Listen, I love Byler and the community, this is by far the funnest fandom I've ever been in, but some of you are straight up jerks.
Those kind of Bylers are completely fine when their mikey poo and willy will are shipped together, but as SOON as Will or Mike are shipped with ANYONE else but each other? Oh, that's a problem.
As soon as I open up the comments of a Lucas x Will, Dustin x Will, Mike x Lucas, Mike x Dustin, Mike x El post it's all "Byler solos", "Byler>>" and "Byler endgame!". And then those are the same people who rant about how Milevens don't respect their ship. You're just as bad. You're being JUST as disrespectful.
I'm so tired of it. It's literally embarrassing to ship Byler at this point. Either respect ships, or admit you're just as bad of a person as everyone else.
Pspsps this Isn't byler hate, of course It isn't, I ship byler myself. It's just so annoying to watch the constant hypocrisy and stupid arguments over silly little stranger things ships, especially between byler and mileven. Anyways, byler and mileven shippers kiss me.
Idk if anyone else has pointed this about before -- After getting bullied at Rink o Mania, El hides in the Employees Only room, where she crouches next to a fake red airplane and a rolled up carpet with a pattern that could represent stars or Christmas lights. Wonder if this has anything to do with "you can fly, you can move mountains" cause that line is weird asf nd im trying to piece it together. Perhaps "flying" is just a word used to show her personal independence, freedom, and strength against oppressive/abusive people in her life? And how her finding her strength will always have implications for her connection to the upside down (the christmas lights).
The airplane is also red, and Will's painting has a red dragon (dragons fly too) -- perhaps reinforcing the connection between El and Will somehow through this idea of flight. [[Also, the sort of Christmas light-type lighting comes up several times in the season, I'll probably talk about that another time.]]

holly wheeler - who/what are you? an informal post about all of the holly oddities I've discovered so far.
where do I even begin with this one? I'm just going to jump into it and show you all the weird connections I've found that mostly relate to holly-el/jane, holly-alice and holly-sarah. I have no real conclusions so far so I invite everyone to take a look and share their thoughts.
oddity one: the hair
All four are blonde girls, and three have pigtails or twin braids, reminiscent of rabbit ears.

And why the rabbits? Well, they're all a reference to Alice in Wonderland. The first rabbit in the painting in Jane's room is just literally the rabbit from AIW, fitted with a pocketwatch.

Holly's outfit in Season 5 is incredibly colourful and there are at least 3 different rainbow items inside her room.

My questions have already been: why is Vecna/Henry seemingly interested in her enough to not only lure her but continue 'playing' with her for multiple scenes? Why is Holly suddenly relevant?
I'm also a BTVS fan, and the idea of a younger sister suddenly introduced had me thinking of Dawn. Dawn was Buffy's younger sister introduced suddenly in Season 5 (literally out of nowhere) - until it turned out that she wasn't a fully real person, but a powerful energy turned into a human that was sent to the Summers' house where they would protect her. She never existed until she was fourteen, but they all believed she had with false memories. Furthermore, she becomes the target of that season's villain which Buffy has to protect.
So then we get to Holly's room:
Most notably for this post are ALF and the 'A Royal Pain' book. Let me just show you the plot summaries for both, starting with ALF:
I initially thought the ALF reference was just a reference to El (and it very much could be a dual thing). But considering the strangeness.... and the parallels that are coming to light between them.
A Royal Pain:
There has already been baby-switch precedent in the show. In fact it's a major theory about Jane Ives and El - that they aren't the same child. But when it's been specifically brought up, it's been in relation to the Wheelers. Karen, was your other daughter swapped in the hospital? Or something even crazier?
I'll get to more when my ideas are less of a mess. But there's also something interesting @bylerposting has brought up - the way that Mike has this whole interesting out of place dialogue with El.
But what if it wasn't about El - what if it was also subtext for Holly? She came into the family even though she wasn't a biological daughter. The Wheelers were like her new parents, and Nancy was like her new sister.
And there's so much more I'm thinking of but can't get to right now, like Holly with the lights and her perception of the supernatural before others sense it. I just want to get this ball rolling for real.

But I know you’re getting older, growing, changing, and I guess, if I’m being really honest, that’s what scares me. I don’t want things to change. So I think maybe that’s why I came in here, to maybe try and stop that change. To turn back the clock, to make things go back to how they were. But I know that’s naïve. It’s just not how life works. It’s moving, always moving, whether you like it or not. And yeah, sometimes it’s painful. Sometimes it’s sad. And sometimes it’s surprising, happy. So you know what? Keep on growing up, kid. Keeping up with the Wheelers
one of the only songs i wanna see in stranger things season 5 is electric blue by ICEHOUSE idk if it’s just at the end for one scene i wanna see it i wanna hear it wanna see these kids dance happily with high energy to it i want lights i don’t care if it’s the closing song for the series i want it there
Brenner & Eleven Theory
Eleven is actually a clone of Dr. Brenner's daughter. Some sort of Dr. Fuji and Ambertwo situation like in Pokemon. Maybe Brenner's daughter died in a horrific accident so Eleven was planted as an experiment as not to create suspicion at the lab. Maybe he's not supposed to be experimenting with gene splicing and cloning. That may explain why he wanted her back so badly, she's a copy of his daughter.
Or Eleven is a clone of Hopper's daughter, thus Hop's attachment to her. Perhaps the dna from his dead daughter used as an experiment to see if telekinesis can be passed from mother to child.
Adding to this theory, when Brenner gives El the flower in that S1 flashback, the flower is an African Violet, a plant that can be spliced and cloned. I still think this is a small subtext that is subtlety telling that us she's a clone.
Brenner & Eleven Theory Pt. II
The reason why Terry Ives wanted Eleven back so badly was because of mother/child attachment and postpartum depression, despite the child being a clone she incubated as part of Brenner's cloning and telekinesis transference experiment. Of course Dr. Brenner couldn't allow this to happen because of Eleven being a clone and the information about the top secret experiment leaking to the public.
I think Stranger Things will end with Eleven and Brenner reuniting near the end of the last season to take down the Mindflayer together after the other numbered subjects have failed at killing it. They’ll probably both die while defeating it.
