Let Me Touch You - Adam Stanheight / Reader

Adam Faulkner Stanheight was sitting at the far end of the park, you could see him through the trees, looking rather lonely. You quickened your speed so that you were jogging. Though it was nearly freezing you still pulled your clothes up and went bounding to the bench that Adam was resting in.

When you flopped down, he looked at you. “Y/N!” He said cheerfully. His eyes had lit up when he saw you; he looked very glad to see you.

You beamed at him. “Hello, Adam. What are you doing all by your lonesome?”

Adam leaned back against the wet, icy, bench back. “Nothing. I wasn’t sure if I should bother you or not.”

You raised an eyebrow at him, and scoffed. “Like I would be bothered by my boyfriend visiting me on Valentine’s Day.”

Adam frowned. “I thought you had something to do today…”

“Like what, hanging out with you? My schedule’s empty. Come on, let’s go for a walk.”

Adam stood up eagerly. “Okay. I’d love to.”

You laced your fingers in with Adam’s and started the long trek around the one mile park. Adam leaned in close and whispered, “Well thank you for coming to find me. I would have been sitting there all day.”

“Wow. Don’t be so low-spirited,” you encouraged. “No need to think like that, you’ll only disappoint yourself.”

“Sorry. It’s kinda hard after… um… everything…”

You sighed sympathetically. “I know. It’s going to be okay. You don’t have to worry about it. We’ll be together through it all.”

Adam wrapped an arm around your waist. You walked for a couple more minutes until you found a little tea shop that looked warm. Since it had started to rain, you both decided to take shelter inside. It was a smart decision because as soon as your feet touched the welcome mat it started pouring down outside, covering everything in a thick layer of water.

You walked up to the counter with Adam in tow. There were plenty of varieties, but the one you wanted was in the middle somewhere. The cute barista took your order. You had ordered (favorite tea.) Adam ordered the same thing and you both found a place in the back to sit quietly together.

“I just love the flavor of that tea,” Adam said as he sat down beside you.

“Me too. I get it every time.” You smiled.

“You look gorgeous, by the way,” Adam told you abruptly. “Did you know that is my favorite outfit on you?”

Your eyes stretched wide in surprise. “Oh… I did not. Thank you very much.”

Adam’s eyes traveled down your body, taking in your curves and abs. You felt special as he observed you. You were HIS prized possession.

A waiter came up to you with your drinks. Each of you took a cup and started blowing into it. The smoke rising scattered dramatically, like a phantom running from water. You could smell the ripe scents of its ingredients. You took a sip gently. It burned your tongue but it was worth it to feel the warmth go down your throat and warm you up from within. You sighed out contentedly.

Adam lowered his head to yours. “I don’t think I even need the tea…” he confessed. “You’re hot enough.” He gave you a wink, appearing rather proud of himself for the pickup line.

You shoved him with your shoulder. “Oh shut up. I can’t be hotter than the tea.”

“You might be surprised,” Adam said quickly.

“If you think I’M hot, then you should go look at yourself. You pull it off so much better than I do.”

Adam scoffed. “No. You’re just being nice.”

“Of course not. Do you think I’d lie to you?”

“No!” Adam admitted adamantly.

“Good. How’s the tea?”

“Hot… But I like it. It’s perfect for this weather.”

“It sure is,” you agreed. “Just how I like it.”

You looked back into your tea, just letting the fog keep your face warm, and Adam took the advantage. In your moment of bliss and unsuspicion you felt something climb down your sensitive body, all the way from your waist to your inner thigh. You brought your face up again. Adam was looking at you seriously. “How's Valentine's Day going?” You asked him.

“It’s going great now that I’m with you,” Adam responded sincerely. “I don’t know what I’d do without such an amazing person!”

You blushed and looked into your lap. “Oh… I’m sure you’d make it.”

“Ha. Maybe I would, but barely. I need you in my life.” Adam moved his hand up and down along your left thigh. You pretended not to notice. Instead, you just finished up your tea and leaned back. It was still horribly raining outside, but at least the sun was out now.

You were pulled in close unexpectedly by Adam. You looked up at him. “What’s up?”

“Nothing.”

You pulled away from him, and Adam took one last drink from his cup. You said, “Are you ready to go back out? It’s getting kinda hot in here.”

“Sure.” He gave you his coat. “Just take this, though. I don’t want you to get too wet out there.”

You gave it back to him. “No. I don’t want you to be cold. We all know how you are when you get cold.”

“Alright,” Adam reluctantly took the coat back. “But only because you want me to.”

You ruffled his hair. “I love you.”

“Love you, too.”

Adam tried to take your hand, but you had other ideas. You pulled it away from him and went racing for the door excitedly. “Come on, Adam! Hurry up, we gotta get out there before the rain lets up.”

“You WANT to go out in the rain?” Adam wondered miserably.

“Duh!” You exclaimed. “The rain is awesome! Come on, let’s go.”

Adam came up behind you, trying to snake his arm around your waist. Unfortunately, you could feel his attempt, and you pulled away from him. You spun around to face your boyfriend, who had on a look of dissatisfaction. He strolled up to you hesitantly. “Where are we going now?”

You shrugged. “Hmmm. We could go back home?”

Adam nodded. “If you want. But, there’s a bakery not far from here. I can’t imagine you turning that down.”

You thought for a minute then realized it would still work out in your plans. “Okay. If you can wait that long.”

“What do you mean by THAT?”

You shrugged. “Oh… I could mean many things by that…”

“That doesn’t answer my question,” Adam pointed out.

You darted off, and Adam had to chase after you. “What the hell are you doing? You do know I didn’t sleep well last night, right?”

