Today I briefly watched an old Tupac interview on fuse. What an articulate and innately charming being and I really need to go to sleep now.

Miranda July is glorious. She had a new film out called "The Future", which can be considered a relationship drama  of sorts. I haven't seen it, but the vibe seems to be like Breaking Upwards, a Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones film about a couple dealing with their open relationship. From what I remember about the film it was very honest and entertaining.  I can definitely agree on July's stance on daily distractions. I waste so much time on Facebook, that I've gone on a weekend Facebook cleanse. I feel clearer minded and less anxious. 

I love Caroline Polachek. For an indie darling her voice is very distinctive as she sounds nothing like those high pitched whispering fairies that are so prevalent nowadays. She has a great presence but at the same time is very "normal" seeming and chill. I must take notes!

I love the lazy laid back feel of this video. I can relate to feeling unable to be productive because I am too busy thinking about someone else, and recalling events over and over again. You become addicted to feeling that way again, and it becomes an escape from reality. You wonder, why doesn't he like me? How could one not like me? The video captures this perpetual state of insecurity perfectly with its isolated suburb settings and the characters' lack of direction. The juxtaposition of shots makes it seem like the characters are in the same setting, but in reality he is in the wilderness, and she is in her house. In the end they switch settings. Their relationship is out of sync. 

I will be 21 in 24 days, and when I do, I will light a sparkler.
