. Certainly you canât blame him for being a little desperate.Â
So if he wants you to touch him, you will. If he wants you to make him feel good, youâll make him feel even better, all because he deserves it. He works so goddamn hard, heâs been through so much. He deserves to be happy, he deserves to be pleasured, he deserves to be loved. He deserves to have a break from how horrible the world can be and indulge in something much sweeter.
You know exactly what he needs, and so, you give it to him. Grant him a little taste to hold over his appetite. And God, when you do, Leonâs mind is so far down the gutter thereâs truly no hope of saving him.
(Not like there ever really was, anyway.)Â
âFuck,â Leon swears under his breath once you palm the shape of his dick through his pants, nearly stuttering. When he speaks again, his voice is barely uttering the words, but they roll off his mouth so effortlessly that he hardly knows what heâs saying anymore. âRight there baby, shit, just like thatâŠâ
It doesnât take long before his legs are starting to squirm and his head is tossed back, needy moans punctuated by his Adamâs apple bobbing in his throat. His hand flies to cover his mouth in an attempt to muffle the noise, and his hips rut upwards in a desperate plea for friction. Even though youâre only rubbing him through his sweatpants, the feeling that pumps through his veins, settles in his core: itâs addictive. He can feel himself sitting thick and heavy against his thigh, leaking out all over it. Your touch feels so damn good he doesnât even notice when your hand slips down, past the hem, until it starts feeling a whole hell of a lot better.
One less layer of fabric makes all the difference. You can feel the outline of his cock more prominently, big and incredibly hard, the cotton of his boxers damp and slightly see-through over the tip. He needs something to hold onto, anything, so he grabs your waist with a firm, white-knuckled grip.
The way youâre squeezing him and rolling your palm is driving him fucking crazy and he knows he canât hold back anymore, not when it feels this amazing, not when he wants it this bad. All it takes is one more grind into your hand before heâs on the edge, and when everything is tumbling over, heâs riding it out and letting it happen.Â
Cries of your name are entangled with gasps for air as he finishes, cumming right in his boxers. His back arches into you, his entire body tensing before it goes limp. His moans are so perfect, and the way he whimpers even after his release is absolutely adorable.Â
You give him a moment to catch his breath and recollect himself, his chest rising and falling with force. You reach up, brushing his messy hair from his face and tucking some strands behind his ears. Then, you lean forward, lips connecting with the nape of his neck. The skin gives between your teeth, and he sighs when you softly suck a deep mark, one you know will last âtill morning.Â
He must be so pent up. Thatâs the only explanation behind him cumming before heâs barely been touched, before youâve barely even done anything. There must be so much built up tension, so much that heâs starved for any kind of touch, so much that heâd get hard from just a kiss, from just you sitting in his lap.
You want to touch him more, give him more, give him everything until heâs whole again. You can help him relieve some of that tension, canât you?Â
You pull back, admiring the bloom of dark purple on his neck, before kissing his jaw. Then, you trail up, where you nibble his earlobe, kiss the shell of his ear, and whisper, âCan you keep going?â
Leonâs mind is in a complete daze when he answers, his voice light, like heâs high, âYeah...âÂ
Your thumb hooks around the waistband of his pants and the briefs heâs made a mess out of, and he raises his hips to help you pull both garments down just as far as necessary. You know his dick wants to come free so bad, and when it does, it springs up and taps against his abdomen.Â
Leon can hear you spit into your hand, hear his heart pounding in his ears like a drum. He knows what youâre going to do, and the anticipation might kill himâso when your hand wraps around him, the surprise causes him to jolt and his breath to catch in his throat.Â
His cock has a certain weight to it, a certain curve and thickness which makes your fist fit perfectly around it. Paying careful attention to the high he just came down from, you stroke him slowly, gently, almost in a lazy manner, sliding off of his lap and making yourself comfortable beside him so youâre able to get a more desirable grip. The mixture of his slick and your spit is enough to make your hand glide up and down easily, echoing a soft, wet sound. Your shoulder is pressed to his, and here, youâre able to utter the quietest of words into his ear.Â
âDoes it feel good?â
Leon nods, âMhmm...â
âTell me how good, then.âÂ
âReally good, really really good⊠Fuckââ Leon momentarily cuts himself off when your palm swipes against the sensitive tip, his hips rocking upwards desperately, âPlease, donât stop.â
It feels amazing. Being touched by someone else like this, and that someone being the one heâs so desperately in love with. Itâs like nothing heâs ever felt before. Itâs making his head spin, like he can see stars. Heâs already fully hard again, and he can feel himself fucking throbbing.Â
âDo you want more?âÂ
âYes,â Leon groans between sucks of air through his teeth. Heâs thrusting into your tight grip shamelessly now, his dick sliding in and out of the hole youâve made with your fingers, to the point where you donât even have to move it anymore. Heâs whimpering, getting himself off on your hand and dribbling precum all over it, all by his own doing.Â
âWhat do you want?âÂ
âI⊠YouâŠâ His attempts to get the words out mostly end in failure until you hear him swallow, and with a sigh, he admits, âI want to fuck you.â
His comment is direct, way more inappropriate than you thought possible for him to say, and goes straight between your legs. Itâs hard to keep up your previous confidence now, but still, you tease, âDo you? How bad do you want it?â
âI want it so bad, I want more of you, I want to be inside you,â Leon hisses, each sentence punctuated by a breath as he fucks your hand, âI need you so goddamn much. You donât understand.â
âYeah? You wanna fuck me so badly, huh? I can tell.â
âYes, yes⊠Fuck, Iâm gonna come again, Iâm gonnaâŠâ
You jerk him off as his thrusts take on an unsteady rhythm and all of the sudden, Leon is falling apart in your grasp, moaning as he comes all over his chest and his stomach. It shoots out in ropes, and even when he thinks heâs done, it still drips out of his cock, coating your hand and making your fingers sticky. And after everything, even once heâs come, heâs still half-way hard and thrusting slowly into your hand like he canât get enough.Â
You take your hand off of him and he whines in dismay. You lick your fingers first, then shift back on his lap and bend down, dragging your tongue from the bottom to the top. Over his stomach, over his bandages, up his abs and over his chest, all the way until heâs squirming and youâve licked up every last drop of his cum.Â
When youâre finished, you comment, âI think I understand a little.â
âUnderstand what?â Leon replies, still catching his breath.Â
âI mean I understand when you said you need me.â
âI make it that obvious, huh?â
You smirk and plant a faint kiss on his lips, one that makes his heart jump a little in his chest, and then pull back to speak against them, âYou always have.â
Leon grabs your chin and goes to drag you in for another, but heâs interrupted when youâre blabbering, âWait, wait, wait, wait,â and pulling yourself away from him.Â
âWhat?âÂ
You point to where his arm is wrapped in bandages, âI need to take care of that. Iâll give you what you want after.â
Leon canât even attempt to hide his disappointment before itâs plastered all over his face. âAre you serious? Canât it wait?âÂ
âYouâre not going to want to do it later, so no, it canât.â
He knows youâre right. Once he gets started with you, heâs not going to be able to stop, and either youâre going to forget, or both of you are going to end up too exhausted. He knows he has to listen to you, but fuck if it isnât frustrating to have to control himself right now. Honestly, heâs not sure if he can, and he definitely doesnât want to.