You stopped and glanced over your shoulder. “What was that? I can’t hear you over the rain.”

Adam looked around miserably, then huffed. He ran to catch up to you. “I said, I didn’t sleep well. So can we please just stick to walking?”

You raised an eyebrow. “Sure you can, if you want to be left behind.” You gave him a playful wink.

Adam groaned. “What’s gotten into you?”

“You’ve got enough energy, baby,” you predicted. “Just run with me.”

“Okay,” Adam mumbled. “Perhaps I have… some.” He reached out an arm to lay it on your shoulders. You allowed it to brush you before grabbing Adam’s hand and racing off across the park. Adam stumbled after you, and nearly fell over.

You caught him. “Woah. Come on, get your head in the game, or have you forgotten how to run?”

“N-No…” Adam stammered awkwardly. “I… just… It was a messy start.” He let go of your hand, which allowed him to run with you instead of behind you. He grinned at you. “Maybe you were right.”

“Of course I was. I’m always right,” you joked.

Adam shook his head. “Now stop that. You’re not supposed to AGREE.”

You shrugged at him. “Whoops,” you said carelessly.

“Hey!” Adam grabbed your arm, pulling you back. You fell into him, and he hugged you so tightly that your arms were pinned to your sides. He looked at you from over your head. “Stop avoiding me, damn it!” He snapped. “Don’t act like I’ve not been noticing.”

You gave him your most innocent face. “Well, I don’t believe I have.”

“Don’t give me that shit! You know what you’ve been doing.” There was a glint of desperation in his eyes, but also enjoyment.

Yeah, You thought incredulously. You’re definitely not having the time of your life.

“Stop pretending you don’t like it,” you retorted.

“Come on, my dearest. I think you’ve gotten a little confused. Take it down a notch.”

You fought in his grasp. “Nah. I don’t think so, babe,” you remarked sarcastically.

You swung your legs back and forth. Your intentions were harmless, of course; all you were trying to do was shift the weight from back to front so that Adam would fall over, hence releasing you from his grip. But… you may have gotten a little too rough. In the end, Adam did end up falling down but not for the correct reasons…

You stumbled away from him. “Oww…” Adam grumbled. “I wasn’t trying to KIDNAP you, relax!”

You knelt down next to him. “Sorry…” you whispered, feeling a little embarrassed. “I didn’t mean to… hurt you…”

Adam tilted his head at you and gave you a bewildered look. “What did you THINK was going to happen kicking your legs between mine?”

You glanced at the grass awkwardly. “I was trying to unbalance you.”

Adam sat up finally, laughing a little. “Well, it worked, didn’t it?”

You looked up at him sadly. “Sorry,” you whispered again.

“It’s okay, I suppose,” he teased with a smile.

You tackled him to the ground. “ ‘Suppose’? What do you want me to do? Get some Tylenol? I’ve got some, I think, in my purse,” you wailed wittily.

Adam leaned his head back into the wet grass and gazed up at his partner. “No. I’m good now.” He was smiling slightly.

The rain was still coming down hard. It crashed down all around the both of you, smothering you and your boyfriend in water. It trickled down your hair and face, and got into your eyes and nose. Adam wasn’t having a better time. His hair was plastered to his head, his clothes were glued to his thin body. You loved being able to see his form around his clothes. “I love seeing you like this,” you informed him.

Adam raised his eyebrows at you. “Why? Do I look better after I’ve been thoroughly drenched by the rain?”

“I mean…” You trailed off.

Your reply was enough for Adam to get the idea. He grabbed your neck and pulled you down. “Now tell me why the fuck you’re not letting me hold you.”

You smirked at him. “Awwwe. Is it getting to you, baby? It was your idea to go to the bakery.”

Adam nodded gradually. “So that’s what you meant. I see. I see your little cleverness. Well, I don’t think I should let you get too out of hand. Maybe we should go home and fix this?”

“I’m not the one who needs fixing.”

“Oh? And why’s that? You ARE the one acting out.”

You cast him a condescending frown. You didn’t answer his question directly. All you gave him was a simple, curt, response. “I’m also not the one who thought they were all alone on Valentine’s Day.”

Adam opened his mouth in fake hurt. He looked at you, pretending to be offended. “I can’t even believe you would say that. I was trying to be NICE.”

“Silly goose, even if I was hanging out with the family, I would have still loved to see you anyway. Even a call wouldn’t have hurt. But no, you just decided my family business was too important. More important.”

“Well- I- er… I never said that…” Adam glanced away self-consciously.

“More important than VALENTINE’S DAY?” You continued. “More important than ME? More important than US?”

Adam squirmed under you. “N-No… That… isn’t how- I just meant- I wasn’t saying it like THAT!”

You got to your feet, and bent down to help him up as well. He took your hand shyly. “Just… stop avoiding me… I love you…”

I love you, too, you little rascal. But understand that you don’t need to worry about what I think of you.

“Oh Adam,” You said out loud. “I love you more than you can imagine.”

“Show me…” Adam requested.

You let out a low laugh. “You don’t want me to.”

“Yes, I do.”

“Alright. If you so insist.”

Carefully, you put your mouth to Adam’s. You started to kiss him lightly. Your lips not giving him all that you could. You wanted him to WANT you. You shoved your hands up his shirt, messaging him, and climbing his stomach up to his chest. Your hands made… a couple of detours...

Adam pulled away. “What the fuck is this? I told you to SHOW me, not CODDLE me.”

You looked around. “I mean… I could fuck you right here, in front of the strip mall. Is that what you want?”

Adam bit his bottom lip anxiously. “That… wasn’t what I had in mind, no…”

You raised a scornful eyebrow at him. “Okay then. Now do you want to go home?”

