Sweet Pandemonium - Gally (The Maze Runner) Part 3 Of 16
Sweet Pandemonium - Gally (The Maze Runner) Part 3 of 16
Happy (late) Thanksgiving if you celebrate it! đŠ
~~~~~~~~~~
Yet another restless night and strange dreams had you up and atom as soon as the sun started to come up, and you managed to notice Minho going into the maze...with Alby.
Strange...Alby wasnât a Runner.
You quickly got dressed in your usual Builder attire, wincing as you tried to get around your sprained arm, and headed over to Newt, who was walking back from the maze doors. âDude, what the hell? Why is Alby going into the maze?â You asked hastily.
Newt sighed, keeping up with his pace back towards the Homestead. âHeâs gone to retrace Benâs steps. See why he mightâve been stung in the middle of the day.â He explained. âHeâll be fine, Y/N.â He said, sensing your apprehension towards the situation.
Gally didnât take the news of Alby too well when he found out. He thought it was stupid, and understandably so. But he tried not to let it distract him from doing his job. Although, your obvious distraction caused him to get a little hotheaded.
âIf youâre not gonna focus, then just go do something else.â Gally scolded.
âWhat? I-Iâm not...distracted.â A lie, but not for the reasons Gally thought. You knew Alby could take care of himself, it was the newfound information that Thomas felt just like you is what was insanely distracting.
Gally chuckled bitterly. âYeah...right. Just go hang out with your new buddy or something.â
Your heart seemed to clench at Gallyâs hurtful tone, but you chose to wear a bored expression and listened to his petty request. âFine.â
Newt smirked when he saw your scowl as you walked over to their little group, clutching you machete tightly. âTrouble in paradise?â He teased.
You held up your middle finger, proceeding to kneel down beside Zart to help him cut down a tree base with your good arm, which was thankfully your dominant one. âNever been paradise.â You muttered. âHeâs upset about Alby.â
âDonât bring it up, please. Tommy and I just had a lengthy conversation about it.â Newt sighed, giving an irritated glance over to the Greenie who was sitting on a log with Chuck.
Thomas rolled his eyes, getting up to help cut down the last of the tree. âThere ya go, Greenie.â
You looked up towards the sky, noticing the darkening of the clouds and the cooler air, soon feeling the cool water raining down. âGreat.â You mumbled, gathering your tools and heading to the Homestead along with everyone else.
You and Gally met each otherâs gaze while walking towards cover from the rain, he seemed remorseful, but he looked away and continued forward. âYou alright?â Thomas asked from beside you.
âOh, uh, yeah. Iâm fine. What about you?â
Thomas sighed. âIâm worried about Minho and Alby. Shouldnât they be back by now?â
You shrugged, trying not to think about losing even more Gladers, but Thomas was less than satisfied with that answer and went to Newt.
Instead of following after Thomas, you went deeper into the Homestead, heading towards her hammock just to rest your feet while you could, also trying to ignore the aching in your arm.
You didnât know how much you could take of this. Spending your whole life in a prison, constantly watching your new friends die one after another. It was sickening. You didnât want this to be your life. It couldnât be. You felt like Thomas felt the same way, but you couldnât be sure just like you couldnât be sure if he felt the same way about your âconnection.â
God, you were so tired.
âY/N?â
You sighed when you saw Gally looking to you with a face of slight concern. âWhat is it?â You asked, not exactly trying to sound polite.
Gally scratched the back of his neck and took a step forward to you. âI just wanna say...Iâm...sorry.â He said, sounding like just saying the words were painful. âIâm just worried, I guess. About Alby.â
You nodded, understanding as you felt the same way. Though, being worried didnât cause you to be overly mean to someone, but you didnât feel that saying it out loud would get the conversation anywhere. âI get it. Iâm worried too.â
âCan I sit?â Gally asked, pointing to your hammock.
You blushed slightly, but nodded anyway, scooting over a bit to give him room to sit comfortably.
Trying not to blush was extremely difficult as it was, so trying not to blush when Gally sat right beside you, his body slightly leaning against yours, it was damn near impossible.
âIf I hurt your feelings, Y/N, Iâm sorry.â Gally sighed. âThe whole thing with Ben...â
âItâs okay, Gally.â You gave a reassuring smile, gently taking a hold of his larger hand. You almost grinned when you saw his face flush red. âBen didnât deserve to be stung. He was a good guy.â You said, rubbing your thumb over his knuckles.
âAll he wanted was to find a way out...look where that got him.â Gally huffed, making you frown. âThese shanks just gotta realize this is our home now.â
You shook her head. âThis isnât our home, Gally. Someone put us here, mostly likely against our will. This will never be our home.â
Gally scoffed. âCome on, Y/N.â
âWe shouldnât have to settle for this. We donât belong here.â You sighed, getting up from your hammock as you heard the rain stop thumping against the building.
Everyone gathered at the maze doors, waiting to see if the two Runner boys were alive, if they make it back before the doors closed.
Newt was visibly on edge, as was Thomas. The rest of the Gladers basically had the mentally that Minho and Alby were goners. Gally stood beside you as you were biting your nails nervously. You werenât particularly close with Alby, but hanging around Newt meant hanging around Minho, therefore you were his friend by association.
As the doors groaned loudly, you let out a quiet whimper, running your fingers through your hair furiously as the doors started to close. Gally placed his hand on your shoulder to try and comfort you in some way, but it didnât do much when Thomas pointed out two shadowy figured at the end of the entrance passage of the maze.
âItâs them!â Thomas yelled.
But something was wrong.
Minho was dragging an unconscious Alby by his arms. The doors were still closing rapidly, all the Gladers yelling words of encouragement toward Minho...he wasnât going to make it.
âThomas, no!â You yelled along with the rest of the Glader boys, watching in horror as he made a run for it before the doors closed completely.
