Heyy I Love Your Blog So Much And Youre My Fav Naruto Blog As Well! I Wanted To Ask If You Could Explain
heyy i love your blog so much and you’re my fav naruto blog as well! i wanted to ask if you could explain how sakura stayed useless even in shippuden where apparently she got her so callled character development. i know, at least from my experience, that now people are starting to like sakura more and praise her for the bare minimum. my biggest issue with her is the fact she’s a main character (and her personality but that’s just my opinion. people can like her for her personality tho) but doesn’t contribute anything relevant to the plot. even if she wasn’t there nothing about the plot would have changed. she’s so irrelevant which makes me wonder why she’s even there in the first place. and then you have her fans who try to “debunk” any argument against her that says she’s useless when in reality she is, especially in crucial moments (like her having to destroy obitos rinnegan but her hesitating for whatever reason.) being a medical ninja doesn’t mean she’s useless. i guess some fans misunderstand what many anti-sakuras are saying. it’s the fact she doesn’t do anything when the stakes are at cost. all she does is cry and say she’ll get better next time and when next time arrives she whines and complains again. only time i could give her halfway credit was her fight at the BEGINNING of shippuden against sasori, but even then she was being used as a puppet by chiyo and sasori let himself be killed, cause let’s be honest if sasori wanted to he could have easily destroyed them. anyway, my point is her being a medical ninja or not as strong/powerful as sasuke or naruto isn’t the reason, at least for me, to call her useless, but the mere fact she is a) just mediocre at her job. she didn’t invent anything new, all she did was copy what tsunade had already invented. b) she literally does her JOB. nothing to be praised about. it’s legit what she’s supposed to do. c) she makes a fool out of herself when she decides to show off her skills (mainly cause sasuke is around, which again further proves her “development” doesn’t even exist). like i would be fine with people just accepting sakuras character as it is but i feel like today’s generation tries SO hard to make ANY female character into a “girl boss” even tho they freaking suck. i as a woman am insulted at seeing stuff like that tbh. like i completely get wanting to have strong, independent & powerful female characters, i do, but then look for actual strong women (doesn’t even have to be in narutoverse but if it had to be we have kushina, tsunade, konan). like why try to make an obviously bad character into a feminist icon? it’s just cringe. anyway sorry for the long ask/rant. i hope you’ll have a great day/night!
You Know Anon.... My Mood swing on reading this Ask.... Ranged from...
i wanted to ask if you could explain how sakura stayed useless....
Awwww!!!! Please.... Not Againn.... Don't ask me to repair this character.... (Since Am already struggling to write about her with 2 other big Asks pending) 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

Yaaay!!!!!! Someone reflects my mind...... 😁😁😁😁😁

i completely get wanting to have strong, independent & powerful female characters, i do, but then look for actual strong women (doesn’t even have to be in narutoverse but if it had to be we have kushina, tsunade, konan). like why try to make an obviously bad character into a feminist icon?
Wooow!!!!!!! Lot's of LOVE for this person!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just Awesome!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Anyways... Back to your Question.....
i wanted to ask if you could explain how sakura stayed useless even in shippuden where apparently she got her so callled character development.
I heard a lot about Sakura's 'Character Development' in the beginning of Shippuden. But somehow I always get perplexed by this statement. Why didn’t I see any development from her??? Did I went blind when I watched it????
Just because a girl learnt a Jutsu or Two and punches few stuffs..... It can't be called a Character Development...... It's called becoming Mary Sue...... A true Character Development is when a Character learns some life lesson after some time and emotionally mature enough to take some decision... Whether it's a right one or wrong is a different thing altogether.....
Of course, this Girl cured Kankurou by developing an Antidote.... Kudos.
Of course, this Girl learnt her Chakra control very well and she can able to break anything. Cheers!!!
Of course, she worked in sync with Granny Chiyo to fight with Sasori.... (Not defeat him though)
Now....
What about her emotional development????
Let me show you her emotional development with valid receipts...
This is your so-called Developed Sakura at the beginning of Part 2....
Naruto is saying this to Sakura specifically... “Inside me..... is sealed the Kyuubi”......
And she acknowledges Naruto’s situation about the way he was treated so poorly because of the Kyuubi. And Naruto is saying why Akatsuki pursuing Gaara and Naruto. “Because we have monsters contained in our bodies.... That’s what they’re after....”.......
Right after Naruto convey the real deal of Akatsuki..... this “so-called” developed girl is proposing some Grand plan to save her Sasuke-kun.......
