A while ago, I mentioned that I have a bit of a crack headcanon that Greylock would sing heartbreak songs. For some reason, now every time I hear those kinds of songs, I think of that.

And here I am.

But of course, I grew up listening to these classics of my culture and I can only think about it, so that's why the song. All of you are going to appreciate Amanda Miguel and you'll like her 🫵🏼

This comes not only from that headcanon but also from something I wrote (here).

I drew all of this during class and it's funny to think that I don't have any notes because of this but it's worth it, lol.

Although, in fact I already went to check the scene and indeed Magnus does not appear, I don't know why I thought he did.

Which makes sense because he doesn't have any children or nephews that as far as we know go to Royal Prep. I don't know why I remember him there.

Anyway, that reminded me of the other headcanon I have of Magnus inviting himself to the celebrations just because he doesn't want to feel left out haha.

Greylock and Cedric cross paths at some point after Cedric's redemption. Both of them have changed a lot over the past couple of years since the jubilee, Cedric for the better, Greylock for the worse. Not sure who's more surprised upon seeing the other.

I really like this dynamic a lot and it would be interesting to see tbh.

I personally have the headcanon, a bit too developed in a story that only exists in fragments in my head, that Greylock (in addition to joining the order of the wand) was allied with a group of rebel-revolutionaries from Rudistan who had been planning a coup against Magnus for some time. That the wand's command gave Greylock the ability to obtain something so powerful to go against the king was just an added bonus.

When the order's plan fails, leading to the failure of these revolutionaries' plan, Greylock somehow manages to escape with the support of this group and is on the run for at least a year. (The course of the fourth season, since if I remember correctly, Magnus appears in Forever Royal)

After that year there is a kind of internal-civil war in Rudistan that lasts for another year, which finally leads to the overthrow of Magnus. With that, Greylock is free to be in Rudistan again.

Now, if we talk about the Cedlock...

In this same scenario I like to think that when things are better in Rudistan, Greylock communicates with Cedric through letters explaining what has happened in his life, trying to explain himself.

Especially since in this hallucinated headcanon I have, during the period of the civil-internal war, Rudistan isolated itself and closed communication with other kingdoms. (Work of Magnus' rebels/opponents so that he could not ask for reinforcements/help) which certainly worried Cedric besides not knowing about Greylock. (Something similar to the wonderful Swanoverse fanfic)

Because let's face it, I doubt Magnus is a good king. And I like to think that Greylock, if he certainly has a grudge against Magnus perhaps for the reasons that many people have pointed out before me, it would also be really cool if he was some kind of political-rebel.

I love Magric I love Magric I love Magric so much I want Magnus to be a hopeless romantic pining for the stupid sorcerer of Enchancia, and Cedric is just so oblivious and thinks King Magnus is just impressed by his magic and when he finds out Magnus actually likes him he gets so flustered and starts realizing all those small gifts weren't just as a congratulations for his talents but because he thought Cedric was smart and pretty and funny and he starts seriously considering being his lover because he also thinks King Magnus is pretty handsome and funny when it isn't a mean spirited comment and they would also gossip together and would have a slow burn friends to lovers thing because Cedric is still scared of messing up a relationship with a KING and Magnus respects that but fuck he can't stop himself from admiring the way Cedric's eyes glow in the sun or the way his soft cheeks turn pink everytime he's complimented even slightly on his appearance

I don't think I'm the author of this good ship because there have been other people who ship it before. However I would like to recommend, in case you haven't read it yet, a fic by Beanswtf125 about it.

It's in a collection of interesting stories that contain, well, in short, a lot of smut. But they are very entertaining! The series is called "In Cedric we simp for" on Ao3