If it werenât for Gally keeping a firm hand on your shoulder, you wouldâve absolutely ran after Thomas, probably getting crushed to death in process. âNo! Fuck!â You yelled, shoving Gally off of you and storming off towards the woods.
âY/N! Wait! Goddamn it...â Gally called out after you, trying to jog to catch up with you. âWhat the fuck is wrong with you?â He yelled when he finally found you.
âWhat?â You yelled.
âYou were gonna go after that slinthead! Why the fuck would you do that, huh?â Gally fussed, making you groan and roll your eyes. âAnswer me!â
âI know him!â You let out in a rage, immediately sighing in frustration.
Gally furrowed his brows. âWhat...what do you mean you know him?â He asked, almost accusatory.
âI...I donât remember him. I just feel like I know him, or knew him. Before the maze, and I donât know why. Itâs confusing, I know. But itâs something I can just feel in my gut.â
âThat makes absolutely no sense.â
You sighed. âI know...trust me, I know. I didnât ask for this.â
âEven if you did somehow knew him before coming here, that doesnât mean you have to risk your life for him. It was stupid. And if I wasnât there, youâd be dead right now.â Gally scolded, and then he sighed. âDo you...have feelings for him?â
You snapped your head up towards Gally with a look of shock. You definitely never expected to hear that come from his mouth. âWhat? No!â
âDonât lie to me, please.â
âNo! I donât, geez. I like you, shuckface!â
Gally paled. He wasnât exactly expecting that either. âYou do?â He stuttered.
You rolled your eyes for, probably, the tenth time that day. âYes, you twit. I thought that was obvious.â
Gally seemed speechless for a moment, placing his hands on his hips while looking to the ground. âWhy didnât you tell me sooner?â
You chuckled bitterly. âWhen would I have had the time?â
He shrugged. âYou did now.â You sighed yet again. âIâd kiss you, but you seem to be in a state of distress...â
You gave him an incredulous look. âAnd youâre not distressed? I know you donât like Thomas, but Minho and Alby?â
âI do care, okay? But theyâre gone now...thereâs nothing we couldâve done.â
âThere was though! We couldâve sent someone to find them!â
âItâs against the rules, you know that.â
âJust something! Not just stand there and wait...â Your voice wavered.
Gally sighed, taking some steps toward you until he was right in front of you, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder. âIâm sorry...that we couldnât save them.â He said, pulling you into a hug while you just let tears fall freely from your eyes.
âThey could still make it...â You whispered, making Gally huff and release his hold on you.
âY/N...you canât be this dense. You know no one-â
âSurvives a night in the maze, I know. But Thomas is different...â
Gally rolled his eyes, running his hands over his face with a groan. âI canât listen to you drive yourself crazy over this. Theyâre gone, okay! Theyâre probably already dead. So just stop trying to convince yourself that theyâre not. Itâs the best, for you and the others.â
âGally-â
âDrop it.â He deadpanned, turning and storming off towards the Homestead.
You didnât want to believe him. You couldnât. You couldnât believe the first person you felt you mightâve known outside the Glade was dead after just days of meeting him.
So you kept telling yourself Thomas will survive. Minho can survive. And Alby.
You didnât speak to Gally at all after that conversation.
A lot of the Gladers thought you were insane, believing that there could be any hope for the three boys. Some of them were just curious, them all sitting scattered around the maze doors. But Chuck was standing right beside you, just anxious for those large doors to open.
You were grateful for Chuck.
You definitely felt a bit protective of him, since he was the youngest. It made you wonder if you had any siblings in the outside world, if they were even alive. If you did, you hoped that at least one of your parents were alive to take care of them if they were on the younger side.Â
But you probably would never know.
You and Chuckâs ears immediately perked up when the doors started to groan, signaling that they were about to open for the day.
Newt was anxious to see if the boys made it as well. He didnât want to lose any more friends. Even if he did go out to the Deadheads to cry out his frustration, he pretty much had already come to terms with the losses as soon as the doors closed yesterday evening.
You nervously starting biting off some of the rougher skin around your nails as the doors slowly parted open, just hoping that youâd see those three boys waiting to come back inside the Glade.
You winced when you accidently bit too much skin off, looking down to see crimson already start to bead at the surface of your thumb.
You sighed.
It felt like this was the longest time itâs ever taken for the doors to open. Probably because your anxiety was in overdrive, basically on the verge of a panic attack, but you didnât let it show. You couldnât, not when Newt would absolutely send you off to Jeff to do those stupid breathing exercises that you hated when you first came up in the Box.
Gally wasnât at the doors, obviously. You knew he wouldnât, not even for you. He was adamant that his fellow Gladers were already dead. God, you never wanted someone to be wrong so bad.
And yet, the doors now fully opened...there was no one on the other side.
You felts tears burning your eyes as Newt placed his hands on you and Chuckâs shoulders, but you refused to let them fall. âIâm sorry...but I told you, theyâre not cominâ back.â Newt said sadly.
âCome on, Y/N.â Chuck sighed, dejectedly turning around to head back towards the middle of the Glade.
You almost did too...until you heard the shuffling of feet from inside the maze. So did Chuck.
You gasped when you saw Minho and Thomas carrying Alby. âNo way...â
âYeah!â Chuck cheered, while you ran into the maze corridor to help the two boys carry a still unconscious Alby, while all the other Gladers came back to witness this...a miracle really. It was against the rules, but couldnât care less.
âHow?â Was all you could say, in shock and awe.
âJust help us get this shank inside, will ya?â Minho grunted, while Thomas gave you an exhausted smile.
âEasy, easy.â Thomas said while lowering Alby to the ground, the Gladers surrounding the three boys.
âYou saw a Griever?â Chuck asked, seeing that Alby was stung when Jeff looked over him.
âYeah, I saw one.â Thomas panted.
Minho seemed to smirk, making you furrow your brows in confusion. âHe didnât just see it...he killed it.â
Ughhhhh, my computer broke...R.I.P. my whole life
I had such a lovely dream when I went to sleep today (donât mind me just being my nocturnal self)
I was back at my college campus, starting a new semester where I could actually attend classes in person and not online. And guess whoâs there?
