This video and song is such an accomplishment. It has exceeded my expectations. And I must say that Michael looks gorgeous. 

I love Caroline Polachek. For an indie darling her voice is very distinctive as she sounds nothing like those high pitched whispering fairies that are so prevalent nowadays. She has a great presence but at the same time is very "normal" seeming and chill. I must take notes!

I love the lazy laid back feel of this video. I can relate to feeling unable to be productive because I am too busy thinking about someone else, and recalling events over and over again. You become addicted to feeling that way again, and it becomes an escape from reality. You wonder, why doesn't he like me? How could one not like me? The video captures this perpetual state of insecurity perfectly with its isolated suburb settings and the characters' lack of direction. The juxtaposition of shots makes it seem like the characters are in the same setting, but in reality he is in the wilderness, and she is in her house. In the end they switch settings. Their relationship is out of sync.