“As we get closer to Akatsuki, we get closer to information about Orochimaru.... And therefore we get closer to Sasuke-kun”
WOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!! AMAZING EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT.... KUDOS........ SAKURA IS READY TO OFFER NARUTO TO AKATSUKI INORDER TO GET SASUKE-KUN’S DICK..........
Way to go, you Kween!!!!!!!!!!! Be a Girl-Boss!!!! Kyaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Hmmm.... I have another receipt of her emotional development in the very same Arc.....
This is that “So-Called” Sakura before the fight with Sasori...
“Knowledge of traps.... Instant reaction..... I don’t have either of those”.....
Oh so this Girl knows how to be humble, eh????? I am surprised...
And Granny Chiyo reassures her that she is here to help her out!!!!.....
So far So Good!!!!!
But the Moment Sakura hears about Orochimaru..... Her behaviour and attitude completely changes!!!!!! Like she woke some Demon inside her.....
Now here comes the Badass Kween Sakura who is going to knock the ass of Sasori!!!!! Look at the fire in her Eyes!!!!
Why after Orochimaru’s name specifically????? What’s in it for her?????
The Receipt shows that
Ah Here you go!!!!!! It’s all for her Sasuke-kun!!!!!
Lo and behold!!!!
This is your “So-called” Developed Sakura in Shippuden!!!!!!
I can’t even write this with the straight face!!!!!!
Well... there is this panel she thought once about Naruto...
But why is she thinking about the Mummified Naruto when she promised that she will be with him to save Sasuke-Kun.... Why not think about the current Naruto who was suffering from the fate of being a Jinchurikki.... ????
Oh by the way... The Databook also says the same...
HeHeHe.... :-)
I don’t know what people find in this Girl from this Arc and they boldly claim that this girl got Development..... But to me... She doesn’t look like someone who got over the itch to obtain Sasuke’s dick. Plain and Simple!!!!!
If people call her Learning a Jutsu or two by punching the shit out of everyone as a proof of development.... Then all they expect from this character is to be a Mary Sue..... or Captain Marvel or Wonder Woman!!!! Not some woman who is able to endure anything to save other people... Not some woman who can empathize and be kind to her friends!!!!
They don’t really care about her Emotional Development!!!!!!
But I must agree that.... She became tolerable in this Arc.... I didn’t find any irritation or disgust like I got from her during Part 1. (Though I got some mild disgust here and there)
But being Tolerable is not Development!!!!
i feel like today’s generation tries SO hard to make ANY female character into a “girl boss” even tho they freaking suck.
More than NH and SS harassers I have to start blocking these kind of dumb people.... Because the way they clown themselves under the name of Feminists is just indigestible for me.... Seriously!!!!
Stupid Fake Feminists!!!
look for actual strong women (doesn’t even have to be in narutoverse but if it had to be we have kushina, tsunade, konan). like why try to make an obviously bad character into a feminist icon?
Oh!!! They can’t and they won’t!!!!!
Because Sakura is the only person to share reasonable screen time with 2 Main Characters.... So, Obviously they try to self-insert with her character.... Because with NS you have this luxury of Bullying and Beating a Main Character.... With SS you get the luxury of getting pounded by Handsome Christian Grey.... Oh Sorry.... Sasuke-kun...
With Tsunade, Konan and Kushina.... You won’t get such eye candies and hot smex .... Would You????
That’s why they consider her as a feminist icon.
doesn’t contribute anything relevant to the plot. even if she wasn’t there nothing about the plot would have changed. she’s so irrelevant which makes me wonder why she’s even there in the first place.
I am writing another lengthy post on this... But I’ll explain very short here...
She is very similar to Naruto in many aspects if you really pay attention to her character. For example..... Naruto likes to prank.... Sakura too..... Naruto has inferiority complex.... Sakura too.... Naruto loves Sasuke.... Sakura too.... And there are so many....
At the same time.... Sakura is entirely opposite to Naruto in many aspects which made her thoroughly despicable... For example.... Naruto is a person who desperately tries to understand other people.... Sakura is purely Selfish.... Naruto cares about all of his friends.... Sakura don’t.
Her first purpose in this story is to show the readers that
How Naruto is the best person for Sasuke than Sakura ever would be and
How Sasuke shows his difference in behaviour towards Naruto and Sakura....
Her second purpose in this story is to use her as a Gay Shield/ Beard for Naruto....