None other than mister Will Poulter himself (but his name was Mark apparently...I love Midsommer too much lol). Also, Eef (Crankgameplays) was also there with Mika (his ex gf who is literally the sweetest). ALL THREE OF THEM WERE SO NICE TO ME! UWU
I love when my brain doesnât try to kill me in my subconscious like it normally does in my dreams.
can u do a headcanon about playing among us with Levi lol I thought it would be really funny
Oh my god, I love that idea so much. Thank you, Anon. Hope you enjoyđ
~~~~~~~~~~
When you first suggested it, Levi immediately said no.
You knew Levi never played video games, but you had so much fun playing that you wanted to share it with him.
After weeks and weeks of begging, Levi finally agreed to play ONE game session. But you had to promise to make it up to him.
You got all the brats (and Hange) together to play this special game, and they were all excited to see how annoyed Levi got...mostly excited to âkill himâ if one of them got Imposter.
After initially getting over Levi already being annoyed by technology and explaining how Among Us worked, it was finally time for the first game.
Levi slightly raised his eyebrows when he saw the big red bold letters appear at the top of the screen that read âImposter.â But he tried not to give it away as you were just on the other side of the room.
Levi wasnât stupid, he pretty much grasped the concept, but he found himself getting a little nervous. He didnât want to play this game already, so it was pretty bad luck to get Imposter the first time ever playing.
Deep down, Levi really wanted to impress you. So, he grit his teeth and told himself to try his best...even if he thought it was stupid.
The game started and Levi finally realized his fellow Imposter was Hange...great.
Heâd never even saw how she played as Imposter, but he already got the feeling that she wouldnât be great at it.
Since Levi had never played as Crewmate, it was pretty obvious to you that he was faking tasks. You found it adorable though, but he decided to stay silent about it.
Even though he was Imposter, Levi pretty much followed you and Eren around.
You three were in Electrical when the lights suddenly went out, but since you were right there you went to fix them. When you went back up to the top of the room, you saw the bottom half of Erenâs dark green body.
You thought about reporting for a minute, knowing you could get Levi out easily, but you decided against it.
Until Mikasa came in and reported immediately.
âY/N killed Eren in Electrical! She was standing over the body!â Mikasa shouted.
âWhat?! No! I found the body!â You shouted back.
âWhy didnât you report it then? You killed Eren.â She insisted, eliciting a frustrated groan from you.
âSus.â Jean said, everyone else agreeing.
You couldâve easily targeted Levi, but you wanted him to have a chance. âUgh, fine! If you donât believe me, then vote me out. But I swear, itâs not me.â
âMaybe we should listen to her.â Levi said.
âYouâre biased. Vote her out!â Jean pushed, quickly casting his vote.
Everyone but Levi voted for you while you just skipped. You cringed, knowing he shouldâve just voted for you. âUh, Levi...?â
You faked cried into your mic as your little cyan body floated off into space.
As a ghost, you followed Levi and Hange around, completely ignoring the rest of you tasks. Apparently, Eren wanted to watch too.
You giggled quietly as Hange teased Armin by standing over a vent, hopping in and out then killing him.
Levi walked around the ship, his hand twitching over the kill button and smirking as he found who he was looking for.
You gasped as he killed Mikasa in front of Hange and Jean, knowing that was an awful move.
âItâs Levi! Itâs Levi!â Jean yelled, definitely peaking his audio.
âUh, yeah.â Hange said, having no choice. âHe killed Mikasa in front of us in Nav.â
You heard Levi tsk into his mic. âShe got Y/N killed, the little brat.â
âHe just admitted it!â Jean yelled, peaking his mic yet again. âVote him!â
âShe deserved it.â Levi said bluntly.
It didnât take long to find the other Imposter, Hangeâs play style being extremely sloppy.
âOh, what a shame to get Imposter the first time playing.â You laughed.
âYeah, sorry Levi.â Jean laughed, clearly not sorry.
âIâm not. He killed Eren.â Mikasa said.
âYou blamed me for it, Mika!â You yelled.
Thankfully, Levi didnât get Imposter anymore after that.
He was surprisingly really good at susing the right people in the game, and most of the games were won by the Crewmates due to his good detective skills.
After everyone hopped off the discord call, you walked over to Levi with a hopeful smile on your face. âWell?â
Levi sighed, âI had...fun.â
You squealing happily, making Levi roll his eyes. âAlright, alright, brat.â
âIt really sucks getting Imposter without getting Crew beforehand.â
âI liked being Imposter, even if I didnât really know how to play properly.â
âYou just liked killing Eren and Mikasa.â
â...yes.â Â

Sweet Pandemonium - Gally (The Maze Runner) Part 7 of 16
Ugh, sorry itâs taken so long to update. I had a lot of trouble writing this, wanting to make it perfect and shit, but nothingâs perfect (taken from the wise words of Hannah Montana)Â
But better late than never I suppose. (also, over 4.5K words, jiminy christmas)Â
~~~~~~~~~~
âThomas!â
You watched helplessly as Teresa injected Thomas with the serum, him immediately passing out. âHeâll be okay, right?â
âHe should be. It worked on Alby.â
âWhere is Alby?â You asked, looking around.
âGriever got him...â Jeff answered sadly.
It was a blow for sure. You never truly knew Alby. He never was a close friend, but you respected him for taking the role of the leader. What would happen now that heâs gone?
âAlbyâs dead?â Gally asked, walking closer to you and Jeff.
âYou heard him, didnât ya?â Newt snapped.
Gally shook his head with a scowl. âNone of this wouldâve happened if Thomas werenât here.â
âGally, you donât know that.â You tried to say calmly.