Adam laughed awkwardly, but didn’t give you an outright answer. “Well, you see… The thing is… The bakery will always be here for us to go to tomorrow.”

You headed back the way you had come. “Alrighty. Race me?”

“Shit, baby. You know I didn’t sleep well.”

“Then let me take care of you. You can sleep for the rest of the day after that.”

“Oh…” Adam murmured. “Your way with words is… arousing…”

“One more reason to hurry then, right? So what do you say about racing me?”

“Oh, definitely. I’m up for that.”

You shook your head. “Instantly changed your mind?”

Adam sidestepped up to you. “Well,” he drawled. “I love you…”

“I love you, too, Adam.”

Adam beamed at you, adoration was shimmering in his eyes brilliantly. “Okay. So, when we get home-”

You took off running across the grass. “Catch me, Adam, baby. Or do you want me to do myself?”

Adam ran after you. “No. I’m coming!”

“Yeah.” Your voice dropped. “Yeah baby. You will be.”

And Adam nearly tripped over his own feet. This year’s Valentine’s Day was going smoothly. Neither of you could wait to get back to the apartment, but Adam was especially titillated. And you could already tell; it was all you needed to get yourself worked up.

What now? You wondered. Hmm. I guess we’ll see when we get home, but which one should come first? The strip tease or the dirty talk?

Fuck Me Goodnight - Adam Stanheight / Reader

18+ This one’s definitely an 18+... A/N Idk what this is. It was something my mind came up with like right now on the spot in a couple of words. I don’t usually write about this subject so… I’m sorry it’s short, I couldn’t think, really… just lmk ig, i'm def nervous...

18+

“I love you,” you mumbled, scared of the outcome.

“Now that was evident.” A chuckle.

“You don’t understand,” you tried to further explain.

“Sure I do. You’d give up everything for me. That’s sweet, because I’ve done nothing to deserve it. Now lay down on the bed. Let me show you what you mean to me. More than ‘I love you’.”

Your body stretched out over the bed vulnerably. “I don’t know what you’re gonna do to me.” Your voice broke anxiously, expressing your feelings.

“Perfect…” whispered like the soft crackling of the fire. “It’s better if I have the element of surprise. Now close your eyes, dearest, don’t let me frighten you.”

Cool chills going up soft skin, almost like bones clattering to the floor of the abandoned temple; so lonely and secretive. “I’m sorry…”

Brown eyes slid up the body in front of him. “For what?” Voice was low, almost threatening, making the other being shiver. “For having a life?”

“I didn’t want to leave you alone on the anniversary of… Never mind…But I got caught up with taking my cat/dog to the vet. It was a long day for both of us.”

Shoulders were pushed straight back into the mattress. It felt squishy and rough. Closer, you wanted closer. “I don’t…” Silence.

“Adam?”

“It’s okay. I understand your reasons. I do wish you had been there though.”

“That’s why I’m sorry.”

“Why? Your pet didn’t realize yesterday was important.”

Adam leaned way over you in the darkness. The only things that told you he was there was his body heat and the pressure of his body on yours. You gave way under him, rolling your head back into the pillows and relaxing entirely. You grunted desperately.

Adam’s hands traveled your entire body, making sure not to leave any place untouched. His lips were practically like a soothing message for your mouth. You closed your eyes, and enjoyed it.

Adam straddled you promptly, gazing down at you through the darkness. “Besides, I could have come to your place, but I didn’t… So… stupid on my part. I thought I told you to relax?”

There was a fight of relaxation and stiffness that occurred between the muscles and the brain. “I just want you to fuck me… That’s all I want right now…”

An amused laugh echoed around the pitch black room. “I wondered…” sarcasm. “You want me, definitely. That much was obvious. But I don’t think I want to give you that just yet. You could use some ripening up.”

“Sure… You’re the boss.”

“Good. I’m glad we’re in agreement.”

More messaging of the lips.

More hand-exploration of the body.

More tingles and good feelings.

“Shit, Adam…”

“Did I say you could speak?”

Alarmed, but still aware you choked out, “W-Well no but…” Hesitance. “But I love you…”

Adam caressed your cheeks, and fingered your bottom lip. “Say it louder.” He lifted your chin up.

“I love you…” You whimpered slightly louder than that of the first time.

“Pathetic, really.”

You thrashed under him. “I said I love you!”

“Better. But next time let it be the first time.”

“Right.”

Adam started to pound you into the mattress. “Let’s just make this quick, huh? It’s late and you have things to do tomorrow, yeah?”

“I can cancel them…”

Adam scoffed. “I thought the whole point was that you weren’t supposed to do that.”

“I’m not…”

A whole bunch of feelings mixed together, making it hard to breathe. All you could do was lay there and let Adam have his way with you. But his teasing had been a hellofa ride, and now you didn’t have a chance at lasting very long, and unfortunately the ‘rising action’ was over, now it was time for the ‘climax’. You screamed.

“Oh what’s the matter?” Adam pretended not to understand. You loved that. He laughed. “Too much?”

There was only silence in response. Gasping and heaving were mixed in with Adam’s quiet moans. An effort was put into staying awake, which was all for naught. Sleep won the battle anyway, and Adam was left to finish himself. You would be paying for THAT in the morning. You knew that well enough, or at least you WOULD have known, if you were still awake.

Valentine's Day - Adam Stanheight / Reader

A/N, it's getting close to V-Day, everyone, and tbh I'm lonely irl, but I always have Adam, and now you do, too! ;)

.