He needs you and heâs tired of waiting any longer, so he brazenly asks, âCan you do it while Iâm inside? On my lap?â
You brush off the vulgarity of his comment so as to not let it affect you, but itâs hard to ignore the feeling between your legs when you start to imagine it. âI canât, I canât multitask like that. I want this as badly as you do, you know.â
âI wonât move. I just want to feel you.â
He seems awfully sure of himself with that statement, so sure you almost believe him, so sure youâre starting to consider it.
âAre you sure you canât wait?â
âI canât.â
âYouâre annoyingly stubborn sometimes, you know that?â
Leon watched your hands find the bottom of your shirt, where you grasped at the hem and pulled, wrestling it over your head before tossing the article of clothing in a heap on the floor. You reached for your pants next, and he asked, âIs that a yes then?â
âIt will be if you help me.â Came your reply, your pants and underwear discarded at the same time, just as hastily.Â
âWith what?â
Your answer comes in the form of you straddling him, grabbing his hand, and bringing his fingers to your lips.Â
The sight that follows is one Leon simply canât begin to tear his eyes away from. Itâs a bit befuddling at first: the way your mouth parts, and the way you lick a prudent stripe of saliva up the length of his middle and ring finger. When you take the digits further, pushing them down your throat, wet and hot tongue swirling around them, Leonâs breath gets caught in his lungs, and itâs there that he realizes what youâre trying to do.
Your mouth strains uncomfortably as his long fingers disappear beyond your lips. âDirty little thing, this what you wanted?â Leon chuckles, a deep, rumbling one that settles in your gut and warms you to your core. âCoulda asked me to stick them in, sweetheart.âÂ
His gaze remains fixated to the display. Youâre sucking on his fingers, gagging, practically choking on them with tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. Theyâre getting all wet and messy with your spit and drool. Itâs such a fucking cocktease, and itâs making him imagine things he shouldnât be imagining, but things he absolutely needs.
He doesnât protest when you drag his fingers out, prop yourself up on your knees, and proceed to guide them right between your legs.
His middle finger runs up and down your pussy. He gets it even wetter with your slick before slowly pressing it inside, all the way to the knuckle, watching in a trance as his finger disappears into your cunt. He drags it in and out, in and out, and when you buck your hips to meet his hand, he adds another. His ring finger stretches you out deliciously, and once itâs all the way in, it makes your head spin.
Leon really, really wants to make you feel good, and thatâs the only thing running through his mind as he concentrates fully on you. On the feeling of your cunt around his fingers, on your moans, on your beautiful face. He needs to return the favor for you, and he desperately wants to see how you look when youâre overwhelmed by pleasure, hear how you sound when you canât hold back, and he wants all of it to be because of him.Â
âListen to how wet you are. It feels good, right?â He whispers, âTell me how it feels.â
âLeon,â The words barely come out, and youâre speaking through tiny gasps when you mutter, âIt feels good, really good...â
His name falling so deliciously from your lips makes his heart flutter before it goes right between his legs, making his cock throb. Itâs an abrupt, awkward realization when Leon notices heâs been dribbling precum all over his abdomen, and probably all over his bandages too. Damn, between that and him finishing all over them, heâs created more work for you, hasnât he?Â
Leon fucks you with his fingers until your legs are starting to shake. Your walls are so tight around the digits, squeezing them each time he drags them out, sucking them in greedily when he presses them inside.
Leon can feel you tightening around his fingers. He notices your breathing picking up and your body starting to tense. He drags his fingers out and brings them to your clit, and he rubs precise halos right where he can tell youâre most sensitive. Theyâre so disciplined, so dead on, and fuck, heâs teasing you with them. Rubbing your clit determinedly before slowing down, stopping, edging, before starting up again, and repeating the process. His cock aches just by watching you and knowing heâs making you come undone in this way, so heâs trying to draw this out, make this last as long as possible.Â
Your knees feel like theyâre going to give out, so you rest your hands on Leonâs shoulders for support. Your breath is coming out in ragged gasps as you feel your release already close, and when your head dips, Leon is using his free hand to hold you up, support you, lovingly muttering into your ear, âCâmon, sweet thing, wanna make you come. Think you can do that for me?â
Everything in your core builds to a fever pitch, and all at once, youâre wrapping your arms around him as you finish, clumsily grinding your hips against whatever part of his hand you can find, making it messy. His arm goes around your back, and he praises while you tremble, voice smooth and resolute, âShhh, shh, easy, baby. I got you, Iâm right here.âÂ
Leon holds you while you come down, and you almost, almost forgot what your objective was going into all this, until you can feel the bandages on his arm rubbing against your bare back.
Youâre a bit reluctant to move, but youâd be lying if you said you werenât eager for more, eager to get his cock inside you. His fingers were one thing, but they werenât enough, and almost as if he can read your mind, Leon whispers low and breathy into your ear, âYou want me to fuck you, donât you?â
Heâs asking you, but itâs mostly his way of telling you, of prompting you. Telling you he wants you too, right now. And God, you want it, need it, and you really donât need him to tell you twice.Â
Your hand finds his cock and he sighs as you pump the length a few times, getting it wet with his precum. Itâs so hard, and twitching beneath your palm. With how needy he is, itâs impossible to tell he already came two times before this.Â
You grasp the base and hover your hips over him, aligning it until the tip presses right against your entrance, prodding, teasing, so close but not quite and making your cunt pulse around nothing. He grabs your chin, tilting your head until he can look at you. His gaze meets yours, and his eyes are pooled with lust, pupils blown out wide, swallowing the blue of his iris.
âDo you want it?â He asks again, unflinching.Â
âYes, I want it, yesâŠâ
âThen take all of it.â
Leon grabs your waist and pulls, guiding you to sink down on his cock. Heâs whimpering the moment heâs inside of you, but he doesnât get greedy, continuing to drag you down awfully slow as he opts to enjoy the feeling of filling you up inch by inch.Â
Your cunt is squeezing him so much, sucking him in, taking all of him so well. Heâs not sure what to focus on: your face contorted in pleasure, eyelids fluttering closed, or the near addictive view of his dick slowly disappearing in your cunt, becoming buried further and further inside. The sight is somehow enough to make him even harder, and he canât contain himself from rolling his hips upward in tandem with pulling you on him further.Â
Itâs you, itâs him inside you, and holy shit, itâs a feeling thatâs hardly set in yet. It doesnât hit him fully until heâs stuffed into the hilt, filling your stomach, with your weight settled on top of him. In this moment, it feels as though now, more than ever, the love heâd kept hidden for so long is finally tangible, finally real. He almost moves, nearly thrusts up, but he stutters and stops himself before he can once he sees you reaching behind you for the roll of bandages.Â
Fuck, he almost forgot.Â
âThese first,â You gesture to the bandage wrapped around his sides, speaking through ragged breaths, âYou got them filthy.â
âI know. Sorry.âÂ
Despite the calm veneer youâre trying your best to maintain, itâs clear youâre hurrying, unwrapping the bandages with haste and a hint of desperation. Theyâre tossed to the side without a care when youâre done. Leonâs chest heaves with every shaky breath, so you instruct him to hold it, otherwise the bandages wonât be secure. He complies, and when he does, he can hear his heartbeat in his ears, feel it pulse in his cockâitâs near agonizing to keep still, and he hardly can.Â
When youâre finished there, you reach for his arm next. Thankfully, this wound isnât anywhere near as bad as his other one, but the press of the rag against it is still enough to give him a sharp sting. Trying to avoid hurting him too much, you slow down a bit and focus, well, as much focus as the situation will allow.Â
Leon shifts beneath you, his hips fidgeting, fingers of his hand still held deft to your waist drumming against your skin just to keep himself busy. You can tell heâs desperate for something more when you feel him twitch inside your pulsing walls. Right now, heâs so enthralled in you, in the feeling of being inside you, in being one with you. Itâs not long before the pain blends with pleasure and he doesnât even notice it anymore. Heâll let you do whatever you want to his bandages while he stares at you, drinking in the view like thisâll be his last time seeing it.Â
You wrap the roll of bandages around his arm once. Heâs shuddering, and he canât resist rutting his hips up a bit, just barely so that you wonât notice, but just enough to get an ounce of relief.Â
Twice. Youâve almost wrapped up the length of his arm. One more time, just one more time around and heâll get to fuck you.Â
Three times. Heâs so dizzy the room is spinning.Â
Four times. He canât handle being teased like this, was now really the time to be this thorough?Â
Finally, finally, after the fifth time, you wrap the last of the bandage around his arm, tear it off and tie it. The second youâve tossed the roll aside, his hands are grabbing fistfuls of your hair to pull your lips onto his. The kiss is frantic, sloppy, and heâs using way too much tongue, but you donât have the time to correct him, nor does he have the patience to be corrected.Â
When Leon pulls away, he wipes the spit from his mouth with the back of his hand while thrusting into you, wasting no time at all to satisfy everything heâd been craving and fulfill the pleasure he was desperately waiting for. His grip on your waist guides you to bounce shallowly on his cock. He doesnât let you go up far before heâs dragging you back down again, longing to stay deep inside your warm cunt. Each press down has his eyes threatening to roll back into his head, and each thrust up has him moaning a pathetic string of swears, practically whining between every word.