âNo, Alby said he worked with them! Thomas is the reason all this shit started happening.â Gally preached to the Gladers, then turned to Teresa and Thomas, who was still unconscious. âHe gets banished, tomorrow.â
âGally!â You tried to stand, having some difficulty with your leg.
âGally, you canât-â
âNo, Newt!â Gally shouted. âHe goes.â You started to panic when a decent amount of Gladers took Gallyâs side, all mumbling in agreement. âThomas goes tomorrow, and anyone else who chooses his side!â
You looked to Teresa cradling Thomasâ head in her lap. You knew she already made her choice.Â
âTake them to the Pit.â Gally ordered, a few Builders quickly carrying out the task.
âGally, you canât be serious!â You said, hobbling towards him.
âYouâre blind if you canât see that itâs all his fault. Ever since he got here. Ben, Alby, everyone who got attacked tonight...and you. All because he canât control himself.â
âSo you gonna banish me if I take his side then?â You asked, glaring up at him.
Gally chuckled bitterly. âYouâre not going to.â
âOh, yeah? And why is that, huh?â
âBecause I said so.â
You kept glaring at Gally until Jeff awkwardly cleared his throat. âIf the building is still standing, we gotta get you to the infirmary. I need to clean that wound and the stuff I need is back there.â
âGo on.â Gally said coldly.
You scoffed, but turned around to follow Jeff. âHe canât do this...â You muttered to yourself.Â
You winced as Jeff cleaned your wound, it almost stung worse than it did when you first got hurt. He just began to wrap your leg when Newt and Minho entered the room, quickly shooing Jeff out of the room.
They both gave you expectant looks. âWhat?â
âY/N, you need to try to get through to Gally.â Newt said, causing you to sigh in frustration.
âYeah, the shank might actually listen to you.â Minho said.
âI donât know, guys. We already went at it when he first ordered him to be locked up. You two know how stubborn he is.â You frowned.
âWell, we canât just do nothing, can we.â Newt huffed.
âI know, I know...â You sighed. âIâll try again, okay? But what will we do if he doesnât listen to me?â
Newt and Minho looked to each other in thought. âWeâll talk to Tommy when he wakes up, come up with a plan B.â
âNone that hurts Gally...please.â
Minho rolled his eyes, but Newt gave you a sympathetic look. âIf you get through to Gally, we wonât have to.â
You huffed, great words of encouragement, Newt...
But you nodded, trying to keep a calm face even though you were terrified of what could happen if you didnât get through to Gally.
After Jeff patched you up, thankfully, your leg felt a hell of a lot better, but you still had a bit of a limp. But when entering the roughed up Homestead, Gally wasnât there. You scowled, itâs almost like he knew you were going to try and talk to sense into him.
Trying to find the tall boy proved to be difficult in the dark, but in the distance you could see a tiny light near the gardens. Walking closer to the light, you could make out a figure sitting down on the ground next to the torch.
You frowned when you saw Gally staring blankly at the small foundation that you two built that day, it torn apart, pieces of wood and splinters littering the ground.
Grievers mustâve gotten to it...
âShouldnât you be asleep?â
You were startled when Gally spoke, you thought he couldnât see you. âYouâre asking me that?â You quickly recovered.
You heard Gally chuckle weakly, then standing up and turning to face you. âWhat do you want, Y/N?â He sighed, looking like he was already dreading what you were going to say next.
âYou canât...banish Thomas and Teresa, Gally.â You said, making Gally roll his eyes and exhale an annoyed breath.
âHere we go again...â He shook his head. âYou canât change my mind. Everyone here knows Iâm right. Thomas is the cause of all this. And you know it too, the look on your face gives it all away.â
âGally, the second rule of the Glade is to never harm another Glader. What happened to that, huh?â
Gally smirked, walking closer to you. âThomas isnât a Glader. You heard Alby, same as everyone else.â
âEven if he was one of them, he got sent up here, same as us. And youâre forgetting, that I think I know him. What if I was one of them too?â
Gally scowled. âYouâre not. Nothing went wrong when you got here, just when Thomas came up.â
You sighed in frustration, the conversation was going nowhere. âGal, please. Donât do this.â You begged, feeling unwanted tears welling up in your eyes.
Gallyâs face softened, but he gently shook his head. âIâm doing this to protect you, to protect everyone. Everything will go back to the way it was after they leave.â
âWhat if they donât? What if things shouldnât go back to the way it was?â
âEveryoneâs in danger with him here. I canât let anyone else get hurt because of that shank, especially not you.â
âGally...â You whispered.
âI canât let you get hurt again, Y/N.â Even in the dark, you could see the oncoming blush that dusted Gallyâs face. âI donât know what Iâd do if you died.â
You didnât have any response. You failed... âThereâs nothing I can do to convince you, huh...â
The tears in your eyes finally spilled when Gally reached up to caress your face, it was gentle and he looked at you with a soft gaze, but you couldnât help but feel it was condescending in a way.
You gently removed Gallyâs hand with a frown, you immediately noticed his bruised knuckles. You weakly smiled as you ran your thumb over the bruising. âIâm sorry...â Gally whispered, then pulled his hand away. âYou should, uh, get some sleep.â
You nodded and turned away without another word, harshly wiping away your fallen tears.
Newt and Minhoâs faces dropped simultaneously as soon as they saw the defeated look on your face. âNo luck, then?â Newt frowned.
You shook your head. âI tried...â
Newt nodded his head gently and sighed. âYeah, well...weâll figure it out in the morning. Letâs all just...take a breather until then, yeah?â
âKnew that shank wouldnât change his slinthead mind...â Minho huffed.
âMinho.â Newt snapped slightly. âLetâs all just get some sleep.â He said, gently patting Minho on the shoulder before walking away.
Suffice to say that you didnât get a great nightâs sleep that night, tossing and turning, not being able to calm you nerves enough to relax. Eventually, your heavy eyelids closed and before you knew it, the sun came up.
You started to get up and ready, dreading whatever the day would bring.
