I think the writing on Vanessa is a bit off in the third movie. I didn't really understand the reason she broke up with Wade. Was it that he wasn't being enough of a hero or something?

Kind of wish the movies made Deadpool a bit more morally gray. Underneath the R-rating, it's still very simple one-dimensional motivations of wanting to do good in the world and be a superhero. Seems like a lost opportunity, but it's Disney not Amazon or Netflix I guess. The Daredevil series on Netflix was probably the best representation of a more nuanced approach, but I fear the upcoming one will be ruined by Disney again.