He reaches so deep inside you, and when he guides your body by your waist, itâs not only for him, but for your needs as well. He tilts, curved cock fucking into you at just the right angle to hit the perfect spot like he was made for it. His hips are moving with reckless abandon now, rolling upwards to an unsteady, ragged rhythm.
You hold his face, caress his parted lips with your thumb, feel his hot breath ghosting against your skin, and out of nowhere, he stops. His hips halt as he firmly holds you still, and his voice is rough, a bit hoarse when he gasps out, âGonna change positions now, that alright, sweetheart?â
Youâre a bit confused, but give an affirming nod. Leon pulls you off of him gently, slowly, savoring the feeling for as long as he can. When heâs out, he uses his strength to easily twist you around until your back is on the couch and heâs oriented above you, pulling his pants and boxers off the rest of the way and discarding them on the floor. Dark strands fall over his face in a mess, and he reaches up to comb a hand through, pushing it out of his vision so he can see all of you properly.Â
âAre you okay with this? Comfortable?â Leon asks at barely more than a whisper, his eyes locked onto yours as he grips your thighs and tenderly pushes them open. When the couch has no more space to provide and your leg is about to slip off, he grabs it and tosses it over his shoulder.Â
âYeah, Iâm okay,â you answer, continuing to say, âDonât push yourself. Youâre still injured, remember?â
âI wonât, donât worry.â He affirms with the faintest smile.Â
Leonâs never been dirty-minded, but when he looks at you, allows his hands to take to your body, palms gliding up every curve of your form, his mind canât help but wander. You bring out something in him that heâs never experienced before, something that makes him want to have his way with you.
Itâs awfully strange to himâthat feeling of wanting, of yearning. For so long, heâs wanted a lot of things and never got them, but heâs never desired something this selfish before. Every second of your time, every inch of your body, your everything, he wants all to himself. It feels good to want something, someone.Â
Yeah, maybe he shouldnât be doing this. He shouldnât have let it get this far from the start. But after a lifetime of never being selfish, never getting anything he wanted, right now, what he should or should not be doing doesnât matter. All that matters is you under him.Â
His hands settle on your hips, adjusting them until theyâre lined up with him, and then he leans down to murmur, Are you ready? and all that matters is the way you whisper back, Please just, just give it to me. I need you.
Thatâs all it takes. Thatâs all it takes before thereâs no going back, and Leon is fully drowning in this sensation of utter want and utter desperation. Heâs so easy to convince when it comes to you, always has been, and if youâre telling him that you need him? Being needed by you is the best feeling in the world, and when you ask him like that, he couldnât deny you any longer even if he wanted to.Â
Leon presses inside you steadily, colliding his mouth with yours and stealing a quick kiss to silence his moans, his stubble tickling your face as he does. Youâre still so wet, and he slides in easily, filling you up until his hips are flush with yours and your legs are wrapping around his back, crossed at the ankles.
When he pulls away, he notices your arms splayed above your head. He grabs your hand, linking his fingers with yours, his grip tight, safe, and familiar. Warm, for the first time in a long time.Â
He doesnât move, not at first. He catches his breath, stares at you, at your face, admires everything he finds perfect about it. He canât stop himself from smiling now, and from the way youâre smiling back, heâs sure he must look like an idiot. So he lets his head fall, burying his face in the nape of your neck, softly mumbling, âGod, youâre so beautiful.â
When he finally does start moving, every drag of his cock out is done at an exceptionally slow, meticulous pace, and once he presses back in, he puts his full weight behind the roll of his hips, shoving himself as deep inside as he can possibly get. His breath is hot and quivering when he moans into your skin.Â
âLook at you.â His voice is hoarse as a low groan escapes his throat. âSuch a pretty thing. You want me to go faster?â
It wasnât much of a question, more like a heads-up, because before youâre even telling him yes, Leonâs moving faster. He bites at your neck as he becomes a bit rougher, a bit less contained, but steadyâheâs still holding back.
He leaves impressions of his teeth and places wet, open-mouthed kisses all over your neck, sending a tingle up your spine. Finally, he gives you one last kiss before he draws himself away, his eyes immediately connecting with yours.Â
Heâs so damn pretty. Everything about him is pretty, from his staggered whimpers and moans in pleasure, to the lovely mark youâve left on his neck, to his hair. It frames his face perfectly, and loose strands he has to keep pushing out of the way stick to his forehead from sweat. No one gets to see him like this, with his hair down, since at work, he makes a habit of always keeping it neat. At work, heâs a totally different personâthe D.S.Oâs one of the best, if not the best, agent. But here? Heâs just yours.Â
Youâre the only one. The only person who knows how pretty he is, and what heâs really, truly like, under all that grumpiness. You know itâs just a facade, and underneath everything, heâs just someone who wants to be loved. All he desires is a little bit of intimacy, a little taste of something normal, just to feel something. Perhaps, youâre the only one who understands, or perhaps, his warmth is something you draw out of him.Â
You bet youâre definitely the only one who gets to see what his face looks like when heâs all hot and bothered, though.Â
Leonâs tempo is quickening more, the couch starting to creak under the pressure. Heâs breathing harder, and he chokes out as he fucks into you, through gasps of air, âI know you can be louder than that, donât hold back. Let me hear you.â
If what he wants is to hear you, thatâs what heâs going to get, and heâs going to get all of it.Â
âLeon, fuck,â you cry out, and you swear you hear him start to hold back his own moans so he can focus on yours. âIt feels so goodââ
âFeels good? Yeah?â He teases, a little smirk present on his face. He still hasnât broken eye contact with you, fawning over you with blown pupils and a half-lidded gaze like heâs so unbelievably head over heels. His voice drips with sarcasm when he speaks again, âHavenât even been fucking you for that long.â
Leonâs grip remains tight on your hand as he drinks in every noise that comes out of your mouth. The sun is well past the point of dipping below the horizon, rays of light starting to fade away. The room is growing dark, growing dim, illuminated by only the faintest glow, but through it all, you can still see the outline of his face, his body. His nose, soft jawline, and broad shoulders. If Leon had more patience, heâd get up and turn on a light, but he doesnât, so this will have to do.Â
The sound of skin slapping against skin echoes around the room. He hardly cares about chasing his own release, just about enjoying it and making you feel good, but multiple times, he finds himself having to deliberately slow down to keep from finishing too quickly.Â
He can feel his body tensing up, but each time he gets too close to the edge, he shoves himself all the way in and stays there, letting himself calm down. His cock is throbbing, and holy shit, he wants to cum so bad. So bad that if he moves even the slightest inch right now, heâs not going to be able to hold back, but he has to. He has to when you get impatient, rut your hips against his, and plead, Leon, move. Please.Â
He wants this moment to last, so heâs going to hold on for as long as he possibly can, staving off his orgasm until he just canât take it anymore. He gives himself a couple more moments to come down from the euphoria before heâs fucking you again, giving you everything you want.Â
Leon holds himself off, for longer, for further than he even thought possible. Even when he wants to cum so bad heâs fucking delirious, he holds it, focusing on giving it to you just how you want, just how you beg him to.