The anxiousness that you felt as soon as you woke up intensified as you didnât see Gally around, and that definitely couldnât be good. Throughout the day, you kept checking in with Newt, and Thomas was still passed out unfortunately.
You made sure you let him know that you were on their side. You didnât want Thomas and Teresa to be banished just as much as Newt and Minho.
It was awful, knowing there was nothing you could say to change Gallyâs mind. You really hoped whatever plan that was made wouldnât hurt him, you still cared for him.
As the day neared the time the Maze doors would start to close, you quickly noticed Gally and a few other Gladers walking towards the doors, carrying tall poles of wood.
Oh no, what the hell was he planning?
You quickly went to find Newt, who was at the Slammers with Minho and Chuck. You smiled in relief when you saw Thomas was awake. âHey, when did you wake up?â Thomas didnât reply, he just kept staring at the ground, along with Teresa. In fact, everyone at the cell were silent and avoiding eye contact. âGuys?â
Newt quickly cleared his throat. âHe woke up not too long ago. Weâve been talking, trying to come up with some sort of plan.â
âWait.â Thomas interrupted. âY/N, are you with us?â
âUh, yeah, of course.â You stuttered.
âI have no idea how this is gonna go today. If Gally gets in our way of leaving...will you still help us?â
âThomas, if I didnât want to help you, I wouldnât be here. I would be over there helping Gally doing whatever the hell heâs doing. Okay?â You sighed.
He nodded, frowning. âWe have to try and get through to him.â
âWeâve already tried, well, Y/N has.â Minho scowled.
âWell, we can try again, Minho.â Thomas snapped, then shook his head. âWe have to try...â
âOkay, then.â Newt subtly rolled his eyes. âWhatâs the plan?â
After discussing what all of you would do if you didnât get through to Gally, you were tasked with helping Chuck load up on supplies. âDo you think we can do this, like, actually get out of this place?â Chuck asked timidly.
You were quiet for a moment. Itâs not like you were a pessimist, but you definitely not an optimist. You had no idea what to tell Chuck. âUh...â
âI get it.â He said, smiling weakly. âI donât know if itâs even a good idea to have hope anyway...â
You frowned, turning to Chuck and placing a hand on his shoulder. âItâs never wrong to have hope, bud. Iâm not going to say weâll get through this without any trouble, I donât want to lie to you. But if anyone can get us out of the Maze, itâs Thomas.â
Chuck nodded, forcing another smile. âThanks, Y/N. You should probably go now. Iâve got this.â
You patted his shoulder and started walking out towards the Maze doors, seeing everyone already gathered around, Teresa being held by a former Runner and Thomas âunconscious.â
âThis is such a waste.â You heard Gally say as you walked up.
âGally.â You spoke up, gaining Gallyâs attention. âYou donât have to do this.â
âSheâs right. It doesnât feel right, man.â Winston added, causing you to throw a grateful smile his way.
âYeah, what if Thomas is right? Maybe he can lead us home.â Jeff said.
âWe are home. Okay? I donât wanna have to cross anymore names off that wall.â Gally said.
âYou really think banishing us is gonna solve anything?â Teresa asked, looking around desperately.
âNo. But this isnât a banishing...itâs an offering.â
You furrowed your brows, taking a cautious step towards Gally. âWhat do you mean?â You tried not to say angrily.
âWhat?â Teresa said, quickly being tied up to the post by the former Runner. âWait! Gally, what are you doing?â
âYou really think Iâm gonna let Thomas back into the Maze after what heâs done? Look around you! Look at our Glade. This is the only way. And when the Grievers get what they came here for, everything goes back to the way it was.â
During Gallyâs rant, Newt and Minho nodded to you and at each other, signaling that it was almost time...
âAre you listening to this? Why are you all just standing there, heâs crazy.â Teresa said, immediately eliciting a hush from Gally. âIf you stay here, the Grievers are going to come back. Theyâre gonna come back and theyâre gonna keep coming back until youâre all dead.â
âShut up! Tie him up!â Gally ordered, quickly scowling when his allies hesitated.
âGally, please! Donât do this!â
âShut up, Y/N!â He snapped, then turned back to the two Gladers beside Thomas. âDo you hear me? I said tie him up!â
And then, everything seemed to happen all at once.
Thomas suddenly jumped up and quickly forced away the two Gladers, Newt helping him by knocking one of them out. Teresa kicked the Runner in the nuts, Frypan quickly cutting her loose from her bonds.
Gally went to reach for his machete, but he quickly froze when he felt another blade be placed at his shoulder. He slowly turned to see you on the other side of your own machete, you looking at him with great sadness and disappointment in your eyes.
âYou too, huh?â Gally whispered, only loud enough for you to hear.
âIâm sorry...â You whispered back so quietly that you just hoped he could read lips. You slowly walked around Gally to join the little group rallied beside Thomas, standing next to Teresa.
âYouâre full of surprises, arenât you?â Gally directed to Thomas.
âYou donât have to come with us, but we are leaving.â Thomas said, keeping his spear up defensively. âAnyone else who wants to come, nowâs your last chance!â He said to the other Gladers behind Gally.
âDonât listen to him, heâs just trying to scare you.â Gally said.
âNo, Iâm not trying to scare you, youâre already scared. Alright, Iâm scared. But Iâd rather risk my life out there then spending the rest of it in here. We donât belong here. This place isnât our home. We were put here. We were trapped here. At least out there, we have a choice.â Thomas paused, âWe can make it out of here. I know that.â
Slowly, Winston started to cross over, causing Gally to wear a look of shock and disappointment. Then, Jeff crossed over, quietly uttering an apology to Gally as he passed. A few more Gladers joined, only leaving a handful of boys behind Gally.
âItâs over.â Thomas said.
âGal,â You voiced softly, âcome with us. Please.â
Gally looked at you with a soft gaze, you could almost see the inner turmoil in his eyes. His bottom lip trembled slightly, and you thought, just for a second, that he was going to walk to you. But his gaze turned cold once more, tearing his gaze away from you.
