So I Was Watching A Show Called Schmigadoon! And In The First Episode I Thought To Myself "This Is What

So I was watching a show called Schmigadoon! and in the first episode I thought to myself "This is what people probably think of when they go to Fawcett City for the first time!" Of course Fawcett City is a lot less cartoonish and more realistic but still. If you want to see what I'm talking about just watch the trailer and you'll get the feeling of the show. It has the same old timey vibe, it's literally a magical place, and it seems like a paradise but if you look closer you see issues. It's just on a smaller scale with a town in comparison to a big city.

You know what's the most infuriating thing that Shazam the wizard did? He didn't teach Billy anything about magic!!! Like he's a wizard that chooses someone with no prior knowledge of anything magical to be the protector of the Rock of Eternity, the source of all magic in existence, and doesn't teach him anything! Not even about different types of magic, magical creatures, or special places and as a result Captain Marvel barely does anything with magic, he relies on his other abilities. This is why people compare him to Superman all the time, if they just developed his skills beyond his super strength, durability, and flying people would separate them. "But it would make Captain Marvel too OP ☹️" first off a lot of characters are already over powered in the DC universe and secondly this would mean we could focus more on Billy's life being a child that's homeless/in a big foster family and how that effects his hero life!

I know Billy has to say the word "Shazam" for him to turn into Captain Marvel but at the same time I don't believe Captain Marvel would allow Billy to get seriously hurt or died. There was this one scenario I'm thinking about where Billy's falling from the sky and Superman saves him. But if we're talking about separate Billy and Cap then I know for a fact Captain Marvel would forcefully change into himself in order to protect Billy. (kinda like a Hulk situation)

Injustice AU

I really want to see a short story where Billy is transported to the Injustice universe after his alternate version of Captain Marvel has already been killed and must find a way to return home while navigating the differences in this alternate reality, helping to stop Superman, and protecting Fawcett City. Like can you imagine how crazy it would be to see your own burial then pretend to be the revised version of your alternate self to go into a war. While also facing the idea that the person you idolize for years has become an evil dictator and is the same person who murdered you. Billy having to face his alternate foster family who just lost their son/brother while looking and acting exactly like them (If he had a foster family). Also having to face the scary fact that despite his powers he can get hurt or worse killed, still choosing to protect the world despite the fact it's not his because it's the right thing to do. With a happy ending, of course!

Flash: Hey Cap, why don't you drink?

Cap: What come on, I'm a little guy! I can't drink alcohol.

Flash: What are you talking about? You're enormous!

Cap: You know what I mean, I'm like little.

Flash: You're like 8 feet tall, you're a monster!

Cap: But inside I'm small. I can't do all the things all the bigger guys do.

Flash: ???

You know what must be crazy! Billy going to a museum and seeing Captain Marvel in a painting or artifact. Billy is just living his life doing the one of the free things that won't kick him out, that's also separate from his hero life, and he sees one of the past avatars.

Or Captain Marvel goes to a museum in one of the Justice League's cities sees himself and freaks out. It's even worse if he's on a stealth mission with the League trying to catch a thief.

Cap: Oh my Gods!

Flash: What?

Cap: That's me in the painting fighting demons!

*Points to a painting of a woman covered in blood with a sword in one hand and holding the neck of a demon in the other, screaming like a banshee in what looks like hell*