Every reaction Naruto gives for Sasuke is very similar to Sakura in many ways.... If Naruto alone chases Sasuke, it would be very obvious and gives off serious Homosexual vibes... Add Sakura along with him... It won’t be blatantly evident because people have Heteronormative Lens and Kishi just used it against them.
Like if you really notice, every time Sakura confesses her Love.... Right after that Naruto also confesses something to Sasuke which always makes him go Wide eyed.... Be it in VoTE1 and VoTE2...
CONFESSION 1::
This Girl is screaming “I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU THAT I CAN’T EVEN STAND IT (Loneliness)”.....
And that’s his response!!!!
Whereas Naruto just said... “You are my first Bond..... “ For which Sasuke went really wide-eyed and went on to evolve his Sharingan....
CONFESSION 2::
Again Sakura saying the same thing... She even says that she could’ve done anything to bear his pain and that she loves him and cares about him....
LOL.... No explanation Needed.
Whereas Naruto just said, “It hurts whenever I see you suffer...” There is no I Love you or any grand confession... It’s very simple words...
And Sasuke goes Wide-Eyed again....
These are the differences Kishimoto wanted to show between Naruto and Sakura. And he used her in whatever the way he saw fit... Because he fucking can!!!! The fact that people are so narrow-minded to the point that they need a confession from a girl is enough to ship 2 people... Whereas they don’t really care about how a Boy really feels. If they truly cared about N and S’ feelings people wouldn’t have shipped Hinata and Sakura with these boys...
That’s why he intentionally wrote these two characters to be worthless and despicable and as Gay Shields. But still people went onto like these Useless Girls and made him write some shitty sequel and he is not even holding back... He is deriding these two girls with a burning passion even more.
Only perceptive viewers can notice these nuances....
To understand the existence of a Character in any media, all we have to do is to Question ourselves....
Why this character is like this for 700 chapters???
Why didn’t this character evolve???
What are the other parallel characters for Sakura???
If Kishi can make Tsunade (her parallel from another Generation who is very similar to her personality) in to a Strong Lady what was stopping him from making Sakura like that????
If Kishi can make Rin (her direct parallel from one generation above who is also a Medic) in to a Tolerable, Talented enough to do eye transplant within minutes, Kind and Caring person.... What’s stopping him from making Sakura like that???
If Kishi can make Karin (her direct parallel in terms of Loving Sasuke) in to a useful person who doesn’t require the Validation of Sasuke and had many interesting Jutsu in her Arsenal... What’s stopping him from making Sakura like that????
If you ask all these questions to yourself..... You’ll get the answer.
It’s just like Kishi said once.... It’s a Love Triangle where Sakura sees Naruto as her rival with Sasuke as the Central Figure.
That’s why in Chapter 699... Sasuke rejects her with a Poke whereas he accepts Naruto by receiving back the symbol of his Bond, that striked out Hitai Ate, which brings the Love Triangle to an Indirect Conclusion.
So Yeah.... In Short.... Sakura’s existence in this story is to be the (Love) Rival for Naruto and also as a Beard. They can like her for the way she is but blaming the Author is just pure Idiotic.

More Posts from Yinyangtwinflames
I think Soichiro had survived to the warehouse scene. I think although being devastated by finding out his son is Kira, he wouldn't condone Matsuda shooting Light. I think he would intervene and get Light some medical help. Because even though his son is a mass-murderer, he's still his son. And he can't just sit back and watch. That would've been interesting to see. Although my heart hurts for his mother and sister when they find out. 😥 Light why?
Actually I kind of doubt the warehouse scene would have happened if Soichiro had survived because Light wouldn’t have attempted murdering his dad. Light keeps the entire task force alive for as long as he does because he specifically doesn’t want to kill his dad as well. For that matter, I’m also pretty damn sure this whole “seduce Takada” plan would have never taken off if his dad were around either and second arc as a whole would have looked very different.
Buuuut if we’re going to disregard Light’s characterization and assume the warehouse proceeds as planned, I also really doubt Matsuda would have shot Light if Papa Yagami were right there. How could he? Like sure, he feels betrayed and all, but anything he feels would be nothing compared to what Soichiro would have felt and there’s really no way Matsuda could squeeze himself in there with his own comparatively tiny personal angst.
