So the reason eternatus wants the wishing stars is because they are actually literally pieces of eternatus' body. Somehow eternatus got torn to bits, so it needs wishing stars to be healed. So yeah it would definitely be pissed off about AZ stealing wishing stars. As for galar energy, that exists due to eternatus' core. It's literally the energy that eternatus' core generates.

Also I would like to add on to your theory if that's ok: one of eternatus' pokedex entries states that it originally came to earth 20,000 years ago, meaning it was roaming earth for 17,000 before causing the darkest day. It's also not specified when or how eternatus got torn to bits.

So here's my thought: AZ was willing to kill thousands of pokemon to bring back floette, so whose to say he wouldn't kill a legendary? Maybe he captured eternatus and started using parts of its body to power the weapon, but due to eternatus being immortal this didn't kill it. After the machine is activated, eternatus gets out and starts the darkest day, either as retaliation for what AZ did to it, or due to no longer being whole enough to control it's own power, or possibly both.

So basically I was thinking about how it's weird that I honestly realy like bulbasaur and ivysaur but don't like venusaur for some reason, so I decided why not lets draw a venusaur redesign.

Drawing this made me realize why I didn't care for venusaur's design: it loses the cute aspect of its pre evolutions. Bulbasaur and ivysaur are these lil happy flower frogs, and then venusaur is a deflated toad. So yeah mostly I just gave this a more ivysaur like face, made it less deflated, and then gave it vine hoop earrings cuz why not.

There should be more fics about eternatus, where eternatus ISN'T evil.

What kind of AUs can you come up with for both Leaf and Mewtwo?

First you should probably know what I think Leaf's personality is like: silent, tired parent energy and is caring towards those she cares about. She is also so done with everyone's bs. She can and will destroy you. She enjoys annoying people who piss her off.

Alright, first off let's start with the obvious: mewtwo escapes, meets a young Leaf pre her going off on her pokemon journey. They bond, for some time mewtwo serves to translate for her using his telepathy (oh btw I headcanon that Leaf is silent just like Red). Eventually she sets out on her journey and mewtwo decides to go with her, either as her starter OR as a guardian. Mewtwo would 100% punch Giovanni .

Next up is one I've mentioned before, specifically dumb AU idea #5. I left it vague in the description who the champion is meant to be, but fun fact: when I first came up with that Idea I originally had Leaf filling that role! Honestly any pokemon protagonist could work for that role, but Leaf's deadpan "I'm so done with you humans" attitude fits so well.

This one's not that story driven, but consider: champion Leaf and mewtwo being silent friends who are really tired and just so done with all of humanity.