Another year, another lost Valentine's Day. You of all people shouldn’t be the one sitting at home with no one by your side. Even the weather was trying to be supportive, with all it’s sunshine and clear skies. There would have been a time when you went diving straight into that blissfulness and lost yourself in a playful craze, but… your soul had broken apart after the first breakup. Just like an apple on the tree; it was happy and alive until it wasn’t needed anymore. Cast away by the mother, like a miserable excuse for a child, never to return again.

Still, your heart was beating, and that meant you hadn’t quit. It ached, sure, and your mind felt like it was rotting, but otherwise you hadn’t quit, no. You hadn’t given up. Not yet. The thing was, there was something that kept coming back to you, even stronger than that of the last time.

Why?

Why did Cupid treat you like this? Why did she insist on breaking your heart over and over again? Why wasn’t there anyone that was meant for you? If Cupid planned everyone’s love-lives, then why had she been avoiding yours? What was wrong with your love-life? WAS there anything wrong with it? Maybe it was just yourself?

In any case, the facts still remained. You were alone on Valentine’s Day, without a single piece of chocolate or a cheerful looking flower. You didn’t even have an ounce of energy to turn on the living room light that was only one scoot away from you on the couch.

Fuck. Everything hated you.

The spoon shifted deeper into the hard block of ice cream. (Favorite ice cream) was so delicious! It almost lifted your spirits up from the hole they were in but… eating ice cream alone wasn’t nearly as fun when you could share it with someone. All your friends had people! Cupid had given them someone to take care of on Valentine’s Day, and all you got was a handful of ice cream in the dark.

This was so unfair.

Amidst your sulking on the tattered cushions of your old sofa, came the slow rustle of footsteps from beyond the condo door. There was excited chittering and laughter from your neighbors, as they presumably let some of their girlfriends or boyfriends into their rooms, but it didn’t seem to be coming from those suspicious footsteps. It was quieter after some time, but the soft susurrus of steps seemed to persist ever onwards.

You contemplated what that sound was. Perhaps it was only the prehistoric pipes giving way to their confines after such a long endeavor of life? Or perhaps it was the swish-swoosh of your neighbor's broom sweeping over the dusty vents? Maybe one could tell, but you could not.

They dragged up and up and up, those footsteps. Not once did they falter, not once did they stumble, not once did they retreat; the footfalls simply repeated. Until at last, after the final serve of ice cream was finished up and swallowed, the sound stopped.

You didn’t know what to do with yourself. You’d have been asleep right now, if it wasn’t for the abrupt change in your surroundings. What was that, anyway? Was it not the poor pipes? Was it not your soulless neighbor?

And then there it was! A teeny-tiny knock rumbling on your front door.

How could this be so? You were supposed to be alone on Valentine’s Day!

In a very sluggish manner, you stood up from the couch. Your insides were cold from the previously eaten ice cream, and your heart was heavy from the previously stated facts. But somehow you managed to get yourself to your feet, and still hopelessly miserably, you did in fact, unlock the door.

Behind it was a young man that you recognized. His brown eyes were unmistakable. His clothes, tattered and loose, were memorable - or perhaps his appearance was memorable? He was quite handsome, of course.

You stepped back slowly, your mind reeling. This didn’t feel right. This didn’t feel accurate. As you placed one foot behind the other, everything slowed down. It was like moving in slow motion. You could feel your hair blow forwards, the edges of your clothes did as well. You were walking backwards in the wind. Sound stopped, so that it was all just a lackadaisical emptiness, like being underwater.

You kept walking, tediously, backwards. Your eyes were fixed on the newcomer - distraught and unblinking - while your mouth hung open slightly - astonished and bemused.

What the fuck was happening?

The man came walking in, just as fast as you, followed by the strange slithering sound. His movements were lazy, as he looked up from the floor and brought his hands up to his mouth. The click of his lighter resonated around the entire room, ringing for some minutes afterwards. He took a deep breath in, which too was enhanced by some magical hearing aid that had not been there before. You felt yourself grow weak and you reached your hands out backwards, looking for the couch.

He put his lighter back into his pocket, and now you could see the cigarette in his left hand. He blew out on it and smoke filled your vision completely. You stumbled, as the world came back to you once more.

You crashed down, painfully, onto the hard cushions of your couch, white noise filling your ears now as well as the traffic outside the window and the people talking outside your door. The man was approaching quickly by now, a look of alarm on his face. You realized that you knew this man!

“A-Adam Faulkner?” You choked out, feeling dizzy.

Adam’s light voice made your heart flutter. He knelt over you, his hands resting on your shoulders in an attempt to support you. “Woah. What’s wrong, Y/N? Have you eaten anything today?”

You tried to remember what REAL food you had eaten, but it felt like such a long time ago. “I had… ice cream…” you mumbled awkwardly.

“That’s it!?” Adam left you on the couch to go rummage through your fridge. He came back with a sandwich. You hated sandwiches.

“Why do I have to eat that?”

Adam shoved a piece into your mouth unexpectedly, and you gagged but started chewing anyway. “Because you’re faint as fuck, and I don’t want you passing out on me.”

You took the sandwich from him miserably, and ate it slowly. You grimaced every time you had to bite it. “What are you doing here?” You asked. “Don’t you have like… a girlfriend to see?”

Adam sat back into a chair across from you, and continued smoking. “What? Are you crazy? You think anyone would want to date me?”

Your heart pounded suddenly, and your cheeks flushed red. “Oh… Right… I’m sure no one… would…” You cleared your throat awkwardly, trying to end the stupid sentence that you had started.

“So, what got you eating ice cream in the darkness all by yourself on Valentine’s?” Adam questioned curiously. You stared at him blankly, as if your eyes alone could get the words across. “Oh come on. You didn’t really think no one was gonna come see you?”