In that scenario, it’d be the SPK who shoot Light, and the SPK wouldn’t have gone nuts with their guns like Matsuda does so there’d be a very good chance that Light could have been stabilized and received medical attention. Even Ryuk might have kept Light alive a liiiittle longer just so he could watch the drama between Light and his dad. But then again, maybe not. I don’t think Papa would begrudge the SPK for trying to stop Light from writing by shooting him nonlethally and once, but that’s with retrospect. In the moment, all he’d see is his child suffering and in pain and Soichiro is demonstrably irrational when it comes to his kids. He fails completely to be an unbiased police officer when it comes to Light and Sayu and the idea that Soichiro would just watch someone gunning down his kids is totally unbelievable. I’m pretty sure Papa would put himself between Light and his shooter, swat the note scrap out of Light’s hands and plead with him to stop. He wants answers, not a dead son.
Light gives everyone an explanation as to why he believes he’s in the right prior to getting shot, and I find it very difficult to see how Papa would miss the parallels between what Light is saying and what he taught Light personally about the importance of justice and self sacrifice. That’s the part that has to hurt even more because he, of all people, would be inclined to view Light as a good person who was just deeply misguided. Soichiro of all people would not give up on his son, and wouldn’t see him as an irredeemably evil human being. He’d want Light to turn himself in peacefully and atone for what he’s done. The actual warehouse scene would have eviscerated Soichiro emotionally.
Kishimoto never meant for Hinata to be seen as Naruto's savior in Pein arc. However, he was also smart enough to be creative about it. By this time, he knew Hinata would be paired off with Naruto, he could have written Hinata with a bit of grace. But Kishi doesn't work like that. To choose to write her confession this way, he showed her to be a silly girl infatuated with the hero, not as a shinobi or someone who cares or thinks of her family or village or anything else. She has been almost invisible prior to this in Shippuden, hardly having any contribution to the narrative or a battle. So this chapter could have served to portray a more well rounded Hinata, but Kishimoto had different plans. Safe plans though. On a surface level, it seems Hinata is doing it out of the force of her love for Naruto, but we get to see how things unravel and it does not show Hinata in a good light.
So while Naruto is battling Pein, it is made clear that Naruto's message has reached the Konohabitants (people of Konoha), and they know what to do, not interfere.
This message has reached Hinata as well.
She is clearly worried, she is sitting there, under the protection of her branch family bodyguard.
We can see that Katsuyu is there with her and her injured slave.
So while Hinata is on this side, on the other side, Inoichi and team have located Pein and need to send teams with chakra sensing type shinobis to look for the exact location.
Well, Hinata is a chakra sensing type.
Right then, to stress on this, Kishi makes Gai's team enter Konoha, and Neji is shown to use Byakugan to recognise Jiraiya's frog, Gamabunta. So we get the impression that a chakra sensing shinobi would have been really able to help.
But then, before anything could happen, we see her doing this.
And then immediately, we see this happening to her.
Hehehe, idc what anyone says, Kishi did it this way for the chuckles, I just know it. You must have seen this happening in cartoons, some foolhardy loser who highly overestimates their abilities would unthinkingly rush in to fight the villian with all the swagger they could muster and get yeeted out in the atmosphere Right Away and then you hear - AAAaaahhhhh... which then slowly fades off into the distance. Always draws chuckles and sniggers, great comic timing. Heh.
Now, just the way Kishi wrote this chapter called 'Hinata's confession', is quite informative of Hinata's feelings for Naruto and Naruto's complete obliviousness of Hinata's existence. We understand that Inoichi has found Pein's location and needs 'chakra sensing type' shinobis in as many teams as possible and they are relaying that message through Katsuyu.
So if Hinata had waited two more seconds, she would have probably been able to contribute to the battle rather than falling on her face with strike one.
Hahaha. Kishi, you genius, you.
He established the whole scene where Shikamaru, Ino, Inoichi, Katsuyu, Shiho etc are planning a smart scheme and following up diligently, actually contributing to the battle. We have already seen Sakura doing her job, helping villagers and the injured (one of her good moments, there are so few and so far apart sigh..), we have seen Konohamaru blast one of the paths of Pein, we have seen Tsunade doing her best saving people, we have already seen Kakashi and team fight Pein intelligently and creatively, and then we see Hinata who is literally just sitting there. How exactly do we see her contribute to anything?
So as we see Kishi developing this battle arc, we have seen how various Konohabitants have contributed to the battle, and we have gotten a strong sense of how absolutely devastatingly strong Pein is, and then we see Hinata charging in like a lunatic, while the others are hatching plans and schemes and actually using their training to somehow defeat Pein.
