Many, many of the world's greatest stories, books, artworks, whatever, wouldn't see the light of day if their authors fear that their fruits of labor would make someone feel uncomfortable. Besides, it's the Internet! Target audience and such. There will always be a loyal group of people supporting you. I'd love to be one of your readers.

A bit of a ramble, and unrelated to my regular stuff, but something I need to get out somewhere and this seems as appropriate a place as any.

I’ve been writing a story for a while… sword and sorcery thing, set in a feudal kingdom, and one of the main characters is the king…  The other is (eventually) his consort, a priestess of the king’s patron goddess.

Because of the nature of the story, it ends up touching on matters of class and title, politics, religion, mental health, monogamy, sexuality, reproduction, gender roles, unhealthy relationships, domestic violence, and… something that could be compared to the… pedestalization-disguised-as-reverence of women similar to the Virgin Mary…