âGood luck against the Grievers.â Gally said, his voice wavering.
And with that, everyone on Thomasâ team turned to run into the Maze. But you gave Gally one final look, quietly saying goodbye, until Teresa called out for you. Then you took off after the group.
You tried not to tear up as you followed Thomas and Minho leading the group through the Maze. You couldnât even have the time to process that you were actually in the Maze for the first time. All the running and focusing on not tripping kept your mind occupied, plus the pain that intensified in your leg made it tough. A part of you wished you stayed behind just so you didnât have to deal with all this painful running.
Yeah...you were never cut out to be a Runner.
Thomas yelling out encouragements and Teresa making sure to run with you definitely helped out your motivation to keep going. And soon, you were almost there. Passing through large open sections of the Maze, running through the rusty Blades, you were finally there.
Thomas peeked around the corner. âIs there a Griever?â Chuck asked when he saw his almost panicked face.
âYeah.â Thomas whispered.
âShit.â
âYou take this Chuck, stay behind us.â Minho said, handing over the key.
âItâs okay.â Teresa said reassuringly. âJust stick with me and Y/N.â
âOnce weâre through, itâll activate and the door will open. We stay close. We stick together. We get through this. We get out now, or we die trying.â Thomas encouraged. You only then felt the nerves of what you all were about to do. âReady?â Thomas asked.
Everyone nodded, shakily preparing their weapons. âLetâs go!â Tomas yelled, quickly running and leading the charge of teenagers to the exit.
You clutched your machete tightly, the Griever immediately noticing everyone and charging at the group. As ugly as ever, you thought.
You stayed by Chuck and Teresa as the boys took the first brunt of the attack. Quickly, the group were down a couple Gladers. The monster bounded forward, spreading itâs long legs. Teresa made swift work of the leg in front of her, slicing it with her machete.
You suddenly saw the key flying through the air, Chuck immediately running after it. âWatch the edge!â You shouted as he ran after the key.
You quickly ran to Chuck in a panic as half of his body was dangling over the edge of the stone bridge, quickly pulling him up with the help of Teresa.
And as the boys pushed the Griever off the edge, another two quickly climbed up over the edge where you were standing with Teresa and Chuck.
You quickly pushed Chuck ahead of you and Teresa, calling out for help. The three of you ran to the door, the key beeping rapidly as the stone walls moved. âIt worked!â Chuck cheered.
âGo!â Thomas called out.
You, Teresa, and Chuck ran into the Griever Hole, soon finding out the last exit was shut. âThereâs gotta be a way out!â
Suddenly, a red light illuminated the shallow tunnel, a sequence of numbers from one to eight waiting to be placed in a certain order. âThereâs a code! Eight numbers!â You yelled to Thomas.
Soon, Minho started calling out a pattern of numbers, Teresa quickly entering them into the screen. âSeven, one, five, two, six, four-â
âMinho!â
You looked on in horror as a Griever suddenly fell from the sky, landing right on top of Minho. You ran out of the Griever Hole, throwing your machete right at the grotesque creature, giving Minho a chance to place his spear in the monsterâs mouth as it screeched in pain.
But it was too strong, Jeff lunged forward, stabbing the Griever with his wooden spear, allowing Minho to escape. But at a deadly cost. âJeff!â You cried as a Griever took hold of Jeff by his abdomen, itâs teeth digging into his flesh and dragging him back.
Newt quickly pulled you back into the Griever Hole, where Teresa was still trying different combinations. Minho quickly gave the last four numbers, and thankfully, it finally worked.
The three stone walls soon closed, crushing all the Grievers. Then, the last door closed, leaving you all in pitch black darkness until the exit door opened. You all entered through the door to find yourselves in a long hallway, lights along the ceiling all lighting up one by one.
The air wasnât cold, but it was cool enough to give you goosebumps all over your arms. A definite change from all the outside heat you had to endure everyday.
You all looked both ways, and the halls seemed to go on and on. But the group had to choose which way to go, and conveniently, you all walked down the hall enough to see a door.
âExit.â The sign above the door read.
âSeriously?â Frypan voiced everyone elseâs thoughts.
Walking through the door, the group noticed very quickly how everything seemed to be destroyed. Dead bodies were all around, lights broken and flickering, discarded guns laying about, and shattered glass everywhere.
âWhat happened here?â You thought aloud.
Everyone looked around the place, seeing even more dead bodies, some in armor and some wearing lab coats. All presumably killed by bullet wounds.
âHello. My name is Dr. Ava Paige.â The group suddenly heard echo around the room, everyone crowded around the computer screen that the message was playing on. âIâm the director of operations of the World Catastrophe Killzone Department.â
W.C.K.D...
âIf youâre watching this, that means youâve successfully completed the Maze trials. I wish I could be there in person to congratulate you,â A sudden blaring siren could be heard from the video. âbut circumstances seem to have prevented it.â
Everyone in the background of the video were panicking as the sirens continued to blare.
âIâm sure by now you must all be very confused. Angry. Frightened. I can only assure you that everything thatâs happened to you, everything that weâve done to you, it was all done for a reason. You wonât remember, but the sun has scorched our world. Billions of lives lost to fire, famine, suffering on a global scale. The fallout was unimaginable. What came after was worse. We called it the Flare. A deadly virus that attacks the brain. It is violent. Unpredictable. Incurable. Or so we thought.â
âIn time, a new generation emerged that could survive the virus. Suddenly, there was a reason to hope for a cure. But finding it would not be easy. The young would have to be tested, even sacrificed inside harsh environments where their brain activity could be studied. All in an effort to understand what makes them different. What makes you different. You may not realize it, but youâre very important. Unfortunately, your trials have only just begun.â
You furrowed your brows in confusion as multiple people in uniforms piled into the room outside of the doctorâs office, shooting down multiple workers.