You shoveled more sandwich into your mouth. At this point you would rather eat this than have to answer his question. Instead, you asked, “What got you to come all the way up to some single person’s house on Valentine’s?”

“ ‘Single’?” Adam wondered. “That works well for my plans, actually.”

You gazed at him in dismay, starting to get the idea he was implying. You finished your sandwich swiftly after that, wanting to look pretty for what MIGHT be coming up. “Let me get dressed! Oh my god, I can’t believe you had to see me like this.” Suddenly, you had newfound motivation…

Adam seemed a little off guard by your major mood change, but he rolled with it. “Sure. I mean, whatever you like. I think you look good in what you have on.”

“I’m still in my pajamas though.”

Adam shrugged. “I guess it makes undressing easier.”

At first you didn’t think much of the comment, until you were in the bathroom. And then you realized his implication. Adam was flirting with you… or trying to. You started smiling. Now that you thought about it, it was really cute. You dressed hastily, and then presented yourself to Adam cautiously. It had been awhile since you had done anything like this.

Adam smiled at you. “There you are. Looking beautiful, as usual.”

You giggled. “Oh, stop. I don’t know what’s gotten into you.” You were embarrassed by his sudden affection.

Faulkner raised an eyebrow. “Maybe it’s nothing?” He suggested. “Maybe I’m just enjoying Valentine’s Day?”

You were completely flabbergasted. “Enjoying Valentine’s Day with me?” You were almost unsure it could be possible.

Adam leaned in close and finally got to the point of his visit. “I want to change your social status from single to taken.”

You laughed out loud. “Cheesy!”

Adam laughed with you. “I had to say it as soon as I thought of it.”

“So, is THAT why you’re here? To give me a cheesy pickup line?”

“Hey,” Adam said defensively. “It was cheesy, but… I was being honest.”

You stared at him, your mind going blank. “W-What?”

“Come on, Y/N. You’re not that dim. Or do you need me to spell it out for you?”

You shifted your feet, unable to believe your ears. You didn’t realize Adam felt that way about you. Had this been an all-time-thing, or was he joking with you? You’d been in love with Adam ever since your first meeting, but… you never thought that the feelings could be mutual. Besides, if Adam had felt this way about you for so long, then why hadn’t he done anything about it? Why was THIS year the year that he opened up?

“I… don’t get it…” you stammered.

“What’s there to get? I really like you.”

“But… I never knew… If I knew, I wouldn’t have waited so long. I thought that… you were with someone else.”

“Who else?” Adam asked skeptically. “I haven’t dated since… since Jigsaw…” He shook his head vehemently. “But, that was a long time ago. I feel ready to try again. So… does this mean… you don’t want-”

“No!” You interrupted. “I do want this! I’m so sorry for complicating it, I was trying to understand everything. It didn't make sense.”

“It’s okay,” Adam said, and pulled you into a hug.

You could hear your heartbeat in your ears. It was so loud you could have sworn the whole condo could hear it. Your face and hands were hot, and you felt faint again, but not because of hunger; it was out of happiness.

You wrapped your arms around Adam’s waist and rested your head on his chest. It was odd to you how one’s outlook on life could change within a day, all depending on the set of circumstances a person was put into. That morning you had been despairing, but now - nearly twelve thirty - you were in perfect bliss. You were just so glad to have someone of your own this Valentine’s Day.

“Hmm…” you sighed. “Perhaps Cupid doesn’t leave everyone in the dark?”

“Huh?” Adam looked down at you, a look of utter bewilderment on his face.

You glanced back up at him. “Oh, sorry. It was nothing.”

Adam placed you on the couch. “What do you want to do now? I was gonna take you to lunch.”

You straightened your back, and dusted your clothes out. “O-Of course, Adam. I’d love to.”

Adam put out his cigarette and tossed it into the wastebasket. He leapt to his feet and went racing to the door. He looked back at you, and gestured you over with his hand. “Come on, Y/N. This is gonna be the best day of your life!”

You followed him out the door hesitantly, a small smile on your face. It was cold outside, but you couldn’t care less about the weather. The mere presence of Adam Stanheight was enough to keep you warm. “I’m excited,” you whispered bravely, closing the door behind you and staring out into the rain. “I haven’t done this in a very long time.”

Falling For You - Adam Stanheight / Reader

This was inspired by a Three Days Grace song, Over and Over. :) First story in five months, enjoy!

Fury, resentment, passion, repetition, falling, falling, falling. Always falling into that pit of bitterness. Red curtains pulled back, hot steam dripping from the window, and the whole world flipping over. You were so angry! Outraged at yourself, as you watched Adam leave through the window, heart beating fast, and breath coming slow. Your hands pulled at the red, fluffy curtains, boiling up, up, up until you thought you’d explode. You shut the curtains closed for the fourth time, and stalked to the bedroom in your apartment, hoping to get some sleep tonight, but you didn’t want to lay on the bed. You weren’t even a little bit tired.

That feeling crept back into you again, the loneliness, the emptiness, the deadness. You felt like nothing without him, but you tried to convince yourself you didn’t. You were desperate, that's what you told yourself, every single time.

No matter, you felt those feelings every damn day, but you knew better. Adam wasn’t the one to blame for this, YOU were. You couldn’t get over him. You, you, you, you, you, you.

The bitterness revamped itself suddenly, causing you to crash to the floor, clutching your head in frustration. Terrible, terrible, frustration. You slammed your fists into the wooded floor of your apartment, your mind reeling, trying to get over your feelings. But Adam’s face stayed in your mind, so fresh, and you screamed.