Yes, Hinata is emotionally driven to protect Naruto and can't think logically but her short sightedness almost got Naruto killed. Some confession. Heh.
If only she had shown some patience and mental acuity, something shinobis are actually trained in. She would have been able to help Naruto and somehow contribute to the battle. But well, that has never been Hinata's strong suit.
Thing is, she admits she is being selfish. She Knows whatever she is doing won't help anyone. She knows she can't hope to defeat or even delay Pein. And she obviously isn't able to help Naruto. She went there to die, she knew she probably would die, so might as well confess to Naruto before either he died at the hands of Pein or her. If she really wanted to help Naruto, she would have used her abilities to hatch a plan of action. Or devised some creative trick. Or something that she knew would have at least a miniscule chance at succeeding. Not what she did.
But well, that's not how Kishi wrote her. Never intended to. He always meant to portray her as a wallflower, someone whose everything revolves around Naruto, who stalks him from a distance, who only shows courage and motivation to fight when Naruto is looking, who does nothing to make her presence felt.
What's even funnier is Kishi establishes this right away. How? With the panel cover of this chapter.
This is Hinata. In a chapter called her Confession.
Sitting there, nervously balled up while not even looking directly at Naruto. Naruto turned away from her, going about his business without even being aware of her existence. How the touch of his distinctly drawn mere passing shadow makes her curl her toes and blush uncontrollably. Like a shy little girl in throes of a high school crush. When Kishimoto said in one of his interviews that Hinata is someone who watches from the shadows, he didn't mean it only figuratively lol. 'Hinata - the shadow girl'. That man cracks me up, the joker.
The visual language says everything you need to know.
He couldn't even be bothered noticing her on his own, is it any wonder that Naruto doesn't respond to her confession?
Colt Fathom I can't believe Felix's dad is an American named Colt Fathom
That is so unexpected One might even say Unfathomable
Near and L are not “basically the same character.”
So the opinion that Near is basically a cheap rip off of L has made me headtilt for years. As someone who adored both L and Near for different reasons, seeing people dismiss Near for apparently being “the same” just never sat well with me. While I do personally consider the criticism that Near’s story arc was weaker than L’s valid, I don’t think the criticism that Near is a “bad character” because he’s basically L is. As an anon asked me on my old blog what my opinions were on this, I decided to re-post my observations here for consideration.
Outward Expressivity
Near is much more open about his sarcasm and taunting
L tends to be offensive in backhanded ways.
Near is also more visually expressive. Near often looks disdainful, irritated, exasperated or smug.
L, while also expressive, tends to be more consistently deadpan and he talks more with his body language (clenched fists/grit teeth) than he does with his facial expressions
Near’s body language is distinctive and he tends to carry himself in defensive postures. This appears to be entirely genuine as we see his body language has not changed from when we see him at the Wammy’s house flashback
L’s characteristic slouched posture is entirely feigned as evidenced by his early appearances in the manga and his mannerisms tend to appear calibrated to prompt very specific responses.
Near often uses toys to help communicate his ideas
L does not use any props to communicate
Attitude towards Teamwork
L makes it quite clear as the most intelligent person in the room, what he says goes. He is authoritarian in his approach to teamwork. He issues orders and expects his team members to obey.
Near is team player. While he clearly wields ultimate authority, Near makes a point to seek out the opinions of his team before proceeding with his decisions.
L will belittle team members who are trying to help him. His response upon finding out Matsuda has chosen to infiltrate the Yotsuba Group on his own is to immediately belittle him in front of the entire team by calling him stupid.
Near, while blunt, does not belittle those who are on his team. Notably, he finds out Lidner undermines his plan to keep everything as normal as possible before Jan28th 2010 by allowing Mello to kidnap Kiyomi. He does not immediately belittle her for ineptitude.
Morality
L states in Chapter 109 that he does not care about morality and that the only thing that matters to him is winning by any means.
Near places greater value on a moral compass and stresses that he opposes Kira because he had determined for himself that it was the right thing to do.
L will take drastic actions that violate human rights in order to secure evidence. L will keep people in detention for as long as necessary to force them to confess if he believes they are guilty.
Near does not take drastic action until he has more evidence to back up his own theories.
(That said I will concede this could be due to the confounding effect of Near not having the same political power as L does by the time he rises to prominence in 2009).
L wishes to turn Kira over to the authorities and personally see to it that he is executed.
Near determines that he would rather have Kira imprisoned in a secret facility for life.