âAs youâll no doubt soon discover, not everyone agrees with our methods. Progress is slow, people are scared. It may be too late for us, for me, but not for you. The outside world awaits. Remember. Wicked is good.â
The doctor put a pistol to her head, quickly pulling the trigger as the armored up soldiers began to shoot through the glass windows of her office.
The group surrounding the computer screen all backed away, looking back to the office where a body was laying. You all slowly walked towards it until another blaring siren was heard, two automatic doors suddenly opening. Â
The group looked to the tunnel leading out of the room, to the outside world. âIs it over?â Chuck broke the silence.
âShe said weâre important...â Newt said. âWhatâre we supposed to do now?â
âI donât know...â Thomas whispered. âLetâs just get out of here.â
The group went to walk to the exit, but was suddenly stopped by a familiar voice. âNo.â
You gasped when you all turned to see Gally. âGally?â You foolishly smiled, motioning to walk to him.
âDonât.â Teresa stopped you, putting a hand on your arm. âHeâs been stung.â
You soon noticed that Teresa was right...he was stung. Black and purple veins protruded all over him, just like how Ben was those few days ago. Only difference was, Gally was holding a gun.
You could already feel the tears building up as you saw Gally visibly shaking, his eyes dark from the Griever venom. âWe canât leave.â Gally said, his hand shaking and tears pooling at his eyes.
âWe did. Gally, weâre out. Weâre free.â Thomas said calmly, holding up his hands slightly.
âFree?â Gally chuckled bitterly. âYou think weâre free out there? No. No, thereâs no escape from this place.â He lifted the gun, pointing it at Thomas, tears rolling down his face.
âGally...â You voiced, Gally looking to you, but you didnât recognize him as the boy you once knew. âPlease, put down the gun. This isnât you...itâs the Griever venom.â You tried taking a step towards him, but he immediately pointed the gun at you, causing you to hold in a breath.
Teresa quickly pulled you back next to her as Thomas tried speaking to Gally again. âGally, listen to me. Youâre not thinking straight. Youâre not. We can help you. Just put down the gun.â
âI belong to the Maze.â Gally sobbed.
âPlease, just put down the gun, Gal.â
âWe all do.â Gally squeezed the trigger, a single shot ringing out. At the same moment, Minho threw his his spear and it landed right into Gallyâs chest.
You screamed as Gally gasped for air, quickly falling to the floor. Not even hesitating as you ran to Gally, kneeling beside his fallen figure. âNo, no, no, no, no.â You cried, cradling his face in your hands.
âY/N...â He choked out, blood seeping out his mouth.
âNo, please...â You sobbed, clinging onto his shoulder, desperately looking him over to see if there was any way to help him.
âIâm sorry...â Gally whispered, weakly lifting his hand to caress your cheek.
âNo. No. Youâre, youâre gonna be okay. Youâre gonna be fine.â You attempted to say, your tears causing your voice to waver enough that your words came out mumbled.
By this time, Chuck had already fallen to the floor, him catching the stray bullet that was meant for Thomas. But all you were focused on was the dying boy in your arms.
âI wish...that we had,â Gally coughed, âmore time...â The hand on your face dropping to your hand, squeezing gently.
You were too much of a sobbing mess to even form a coherent sentence.
âI wanted to build you that hut...live in it with you one day...â
âGally...â
âI wish I told you how I felt sooner...â He cried softly as he struggled to breathe.
âMe too...â You managed to voice.
Gally had no more left to say, and he was slowly drifting off. So he did want he had wanted to do ever since you came up in the Box, and there was no venom or force powerful enough to make him forget it.
He brought his hand to the back of your neck, gently pulling you down to make your lips hover above his. Before he fully leaned in to kiss you, he whispered, âI love you.â
You tried not to sob as he kissed you with as much passion as he could. In the back of your mind, knowing this was the first and last time youâd be able to be so intimate with the boy you cared about so dearly.
âHey, Chuck, come on!â Thomas yelled, finally gaining your attention.
Chuck laid there, unmoving, eyes glossed over, and blood seeping through his shirt.
No...not you too...
âCome on, wake up...â Thomas sobbed. âDamn it! We made it, come on. Goddamn it! Damn it!â He wailed.
Suddenly, the final exit doors opened, causing sunlight to burn through the room. Same looking soldiers running in and quickly ordering the Gladers outside. Three of them having to forcibly remove and drag Thomas out and away from Chuckâs corpse.
You shook your head violently, clutching onto Gally as a couple soldiers made their way over to you. âNo! No! Get away!â You hissed.
The soldiers quickly grabbed onto you harshly, pulling you away from Gally. You tried to fight, but the physical and emotional anguish you just endured made you weak. âNo, please! We canât leave him!â You screeched, trying to claw your way back to the boy. âGally!â You wailed, the boy getting farther away and soon completely out of view as the soldiers ran.
You suddenly felt scorching heat and light blinding your eyesight. Once adjusted, you realized you were in the middle of the desert, being dragged to a helicopter by the soldiers.
You were thrown inside the helicopter, next to a still crying Thomas. Teresa threw her arms around you and pulled you close to her as you tried to stifle your sobs.
Grief quickly changed to confusion and shock as the helicopter lifted into the air, one of the soldiers taking off his helmet to greet the group. âDonât worry. Youâre safe now.â
As the helicopter rose, the group looked out the windows with wide eyes to see the Maze in its entirety. It looked so huge, even from the sky...
âRelax, kids. Everythingâs gonna change.â
Haha, the way I totally didnât tear up writing this...haha not me, nope. Listening to âGassedâ from the Midsommer OST isnât good for me. So, Iâm skipping the Scorch Trials cause I just donât wanna do it. Hopefully the timeskip Iâm planning wonât be too jarring for readers. Fingers crossed. Until then...