Youâre begging for him to go faster, Fuck me harder, I can take it. Fuck me like you really mean it. And you and him both know, whatever you ask him to do, heâs going to do it. His side is starting to hurt, a little dull throb, but he ignores the pain when itâs overwhelmed by waves of pleasure.Â
Heâs already snapping his hips again, groaning against your mouth as he presses his lips onto yours, eyes fluttering closed at how perfectly you mold around his cock and take him so well.
He needs you, he needs this, and heâs needed someone to fuck like this for far, far too long. Itâs like heâs taking out his frustrations on you, all of his resentment, and all of that pent up desperation heâs had for so long now, everything building and building until it explodesâuntil he fucks you like heâs unable to quit.Â
The sounds coming from the both of you are so obscene, so loud they can probably be heard a few apartments over. Leon is still holding your hand, never letting go, and his grip is clammy and sweaty, but he still holds onto it tight. He can feel you beginning to tense around him, and when he does, he doesnât relent. He keeps up the same pace, just how you like it, hitting the perfect spot inside you every single time. The way your pussy squeezes around him is making his head spin, and when he once again finds himself right on the precipice, he knows itâs over, he canât hold back anymore.Â
He canât stop, thereâs no way in hell he can. Not with your moans and screams and chants of his name in his ear. Not when your cunt is throbbing around his cock, so hungry for his cum, so demanding of all of him.
His hand reaches down and fumbles to find your clit, and when he does, he rubs clumsy, rough circles that quickly build up a tight coil of pleasure right in your core. His head dips and he presses even closer to your body. Your hand snakes into his hair, fingers threading through close to his scalp where you grab and yank back hard, drawing a needy whine from his lips.Â
âGonna fill you up, plug you full of my cum, yeah?â Leon grunts in between sharp thrusts, voice husky and desperate, helpless, âI bet youâd like that, wouldnât you?âÂ
He can hardly speak, and each thrust of his hips is sloppy and inconsistent. Between his dick fucking butterflies into your stomach and his fingers messily working your sensitive clit, the stimulation is growing too much to handle, and you canât deny him. You canât when he speaks like that, when he sounds like he needs it so goddamn bad.
Before you know it, youâre gripping his hair tighter and murmuring, Do it, Leon.
âYeah? You want all of it? Thenââ He cuts himself off, ramming into you one more time before his hips are shaking, his whole bodyâs shaking, actually, and heâs whispering, âTake it, take all of it.â
Leonâs holding onto your hand so hard his grip might break it, and his voice in your ear is enough to throw you over the edge. You cry out, cunt pulsing hard around him. The steady throb around his cock feels like itâs milking him, pleading for every last drop heâs willing to give, everything he has left. And heâs going to give it to you, pump you full of his cum and not even let a single drop go to waste.
Itâs what you want, after all.Â
Everything, itâs so overwhelming, itâs too much, itâs nothing like Leon has ever experienced in his life. Heâs shaking so hard and he canât stop it, and his vision has gone so blurry he canât see a thing, all he can see is black. He can hardly breathe, just feebly choking on air as he fills you with ropes of his warm cum. When heâs finally done, the feeling that overtakes him is utterly euphoric.Â
Itâs like heâs floating. His body goes limp, and his heart is pounding, but heâs calm. Incredibly calm, like finally letting go, vulnerable, allowing the waters to take you wherever they so choose. Heâs tired, so tired, but not a heavy, exhausted kind of tired. The sleepy kind of tired that holds you tight and weighs you down, that promises to take care of you and if anything, never lets you go.
It envelops him until heâs slipping away, and itâs kind of like, kind of likeâŠÂ
Itâs kind of like dying, isnât it?Â
Leonâs body pins you to the couch as you both come down from your high. The both of you are covered in sweat and smell undeniably like sex. Heâs so close, so warm, to the point where you start to feel hot, but his weight pressed on top of you feels nice. Itâs comforting, feels safe and puts your mind at ease.Â
For a while, the two of you lay there, relaxing and letting yourselves sober up. His heartbeat is slowâyou can feel it through his chest pressed up against yours, and eventually, the rhythm of your heart begins to match his. Heâs still inside, still holding your hand, but through a much looser grip. His head is nestled in the space next to yours and you can feel his steady breaths fan out on your neck, tickling the shell of your ear.Â
Heâs quiet, really quiet. His breathing is so deep⊠Is he falling asleep?Â
âLeon?â
No response. None.Â
âLeon. Hey.â You squeeze his hand and shift a little bit under him, wiggling like youâre attempting to push him off of you, although thereâs clearly no real effort put behind it.Â
Nope, nothing. He doesnât move an inch. Heâs got to be out cold.Â
âCome on,â You drag your hand away from his to shake him a little by his shoulders, and it seems like your grip disappearing was enough to wake him up a little. He shifts, just the tiniest amount, and you continue, âLeon, I know you can hear me.â
He doesnât move, again. Just grumbles in your ear.Â
You sigh in defeat. Fine, he can lay on you for a little bit longer. His injury might be hurting him. He did work himself really hard, after all. If heâs exhausted, he can rest, he deserves to get some. You run your fingers through his hair, stroking the back of his head, listening to the constant inhale and exhale of his breath.Â
The moment is oddly peaceful, considering what just transpired. The room is covered in a thick darkness now. Itâs deathly still and incredibly silent, save for the distant whistle of a train passing by somewhere in the city, but it feels like you and him are the only ones to exist in this world.Â
Leon is just barely awake, teetering on the edge of falling asleep for real. His weight on top of you and the rhythm of his breathing might be enough to lull you to sleep as well, that is, until he starts mumbling in your ear.Â
âLove you. So much.â His voice is groggy and tired, to the point where itâs difficult to tell what heâs even saying. You can make it out close enough, thankfully.Â
âI love you too.â
âThank you.â
You laugh half-heartedly, âWhat are you thanking me for?â
âEverything.â He replies simply, and finally, he decides heâs ready to get up, pushing himself off of you with a large exhale of breath, his muscles feeling weary and spent.Â
He meets your gaze and asks, âAre you okay?â
âYeah, Iâm okay.â You nod.Â
Leonâs eyes briefly rake up and down your body before he slowly pulls out, flopping back hard against the couch with an annoyed groan.Â
âMy side fucking hurts.â
âI wonder why.â You push yourself up on your elbows, staring at him with a knowing look. âI told you not to push yourself too far.âÂ
âYou were the one babbling about âGo fasterâ this and âGo harderâ that. I think itâs your fault.â
âNo way⊠Leon.âÂ
âYeah?â
âYou got any more drinks?âÂ
Leon laughed. A real, genuine laugh. Now thatâs something he never does.Â
âLetâs get dressed. Then, Iâll check it.â
He turns on a light resting on top of a table beside the couch. He outright refuses to allow you to put on your dirty clothes, stopping you when you went to reach for them on the floor. From his room, he brings you some of his clothes, and some for himself as well. He takes care of you first, kissing your forehead as he pulls a shirt over you, gently lifting you by your hips to pull on a pair of his boxers and pajama pants.