The pain of having him leave ate at you. You got to your feet, taking deep, calming breaths. You had to be strong in order to overcome this, but you didn’t like it. What was wrong with you? Why did this always happen? Why couldn’t you stay at home? Why did you have to do the same thing every time? Why, why, why, why, why, why, why?

You took cautious steps toward the door, despite your better judgment. Your heart tried to climb back into your chest, but it slipped and fell back down, and you knew what you had to do.

“I feel this shit everyday,” you grumbled wretchedly, fighting with the cold doorknob. It was sticky. You forced the door open with vigor, and the pained creak it made made you flinch. “Why do I do this?”

You headed down the stairs, your stomach churning with unhappiness, but your heart beating with love. You needed this. No, you needed HIM. You needed ADAM. “So here I go again…”  You ran out the door, screaming Adam’s name, begging him to come back, begging him not to leave you again. And there you went, chasing him down again, like every time. Like last week. Like two weeks before. Like three weeks before. Like fifty-two weeks ago. You couldn’t stop. Over and over. Over and over, you fell for him, and you didn’t try to, but it kept happening, like a song on repeat. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

“Adam!” You shouted, as you ran around the corner. There he was, sitting in his car, having a smoke break before leaving you for the week. Your heart melted into a puddle. He was so attractive. He was… perfect… Your fury dissipated. Just seeing him made you happy. Seeing him with that damn cigarette caused you to stumble over your feet. You breathed a sigh of relief.

He’s still here…  You realized. Oh, geeze. Why do I do this?

You walked up to his car, and greeted him gently. “Hi…”

“Y/N.” Adam sounded surprised to see you standing at his car window, even though it was a weekly tradition. He should have been used to this. “How are you?”

“I’m… I’m…” Words left your brain as soon as he asked the question.

“Awe, cat got your tongue?” He blew on his cigarette.

“No, no. It’s only just… I don’t want you to go.”

Adam was silent, as he focused on his cigarette.

Your heart had palpitations, as you fell for him once again in your lifetime. “Oh boy,” you whispered, trying to get a hand on your feelings. “I don’t really feel like that…”

“Hmm?”

“Nothing…” You gasped anxiously.

“Mmmh.” The responses were so similar but you could hear the difference. This one was more dubious sounding than the first. It killed you having to lie to him. It killed you telling him it was nothing. It killed you trying to leave him.

“I should get going.” You forced the words out through gritted teeth.

Adam only gave you a disbelieving squint of his eyes, but he never took his lips off the cigarette. Those soft, thin, lips… Oh how you wanted to kiss them.

His hollow cheeks… His lithe body… His long legs…

Oh, fuck…

You wanted to mark him. Make him yours. But you also knew what was best for you. Knew you shouldn’t date your coworker. Knew he was a bad idea. It took so much energy to walk away from him, when he made your mouth water like this. You felt good next to him. You didn’t want to go back home. You didn’t want to wait till next week. You knew better, but you wanted him instead.

I’ll just keep wasting all my time, if I don’t confess now.

“Hey, Adam…” You murmured, walking closer to the car.

Adam Stanheight put out his cigarette, sensing this was going to be important. He gazed into your eyes expectantly, but didn’t say a word. He was patient with you, and so gentle, and kind.

“Will you stay with me tonight?” You asked him nervously, your heart tearing into your ribcage, screaming at you that this was wrong. You were so weak, and you leaned through the window. “Please.”

“Sure. All you had to do was ask,” Faulkner replied smartly, and you got red in the face, heat making you dizzy, and you fell to the ground, crying.

Adam got out of the car nonchalantly, and knelt down in front of you. “Y/N,” he said seriously. “What’s wrong?” He hugged you, and you hid your face into his shoulder.

“I don’t want you to go,” you choked out again. You were so on edge you didn’t feel right. You didn’t know how to feel. You didn’t even know what you wanted to say to Adam.

And Adam smiled. He knew. Even if YOU didn’t, HE did. “Y/N…”

Your mouth was suddenly being pressed up against by his thin lips, grounding you, bringing you back into real life. His kiss was excruciating, lulling. “I love you,” he said breathlessly.

“I try not to…” you admitted.

“Let me hear you say it.”

“I fall for you,” You replied. “You make me fall for you.”

Over and over… You added silently to yourself.

“You don’t even try to.”

Adam kissed you again, and the world started spinning. Faster, faster, faster. So fast, you couldn’t even see the trees, they were all blurring together. And your lips locked with Adam’s so perfectly, so evenly. This was right.

“Who’s quitting?” Adam asked.

He was joking, but you answered so quickly, it shocked both of you. “I will.”

Adam studied you. “That’s nice of you.”

“I’d do anything to be with you,” you blurted.

“Yes, I know,” Adam said casually, like he was expecting you to say that.

“So many thoughts that I can’t get out of my head,” you confessed.

“What kind?” Adam inquired, leaning in close.

You felt goosebumps arise all over your skin. “Let’s go inside, and I’ll tell you,” you breathed out.

Adam kicked his car door closed with his left foot, and came to walk beside you. “No, please. I’d like you to SHOW me.”

You could feel him pressing up against you so insistently, rubbing your back longingly, and you were so weak, too weak. You looked up at him, eyes as big as a deer’s. “For sure.” You made a promise, and promises were hard to break.

Chills - Adam Stanheight / Reader

This story is inspired by Souvenir - a Selena Gomez song.

.

You were at it again, the both of you, hugging close to one another after breakfast like it was the last time you would ever get to see each other.  Adam Stanheight’s body heat was practically lulling you to sleep, but you didn’t want to leave him yet; you were so perfect in this moment and you didn’t want it to end. It was long stares and alluring exchanges like these that got you giddy and fuzzy. Fires sparked along your skin wherever he touched you, making you sizzle with the friction.

