At this point I have a conspiracy theory that the reason we haven’t gotten a Sonic 3 trailer or even teaser footage is because the studio somehow lost or accidentally deleted the entire movie and now they’re all scrambling and trying to stall for time to find it before December rolls around

After careful study of how Sonic 2 was marketed - I deduce that the absolute latest date the Sonic 3 trailer can drop is the 22nd of August.

Sonic 2’s trailer was released on the 10th of December, 2021, with the movie coming out on the 8th of April 2022.

That is just shy of 4 months.

If we take into consideration that the trailer came out 2 days after the 4 month mark, and with Sonic 3 coming out on the 20th of December, then the latest date of the trailer’s launch would have to be the 22nd of August