He dresses himself next, hastily, before rummaging around his apartment to find where he left his flask. Actually, itâs your metal flask that you leant him at the hospital. He hasnât had the opportunity to fill it up because heâs been resting at home, so heâs been trying extra hard to make the remaining whiskey last.
How much was left again? Thereâs probably enough in it. He shakes the flask to check, andâŠÂ
So less. Might be just a few sips, actually. Did he really drink that much? It goes by so fast.Â
âHere,â he muses, walking over to where youâre laid back on the couch and showing you the near-empty flask.Â
âI guess weâre sharing again,â You reply with a smile.Â
âGuess so.â
Itâs not long before you accompany Leon to the balcony. The night air is cold, and thereâs the slightest hint of a chilly breeze passing through. He removes the cap from the flask, breathing in the sweet scent as he brings it to his lips, savoring the smooth whiskey as it goes down his throat. The familiar warmth quickly spreads throughout his body. You stand close, holding his arm, leaning on him.Â
Leon canât help but feel strangely euphoric. Now that heâs getting back to reality and sorting things out in his head, heâs pretty sure he totally shouldnât have done this. Heâs letting himself grow closer to you. Whatâs going to happen when you die? When he dies? When one of you is killed in the line of work, itâs not going to be fair to the other. Itâs not fair to fall in love with someone when you always tow the line between living and dying.
Itâs not fair. In another life, maybe he would have a better chance with you. Maybe you two could be a regular couple, be normal for a change. But he canât change the past, can he? All that waits for him is the future.
And if you die, itâs going to kill him. Itâs going to be the death of him, and he knows it.Â
âWill you stay the night tonight?â Leon asks, ending the silence, taking a swig out of the flask before swallowing and watching the starry night sky. The liquor immediately soothes his aching body, and with you pressed close to him, all he can feel is total relaxation through his veins.Â
âYeah, I can.â
âGood. Because I donât want you to leave.â
âI wonât leave any time soon, then.â
A little smirk forms on Leonâs lips, and as he goes to take another sip, you push against him, pouting. âYou were supposed to share.â
âI will. Hang on a sec.â
Leon tips his head back, takes another swig, holds it in his mouth. He turns to you then, and he grabs your chin firm, tilting it up to where he leans over you. In an instant, his lips press against yours in an open-mouthed kiss and your eyes flutter shut in response.Â
He pours the whiskey into your mouth slowly and steadily, and when he pulls away, itâs only enough to let stray huffs rise in the space between the two of your mouths.
Leon accidentally swallowed some of it, so thereâs nothing more left for you, but the whiskey still pricks at your throat, still gives you that familiar burning sensation. Maybe you should complain and ask him to give you a proper sip, but his kiss is just as addicting as any alcohol, so honestly, you donât really care.Â
âHow was that?â He asks quietly, pulling away to give you a chance to breathe.Â
âAnother?â
He smiles, âOf course.â
Heâs so easy to convince when it comes to you.
â â â â â â â â â â â â â Â Â Â *
Leon falls asleep by your side.Â
He drifts off with his frame pressed against your back. His whole bed smells like him, and his blanket and sheets are soft. As his arm is splayed over your body, his hand is connected to yours, holding gently where it lays delicately in front of your face. You can feel his heartbeat against your back, his gentle embrace clutching you closer to his body, the warmth radiating off of him, his breath hot against your neck.Â
For the first time in a long, long time, Leon doesnât dream of that doomed city, or of people dying right before his eyes. He dreams of something much more serene. His own slice of heaven, in this wretched hell.Â
He dreams of a future with you.Â
And even though he knows in the back of his mind that itâs going to end tragically, he doesnât care. Even though heâs aware heâs going to die, you are going to die, and just how soon you both might die, too, he ignores it. Forgets about it.Â
Itâs selfish. So, so selfish of him. But heâs stopped looking at himself objectively. Heâll only look to the future, with no turning back, and it doesnât matter how unattainable that future might be.Â
Heâs going to love you until the end.Â
And besides, thereâs no one else whoâs arms heâd rather die in than yours.

leon and his lazy touches !
it's usually quite common to be in that position with Leon when you're both in bed. after a long day of work, both on his part and yours, you both end up lazily lying in bed not wanting to do much, just with your social battery completely discharged looking for silent company with each other with your bodies glued together providing warmth to each other.
this was more common than it seemed: him on his cell phone scrolling through the latest news, or memes with really bad jokes that made him giggle, and you watching silly relaxing videos on your cell phone. every once in a while one of you would leave the silence and show the other the cell phone. "oh my god, look at this video..." you'd say, or he'd put the phone in front of your face while laughing like a fool at some meme he got from the most neglected social network on the internet (facebook, from a group of older wives, all complaining about their husbands) but apparently that was the epitome of comedy for your boyfriend. and you sometimes made fun of him, or laughed more because of that complicity he had with you to show you anything and bother you, hiding in your neck while you made fun of his poor taste for humor. sometimes he would pout falsely and you would let him, ending up letting go of your cell phone and placing it on your chest to gently cuddle his hair until he fell asleep.
sometimes he was too immersed reading news on his cell phone, any shit about the current politics of the country, or about news from all over the world about the rulings of justice and those things that he was already so used to but that, beyond that, was what he was dedicated to and interested in. that's why he didn't notice the little tricks he had when his mind was wandering in another dimension. like he inevitably sought to be the big spoon, at all costs. he would hog your whole body with his body sticking his chest to your back as you cowered and followed without paying much attention to him. sometimes his free hand is on your butt, he loves to squeeze something while he's focused on something else, and sometimes your butt became his favorite stim toy. when that stops being enough, he reaches for your boobs.
you giggle, it's quite tender because it's not a sexual touch, at least not at that moment, but he does need to fondle them, knead them, gently scratch the moldable skin of your breasts and that relaxes you, you're not going to lie. it even makes you let out soft giggles when he puts down his cell phone and starts his light chats of what you did in the day... and his hand is still there. almost like marking territory with gentle squeezes that you let be, you know that was something he loved and relaxed him, and in your eyes, he deserved every little thing from you, just as you did from him. you couldn't deny it, especially when he squeezed your chest again and again under your shirt making you laugh while he kept chattering about his job. only then did he realize it and apologize, but he blatantly kept his hand. "it's just that they're soft..." he excused himself, kissing your hair and sinking into it enthusiastically.
your whole body was his temple of rest, he couldn't simply rest in bed if he didn't have you by his side. it was no use if he couldn't touch you, feel you, kiss you every time he wanted to. there was no need for them to talk, each one would be in his own little world for a while, but that habit of having your body next to him he would love for the rest of his life. because thanks to you, he can rest.