Adam’s brown eyes were so easy to get lost in, all you had to do was glance at them and you would be drowning in the depths of that iris; examining every little detail and taking in all the experiences they’d been through. You would never get tired of swimming there, floundering there. And Adam stared directly back into your eyes, the ripe color of them so mesmerizing; he’d never get tired of this.

Your chests rose and fell together with every careful breath that each of you took. The fear of being lost, if only you were to break the cycle of your breathing, kept you from disrupting the pattern that you had created. Even though there was no threat, it was a mere superstition that you both shared. You had to breathe together, as one.

It was just so… breathtaking… you could say - how so many feelings could pulse through you at once; you were addicted. Once the corrupted air from Adam’s lungs entered yours, it was just like… a souvenir almost; one you didn’t want to get rid of.

Each breath, and brush of skin, made you numb, gave you goosebumps. You’d always feel it in the same place. Sometimes it would be on your arms, but mostly it was up your spine. Starting from your head all the way down to your feet. It was so strong sometimes you felt incapacitated. You loved that feeling.

And it didn’t have to be cold in the room for you to feel that. Right now, it was ninety degrees Fahrenheit, and for some reason you had the heat running, but nevertheless, those chills came and went like it was the middle of December in a hail storm straight from the North Pole. Up and down, and up and down, those chills wouldn’t give you a break.

Adam’s lips were planted on yours strongly, dragging you into a lapse of kissing that kept going. His mouth felt all over yours and finding new places to explore. He tilted your head back so it was resting up on the wall. The pressure of his lips on yours was so levitating, like lifting you away from your fears and into a world where only good things existed. The rush was so energizing and exciting, you could barely even move or speak.

Adam lifted you up so that you were sitting on his hips, back against the wall, and arms around his neck. Faulkner pushed you closer to the cool wall. It made you shiver but you were too engulfed by the feelings on your lips to care.

There was a nasty smell of burning trash wafting in from the window, and the noisy traffic cluttered your hearing with nothing else. Outside it was bright and beautiful, the sky was clear with puffy clouds drifting across. The streets had a shine from the recent rain. The air was fresh and invigorating.

Inside, it smelled musty and dusty, like someone had just swept and the gunk was floating in the atmosphere. You and Adam had several steampunk objects lying around the house. The steampunk dragonfly was a wedding gift, but afterwards you’d become addicted. Now you had a collection. It only had fifteen items but it was a work in progress.

You felt the gentle, warm, tug of Adam’s lips slip out of your plump, sensitive ones. You moaned and opened your eyes to look at him. “Adam…” you gurgled unintelligently.

Adam was gasping from the fast set pace he had been kissing you at.  “Sheesh. I didn’t know I could kiss you like that.”

“I didn’t either,” you muttered. “So why did you stop?”

“Sorry,” Adam apologized. “You know… Oxygen…”

You nodded, a smile on your face. “Right,” you whispered, and then allowed Adam to catch his breath. You leaned forward so that your chest  was resting on Adam’s shoulder. You kept your head up and looked out the window, feeling the rise and fall of your boyfriend’s chest. You could hear the low breath in your ear.

Letting your mind go numb, you closed your eyes, and took in the smokey smell of Adam’s clothes. You bit your lower lip tiredly, relaxation filling your body like warm liquid. “I love you,” Adam said.

You snuggled closer, and wrapped your legs tighter around Adam’s waist. “I love you, too.”

Adam pushed you back against the wall, and started another make-out session. Adam’s hands rose up your shirt and you moaned out his name. He traced your stomach and your chest, slid up towards your collar bones and chin. You melted against his soft touch. You locked eyes with him, losing yourself in a daze.

“Adam…”

“Is that all you know how to say?” Adam asked you.

You nodded. “Yeah. The only language I can speak. I call it… Lovesick Language.”

“I like that language. I think I speak it well, too, Y/N.”

“Mmmh. Adam…”

Adam smiled in amusement, and then kissed you again, lighter and gentler. “You’re so precious,” he said softly.  He caressed your cheek and slid his thumb over your jaw. “My everything.”

You leaned your cheek into his palm. “Oh, Adam… You’re so good to me.”

“You think so?”

“Mmhmm.” You murmured happily, a contented look on your face.

Adam chuckled. “I’d hope so. I try very hard to take care of you.”

You nuzzled his cheek and took in a deep breath, your heart swelling with affection. “And I you, baby.”

Adam kissed you again, and your breath was taken away again. He lifted you from the wall and you hugged him tighter. Stanheight spun around a couple of times, looking up at you playfully. He headed to the bedroom, holding you close so as to not run you into anything. You enjoyed the ride. “You’ve been so good,” he muttered alluringly in  your ear.

You shuddered at his words. “I try my best…”

“So, so, so, good, baby,” Adam insisted.

You hummed out, feeling a little bit… excited… You moaned out a little too enticingly. “What are you planning?”

Adam dropped you suddenly, and you were airborne for a few seconds, before landing on the fluffy mattress of the bed. Adam leaned over you, his hands on either side of your head. He grinned at you proudly, and straddled your hips. “Hi my beautiful.”

You blushed. “Hi…” You murmured with a shy smile.

“Don’t look at me like that… You know I can’t resist you when you give me that smile.”

You apologized profusely, and Adam watched you passively, until he got tired of it. “Shh, baby. I get it.”

“Adam…” You mumbled. “What are you doing?”

“Well, I’m GOING to fuck you. But I don’t think that’s what you’re asking.”

You giggled. “I just wanted to hear you say it…”

“I know,” Adam whispered, and then started to peel your clothes off. “Just take my breath away, like you always do.”

