I have been drawing/doodling hydreigon for almost a year. I need to get this stuff off my tablet and post it X.X Anyway, I guess I go thru phases where I latch onto drawing a specific pokemon for months, and that is how this came about.
My reasoning behind the route I chose:I had wanted to try doing scales for the head, but I just couldn't get it work with the back of the head and the transition to the purple/magenta. So, I decided to go with feathers. I thought of crows for most of it at first. All the birds I referenced: Crows, ravens, harpy eagles, cockatoos, and cassowaries. For the head, I referenced utahraptors and other dromaeosaurs for the structure of the head. Going with the crest of a harpy eagle I think was the best decision to get that shape. I struggled a good bit to convey the blue skin and blue feathers, and make it distinguishable. I had to make a few brushes, like the pores and the skin texture on the snout. When I finally got it, I had a Mandark laugh moment XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiGIQrt1IaE Also, sorry that its just 1 of the heads. I'm going to have all 3 heads be the same.

I've been trying to figure how I want to draw hydreigon's body realistically, and it has been a struggle legit. Its going to be this giant crazy looking crow/dragon thing, this seraph, wyvern, hydra, ALL of them, looking thing, hot-mess express, BUT!! we'll get there soon. It'll have to be a sketchdump cause my doodles have gone on a journey. A realistic bald hydreigon would look like something out of a horror movie.. with all those heads and wings.

valve just straight up copying nintendo’s homework now

Spinosaurus’s mouth is… It sure is a thing that exists and is hard to figure out.
Wanted to do an examples of all three theorical face integument for a thing i’m working on: Lipless, partial lip, and lipped.
However the wrigly mouth makes the situation very awkward regardless of how you want to draw it.
Also bonus T.rex, from the same project. dealing with popular taxa for a real reason this time, i promise

I think i’m getting better with realism, not anywhere near perfect, but better.
Hi everyone! I'm Olivia Brown aka the voice of Izel on Onyx Equinox. You may know me from my old Tumblr account Livster-The-Schmuck AKA the one who made that dub of @coulsart 's comic of Chara beating the ever loving shit out of Santa Sans.
I'm posting because I have a favor to ask. For some reason animation twitter has been sleeping on Onyx Equinox which is a western adult animated show that takes its audience seriously. It is immensely popular in Latin America which is AMAZING but we want it to be popular in the states as well!
So I have a favor to ask! Please spread the word on this amazing show! Its an amazing labor of love from Sofia Alexander and her crew and it deserves more attention. Fantrexians, if you love Final Space and Invincible fans, if you love are digging Invincible so far, please give this show a chance! Plus its another amazing showcase of a female/LGBTQ/POC creator!
Thank you!!!!

you can fall in love at 30. you can discover your true passion at 40. you can go back to school at 50. you can learn to draw, or paint, or sing at 60. relax. just because you didn’t do most, or any, of the things considered “young adult milestones” doesn’t mean you never will. there’s no time limit on happiness.

My attempt to redesign the Lake Trio. Started off as me not liking uxie's design, even though uxie is my favorite of the 3. The 3 are based off of elves, sprites, and pixies respectively. Bothered me greatly that they don't have more fae characteristics. The changes I made
Ears, cause fae usually have pointed ears.
Feet, to be more like pointed fae shoes
Tails, to give each of them more individuality. The tails being the same was very copy and paste. As legendries, they need variety.
Hair, started with uxie, cause wtf was that.. I did try to keep their hair similar to the originals, but more fun and exciting.
You know what ALSO UPSETS me about this trio... they are not fairy types. They need to be fairy/psychic. How can FAIRY pokemon not be fairy type.........................................

this is so great. fuck toxic masculinity. we need something like this stateside (x) | follow @this-is-life-actually

Hatterene Redesign

I latched onto the idea hard. Had to do it.
I love Hatterene, she's on my playthrough team on Shield, and she'll be on my Sword playthrough too. But I'm not a fan of her body underneath. And the overly shapely figure. With Grimmsnarl and Hatterene, there is lots of hypermasculinity and hyperfemininity. I don't have a problem with Grimmsnarl's representation of it. Or his body underneath. I can still tell, he is strong regardless of his hair. With Hatterene, her physical body is subjectively unequal to Grimmsnarl. Its not a "she's not pretty still underneath," its a " rebalancing the feminity" ??? I think.
I gave her a more proportional body to match her height, changed her dress to be more witch-like, and change her hair to resemble a cloak. My thought was Gothal's cloak from Tangled.

I've had this one file with like 3 wips, decided to work on the first image a bit. Wanted to share them, cause I legit don't know when I'll get them done.

Grimmsnarl is my favorite pokemon of gen 8 hands down. My coworker got me this overwatch journal for Christmas, and the first thing I did in it was this XD lines and all. I used whatever I had in my pencil pouch. I wish I had a white gel pen in there >:| I wanted to do a background with pink and blue highlighters, but I didn't want to risk it. 2 slightly different angles, one overhead, and one from the bottom left.

Incredible illustration work mixed with 3D rendering by British artist Billy Bogiatzoglou, aka Billelis. I’d really, really love to see these as real-life sculptures and maybe even own a few.

Been working on this for the last month or so. A sort of continuation of this sketch fav.me/dd6vjto The 3d bust I did helped a lot, helped me see the shading. I tried to sketch out a full body image, but ended up doing this bust. It was a combination of wants and wishes. A commission example, art as medicine, something to keep me distracted, an attempt to finalize his head design as a painting, something for me. When I work on my tablet, there are some things I can miss or won't see til I have the file on my computer. I see some things I want to touch up now x.x rip I'm still working on this project. Been doodling his body out.

Been working on an old dragon character I designed back in 2011. I kind of just abandoned him for a good 4 years... I wanted to pick a drawing to do a 10 year challenge. He isn't 10 years old yet, but I picked him because I always tend to draw dragons with pointy snouts and chins, so why not focus on him.
Decided to get rid off his chin horn, because I could not rationalize its practicality. It would get in the way of his bite, and I would imagine it would break off and just be in the way.
He's an aquatic dragon, no wings, so that makes him a drake. I always think of otters, alligators, monitor lizards, basset hounds, corgis, as the intended body type. Short legs, beefed up shoulders, like a pitbull.