HOME WITH YOU, leon s. kennedy.
the sappy father of your daughter, in the midst of his tough life. older!leon kennedy x afab!reader, pure fluff.

LEON KENNEDY was a lot of things, he was a tease, kind of annoying even though your eyes still watch him with a certain kind of tenderness when he drawls out a terrible joke because you know itâs how he copes. he was complex, the governmentâs best tool in hand, someone who carried a weary yet brave soul, but above all of that, he was a fatherâa sappy one, at that.
he never used to be a vulnerable person, too used to crying in isolation or behind closed doors, but still rarely, masking his hurt with cheesy jokes and playful remarks without realising how heavy his body felt carrying the weight of his world, but then he met you, and he finally realised that maybe, vulnerability wasnât so dauntingâso ever since, heâs never ceased to hold back.
even though now Leonâs pretty sure you can hear him sniffle in every home video heâs taken since your daughter was born, from her first word to her first steps.
he still has her first homemade fatherâs day card from kindergarten, a drawing thatâs barely recognisable as your family, his family, smeared along the front page in too many colours of crayons but he still insists on keeping it in his wallet everyday, because he still remembers the way his baby girlâs smile looked like both yours and his when she handed it over, and how the slight tremble of his lip gave away the fact that he was probably going to cryâagain.
and now itâs just a sunday, but Leon is so in loveâhe realises as he sits at the table, snorting quietly to himself because here he isâat thirty eight years old, with a daughter who resembled youâand youâre still the face that greets him by the door everyday when he comes home from yet an another grueling mission, because itâs still you.
he knows that if he turns around youâll just be in the kitchen, barefoot on cold tiles and dropping a few extra sugar cubes into his coffee because you know itâs what he likes.
thereâs candid photos lining the hallway and thereâs one on his desk at work, three pairs of shoes at the door and a wall in the corner of your shared bedroom thatâs covered in crayon even though heâs hidden it behind some old drawers so you wouldnât see.
Leon leans back on his chair and meets your gaze from in the kitchen and you narrow your eyes when he grins at you, cheeky and a little smug before he sighs, but you know itâs less because heâs tired and more because heâs home.
his daughter is sitting in her high chair, scribbling on paper while babbling about something in sentences that arenât quite coherent enough to understand yet while he remains in his gear, a little lazy to remove it just yet after returning home, sitting beside her and listening intently while humming out a mixture of âyeah?â and âno way!â before she turns to look at him with eyes that glimmer like his even though theyâre shaped like yours and sheâs giggling like she holds the worldsâhis worlds happiness in her little body and Leon sniffles because he thinks that maybe she really does.
âare you crying?â you giggle, a little suspiciously as you lean over his figureâplacing down his cup of coffee onto the table infront of him before your arms are looping around his shoulders, and you feel him relax into the touch before his glassy eyes are on you and you know thereâs love in your life, because they still gleam with an unfiltered look of genuine happiness as the dirty blond peaks of his hair frame the warmth blooming on his cheeks.
âme? i ainât cryinâ!â heâs quick to answer and both you and your daughter hum in a way that says youâre both not convinced before her smaller voice sounds through the room.
âdaddy is crying again.â she giggles, smiling at you and you snort before choosing to stay quiet, watching the corners of Leonâs lips twitch into a dopey grin thatâs still cheeky, and a little proud, despite the tremble of his lips as he leans forward, resting his large palm gently on your daughters head before he shoots her an exasperated look through teary eyes.
âhey! remember who sneaks you desserts before dinner...â he tells your daughter, words hushed as if itâs a secret even though youâve known all along but you still bat playfully at his chest, just so you can feel his hand intertwine with yours before heâs kissing you once on the wrist, then turning to place another on your cheek.
âLeonâare you bribing our daughter with desserts?â you smile, throwing your head back and allowing yourself to laugh and Leon softens at the sound because itâs warm and pretty and sounds so much like home, that it only makes him begin to blink a little more as he breathes deep and drawls out a âwould i ever do such a thing, baby? donât you trust me?â
his voice still manages to lilt to a tease before it breaks into a laugh of his own and his daughters smile spreads just like yours does when he shoots her a teary eyed wink.
because moments like these make Leon want to live forever, the triumph after the trials and your happy little family of three on just a regular sunday, your daughter still looks at him with stars in her eyes despite the tears in his and love hangs so tenderly around the room.
love blooms, like always and suddenly the word forever feels even more real because happiness is hereâand itâs this, and Leon knows that this is the kind of love that heâd seek again and again, in this lifetime and every one afterâas long as it was with you.

I'm thinking about retired D.S.O. Agent and now househusband!Leon S. Kennedy, who's always keeping the house and the garden in check. You come home from work to be greeted by a fervent kiss, seeing your man wearing his signature long-sleeved button shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black pants, and an apron tied around his waist like he's the epitome of sex and god in one.
He leads you by the bathroom to where he drew you a warm bubble bath to soothe out the stress and muscle tensions away. His hands immediately peeling off your clothes, helping you get on tub as he starts shampooing your hair and scrubbing your skin gently with your favorite scented body wash while he massages you.
Leon's an excellent cook, it's a basic survival skill that he has perfected ever since he graduated from the police academy. You can see the way how he plates every dish beautifully, right amount of spice and flavor, ensuring that you're always fulfilled.
Leon wakes up early in the morning for a jog, returning home with a bag of groceries as he starts preparing breakfast. He'll always wake you up with a kiss or more, before setting up a tray to have breakfast in bed complete with a small flower vase just as you've always had it.
Leon who intentionally wears deliciously tight-fitting shirts just to entice you, catching you gawk at him shamelessly but he doesn't mind. It means that he's only your's and you're only his.
His hugs are comforting like a teddy bear keeping you snug and warm for the rest of the day. His touches are familiar, tracing every inch and line of your skin, feeling all of you. His kisses are lingering, taking it slow to ensure that he can taste you thoroughly, there's never a day without his kisses.
And of course, he never lets you leave home for work without hickeys and bites littered around your skin, your nipples swelling and puffy, and not without his hot cum plugged up inside of you, giving him the satisfaction that he successfully bred you, keeping your tummy full and whole of his seed.
Request?
I need Leon starting to date a girl with curly hair and he LOVES her curls and tries to learn how to style them
i'm not sure how you want me to format this im sorry so i'll just write like a list of hcs GRRRRRRR but i love the curly hair stuff HEHHEEHHE
content: fluffy leon kennedy with fem curly-haired! reader
synopsis (?) : leon kennedy has a curly-haired girlfriend :3
-leon's hair has ALWAYS been straight ash so when he saw you and the way you took care of your curl he was like woah :0
-it's like a level of enlightenment to him lol (jk)
-this man will always look at you while he has the chance so you can expect him to pick up on your routines. sometimes he'll be present in the bathroom while you're doing your little hair pampering routine and he's like 'so what's that?' and points at a bottle and u have to explain it to him LMAO
-no matter what the length (hell you could be bald) leon loves your head because 1. it holds your pretty lil face 2. your HAIR
-and idk i just have a general hunch that this man just loves carding his fingers through your hair or your head a lot (as you can notice from my first works lol)
-and leon is MESMERIZED by your curls everytime. whenever leon is standing behind you at a queue or waiting for you to finish doing something, like say putting your makeup on, his hands will absentmindedly bounce on the ends of your curls and just watch them go boioioiioioing
-there was a time when you were at a night bar with leon and some other friends. you guys were sat on stools and your back was turned to him while you were conversing with your friend, and leon just kept bouncing the ends of your curly locks because it's like a satisfying fidget to him.