“ ‘Course, Adam. I’d love to,” you replied compliantly.

“And be a sweet thing, yeah?” Adam’s voice was low and seductive.

“Yeah.” Your voice wavered, and broke. You were so full of emotions you could barely speak.

“Promise?” Adam questioned ominously, with no intent of being dangerous.

“I promise,” you purred straight back.

Sleeping Beauty - Adam Stanheight / Reader

A/N sorry for the short story, been feeling writer’s block. (This was a prompt. I’m sorry it’s creepy asf.)

.

Adam Faulkner was late to bed that night. It was nearly three in the morning when he finally finished producing a set of pictures. He was late to producing the pictures as well. He was late for an appointment with a client. He was late for a lot of things right now. He had to reschedule many appointments. But at least this was the last one… Finally.

Adam set the camera on the dresser that was to the side of the bed. In this summer season, three am looked bright, dawn creeping in through the edges of the window, around the curtains. The sky was a light indigo even though it was three am, and it seemed like the sun was about to rise some time soon.

Adam turned away from the dresser and spotted you asleep on the bed, facing him, on your right side. You looked so lovely in the dim light, your face peaceful, humble, innocent. Your eyelids fluttered slightly over and over. Adam wondered what you were seeing, what you were dreaming about. It didn’t seem like it was hellish.

He smiled at the sight of his significant other. The light drew circles on your skin and cast shadows over certain places, making an intricate picture of darkness and lightness. He took in your body shape through the tight bed covers. All the right indents and muscles portrayed through them. Your breathing was gentle and delicate. Your belly rose and fell smoothly.

Adam knelt down by the bed to look into your sleeping face. It was impossible that you didn’t know he was there. All it took was an easy action of opening your eyes, but that would never happen because you were asleep. You didn’t know he was there at all. It was weird knowing that you wouldn’t open your eyes even though Adam was staring at you.

He eyed your thin lips, and had to refrain from kissing them. They were so lonely and unsuspecting, perfect for kissing. But he knew better than to wake you up. Your cheeks were not flushed like they were during the day and your hair was not combed like it was during the day. Your hair was messy but he liked it. Your perfectionism never allowed you to have a bed head sometimes, but Adam thought it was satisfying to see it all messed up.

Stanheight liked how you looked in this moment a lot… in more ways than one. Stooping, Adam pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. You snuggled closer to your pillow, and Adam sighed. He noticed your lips again, and how close they were to his. It was driving him mad, almost. Those perfect lips, the ones that greeted him everytime he came home from work. The ones that opened for him every time before bed. The ones that always told him they loved him. Without stopping to think he dropped his mouth to yours. Slowly, carefully, so as to not disturb you, Adam kissed you lamely. It was lame because the other half wasn’t recuperating.

The swirling feelings of kissing you were dull but there nonetheless. He loved every moment of it. Your warm, soft, mouth on his mouth made him happy.  Then Adam leaned back, feeling somewhat satisfied. He had done what he had wanted to do, so he was happy now.

Adam combed his fingers through your (favorite color) hair. You had dyed it recently and it looked absolutely stunning. The dye was good, too. A week in and it wasn’t even washing out! Sometimes he could still smell the dye’s perfume. He admired the color on you for a little while. It suited you quite well.

You stuck an arm out of the blankets abruptly, causing Adam to lurch backwards. He was trying not to wake you, even if it didn’t look like it. You were just so vulnerable. He never ever got to see you like that. That was what made this moment so special. He trailed a hand down your shoulder all the way to your wrist, where he took hold of your hand.

For a moment his jeans felt heavy, like there was a sharp rock in his pocket. He could envision the white ring on your finger, shining magnificently. You, all dressed in white silks. The veil over your face, having to lift it up so that he could kiss you.

Your hands were a little sweaty from being under the blankets for so long.

Stanheight cupped your cheek and you leaned further into the pillow. Quickly, Adam pulled away. He was sure he would wake you up, if he kept doing this. You just looked so touchable. It was night’s like these, that Adam lost all sense of self-control. But he would never hurt you. Nothing like that!

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the object currently causing him the most discomfort. It was small and white, it glittered whenever the moonlight struck it the right way. He eyed it nervously, and rolled it between his pointer finger and his thumb. It was heavy too, he hoped you wouldn’t mind that. It was the one that made him think of you the most.

He held it up to his left eye so that he could see through the hole of the ring. There you were at the center, just like you always would be, because you were the center of his world. He needed you.

You didn’t know about the ring yet. He had been too nervous to ask you. All his friends were yelling at him for that. At least they hadn’t spoiled the surprise to Y/N yet.

Adam crept up behind you on the bed and slightly maneuvered around you till he was comfortable, then he closed his eyes, and breathed in your sweet, feathery, scent. He tucked the ring back into his pocket, and put his forehead on your back, wrapping his arms around your waist. Maybe tomorrow would be the day? He could feel your breaths, it made him calm. He breathed with you.

Adam nuzzled your neck pleasantly as the light grew brighter around the high-hanging curtains. Your skin was like cotton to his touch. Your hair was as wavy as the cotton fields, and your breath was as slow and magical like the breeze blowing through. Something about it was melodic and rhythmic. So perfect for him.

“I love you, Y/N,” he murmured into your hair.

Slowly, as time ticked by, - it was four at this point - Adam was able to fall asleep, curled up next to your warm, healthy body, dreaming of you and all the mischief the two of you’d get into. Stars and galaxies exploding into one another. Madness. Brilliance. Overlapping timelines. Hot and heavy, romantic pleasantries. All in all, it was a wonderful sight to see; a ridiculous rollercoaster ride - mostly nonsensical. If only YOU could’ve been there to share it with him.
