Otoya and Karasu look like they should be the same height so they can wrap arms around their shoulders and act like bros. As for the fact that Hiori is freakishly tall, yes I often see authors writing him shorter than Karasu. It's even funnier when you ship them:

People always talk about how freakishly tall Hiori is for his looks (which is completely understandable, I was shocked too), but I also need to talk about Karasu being taller than Otoya. It feels wrong for some reason. Otoya seems so tall and lanky while canonically being shorter than Yukimia, Karasu AND Hiori