(Though the confounder here may be that the political climate of the world of DN in 2009 is more hostile to the idea of giving Kira a criminal trial than it was in 2004).
L wanted every Kira caught and convicted.
Near, despite having confirmation that Misa is the second Kira, does not press for her arrest at the conclusion of the series.
Self Reflection / Thought Processes
L will literally sulk for months over being wrong about his pet theories
Near is able to accept when he is wrong and will adjust accordingly without turning it into a personal tragedy.
L views the playing field like a dynamic chess board with an opponent who will react and respond to his actions.
Near views the field more like putting together a static puzzle
Mild comparative analysis between Naruto and Romeo and Juliet:
Leaving this one page summary of Romeo and Juliet in place of something more comprehensive, but at the the crux of it, in the play we're met with two teenagers who find refuge in their love for eachother in the midst of the stifling, hyper urban sociopolitical landscape in Verona and decide to fight to be with eachother even in the face of negative consequences. Then a series of unfortunate events occurs and we're left with the tragic ending.
One of the ways they combatted their oppressive landscape was via a "green world." First coined by Northrop Fyre in his "Anatomy of a Criticism," a green world was a literal natural and wild forest setting imbued with magical elements (ie. fairies) that was primarily utilized by Shakespeare in his comedies as a way for his characters to escape the normal world and enter a separate relationship where they could adress/resolve their conflicts + and achieve "metamorphosis."
In Romeo and Juliet, a green world comes in the form of an orchard beneath Juliet's balcony in the second act. Is is there where they are open with one a other about their feelings and express grief over the fact that they're seperated because of family feuding and societal expectations. And it is there where they reaffirm their love and devotion to one another before they part again.
In Naruto, I believe Narusasu's "green world" comes in the form of their shared mindscape that appears every time they clash/their jutsu meet and they subsequently open up about their feelings. Besides the physical landscape of The Valley of the End, it is the place where they share the most vulnerability together. And it is the manifestation of their repressed and/or unrealized desires to connect with and understand one another.
The construction of their "green world" is always preceded by isolated imagery of them reaching out to one but being physically separated by their weapons of choice (the rasengan and chidori). In this sense, there's a cruel irony in that their moments of emotional intimacy happen in the midst of extreme violence, but it's fitting given Kishimoto's thematic setup. Naruto and Sasuke have been brought up in a corrupt feudalistic landscape. Their shinobi world is wrought with cruelty and breeds ninjas that are taught to disconnect from their humanity to become better tools at their villages' beck and call. There is only room for unquestioning dogmatic loyalty and anything less makes you an enemy. The only way they can interact is through violence.
And this is where the interesting addition to the sociopolitical layer in narusasu's dynamic comes in. On a smaller scale, they are separated from each other by their own shortcomings like jealousy and insecurity, but like Romeo and Juliet their care for eachother is considered "transgressive" because of Sasuke's status as a missing nin. Sasuke becomes a "criminal" after rejecting the village that marginalized and extrajudicially genocided his clan. And Naruto, who was sacrificed to maintain the balance of power in Konoha (by having a chakra manifestation of hatred placed in him), is caught between his new staus as a loyal jinchuriki citizen and weapon for the village and his desire to help shoulder Sasuke's burdens and pain.
However, unlike in Romeo and Juliet, there is no beautiful natural refuge for Naruto and Sasuke to meet and and solve their problems. Violence is embedded in their way of living and thus their "green world" or shared mindscape is something they physically create in combat. It is the fruit of their hard work and achievements as ninja in a series where emotional development is also tied to their physical development. And Naruto and Sasuke utilize it accordingly.
It is where they meet and get a glimpse of what the other is feeling. It is where we see the anguish Naruto and Sasuke felt over being torn apart from eachother in VOTE 1 because of external circumstances out of their contol (ie. Oro's curse mark). It is where Naruto opens up about his insecurites and reaffirms his love for Sasuke in a monologue that mirrors Hinata's confession to him in the Pain arc, and his own sentiments from VOTE 1 ("I'm really happy I met you!"). And in VOTE 2 it's where Sasuke tells Naruto, his one and only friend, that they understand eachother's hearts and he has to cut him off to fully be lonely. Through it we got to see the level of care and devlopment put into their bond and their individual characterizations.
And the fact that their last two conversations in the manga take place in the real world is a testament to the fact that they'd outgrown the need for a seperate mental landscape to communicate. It was a sign that they could interact positively without their fists and work to change the systemic issues that led to the series of tragic events that seperated them.