-he loves the shape, the texture, the way it feels in his fingers (especially when he pulls on it in bed oops im sorry hehe)
-and tbh what can i say? leon likes taking care of you and that can apply to different parts of your everyday life; before you go to sleep he reminds you to take your vitamins, and whenever you come home and he's there he will undo your shoelaces :3. but he will NEVER forget to brush your hair (especially if it's long as hell, he knows ur arms probably get tired brushing through it and applying product through it)
-if you were bashful at first and said it was okay, he insisted with a lighthearted and joking tone. he's like 'i got the strength for this c'mon gimme that brush NEOWWW'
-HE WILL PRINCESS YOU LIKE THIS SASSY PRINCESS OF A MAN WILL PRINCESS U
leon loves to approach his pretty girl while she's perched in front of the mirror. he sees you brushing your wet curly locks and, silently, walks up to you from behind. he's a rather silent man right now while he takes your hairbrush from your hands, your arm slowly stopping its brushing motions as you looked up at his reflection; him being behind you while his eyes are downcast to your locks. "and where's my love going?" he asks with a mild tease. he knows you're going out somewhere because you seem to smile a little more when you're anticipating some plans. you giggled while feeling leon gently brush your hair with tenderness. maybe by narration it sounds obscure, but he adores the back of your hair while you're rambling about your day so far and where you're heading off to next. "so she's a busy girl. hm?" leon grins slightly, eyes locked onto your soft hair while he helps in spreading moisturizing product (rather expensive product that leon willingly paid for u bc, well, he loves you like that) on your hair in moderate amounts, being careful not to accidentally pull your head back or something lol. his fingers tread and work caringlyâ and he even scratches his fingertips on your scalp lightly and briefly to top it off ⥠he continues the rest of the brief conversation with his thumb gently stroking your wispy baby hairs, and you're just so cute to him he just wants to eat u tbh
-and whether you want him to put some lil bows, ribbons, clips or extensions in it is up to you. you probably have an array of hair accessories and leon memorizes all of them. he knows when one is new and which ones are the ones you've always had in your dresser/vanity.
-speaking of, leon LOVES seeing you accessorize your hair. beads, hairclips, anything that furtherly charms your pretty hair literally makes him melt you have this man in an entirely different state of matter atp he just loves you sm argghh. one time you let him put some little butterfly clips in your hair after teaching him how they're clipped on and you had leon WHIPPED the entire time in front of that vanity âĄ
-omfg and leon does this thing where whenever he's hugging or cuddling you from behind, he nuzzles his face in the back of your head and start inhaling your hair like you're some sort of freshly-washed pillow. it tickles a little for you and he can feel your frame repulsing or squirming in his arms but leon doesnt rlly care lol (he's kinda sorry)
-i feel like leon has more of a tendency to ruffle your curly hair if it's short, maybe like above shoulder length or something.

Slight Death Island Spoilers if you haven't watched it yet
"You're alright though, right? No injuries whatsoever?"
You were finally able to get a hold of your husband, Leon, who had been away for a mission at Alcatraz Island. All thanks to Hunnigan of course.
"Don't worry love, I'm fine. Other than getting infected by the T-Virus, I'm a-okay." Leon's deep voice rang through the phone. However, his words only added to your worries.
"Wait, you were infected?!?" You questioned, immediately sitting upright as you panicked slightly. "Did you get treated? You're not infected still, right?"
"Calm down, darling. I already said I'm fine, didn't I? I'm no longer infected, so don't worry your pretty head over that."
You sighed in relief, and leaned back in your seat. "I see... Thank god. You have no idea how much I've been worrying when Hunnigan told me you weren't contactable for three whole hours."
Leon's chuckle rang through your ears, as he spoke on the line once again.
"I'm sorry. Things were just tough.. But I'm back now." You could hear some sort of relief in his voice, and that only made you smile.
"Yeah. You're back. But you're not home. Why's that?"
You heard him groan over the phone before speaking, "D.S.O's keeping me back to run some tests on me to make sure I'm all okay. They've been keeping me here for hours..!"
"Oh, I see. That's good." You murmured, relief washing all over your face.
"No, that's not good." You heard him huff through the phone.
"Huh?"
"That's not what you're supposed to say my love."
"You're supposed to go along the lines of 'Come home Leon!' or 'I miss you babe!'... Not 'Oh, that's good.'" You couldn't help but laugh at his response, shaking your head in amusement.
"Come home, Leon."
You knew he was smiling widely behind the phone, as he replied, "Coming right now, my love."

Can u write some Older Leon x Younger Reader headcannons?đ€
OHOHOHO YES! eat well my children ;) ----------------------------------------------------
-Leon loves it when your face slightly rubs up against his stubble - you always make a grossed-out expression, but oh how he loves it -Calls you "darling," "princess," "sweetheart" and any other pet name he thinks fits the love of his life. some are pretty corny, but you let him call you whatever his heart desires -He makes a lot of noises. getting up? old man noise. sitting down? old man noise. moving??? old man noise. you tease him for it, but he really can't help it -Constantly makes sure you're okay with the age difference. the last thing he would want is to make you uncomfortable. even when the two of you are MARRIED he constantly stresses over it, no matter how many times you tell him you love him -He's been thru a lot. please love this man. when he comes home from yet another long mission, he gets very clingy. he loves it when you let him lay on your chest, massaging his head and placing soft kisses on his forehead. as soon as you touch his head he lets out a big sigh, finally feeling relaxed after a long time of being constantly on alert -His kisses tickle. so. much. again with the stubble- he'll place kisses all over your body, his stubble prickling your sensitive skin. you pretend you hate it, but you secretly love it (more about this...)
MORE OLDER LEON HEADCANNONS!!!
I thought I would take advantage of me and @pixieishottogo 's older Leon brain rot AND also answer this ask that had been sitting in my inbox (SORRY!!) anyways.... infinite darkness Leon supremacy <3 đ€ - No silliness (if you know what I mean) but Leon gets a little mischievous at the end đ€ - calls reader 'princess' đ€ - An older Leon was in mind while writing this, but to each their own :)

stubble.
The moon is piercing through the windows, various lamps and small lights illuminate the space around you. Soft jazz is quietly playing in the background. Itâs approximately 2 AM, and instead of being honked out and snoozing in your warm comfortable bed, youâre hunched over the stove, cooking a warm meal for your husband, Leon, to come back to. He had been called to an impromptu mission earlier that day, and you just knew he wouldnât be coming home at a reasonable time. So, you sacrifice your precious sleep and prepare a home-cooked meal for him to enjoy as he rests his aching body. You softly rub your droopy sleepy eyes, picturing a sad Leon standing in front of the microwave heating up some instant ramen. That is NOT how your husband is going to look tonight, and you were sure of it. Who knows how much time had passed, it seemed like these noodles would never be done, and maybe, just maybe, you could rest your eyes a littleâŠ. It couldn't hurt, right?
