So far Eleven has been a clean slate and a tool for the projection of other male characters' feelings and desires.
For Hopper he is projecting his past and what he feels are his failures as a parent due to something that was out of his control.
For Mike, Eleven is a projection of his need for attention because he's getting none from his family. It's less that Mike is actually in love with her and more about wanting validation.
For Brenner, it's about ultimate power (duh). Her powers are more than she can control and can cause destruction.
Yeah, I don't trust any of the men in this show.

People still calling Jane Hopper by the number “Eleven”. Aggravates me to no end. I either call her Jane or El. Yes, El is short for “Eleven”, but it could be short for Eleanor or whatever. Not me wishing that Stranger Things 4 skipped ahead to 1987 so Dr. Brenner can basically play Michael Santers from Outrageous Fortune, lead Mrs. Wheeler and Ms. Henderson to acting lessons so he can seduce them, destroy the Starcourt Mall and reveal that the Upside Down was a result of that bioweapon he's got with him.
How long before I get blocked from Matthew Modine's Instagram comment section when he posts about Brenner because I keep saying that I doubt Dr. Brenner is coming back?