Dating Levi - Attack on Titan
Kinda weird assortment (head-canony), but here ya go. I made this like last year when I was obsessed with this man, so I thought Iâd post it. Turns into an imagine at the end.
~~~~~~~~~~

You love Leviâs smile. You donât see it often, but it makes your whole life brighter every time he does.
Levi loves your hands. When you joined the Survey Corps, your hands were so soft and smooth. Somehow, theyâve still kept their smoothness and Levi takes every opportunity to hold them.
You love that Levi lets you vent to him. No matter how stupid and petty the thing youâre upset about, he always listens to you.
You love when Levi calls you âbrat.â Even if he means it as an insult, you still find it endearing.
You annoy Levi so that he calls you âbrat.â
Levi loves that you love cleanliness. You make sure your room/desk/house/etc. is always tidy. But he also loves you can get your hands dirty when you need to.
You and Levi are so similar in the way you always take your job seriously and really care for your team. You two make a deadly combination when it comes to killing Titans.
Levi is not an emotional person, so whenever he comes to you for emotional support and allows himself to be vulnerable with you, you fall in love with him even more.
Levi always worries about you whenever you two have to split up for missions. He knows fully well that you can handle yourself, but that worry is always in the back of his mind and he always thinks of when he lost Farlon and Isabel.
You two always train together. At first, Levi would always kick your ass. Slowly but surely, you learned all his moves and techniques, so it really shocked him when you used his own moves against him and knocked him on his ass one day.
Levi used to go easy on you during training. But since you grew stronger, you two never pull your punches and most of the time the fight ends in a tie.
You love waking up in Leviâs arms.
You always admire his face when he sleeps. He looks peaceful and not angry.
Levi rolls his eyes whenever he wakes up to see you staring at him, but he can never help the small smile and blush that forms on his face.
However, youâre the opposite. You look like you can kill a bitch when you sleep.
Youâre the only person that can get Levi flustered. And you always love to do it at the most inappropriate times, mostly when youâre with company.
Levi always makes you pay for flustering him whenever you get back to the privacy of your bedroom.
You both get nightmares, a lot. Most of your nightmares are memories of seeing your family get eaten by Titans, and sometimes Levi. Levi is pretty much the same, but about you and his team and sometimes himself.
When you get a nightmare, you usually wake up in a cold sweat and panic for a few seconds before you realize it was just a dream. You never wake up Levi because you didnât want him to worry about you. But one night, you had a nightmare so bad that you woke up crying and screaming. Levi immediately woke and comforted you. And from then on, whenever you wake up from a nightmare, screaming or not, Levi always wakes up to make sure youâre okay.
When Levi gets a nightmare, he usually mumbles and whimpers in his sleep and he canât wake up from the nightmare. Most of the time, it wakes you up. You always make sure to wake him up and assure him it was just a dream. He would nod and pull you into his chest, not letting you go until he falls asleep. Whenever he dreams Farlon and Isabel, he usually cries when he wakes.
You both rarely get into arguments. On those rare occasions, itâs usually about who gets to kill a Titan or who goes on what mission. Those never last more than a few minutes.
At first, Levi hated you. He thought you were annoying and useless. You were only made part of his team because Erwin forced him to take you on. He quickly realized he underestimated you when you killed two Titans without a hitch on your first mission.
Then as time went on, Levi started to hate you again. He hated the way you made him feel. Whenever heâd see you smile or laugh, heâd get a warm fuzzy feeling. He hated it. He didnât want to care about you so much, but he learned to embrace it.
Your first impression of Levi was that he was kind of a douchebag. You recognized that he was an amazing Titan killer and leader and you respected him, but he was so cold and unnerving to you. When you realized he despised you, you made it your mission to get him to like you. It worked somehow.
You and Levi arenât very touchy feely, and you both arenât a fan of PDA. To everyone who didnât know you, you guys only looked like acquaintances.
Levi is extremely protective of you though. Whenever someone is dumb enough to flirt with you, they end up getting a punch in the nose.
You know Levi is adored by many people, just look at him. How could they not? Many people try to throw themselves at him. Youâre not the jealous type, but it does get annoying when it gets in the way of your work.
Levi actually finds it really attractive that you trust him so much that you never get jealous when men and women try to flirt with him. Of course, Levi would never cheat. He finds it more annoying when people flirt with him than you do.
Youâre not the type of couple that says âI love youâ to each other a lot. But when you do, itâs rare. Actions speak louder than words to you guys.
Surprisingly, Levi was the one who said âI love youâ first.
You were with Leviâs team when the female Titan showed up. You tried to save Petra, but the Titan pulled one of your wires on your mobility gear and you crashed hard into a tree.
Before you blacked out, you saw Petra get killed, Eren turn into his Titan form quickly after.
When Levi went back to his team, he saw you laying below the tree you crashed into. His heart almost stopped. You looked dead. He quickly went to your side, and sure enough, you were still breathing...barely.
You woke up after the whole mission was over. You woke up in a bed, and your whole body was aching so bad you wished you didnât wake up. Levi was also by your bedside, he never left when the group got back. Bunch of broken ribs, concussion, laceration of your right arm, fractured wrist, and a broken leg.
You were extremely lucky.
Levi shakily exhaled a breath of relief when he saw your eyes open. You saw he looked exhausted. âYou look like shit.â You said, failing to keep your voice lighthearted.
Levi rolled his eyes when he heard your comment. âYou should look in a mirror.â
Levi was so worried about you. He thought heâd have to deal with losing another person he cared about. He couldnât keep his feelings anymore, too worried you would die not knowing how he felt about you.
âI love you, Y/N. So, so much. I was so scared that youâd die, that youâd leave me. I was scared that youâd die not knowing how I feel. So, I love you brat. I love you.â
The sudden deceleration of his love was a bit overwhelming. You never heard him talk about love, especially not about a person. You knew he cared about you, a lot. But this was the first time he ever expressed it out loud.
With no hesitation or doubt in your voice, you said, âI love you too.â