As sleep seductively enchants you, a hot prickly sensation overtakes you as haunting lips plant on your neck. Large sturdy arms slither around your waist, and just before you could scream bloody murder, a familiar husky voice appears. âWell well, what is this? Isnât it a bit late for a princess like you to be awake?â Leon whispers, kissing your cheek as those last words exit his mouth. Your body immediately relaxes, the threat of a (very hot) murderer killing you as you're making homemade ramen no longer exists. Through an obviously fatigued voice, you reply, removing your hand from the pot to rest upon his scarred hand. âI didnât want you to come home lonely and hungry..â You feel the heat rise to your cheeks, realizing how corny that sounded out loud. (Or maybe it was the steam from the noodles) Leonâs arms squeeze you gently, his head moving back to your neck. âMmm⊠How sweet of you, now I feel guilty for not bringing you anything as a repayment.â Then and there you could tell what mischievous plan he was formulating in his beautiful brain. He knew your weakness, HE KNEW very well what it would do to you. And perhaps just wanting to see you squirm, he did just that. Once again pleasant goosebumps arise from your neck as Leon kisses your neck, purposely letting his stubble graze your sensitive skin. You start to giggle, his touch heating up your whole body. Just like he imagined, you squirm beneath his touch, softly grasping at his arms that were keeping you captive. Oh but he doesn't stop, in fact it almost encourages him to keep going. It feels like lava is pooling in your stomach, and butterflies are traveling up your throat, transforming into those sugary sweet giggles he craves to hear. His steamy breath ricochets off your neck, teasing you for more. âHave I messed with you enough dear? I don't think so⊠maybe just one mor-â The sound of bubbles boiling over the stove interrupts his snarky torture, and immediately reminds you that you were supposed to be watching the noodles. âOh..â You squeak. Leon finally releases you, spinning you around to look at him while also turning the heat down on the stove. Placing one calloused hand along your jaw, he kisses your lips softly. âThank you for this love, but after we eat, don't think Iâm done with you..â He winks.

re4 ! leon kennedy x gn reader [they / them]
sypnosis: leon finds a box tucked away in his closet filled with polaroids of him and his first partner, [name]. (meant to be viewed as romantic / ex-lovers)
the lowercase is intentional !
- warnings: character death, zombies & other, typical resident evil stuff.

packing up for spain, leon happened to find a box in his closet. it was old, pushed away to the corner and pretty dusty. leon couldn't even guess what was inside of there. it just seemed so.. old and out of place.
curious, leon pulled the box out of the closet and he decided to open it. surely, nothing bad could be inside it. he's seen zombies and infected, and there was no way one of those things could fit in such a small box.
leon wiped off the top of the box to get some of the dust off of it. "memories of 1996-1998" leon murmured as he read what was written on the box in sharpie.
leon was confused, to say the least. he never remembered having such a box. but then again that was probably because it was tucked away, never to be seen again after he went away for government training.
of course, leon was curious. he thought that the box could do no harm, after all it did say it was just about memories. perhaps it was just random trinkets from those 6, 8 years ago. surely it was no harm.
the man cautiously opened the box, putting the lid of it to the side. immediately, he saw some polaroids and even a polaroid camera. there also seemed to be some sort of dog plush tucked away in the corner of the box.
leon couldn't remember any of the contents of the box. maybe it was due to all the trauma he faced in racoon city that made him forget? or was it the intense training he recieved that made him forget silly things like those inside the box?
soon enough, the contents of the box were emptied and littered across leon's bedroom floor. there were piles of polaroids now laying there, each telling a different story. leon had to take a closer look. he had to find out why this box was in his possession in the first place.
leon's eyes trace over each photo. they seemed to be either of himself, another person or himself and this mysterious person. some of the photos had captions and writings at the bottom, yet some others didn't.
leon's hand lingers over one specific photo. with a little bit of hesitation, he picks it up and scans its contents. he hopes to get some sort of recognition about what's going on inside the polaroid.
"first date. 17/09/1996." is what the caption on the photo reads. there's no significance to leon about the date yet, but there's some sort of familiarity about it lingering in the back of his mind.
two people are smiling in the photo, standing infront of what seemed like a movie theatre. leon was holding some popcorn in his hands, whilst the other person was holding some drinks. the polaroid was blurry, but there was a blush on leon's cheeks at the time the photo was taken.
leon smiled at himself. the photo was quite heartwarming and it helped him take his mind off the mission he was going to face soon.
yet, leon still couldn't remember the person in these photos. he hoped looking at a few more would jog his memory.
leon's fingers grazed over another photo. it happened to be photo taken from leon's birthday in 1997. the anxiety leon felt was rising, but he didn't know why. he still couldn't recognise the other person in the photo, but his stomach still churned as he looked at them.
leon is sat at a table in the picture. it's his 20th birthday and there's a cake infront of him with a candle reading his age. the person was leaning over to leon, giving the birthday boy a kiss on the cheek.
a sigh escaped from leon's lips as he smiled at the picture. he shook his head as he thought about the times before everything. the times before umbrella corp, the times before the zombies and the t-virus and the times before he became a cop.
leon still couldn't remember who his other person was. they were becoming more and more familiar but he couldn't put a name on them.
it was clear they were an important part of leon's life. or, well, leon's past life. when he was somewhat happier than he is now.
the way leon smiled in the photos, blushed, shared kisses or laughs with the other person.. leon started to miss it. he definitely had a blast those 6, 8 years ago, when his mind was still innocent and not tainted by the horrors that he saw.
leon decided to pick up another polaroid. this time, it was one just of the person. it happened to be that leon took this one of the person.
they were smiling at the camera, posing slightly and overall having a good time. leon couldn't help but smile back, imagining that he was also in the picture with them.
then, leon read the caption. it wasn't anything much, but it was a short and sweet caption.
"i love you, [name]." leon read from the polaroid. "17/09/1997". it seemed to be that the photo was from leon and [name]'s 1st year anniversary.
[name].. the name rung a bell in leon's mind. well, of course it did. it had to. the two dated for 2 years and leon is now pretty certain that [name] was his first partner.
but suddenly.. leon's face drops. he finally realises who [name] is, or really, what happened to them. he knew who [name] was anyway, but it seemed as if his mind was blocking off everything that happened to them because of the trauma leon had faced. but he remembered.
leon remembered the screams of agony, the pain, the copius amounts of blood he saw pouring out from them.
leon killed [name].
it wasn't his choice, really. it was more of a last wish from [name]. their last words.
"kill me, leon. save me from this torture. i don't want to turn you too." were the sobs that fell from [name]'s mouth as they pleaded for leon to shoot them.
how did leon forget about such a pivotal moment in his life? he had forgotten about his first love, his best friend, his everything.
"oh god.." leon mumbled to himself as he remembered everything. he scowered to clean everything up.
he realised why he didn't know this box existed in the first place. his mind purposely blocked everything out so it could save him from the memories and the pain.
[name] was infected, and leon was the only one around. leon had to shoot them to save himself, and he did.
leon knows he did the right thing, but it still hurts. he carries guilt and weight that was buried until now, having resurfaced due to some polaroids.
frantically, leon put all the photos back into the box before he put the box back into his closet. he wiped his face, not realising that a few tears had fallen during his trip down memory lane.
leon sighs and he closes his closet, turning away from it. he continues to put everything into his suitcase, ready to go to spain.
he hopes nothing bad will happen, but his hopes are too high. there was no way that rescuing the president's daughter in an area of spain where people have been going missing will go well...
at least leon has the memories of [name], even if he was trying to forget them and had successfully done so for years. but now he could think of the photos, and try not to think of the zombies and the guilt he had.
leon sighed, yet again. he got up and left his home. it was time for a new mission...
