Lately, Shidou has been ignoring Y/N for months now, all because since Shidou's childhood friend appeared in his life once again, then he started neglecting his own girlfriend and gave most of his attention to his childhood friend named 'Ray', Y/N always thought that Shidou was better off with Ray and that Ray was way more prettier than her, One day, Shidou and Y/N had an argument at their shared apartment,

"Ever since that Ray girl appeared you started ignoring me, you treat her like a girlfriend and treat me like a stranger!? how generous of you!"

Y/N said, never daring to raise her voice at Shidou.

"Stop being so Childish, she's just a friend."

Shidou said, not raising his voice... yet.

"Childish huh.... childish, yet you treat me like a lowly peasant while give Ray princess treatment!? stay clueless on how much... nevermind..."

Y/N said

"Hah! ran out of excuses Y/N? How pathetic of you, and, Dont act like the victim whom I hurt!"

Shidou snapped, rising his voice.

Y/N flinched, her lips quivering and her hands clenched into fists, and also avoiding eye contact, it was obvious she wanted to cry, just then, the sight of her made Shidou realized how much he'd been neglecting the love of his life, he realized how she might have felt and started to question himself,

'what am I doing? why did I say that?'

Shidou thought, Mentally realizing how much Y/N had been suffering, but before he could say anything, Y/N excused herself to do some homework in her room and ran off, This made Shidou feel a pang of guiot and fear,

'What if she hated me since then? what if she leaves me?'

Shidou thought again, conflicted on what he should do, despite his actions, he loved Y/N dearly.

So then, Shidou went to Y/N's room and knocked on the door.

"... Y... Y/N?"

Shidou asked.

"Go away!"

Y/N snapped, her sniffling was audible to Shidou and it made him fear more of losing Y/N.

"lemme in hun..."

Shidou said in a soft way.

"Don't call me that! Shidou I kept doubting and mentally hurting myself and you're to blame."

This stabbed Shidou, Y/N usually called him nicknames such as Baby, Hun, Ryu, Ryuryu but never ever Shidou, and he was the reason why Y/N was acting like this.

"Y/N."

Shidou calmly said.

Then a hic from Y/N was heard and she was whimpering quietly, She was hurt, of course she was, it's only natural after all since she's probably been like this a few times for months since Shidou started neglecting her.

"No!"

Y/N yelled.

I wanted to scream about this so bad.

It was strange, really. How it all happened. Lily disappeared, and no one noticed for a couple minutes. The little girl had a tendency to move on her tiptoes, so always snuck up- or away- on people. Despite most parents saying that she probably got bored and went to her room, Naomi and William insisted on looking for her, with Mike and Emma joining not long after, and Mariana got getting involved closer to the evening. Hours passed; midnight was nearing. The kids also tried to help at some point, but eventually gathered in the middle of the room before the inevitable.

Then the rift happened. They travelled a long distance, so of course they would be where they fell asleep. Everyone sat in a circle, going over their plan one last time, before they could begin their escape.

But Taylor noticed that Ben went pale. She noticed tears slowly pool in his eyes, and him slowly raise a hand to the glass door. It was a weak gesture; you couldn’t even tell immediately that he was pointing at something. Then Aiden picked up on it, immediately turning around to see what horrified his cousin so much.

The smile melted of his face when he saw the slightly ajar door, with only a few droplets of blood splattered on it. At that point everyone was looking. Logan shrank back into his corner, Taylor covered her mouth, stifling a gasp, Tyler subconsciously moved closer to his sister, A small seed of guilt bloomed in Ashlyn’s chest, ben wiped away his tears, making a move to stand up, but changing his mind.  They all had the same suspicion, but there was hope that they were wrong, that it was just the weird lighting, or their tired minds playing tricks on them, or something, anything but what they assumed.

Ashlyn stood up. She really didn’t want her suspicion to be true. She feared it so much, and she feared Ben’s reaction more. She never had any siblings, so she could never imagine what it was like to lose one. She slid the door wider open so she could walk through, took exactly two extra paces and froze.

A pool of blood, and a mangled body of a seven-year-old girl. She heard everyone else stand up and start her way before they stepped out of the house.

Their reactions were all the same, horror, shock, tears. What you would expect after seeing a disfigured body. Ben made his way there the last. He feared the truth, he still possessed some hope that Lily, his little Lily was alive.

A croak cut through the silence that everyone unwillingly built. A first sound that left his throat in a little over a year. Followed by a broken sob.

All the plans got moved back. Even out of the phantom dimension, as everyone woke up tear stained.

Under the pressure of the concerned glances, the dam broke. Naomi and William, already stressed about Lily still missing were absolutely destroyed. Tears flowed for the whole day, and the day after that. In desperate hope, William suggested that maybe she wasn’t dead, like Tyler and Aiden were. It was a feeble thought. But they clutched to it like their lives depended on it. Lily’s did.
